God forgives us, does he ever bring up our sins again. Listen to Adrian Rogers God says in Isaiah chapter 38 verse 17, I discussed all my sins behind my back. I love my sins behind God by God ever see my sin again where he looked my sense far behind his back is gone. It is very good but that of God's forgetfulness when you say that's good to get any better. Yes it does. Welcome to lovely one featuring the timeless biblical teaching pastor and author Adrian Rogers Romans chapter 4 tells us the good news of God's grace asked Roger said grace is the unmerited favor and kindness of God shown to one who does not deserve it and can never earn it. In part one of today's message. We learned what Abraham discovered and David described about this grace. What is the apostle Paul had to disclose about God's amazing grace, turning your Bible to Romans chapter 4 if you can, as Adrian Rogers concludes this powerful message. It's time for some good news about what is grace what is grace met definition of grace would you listen to it very carefully. Listen everywhere.

Grace is the unmerited favor and kindness of God shown the one who does not deserve it and can never earn it.

I would give it to you can grace. Grace is the unmerited favor and kindness of God shown the one who does not deserve it and can never earn it and I tell you something already.

If you say you will be saved by grace or you will be saved at all. Now the good news is grace, and chapters 1 to 3. Paul is been telling us about the bed about sin and wickedness, degradation, depravity, all of the things he's been talking to the even he's been talking to the hypocrite. He's been talking to the Hebrew. He's been talking to humanity's heaviest sum it up in Romans chapter 3 verse 23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God that is the bad news that makes the good news good and so let us begin reading here in chapter 4 verse one. What should we say then about Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flechettes found one of Abraham were justified by works, he has worked to glory, but not before God for what set description Abraham believed God, and it was counted on to him for righteousness.

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace.

There is word but a bit but to him that work is not, but believe it on him that justifies the ungodly, is is counted for righteousness not actually what we going to do in our study today we're going to see the gospel according the good news the gospel.

That's what the word gospel means is good news. We're going to see the good news according to three men, according to Abraham. According to David and according to Paul about. First of all I want you to see the grace the good news that was discovered by Abraham to salvation by grace doing what did Abraham discovered first of all, listen, salvation by grace. It respects God's glory. Now look in verse two for if Abraham were justified by works, he has whereof the glory, but not before God know what that means is just simply this, that if Abraham could be saved by being good. He could boast about it, he could glory in his own salvation, but he could say nice things about himself. But I would be saying nice things about God, but when Abraham believed God, he gave God glory. What is salvation by grace do it respects God's glory and Artie what else it does it receives God's gift.

It receives God's gift ballot if you will hear again in verse three it was counted on to him for righteousness.

Now that word counted is used a number of times in this chapter, but if you look at it in the English you would necessarily see it, because the same word is translated imputed and the same word is translated reckoned. I listen very carefully and is all going to come to give them a sense Adam sin was imputed to you, Adam. Sam was put on your account, feel our son David is a missionary jaws. I sometimes want to give him a gift. And rather than sending him a check in the mail. We just cite David will put a check on your account. We just added the account it's there you can write a check overseas because we don't put it in your account over here that we impute that to his account. The reason they can write a check for the layers because we put it on his account only simply means just charge her reckoned to put on your account. Next time you go to the department so it also charges a imputed she will know what you talk about, you can witness to just say imputed charge to my account put that on my account. Now that's what it means about Adam's sin was imputed to you is I didn't vote for Adam. What Adam didn't have anything to do with me all of Adam had had any children. Where would you be think about Adam when he sin became a slave of sin and the son of a slave is a slave.

And besides that you then inherited Adam's sinful nature and Adam's guilt was put on you.

Let me give you verse for that. Romans five verse 12 wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin so that passed upon all men, that is death was imputed all men. We got it from Adam. Sam was imputed to you throughout got that I know what you Adam sin was imputed to you. Our sin was imputed to Jesus.

That's what the gospel is all about you.

In chapter 4. Look, if you will, in verse 25 of chapter 4 look at it. He speaks of Jesus, who was delivered for our fences, not for his own sin, but for our fences but down second Prentice chapter 5 verse 21, for God has made him who knew no sin to be sin for us. You see that God has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin. Jesus was a similar spotless Lamb of God, but I got for that. But God made him to be sin for us, God and make him a sinner.

