The following program is recorded content created by the Truth Network.

If you can have only one book of the Bible to read for the rest your life, what book would be used for the line of fire with your host activist, author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution Michael Brown was the director of the coalition of conscience and president of fire school of ministry get into the line of fire valves like always 866-34-TRUTH 866-34-TRUTH euro. Jim is Dr. Michael Brown.

I phone lines are wide open.

866-34-TRUTH 866-34-TRUTH 87884.

What about you if you can only have one book of the Bible to read the rest your life could read any other book of the Bible you just had one that would be your book. Your your connection to the truth of God is revealed in Scripture for the rest of your life. Only one book of the Bible that you could read which book would be and why, 866-348-7884 I decided to do a little poll the other day on Facebook and Twitter and and Instagram asking this very question. I have an idea of where the answers might go you could give an educated guess as well and then I asked myself the same question and came up with I got top three that I would have to say if I can only have one book to read in the Bible for the rest of my life which would be what about you which book you will get one and that's the book for the rest your life that you read from the Bible. Can you call 86634.

Of course, tell me why in the New Testament in the five books of Moses the book that is quoted the most is Deuteronomy in the prophetic writings the book that's quoted the most is Isaiah in what would be called the, the writings in the threefold division and that the Hebrew Scriptures so that would reflect book like Psalms 6 office Proverbs and quite a few others. Psalms was the monk quoted most often. So it goes. Word three favorite books of the Bible terms of each of the three different sections as the record. Deuteronomy Isaiah Psalms now in the rabbinic literature in the centuries following is the same three that records the most from their respective parts of the Bible and the threefold division that is found in the Jewish canon of Scripture the same books we have as Christian Old Testament.

The different order of books different division and then the Dead Sea Scrolls. The same phenomenon.

Deuteronomy Isaiah Psalms of of the books of the Old Testament. So if you could pick any one book you only get this you don't get to read anything else from the Bible through the rest of your life which book would it be so. I get to calls and then say the results of the survey and then later in the show. I'll tell you my particular choice. We say this also I I listen to audiobooks a lot while driving in my car was a burden to pray about a particular thing or a phone call to make. I listen to audiobooks and on a regular basis and listening to the Bible on audio so some days if if my concentration level is not as intense. Maybe I just Connie to unwind a little bit on the longer driver. I might listen just to an enjoyable regional another book outside of the Bible and then if a more focus than I'll be taking in Scripture. So yesterday I was listening to listening to a best-selling nationally best-selling book on a very important theme and it's it's a pretty easy listen. There was a drain to listen to its artist listen to a thought to switch over to the Bible, not that here's the thing I was about to get the first Chronicles of the Old Testament and if you're familiar with first Chronicles.

The opening five chapters are just basic just genealogy them in the chapters after that it goes on quite a while before it gets into deeper narrative until tomorrow.

The life of David things like that so when you're reading just sitting reading you speed read through at least I do make a confession if it's repetitive, you know, just genealogy is a speed read through them or the list of you know they brought this offering on this day that is repeated the exact same thing. 10 or 12 times the speed read when you listening I like a skip over it right because I want to be reverent but I'm a solo maybe. Maybe I just read the speed read this later, but no no no. It's the word. Listen and immediately even those just genealogies. I felt the weight of it I felt the truth of it I felt the authority of a thought. This God's Word, the Bible is different. If you have one book would be little bit later in the broadcast one play the clip for you of a recent world record that was set than an amazing quote behind it and then a story behind the getting the quote yesterday but so let's start with responses to my question will go to Knightdale, North Carolina Sean, your first of any one book of the Bible which would be hurt. Maybe recover their light for like them out. Everything piggybacked all of her own a lot of baseball computing a lot of a piggyback off of Iago will help you like that a lot of women think about creation and did you think about starting a blog when the big bucket drop you like the fourth picture. I hate Sean, thank you for the response.

