Science by God's grace mean you know one way we know we may be living in the end, trying to strange things are revealed like evidence from science from you know from from advanced science that we could have known 30 years ago or whatever.

It seems like science and logic and reason are pushing Faith out and the reason I wrote this book with the title is God that is that since about that time since about 1966 evidence has been coming in from all over the place, but mostly science that is so astonishing and then the funny thing Mike is that people just never hear about it and I was wondering have astonishing evident but then he think nobody hears about it doesn't even exist.

I mean you know if you if you never hear that science is pointing to God you're living in a world where it's not true why I'm here to say it is and then the number one argument from science because I thought I find I thought about biblical archaeology, which is also unbelievable stuff has been coming out and then I talk about atheism itself me in the book of the science part of the three things that I write about. Probably the easiest to grasp is what we call the fine-tuned universe. The idea that science keeps discovering things about our universe, which it couldn't have known before we and of the tools to see these things but now we can see things and measure things and we say holy cow, if the earth were a little bit bigger for little bit smaller. There's no life. We can learn that growing up in school science now says that if the earth were the tiniest bit bigger and I mean just a tiny bit bigger, our gravity would be obviously stronger and we would pull down you know poisonous things into the atmosphere that right now we we we couldn't breathe them there there there there there drifting up. You know they exist, but but but if the if the planet were bigger. Science says yes the our atmosphere we would not be able to exist.

They say if the planet were the tiniest bit smaller.

Our magnetosphere now people there with my nephew exactly finally learning about the science says the magnetosphere is necessary to keep our atmosphere roughly as it is if the planet were a little bit smaller. Like say the size of Mars we would have atmosphere like Mars are our atmosphere would've escaped into outer space.

I mean, that's a really simple thing, but this is what science says this is not what some Christians think this is what science teaches in at one tiny example, but everywhere you look. Science keeps finding things that they say wow what a great coincidence that the earth is exactly the size it is because it wasn't. There's no humanity. There's no life we we discovered that the planet Jupiter who would think that it matters whether Jupiter is there or is not. There was enough to do with life on earth well we didn't know until fairly recently that any and again it sounds crazy. This is what science is it said that Jupiter is so huge and it's gravity is so powerful that it pulls away all kinds of asteroids and meteors and comets that would hit earth. Another but if there aiming at her. It is the tremendous gravity extending throughout the note, funny because he think I gravity it it doesn't. It even reaches through our whole solar system and it is pulling these things away toward itself talk about Jupiter right now and science method here, by the way if Jupiter weren't there. Many scientists have lost their atheist faith. As a result of this, which shaken their faith because they think this doesn't make any sense. How can everything be so perfectly perfectly fine tune. All right, back to my guest, Erica Texas, author of the new ready best-selling book is atheism dead Eric you wrote an article about seven years ago in the Wall Street Journal that took off.

We surprised by how does that relate to the subject of your book. What got me to write this book. I wrote the previous typical of miracles, and in it I talk about what I just mentioned this program. The fine-tuned universe and the evidence is just crazy and in the last seven years it's increase increase increase increase my thought no, I thought I put some of it back in that book miracles and I wrote an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal and went so viral that became the most popular shared article in the history of the Wall Street Journal and it was the same thesis as we talk about now is is science pointing to God. I mean, most people think that can't be.

I keep hearing over and over that scientist is is pushing us away from God. The more signs we learn, the less we need God that is totally untrue and that's the thesis of this book is that everything you've been taught. The opposite is happening and we need to know that science as every day that passes, the more science discovers the more it points atheist agnostics. Whomever, to the God of the Bible, or at least to a God. And then I get into other stuff and it's great in the in the book about biblical archaeology. Most people don't know for example that a guy that got to know Dr. Stephen Collins archaeologist lever he discovered biblical Sodom. There is an entire chapter in the book it 20 things that you know when you first hear it. You think this the can't be. You can't discover this is 1700 BC. This is Abraham's time. This is so long ago, and it must've been obliterated. You'll never find it's probably of the Dead Sea. This man because he believes in the scripture he was reading Genesis and he says you know what, according to this, we never looked where the Scripture says it is.

Figure this out and in the early 2000. Went to Jordan which you know would be tougher to do a few decades ago, he finds a so-called tell these one of these you know they built cities on top of city of these have a huge mound of where these ancient cities we find 23rd. I think this is it big big when he gets to the 1700 BC level in the excavation boom they find and amazing level of soot 5 feet deep. Nobody knows what to make of it.

