Includes all arsons listen to Adrian Rogers how important that we should be clearly and forthrightly concerning the sale of sexual impurity, fornication, and adultery, and even is creeping into the lives of some of the good name of Jesus Christ, God will be measure several Rogers the sermons too late for me. I've already sent our sin like date, shamelessly what I had alone tell you something… Second J really thank god thank god thank God for the blood of Jesus Christ, God's that Clinton's most welcome to love worth finding featuring profound truth. Simply stated, pastor, teacher and author Adrian Rogers while at the height of his career seeing can tenuous blessing from God. King David committed the sin of adultery part one of today's message Adrian Rogers taught about how marriage is a divine creation. It is supreme commitment when David sinned against his marriage.

He ultimately sinned against himself. But though David was a great center. He was also a great repent or if you have your Bible turn to second Samuel chapter 11 as Adrian Rogers delivers part two of then came sin will please cite assignment chapter 11 verse one and it came to pass after the year was expired at the time when kings go forth to battle that David sent Joab and his service with him and all Israel, and they destroy the children of Ammon embassies Rob but David tarried still at Jerusalem, I noticed the word botanist there is to make you understand that I is not the time that he should've been at Jerusalem, but David tarried still at Jerusalem verse two and it came to pass in an evening tied that David arose from office bed and walked up on the roof of the king's house and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself and the woman was very beautiful to look upon and David Santon inquired after the woman and one said is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of a lion, the wife of Uriah the Hittite and David sent messengers and took her and she came in under him and he lay with her, for she was purified from her uncleanness and she returned him to her house and the woman conceived and Santon told David and said I am with child.

I we going to talk more about the details of what happened to King David and another message but I want to speak to you in a more general sense, tonight about the sin of adultery.

Now David sinned against his marriage affidavit. Of course did not understand to begin with, the beauties of a monogamous marriage imitate what God intended for a man and a woman. God's plan was for one man, and it is wrong. One man to be married to one woman on to do them. We are to stay married and that marriage is to be a pure marriage. I want to just right now in a more generalized sense of sin, for just a few moments.

I want you to see the horrible, horrible, terrible sin of adultery. God has said in his word, how shall not commit adultery. When a man commits adultery.

The same, and how does he see will number one.

He sins against himself. Turn, if you will please the prescript is chapter 6 and verse 18. The Bible says flee fornication for every sin that a man doing this without the body, but he that committed fornication, sin against his own body. I would take something there is no sin in the catalog of sin that will do you more damage that will do you more heart that will do you more harm that I know of been the sin of sexual impurity and immorality is harmful spiritually is harmful psychologically, it is harmful physically but not only does a man sin against his self 20 commits adultery like David did and David so sinned against David latte what else Amanda was he sins against his family and all our man sins what he sins against his. We've said so long that it sounds trite, but the family is the basic unit of society and when a man commits adultery.

He sins against that unit.

When a woman commits adultery. She sins against that unit member lives of thousands of innocent children are being torn apart every year by tragedy, call divorce, and divorce is the only game people play where nobody wins and every body lose. But not only is adultery a sin against one's family, but it is also a sin against the people of God when David so long ago as the king committed adultery. He not only sinned against his family and southeast sin against God's people because he was the leader of God's people. He was a part of God's people and just the same way today are bound together in a community of faith and love and partnership and the Bible says we are members one of another prescript is chapter 3 in verse 16 says no you not that you are the temple of God and that the spirit of God dwell in you, and again the Bible says no you not that we are members one of another, and then the Bible says if any man defile the temple of God, him will God destroy in plain English church records God will rank, but he says this in the context these verses of sexual immorality that you might be sitting there thinking well that's my private life and is not your business what I do in my private life. I would say something if you're in this church is absolutely my business what you do in your private line, not in my business with the business person sitting next to you on either side before and behind you happened to be a member of his church.

We are members one of another man-made unit understand that when you got in the church maybe like to get out and I invite you to leave really serious if you understand that I invite you to come up and say hi and understand that I know what I was getting into church when I was getting into. II I'm sorry. I want out of your mouth will pray for you and try to lead you stay in, but if you still want out. It was a go will let you let me tell you something friend when we come into a church. We are committed to another with a map of the same body water that you asked me is like a person in a big ocean liner says I will. I believe I will some more fresh air. So he knocks a hole in the wall of the ship my hands and will as my business will not apply longboard as our business is our business. I want a different anybody who lives in a sexually impure life is sinning against his shirt. He is helping direct his church and so it is a sand against the church. But not only that adultery is a sin against the nation and historian given when he was listing the five reasons for the fall of Rome put this one as number one.