I appreciated and hates first call start with Genesis. Why not 866-34-TRUTH not let me look on my list here and see where Genesis came on one to 345-6789. So that's ninth and 66 books in the survey that we did. We didn't tabulate everybody's responses everywhere, but at a certain point we stopped in and got the so this be representative.

A good representative sampling again. I had I had my ideas in terms of of which I would pick a night and it ended up. I didn't allow the push to come to shove with me. II came up with my three that I would yet which Jean asked which which book has the most versus citizen acts, we don't mean in the New Testament in the New Testament it would be Luke the Bible is a whole, the most words are found in Jeremiah, then the correct Ezekiel is next. And then I think Psalms Isaiah Genesis sucks somewhere in that order. In terms of words, actual words. Jeremiah is the longest problems for versus 20 to 22 urged us not to let God's words out of our site, keep them stored deeply in our hearts and it says they are life to those who find them life to those who find them and I'm just Hal and I was gonna type a note to our call screener and tell them I don't need anymore info yet this way because he's really going to tell me yet which callers is what to say on what but with all the calls were getting just yeah just me the name and the place and will go from there make it simpler for me by this right gets more calls and is a call on hold in Utah anonymous caller.

Please stay right there because I really want to talk to today you called in with an important subject and I really do want to talk to about that today. All right, Joshua 18 Josh was told was he goes to take the land. Don't let this book of the teachings book of the law depart from his lips, but rather recited repeated meditate on it day and night was so that he can do what is written in it, and then his ways will succeed.

So here is going to take the land go to war right Moses said he's gonna lead the way and add what, what's the key get the word in your heart on your lips in your mind. Repeated recited the Hebrew word for meditators have often explained, is not just me into quietly think but is something being uttered. Is this is a way to this day that Jews knows what will memorize things by repeating the recited by speaking right so to sconce on your lips and lips… And then a new lips in your mind and your heart.

Why, so that you can do it so that you can act on it, then you'll be blessed. Then you will succeed because you be doing the will of God.

All right. Let's go over to Montréal, Canada Adam walking to the line of fire which are take a look around for having me on your sure I would pick one.

I probably go with the book of Annie I would agree with one of the previous caller who basically said that everything kind of piggyback about creation for that.

One of the reason then also court the Abraham a covenant that there and then the nation of Israel being born and another thing to do caught my attention along the book. The book of Isaiah when he says in Isaiah 40 when he says I'm the Lord who declares the end from the beginning blocks me when we look at Jennifer. Amazing how many parallels there are local to the end time with the Tower of Babel, even in Genesis 11 you know where we either nation coming together. He also court the same picture in Revelation as well. So I just think that if we were to pick one thing I think you can go wrong with hey Adam, thank you for the call and the exclamation I appreciated it. 6634 truths will get more calls him in a moment. There are so many encouragements within the word to be people of the work. Jesus tells us in John 15 seven that if we abide in him and his words abide in us that we ask what we will and will be done for us to say how could he say that will because when we abide in him and his words abide in us, then we are in harmony with God when I can be asking for carnal things when I can be asking for things outside of the will of God. Our prayers will be in harmony with the look of same. Psalm 13 that the godly man again meditates in the WordPress sites repeats it motors it utters it day and night takes his delight in it really sets his hand do to do succeeds white because is in harmony with God is like Psalm 37 for from a different angle. Delight yourself in the Lord will give you the desires of your heart. Here, these other verses are telling us for people, the word for in the word, we get the word in our heart or mind with them are in harmony with God and the things we do will be blessed cautiously urges us to let the word of Christ dwell in us richly to subthemes through the Scriptures and how does Jesus deal with Satan in the wilderness. Satan's temptation. What is he do he he rebukes them. He answers with three verses where from Deuteronomy and estimate as a new believer early in the Lord. This is one of the things God gave us great hunger for his word to read through the Bible cover to cover about five times the first couple of years in the Lord and then just memorize 20 verses a day. I give you grace to do that without fail for six straight months in Osage by the year so sure. Tommy memorize thousands of verses in that remains the foundation built on this day for cleansing by the Expo line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown your voice and more cultural and spiritual revolution.