He was not a sinner but God made him to be sin.

Adam sin was put on me my sin was put on Jesus. Jesus carried my sin to the cross in Leviticus chapter 16, there is a ritual that is the story the scapegoat member of the term scapegoat well in Old Testament times, God gave so many pictures and illustrations of salvation and what they would do they take two goats and bring those two goats to the door of the tabernacle. One goat would be slain, his throat would be cut.

The blood would be spilled out.

That would picture Jesus on the cross in agony and blood dying for us but then Eric the high priest would take both hands and laying his hands on the head of the other goat the live goat called the scapegoat and confess the sins of the people upon the head of that go and then that goat would be led out into the well, never to return. Picturing our sins being carried away by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. And when Aaron laying his hands on the head of that goat the sins of the people of Israel were being placed imputed charged reckoned upon the head of that goat picturing our sins being laid upon the Lord Jesus. Now what's this Adam sin was imputed to you.

Your sin was imputed to Jesus and now. Thank God Jesus righteousness is imputed to us.

That's the gospel. His righteousness is imputed to loss notice verse three but what set the Scripture Abraham believed God, and it was counted reckoned imputed unto him for righteousness. Now that is the grace that Abraham discovered second thing, not only the grace that Abraham discovered, but the grace that David described Abraham discovered it. David described now begin reading in verse six.

For even as David also described the blessedness of the man under whom God imputed righteousness without works, saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. And now you have to understand as they would read this, they would think of Abraham is the greatest of St. they would think of David Branson is the greatest of sentence because David had committed a terrible, horrible, egregious sand. David had committed adultery and order try to cover that adultery. David had committed murder to darken detail.

He had just broken God's commandments. David was worthy of death.

But God brought them to a place of repentance. We received the grace of God, and he wrote a psalm telling about it and that's what Paul is quoting Psalm 32 verses one into. Here's what David Cook after reading experience the grace of God. He wrote last Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven through sin is covered. Blessed is the man in whom the Lord imputed, not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile about deceit. There was nothing David could do.

I mean, he deserved that his case was hopeless. Apart from God's amazing grace. That's verse six even as David also described with the blessedness of the man under whom the Lord imputed righteousness without works. Now he was helpless and God put on his account righteousness now want you to see how he describes that righteousness because this make you happy if you understand first of all, iniquity is forgiven BC that look at it, saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven that in order for God to forgive your iniquity, God has to pay the price.

There are no free pardons not in heaven. If any sin is forgiven, but one who does the forgiving is the one who bears the Bella suppose that Bobby stole $10 for me and he comes back and he is so so smitten.

He says pastor I stole $10 from you and I don't have it to give it back and I say all right, Bobby.

I forgive you now. The minute I forgive him. What happens because me 10 bucks calls me 10 books you see somebody paints so when I forget that sin at that moment I absorb the pellet and that's what Jesus was doing on the cross, God is not overlooking that sand.

God himself is paying the price of that sin and by sovereign grace. He is being saved. Somebody wrote these words, I noted that I could not pay Jesus pay the debt he did not.

I noted that I could not pay Jesus pay the debt he did not know iniquity is forgiven, but is even better than that sins are covered. Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven. Verse seven and whose sins are covered. Even a viper gave me, I would still know that he had done it but when God forgives God. Forget this God says in Micah chapter 7 verse 19 I will cast all their sins into the depth of the sea. Their depths in the ocean that nobody is yet probe as the mountains are high, the depths would be. There are places where the pressure is so great that nothing can even sink their it's as dark as ink is black as midnight and that's where God is put your sins God says in Isaiah chapter 38 verse 17 thou has cast all my sins behind my back. I love that I thought about that all my sins behind God's back and that's where they go to steak and got ever see my sin again. Well my sins by care.