Adultery is the enemy of the home and the enemy of a home is the enemy of the nation for the life of the nation is but the life of the family written large solid and as our homes go so go our nation.

You know why we have so many great know why we have so many divorces. The why we have so much like abuse. We don't have so much child abuse.

Listen, it is axiomatic when people treat sex lightly. They end up treating all human beings.

Life, but you see David really saw sin at the bottom line and he saw that sin was not just primarily adultery is not just primarily sin against himself and not just primarily a sin against the family and not just primarily a sin against the people of God and not primarily a sin against the nation, but primarily of the bottom line, David's all that is sin was against God.

Go back and look at your will and second Samuel now know I've strayed a long way from our text look, if you will, and second Samuel chapter 12 in verse 13 and David said, Nathan, I have sin against the Lord, I have sinned against the Lord and Psalm 51 verse four David said against the and the only ally sin. The horrible thing about the sin of adultery is that it shows contempt and disrespect for God. David realized that he sinned against God. Adultery is a sin against God. I've sin against the Lord and not only do you break God's law, you break God's heart. Listen to the Scriptures hear what God says listen clearly. Hebrews 13 verse four marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled but fornicators and adulterers God will judge. Listen to Job 31 verse 11 for this is a heinous crime. Yea it is an iniquity to be punished by judges. Listen to Proverbs chapter 6 verses 27 and following gentle man take fire in his bosom and his clothes be not burned in one gulp on hot coals at his feet may not burned so he that goeth into his neighbor's wife. Whosoever touches her shall not be innocent. Listen to Proverbs chapter 6 verse 32 but whoso commits adultery with the woman lack of understanding he do if it just drive his own soul. Listen to first Corinthians chapter 6 verse nine know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God be not deceived you, fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with man time over and over and over again.

The Bible thunders out its warning I tell you, my dear friend, if this is your way of life.

If you want to live this way and continue to live this way and you do not do as David did and repent over them, forsaken and that's one of the ways that we know that David was truly saved because what he did on Michael Paul in his mind and he said my sin is God, your hand is upon me, my moisture is dried up like a summer gravel God have mercy upon me. David slipped into sin. He confessed it and got out. But if this is your way of life.

If you have the mindset of an adult.

If you have chosen, don't you tell me you are saying you you not see be not deceived.

The Bible says neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers themselves with mankind shall inherit the kingdom of God. You better get Satan save people do not practice such sin. Revelation chapter 21 in verse eight says they will have their part, adulterers in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, I will just tell you some ways that you can keep your life from adult and keep your life pure. I thank God that I went to the marriage Opera version. I thank God that I married a virgin. I thank God that I've known that purity in my life and it is by God's grace that I had and I wanted I want to give you something, some some steps that will help keep you on the straight and narrow that you will not get into the situation that David got himself into. So long ago made a very simple things but first of all, give your heart to Jesus. Give your heart to Jesus, I'm glad I was saved as a young man. I'm glad I was saved as a as a teenager I wish I been safe sooner. I believe I would've been saved so probably my condensate is a primary or as a junior. If somebody don't come.

Believe me, the Christ.

But I do thank God that I was saved at an early age life to Jesus and then depend upon Jesus asked Jesus to keep you I know so many times as a young man I had to pray Lord help me or get me out of this place will get me through this landlord take the bus out of my mind. Make a decision for Jesus depend upon the Lord Jesus and then if you're married, listen, fall in love with your wife and keep that love rolling and blowing love God with all of your heart. Love your me not only with your romantic love, but with his love. The Bible says here in Ephesians chapter 5 husbands, love your wives is not a suggestion that's not a request that's a command like a lover. Oh yes you can. Yes you can if you can't love her, then God is unfair to commanded. Suppose God says me jump over this church building builder later in your center while I can worship God like that because I can't jump a listers build you see anything God commands me to do I can do, or God is unfair and bind every command of God, is the omnipotent power of God to carry out that the man in every command is also a problem inherent in that command is the promise of God's strength to fulfill the command. Husbands, love your wives stay in love with your wife continue to allow her day by day fee that love you. Love is not something like a diamond that you just stumble upon it as they are in all of his brilliance and all of its beauty.