Here again is Dr. Michael Brown as friends for joining us on the line of fire, 866-34-TRUTHs will take a couple more calls and then switch gears for a moment and I can come back and talk about results of the survey. What what you all said in terms of notches calls today, but responses, if you could have only one book of the Bible to redress your life which would be and then I'll share my own thoughts as we get to the end of let's go over to Sid in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Welcome to the line of fire which which book would you choose Brown sounds like I'm on speaker you're on speaker something that we tell everyone to do that.

How to better much better sir.

Okay go. There were very interesting thought when I heard zero coming on you. Like a cop. Then the regular person or cameraman with the book of John craft are contemplated or well I think I'm a federal group came up with normal settle down in the book of strong okay test 100 because you know our my background you you not been thrown very clearly. The company encouraging to talk about you know the covenant made the whole gamut in the so for zone reading for the rest of my life. I can pretty much committed book of Psalms: the holdout of the Holy Spirit, forgiveness, redemption marks.

My Lord is my shepherd, I think you know for the rest of my life that are to that's where our land at the book, many others felt the same way that was number three in our survey in the first three were much higher than the rest and obviously that was that the the Psalms were prayed in some by the early church. You have been through the century say thank you, thank you for the call. Let's go to Andrew and von Braun, Iowa. Welcome to light a fire with what book would you choose Atlanta easily on the book of Matthew. Okay, tell us what here on the electrical activity. Absolutely a numbers man. So everything you need. Witness failure is called even though you the thinner the quality like everything you went that bike. I got a believe everything out of his mouth is absolute truth and also I watched the show. The children by and at Lake Lodge and Matthew and that I read and reread the book of Matthew and you can't not read it or yeah agreement with my daughter and where were both doing it so interesting you got it so I was thought this was been high on the list but Matthews number eight Genesis is nine Matthew says discounting down is is you talking so this very interesting I thought would be higher. Matthew eyewitness so much of the teaching of Jesus included as well.

Hey, thank you for the call right switching gears from all of the units stay with the subject later in the show want to go to an anonymous caller in Utah. Thanks much for calling and how can I be of help today hi. Well, there's a problem. I do believe in God and I do believe that I do believe that not all patients cured him. I just don't feel that fire that I had before. I don't feel like conviction. I have before.

I wanted and I do believe in God and I love him but same time I'm I'm just kind of like in a dry spell II don't know what to do to my people tell me I just read the Bible all yeah but I just know I I'm just like a locking direction. I don't know what happened but I disconnect fell back. Yes thanks thanks for for being honest and for calling when you are at your best, most passionate, most convicted, most on fire. How you living then.

In short, what you what what it was or less to look like in terms of times with God or ministry or being in church look like I well I highly wanted to witness everybody I talked what you thought I was. I was in all you you can get me to shut up now I'm just kind of complacent.

I don't know what did it happen suddenly or is this something that's happened gradually. I think it happened and suddenly the graduate thing, and kind of like you know I Mexico had that hug but dammit it just kind of faded a little bit in her name or a lot right so what what changed you change your own lifestyle yeah I mean I (like I did before getting into the word look at it before and I know of it. I could tell myself all the answers right right now I'm trying I'm trying to help diagnose if we can get to this.

What did you did you change jobs or interests refocuses that somehow your schedule changed and now you had less time for God with the other things that that started to come first. I think your family and I don't know just in Corona probably know everybody deployment grown up now that that's on like changes which are not diagnosis.

Yeah and and I will and I don't blame it all and will monitor that thing you know we just kind of looked out of not going to church every Sunday and watch it on on on TV or on YouTube or whatever and then doing now and it is not just have little by little the became afraid right all right family issues this life itself is all kind of got it. Got it now. Look, there are times when something specific happens or there's a shift in our interest are we open the door to send and and you could more easily pinpoint the specific thing in your case that in the more general slide right what what is strongly in my head is Ephesians the second chapter sees me revelation the second chapter were Jesus speaking to the church in Ephesus, which was still Orthodox in its beliefs and it persevered and so on. But he says I have this against you left your first love is a something the Lord actually holds against moments. You just lose it you left it you you make choices you did things differently.