There's nothing that can cause that it doesn't make any sense within it, he finds a piece of pottery from exactly that. 1700 BC and he sees a glassy green glades on the potter ego that the technology to do this didn't exist until 24 centuries after 1700 BC. Why is this glazed pottery which I know is from 1700 BC out of this possible. They take it to a lab and they determine the only thing that could could have produced this is a heat so intense that it melted the pottery there was an article in nature magazine two weeks ago. Just two weeks ago with 21 scientists weighed in on all that this archaeologist Stephen Collins discovered 21 secular scientists in the premier journal of the day. Okay he wrote about a peer-reviewed article corroborating everything that he says and saying that the only way this could have happened. This destruction was a cosmic airburst event. What is that that is when a meteor or asteroid comes into the Earth's atmosphere and explodes. This one was so powerful it was the equivalent of at least one thousand Hiroshima bombs. Now you think about that. It's incomprehensible, destruction are we talking about. Well, this is what Dr. Collins found I write about it in detail in the book as a whole chapter on this because I want the world to know. Hate getting the Bible's folktales. We just discovered Sodom you think you could go that far, far back in the Bible you think probably go back more mythical it is. There is zero question that everything it says in early the early chapters of Genesis has been corroborated by scientists and stepmother not to say God is real, but they write about this in such detail that you think while this is you know a lot why did we even find the spot we found a spot because Dr. calls with Ludwig by the Scripture.

Why it even look there because he felt this is where the Bible says Sodom is in the dig and sure enough they find all the stuff that's on to say well yeah this is exactly what happened this with this kind of an event having a just get it so amazing that the world needs to know this.

Believers especially need to know that archaeologist continue to find stuff corroborating the Scripture.

It's crazy. I mean it's it's like this should be on the cover of the New York Times you know every other week and the scientific discovery should be on the cover of these newspapers are, but people of this sort of ceased coloring pro-God stuff they come back like Malley literary figure out if there's nothing to it and you know we can ignore it. Well I just said so much stuff is come across my purview. I said I I need to put this in the book, people won't believe it because most of the stuff it up and reported on it.

When I asked even Christians who know about the stuff alive and they haven't heard of some of the things I said, they're not there and I believe that what I write in here I don't quite mention it earlier Mike but one the most amazing that I discovered is that two of the most famous and dedicated atheists of the 20th century. Albert Camus at the end of Jean-Paul Sartre. These two existentialist atheists.

Both of them came to faith in God, right at the end of their lives independently 20 years apart.

Nobody seems to know this and and this is when I have to ask Lord, why did you give me this information. Like why do I get the privilege of telling people this is this is astonishing.

I mean this is you know it's like saying Hitler became a Christian, you know, but on his deathbed you be likely will limit what what what you say like that know I'm never that these are two people he dedicated their lives to writing books about a world without God and at the end of their lives. Each of them totaling apparently one in 1960 the other 1980 they came to faith in God and it seems to Christian faith.

I mean you have to read the details in the book, but I thought how come I've never heard this is the headline. This is big stuff is a lot kind of stuff and I I'm so excited about this. I want I should say I want people to preorder it to the doesn't come out October 19 and Tyler world yet. I've never heard of is enthusiastic about his book as he was on. I've never heard you know I never have been. Yet I never have been different.

God gave this to me. I can't take credit on like some kind of been researching this stuff for years. I just read enough science. I met a man named James tour you may know him. He's a messianic believer. He's in Houston at Rice University.

One of the greatest scientists alive on planet Earth. He's the one that woke me up to the one of the other scientific proof that because he knows more about that than anybody. Nobody ever asked where the life come from we argue about okay once his life. How did it evolve did God do it or what I can know (it happened but nobody ever asked trying to say excuse me.he says is this still working on that. Then figure that out… When everybody says they're still working on it. But this guy says no no no no no, they're not still working on it did dead in the water they been dead in the water for 70 years in, and he gives chapter and verse. So I I interviewed him for the book with one of us think that if you need proof of God out of the fact that for seven years scientists have been trying to tell us how life came into being. They don't have the beginning of a clue we cannot think like Wally sort of know they know absolutely nothing and and and Jim tore it was on my radio program yesterday will air at I think tomorrow he gives you details that they are afraid to even talk about it because it's humiliating that they know absolutely nothing. There's a lot of this kind of stuff in the book. I think when people read it there gonna be amazed and I think it's a great you know it's a great gift to somebody who isn't sure what they believe their uniquely effective essay. You know what I do know I will think of any evidence you sell yellow recovery.

We think about that. I think it's gonna blow people's minds. And I think that you know the Scripture about what when the enemy comes in like a flood Lord spirit will raise up a standard against them. I feel like work were living in a time like that right now where the enemy is coming like a flood.

Everywhere you look is chaos, confusion, wickedness.

I think the Lord has put this information in our hands and now that we didn't know years ago.

50 years ago, science can tell if this all the stuff is recent and I think it's to bolster believers to say that the evidence is going to get stronger and stronger. Things get darker the light of the Lord to get stronger and so I said you know what 50 years ago they said is God dead today we say is atheism that five years after that time magazine headline. The headline was Jesus revolution God said, yelling to fight back the same here friends the new book by Eric the taxes.