You'll just fall in love.

Love is more like a flower has to be cultivated has to be fair, it has to be watered has to be nurtured and let that love grow and grow. I can honestly say that I love my wife more now far more now than I did when I married I thought I loved her with all of my heart then and I did love her with all my heart. It just had such a little heart and my heart has grown and I learned so much in. I found new ways to love her and needs to continue to grow and it will as you nurture it and as you feed it and if you love your wife a lot more now than when you married or you probably love her all whole lot less. But love when I was not only decision and not only dependence, and not only devotion and not only development but discipline, discipline. Some old-fashioned discipline. Guard your company. If there's a fast and loose crowd saturate the crowd with the absence from a companion while fools will be destroyed.

27 times in the New Testament we are told to run the Scripture that I read just a little while ago says flee fornication know the Bible says that no temptation taken you but such as is common to man and God is faithful, who will not suffer man to be tempted above that is able but will with the temptation make a way to escape it. You may be able to bear.

In this instance the way to escape as the Kings Highway two legs in a run pick him up and down, get out of there flee fornication when you do literally place yourself into temptation. You've already sin, the devil now is piping into the homes R-rated movies fill nudity you must not watch always. I asked what the other sides sin. All want to go down and get you some drugs and shoot them in your veins and feel of the other side sleep. Listen for romantic upon his Bozeman be not burn the Bible says flee fornication you and put garbage in your mouth. Would you don't put it in your mind when you do literally place yourself into temptation.

You have sent already. I used to have a model my desk when I was in college. It said is he who would not fall down or not to walk in slippery places you can walk around in slippery places and you're going to fall and is going to be nothing prolonged to watch what you said before your eyes.

Guard your company I companion of fools will be destroyed. There must be a discipline.

David was undisciplined incidentally when he got this trouble.

It was a time when kings went to war and he should've been at war because it was a righteous war and God was there on his side and and God-given. David evidently command but David was doing what he ought not to have been doing. He was in the wrong place at the right time, and then the last line not only discipline but the termination I listen. The psalmist said, my heart is fixed. Oh God you what that means is seven I don't have to keep on thinking about what I will commit the same war made up my mind I'm not going to do patient one big decision will help you through a lot of little decisions you sound does not.

I want to say with Joshua. As for me and my house we serve the Lord. I realize I'm human. I realize I'm weak when I say I'm not going to. I don't mean I'm not going to my strength I mean I'm not going to his drink. I just mean I made up my mind, none of that. The price is too high and I got too much. And besides that I would want to mess up something as beautiful and wonderful as God has given me and you young people you keep your lives to Ann Landers. Notwithstanding you eat your cake. Now you have a crummy tomorrow.

God has a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful plan for you and is wonderful to go to that marriage alter clean yourself to the man God has set aside for you to keep yourself pure as God intended. When he made me there in the garden of Eden. Now you say brother Rogers the sermons too late for me. I've already sin I sin like Davidson. I'm ashamed to say that I had but I want a something God's got a second chance. He really David new in Psalm 51 when he said, have mercy upon me. Oh God, according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. David knew that for multitude of sin. There was a multitude of mercy and David was Clinton's and David said in Psalm 51 I believe verse seven wash me and I shall be wider than snow.

Hallelujah. Think about it that's the counterpart of first John 19 if we confess our sin, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Remember when the Lord wanted Simon Peter to go preach to Cornelius any letdown before Simon Peter, a sheet filled with all kinds of animals that were ceremonially unclean and and God said to Simon Peter.

Peter Isley and Ethan and Peter said not so hard. I anything common or unclean. And God said to him what I want you to hear tonight.

God said Peter what I have called clean.

Let no man: clean by God for the thank thank thank god thank God for the blood of Jesus Christ. God son that cleanses us from all sin. Father, we thank you for your word for your grace. Lord we just pray tonight that you help us one more time to hold up the standard godliness and righteousness before young people and before married couples, Lord, that we might be the nation of people that you have a spring bring us back to God as a nation as a Church's families and individual to you and repented something that we pray in Jesus name, amen.