Then he says this. Remember the height from which you fallen so your you're doing that even by calling you're doing that and then assist do the things you did at first.

Or else because of those we just keep sliding further and further so what would you do it first. Would you have to do is force the issue, meaning even though I feel nothing. Even though my mind is a million different places. Even though my flesh doesn't want to do this. I am going to a minute get along room until my family. Hey, it'll do whatever you have to do family responsible his work responsibly, and then get a loan is a God. I have to have a brakes or if you spend an hour like you talking to the wall you take out the Bible and read it. So this feels dull, if you will take steps towards him. I know this is what others are telling you and I I ask you questions because I was, not just going to give you this answer was I wanted to see if there were other things are other reasons, but if you will do this and something I've had to do my life and force the issue.

Do what you know how to do take your baby human steps to God drawing near to God and he will draw near to you. Something will begin change.

You may suddenly become convicted of sin and realize this junk in your life you may be convicted of of other things and attitudes in your heart.

God may show you the neglect.

If you will take those steps so doing try to do so. I do not have more face. Don't worry about do it. You know how to do. I don't know how to take an interest. Don't worry about do it.

You know how to do as a believer you're under command.

You been bought with a price not your own. We give account to God. He's our Lord, and he calls us to seek him earnestly. He was 11, six is a rewarder of those diligently seek him. If you will do that on consistent basis. If I remember the time when I realized as I was get my PhD and was theologically crowded and had even I was an active Christian in many ways, and committed. I left my first love as a woman you do like fast, pray get all excited get on fire for couple days and if go right back to my wife's you hardly praying for the meeting with God, and the quality way so thought okay if I didn't pray all one day on the pray five minutes if if I read the word and pray 15 minutes one day to make a 25 I just I'm going to turn little by little in the right direction every day, every day, every day and before I knew it the five guys fell in my life I was transformed and I've been changed ever since and that was was 1982.

So, if you will do that. Take your baby steps force the issue to which you know how to do. You could pick up the phone and call me so the same way you say God is real and are you there but I'm dull.

I don't have any desire to share my faith.

I feel spiritually lazy.

Just be honest take those steps, he will honor that. And then as soon as you can get back with your family back in church back and fellowship on the with the restrictions are, but as soon as you can do that do that get out of the old habits. Do what you did for us to take a look. Revelation chapter 2 insisted the first 89 verses there read that and I believe it's a direct word that a minister to you and what I want to do is is this run and discuss it. Go back and forth how I want to urge you to take the doctors prescription okay implement this and you'll see change, if not within days. Within weeks just to change father you know exactly who this is the scholarly synonymous to me but known to bring them back not just all the way but with a greater fire, passion, devotion, hunger or thirst desire is ever had before touches all family teased him and thank you for calling the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the line of fire down by calling 86.

Here again is Dr. Michael Brown.

Here is the question of the day if you can only have one book of the Bible to read for the rest of your life. That's it. Never get to read another book of the Bible you could only read one. What book would be and why, 866-34-TRUTH is that of the call 86634878842 way in with your thoughts on minute share with you in a moment. The results of the survey that we did with several hundred responses just to get an idea of what you were thinking online and normally once you get several hundred representative on a few different social media sites if if it goes to several thousand. It's it's pretty much repeating similar things, and in other words, you get good cross sampling.

If you do enough early on, so I think this is no of of of value to let you know what people are thinking but will take calls as well and at the end of the show. I'll tell you what I came up with and just said at the top three but the one into were the stronger than three but but I got my one so anyway will assure that assure that with okay first, there is. There was a recent world record set in the 400 m hurdles.