Suppose he turns around to see where they are the still biking where he looked my sins far behind his back as far as the east is from the West so far hath he removed our transgressions from us, not to measure the North Pole south pole, but you can measure these from West know it just goes on and on and all see. David says all my iniquities are forgiven. Yes, but my sin is it is gone. It is buried in the depth of God's forgetfulness when you say that's good could get any better. Yes it does now I want you not to miss this look in verse eight. Not only does he forgive your sin. Not only does he cover your sin. Don't miss this look in verse eight.

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord, are you ready for this will not impute sin. God when you get saved will never put sin on your account again. He will not impute sin, you may use a will pastor Rogers what if I get saved and then I sent again that I hear you say, what if some people have got it. Well I'm living right when I go to him.

That's what you count on you going to hell was I will and I was pretty good when I listen. I wouldn't trust the best 15 minutes I ever live to get me to heaven.

I mean the best, much less some bad ones know we need understand what sin is. The Bible says to him, but not too good not to him the sense the Bible says what is not afraid to say the Bible says the thought of foolishness is sin.

Do you think this is going to get you to heaven so Blessed is the man whose iniquities are forgiven. Blessed is the man whose sins are covered and blessed is the man to whom God will not impute iniquity if he were to put one half of one sin on your account. You die and go to him what happened once, and he's a holy God. But God will not impute iniquity may use any get by with acute care unit, which in beat the daylights lousy chase and scourges every son whom he received very why we need to keep a short account with God but God never put that sin on your account. God put that sin on your account. You have to get saved all over again.

But God will impute there was the grace that Abraham discovered there was the grace that David described now blindly there is the grace that Paul discloses a look at it here if you will. Finally, beginning now in verse six and this is a wonderful thing cometh. This blessedness, then upon the circumcision only means by the circumcision of the Jews. They will call the circumcision, or upon the on the circumcision also fall we say that the faith was reckoned Abraham for righteousness. How then was it reckoned when he was in circumcision are none.

Circumcision not in circumcision but in on circumcision and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of faith which he had yet being uncircumcised that he might be the father of all them that believe though they be not circumcised, that righteousness might be imputed under them. Also know what is all this mean well what Paul is saying is this first well hey folks be stalking you now he's talking to Gentiles and he say look, Abraham discovered it. David described it, but I want to tell you it is forever by is forever not just for the Jews, but for the uncircumcised also be on circumcision. That's what he's talking about the Gentiles that what he is saying is this, no, listen very carefully.

This salvation done come by ritual it on, come by ritual. You see, circumcision was a Jewish ritual.

That said, as he says in verse 11. It was a sign and a seal but he said when was Abraham save before after that sign, and a seal before before I was out apply to us today. Are you say before after baptism before the Bible to say, be baptized and believe, it says believe and be baptized, and the minute you believe your say that some people say you have to be baptized in order to be say less ridiculous if you say you have to be baptized in order to be saved you what you do you take the whomsoever I will Bible ma'am desert can be say because the water here flagrantly say no place to baptizing Amana submarine surrounded by water can be say without growling at the same time open the door you listen you have to say the severance believe, and shall be near water and smart enough to have a preacher of my denomination shall be say that's in the Bible says is sweetly plainly sublimely believe the Lord Jesus Christ amount shall be say with Peter that ties household Cornelius, he said, can any man forbid water, that these should be baptized who have received the gift of the Holy Ghost.

They'd already received the gift of the Holy Ghost before they were baptized. Listen to me for what is Paul saying we see discovered by Abraham we see described by David and then you see it disclosed by Paul is saying it is not my ritual is not by reason all it is by reception. You just receive God's amazing grace well with just a quickly unloaded William Cowper was so tormented and is my he was so distraught he lived in Paris he was going to kill himself. He went down to the same river that runs through Paris and four times he tried to get enough courage to throw himself in the river saying they couldn't do it so I went and got some poison pay was going take the poison. Three times he put the poison to his lips, but he couldn't do it so we set out like a God and I will shoot myself and twice he took a gun and put it to his temples, but could not release the trigger and then somebody told them about Jesus and William Cowper wrote these words, there is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel's veins and sinners plunge beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains pets the grace of God. That's the grace of God. That's errors. That's what Abraham discovered. That's what David described. That's what Paul discloses and friend.

That's what you need is God's amazing grace and I don't many peacocks in heaven.