Women's will break in the Olympic trials. I will follow track and field closely at all and then some of the Olympics. Watch you know every four years or eight years. Things will postpone with with the COBIT Japan from last year so sometimes a watchman really just if there's a record set, so now I'll catch it afterwards so I wasn't aware of of all the world records, etc. but I saw this so this is the day I was doing some research on YouTube and then get all these things pop up on the sides of the 00 record. I watched it so I was curious when I see someone set a record some amazing accomplishment always wonder who are they and other believers and and what's going at what kind of people are they and how to get where they are just questions, because it's tremendous effort. You know a tremendous effort, dedication to get to that place so this was the race as it was called. Let's listen for those watching. Let's watch the world record is now doing common bias for.

You can see her shock setting that you will record it looks was quite amazing. Most inspiring to see the incredible run stride almost effortless with massive effort in the process. Okay so what I play that for you. Why I'd seen the world records on YouTube and then click just to finally drop more about Sydney who set the record within went on to other things.

That was it. Well I was on my knees praying yesterday, something that that is often seen in my life of just seeking God because being in ministry, and being burdened to to want to touch people's lives and being burden to see the work that we do touch more more people so they were often praying about Lord made these messages get out and have an impact Lord, because the shows to get out have an impact Lord, because these books to get out have an impact so the Jesus can be exalted so lies can be canceled. I'm constantly burdened and praying for the things that we do for workers on the field for team to to to see the success of God's work through us and he was reminding me yet again in prayer and I was meditating on passages like Matthew 633 seek first the kingdom of God's righteousness and all these things will be added to you or Colossians 2 were in him in Jesus are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge and I will send Lauren everything I need is found in you. Everything our ministry needs found in you and I'm staring that not just for me but for you, whoever you are, whatever circumstance of life and if your believer everything is found in God you send the door so he can open those doors. I need relationships form he can bring you into this right relationships.

I need funding.

He can he can fund whatever is needed. I need favor.

I need ability I need to know what you everything we need is found in him, so if we seek him earnestly. Everything else falls into place so I just finished praying about these things and got a note email for my assistant, Dylan who would seen a quote from Sigma got there we had talked about the world record, I'm just not a conversation would be having hate to hear about the latest of the gold record or trust will record so he did know that I actually follow this a little bit but sent me this quote from Sigma Arkansas want to read the student. She said my faith was being tested all week. She's believer and another from bad practices to three false start delays to meet delay, I just kept hearing God say just focus on me think of that she's about to run one of the most important races in her life and God's telling her just focus on me.

She said it was the best race plan. I could've ever assembled. I no longer run for self recognition but to reflect his perfect will is a recent stone.

I don't deserve anything by grace through faith. Jesus has given me any everything records come and go. Glory of God is eternal. Thank you father those those powerful words are they not. Those are words that that is if you support you seen, moved by that race. What was a cousin cousin" behind it. I knew the code behind it and was fascinating is the. The color commentator Sue got the main commentator than the other one adding in background things right before the race. He said I think Susan McLaughlin can run down the other world champion and because I will record today of course that's exactly what happened and how it happened but here is what she saying records come and go. What matters is the eternal glory of God.

And the key that God spoke to her not to focus on the race not to focus on winning not to see yourself sitting world record but just focus on me.

This is a word from God for for so many of us today is just focus on me. That's what the Lord is saying. Set a cop out.

It's the ultimate act of responsibility out of which everything else gets it in perspective and out of which everything else flows all right back to the phones we go to Elizabeth that we don't let's go to Chris in Salt Lake City, Utah, which book of the Bible would you pick and why) I said Chris if you are Chris in Salt Lake City then you are the man.

After optical rate. All right tell me why good news. I left work they I came back and I feel like all so dealing with false teaching false religion and spiritual bondage.

In Galatians is a book of liberty that would be an end warning against deception correct model.

I am caught but we under fire.

So, I guess. Galatians 1. If we are an angel from heaven preached any other gospel right does have some relevance there ha, yeah. And yet it repeat but the import got it so Chris stand strong stand strong in the liberty, freedom that you have in Jesus mate may be a light and a beacon to the rest your family. So it's like our survey and see where you Galatians is going to be down the last with this, see here my survey were looking for love you in a moment, but Galatians yeah only one other picked Galatians and that was yeah that's okay will put the list of four will put the list of so here. Here is the number one book. Then when you still call him with your take 866-34-TRUTH 7884 and tell us why the number one was the gospel of John. Number two, so those watching in parentheses is the number of votes that the color survey number two is Romans interested number three Psalms number four Revelation. I would say that that would be the biggest surprise to me that that was so high up on the list with all the mystery of Revelation in the visionary apocalyptic nature of it that's fascinating. Revelation maybe people just sensing a special end time application or the like. Ephesians so very interesting that out of the top five books to read by Paul then Proverbs next to the top six to Old Testament Psalms with the prayers and the cries of of the nation and the individual Proverbs with wisdom for living. The next Isaiah's of course.

Isaiah being maybe the best known of the Old Testament prophets enriching messianic prophecy as well. Then Matthew thought Matthew would be a little higher on the list. Matthew and Genesis were tied so it when I gave stats about which was one heavy election Matthew and Genesis tied in Hebrews James Jacobs would like to remind folks Luke acts.

Job, Ecclesiastes, Esther, John, Daniel, Exodus, then song of Solomon. The Amaya Deuteronomy, Ruth, Ezekiel, Colossians, Leviticus, they all got couple of votes and then these just got one numbers third John Sir John there some joking just not to drink with the Bible but this is a short book is that the one you have.

Hosea Galatians Judges Titus Philippians 1st Timothy second Timothy Marshall a bunch of the surprised me and Mark being so low, surprises me. Those are the results of the survey to get. Let's look at the top.

Once John number one got 86 votes.

Roman 65 Psalms 57 Revelation 24 Ephesians 23 Proverbs 21 Isaiah 18, Matthew 16, Genesis 16 Hebrews 1210 to 11, Luke 10, and all the others were eight votes or less.

So we make of that.

Why certain books and one of my favorite three in the top one that you still call still takes more calls give your views, 866-3487 84 it's the line of fire with your host activist, author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown voice of more cultural and spiritual revolution get into the light of ironbound by calling 6643 here again is Dr. Michael Brown thanks friends for joining us on the line of fire. One thing you find with the word of God in prayer is that the more time you spend with God. The quality way in the word and prayer. The more you want to spend time with the more the word comes alive to the more you hunger for that. The more your prayer times are rich and the less time you spend in prayer quality prayer and the word the less time you want to know this is true for lots of other things as well but all the more we become of the living God and in his work. All the more.

Is it true that we focus and meet with him and and dig into his word and let God speak to us through it and then really seek his face in prayer and open our hearts to him and commune with him it's it's a holy addiction. It's a desire that grows and that brings great great life so I asked myself if I can only have one book of the Bible to read the rest of my life. Which book would be now. I love the book of Job, spent years and years and years and years studying Job is making a wrote a commentary on Job to get our website or the online book dealers.

Job the faith challenge got a new translation and commentary.

It is as amazing as that book is I wouldn't choose that as the one and only book I would have for this malaise. Now I I quote people quickly make that statement in the beginning my commentary that there's no book like Job, and that if there's any one book I have in all of literature to read. It would be the book of Job flows usage. All this extorts extraordinarily rich book incredibly rich, overcoming turn Jeremias. I love the book of Jeremiah, but is much as I love the book of Jeremiah. I would not pick that is the one and only book I could read for the rest of my life there is that it is so overwhelmingly full of dark judgments on silly people of Israel and Judah. And yes, there is hope and restoration in it, but I would not make that the one book that I have for the rest my life. I'm currently writing a commentary and Isaiah and should have well everything goes well since years of work to do it at the pace of doing it in the depth than seeking to do it. Of its it's an amazing book.

There is so much lofty truth in it is Isaiah's encounter with God. Any there the soaring of the rich prophecies and declarations of the uniqueness of the one God, the only God, the God of Israel and then their extraordinary messianic prophecies in a sense, the gospel preached more clearly in terms of Jesus dying for sins anywhere in the Bible there is Isaiah 53 so Isaiah made it to my top three list that if if I could pick any one book then that would be in my top three.

For those reasons and yes it has judgment in an and yes there is there some obscure sayings and things like that but so much that's points us to the one and only God so much that draws us into God's holiness and so much about the Messiah, but ultimately I wanted something that that would have a lot of the teaching of Jesus as well just the accounts of his life with his his own words as well. I know he speaks to the whole Bible, but his words when he was here on earth, so Luke is amazing in terms of the scope of what he covers and the.

The stories that he tells that that other customers don't tell how it's put together this incredible gospel. Mark shorter obviously an and so so emphasizing the doing of Jesus, along with his teaching. I thought no dear John and Matthew for me and John was the revelation of the eternal Word made flesh, and lengthy sections like the teaching of Jesus in John 1314 1516 his high priestly prayer in 17 just don't have anywhere else which you can feast on meditate on. Rest your life.

So John was rural right there and when I started reading the Bible and just reading in a random passages that I was clearly reading for the book of Revelation in business from Daniel because we were drug users that stuff interested us to be honest with you all. The end time prophecy and stuff like wow cool this in the Bible we get high and talk about then. Now I'm saying I believe are starting to read cycle Request passages that are the parts the Bible to read as well and I remember someone suggesting well. She started John and Eric. It was a man sent from God and Jonathan's John wrote the book it. I was that nude started reading figure it all out so you have the riches you're confronted with right out the gate, but ultimately ultimately I put Matthew first if if I only have one now again in our list here. John was one by pretty substantial margin.

The enrollments that I did think about Romans a little is Romans has it all in terms of our faith, the foundations of one God and the rejection of God and universality of sin, justification by faith alone. Life in the spirit overcoming sin. God's eternal purpose is for Israel and the practical application that is Romans has all one godly pastor that I used to talk to his new believer manages deeply deeply respected as a man of God.

He said he only had one chapter about Romans eight Romans eight has everything. This is the key.

Romans eight that's what it what a chap. What an indescribably glorious chapter in the midst of indescribably glorious letter written by divine inspiration through Paul so give Romans credible and obviously many said Psalms that was next in so much you pray this solves the crowd to the solvency of comfort through the Psalms and messianic prophecy in the Psalms. Well, but ultimately Matthew made it to the top just a little bit about John than above. Isaiah why well, you've got the connection with the Old Testament there right it's all connected to fulfill was written. So even though it might be my theoretical world.

He was just one book. It's presupposing everything that came before Costley according going back to so I got my link there is presented Jesus as the Messiah of Israel forgot that link.

We've got his life and his miracles and his death and his resurrection, and then we got the sermon on the Mount and other extended passages like Matthew Tam, etc. of his teaching. So that is why I made the decision out. Now here's the reality. We don't have to decide we have the Bible, we have the whole Bible. I was given a copy of my book go and sin no more. That was used in Vietnam and it had multiple bookmarks and it you know you just put the ribbon and Aaron insert multiple why because people would all be sharing the same book, so here than when you put your mark there is some else was their mark there because they did have access to the Christian books.

And yes, it's true in times past, it may still happen in certain parts of the world batons passing communist China where Bible would be received the they group of Christians would get together and they would each carry out one page and that that's what they would read and study and then they pass pages.

Obviously, you have to get the best understanding of things because random it's out of order, but this literally happened and just think, if if if if something was found from the book you know and and and ancient snippet of the teaching of Jesus's house and we believe he really said these words was imparted by we would believe he said these were thick clouds miss what you have. You have the treasure of the work we have.

There are different read them, read me here I am knocking at your door or every day. Here's a verse to meditate on this and the memorize it. We have so much more access and yet we are among the most biblically illiterate generations in American history. To the extent that were literate were illiterate, biblically and and and it's it's a crying shame I'm writing in 1991 that the more we start the word store the word of our hard drives, the less we store in our hearts. So let's get back to the word this be people who work this be people who devour the worth and who were doers, not just here is not just theological studies of intellectual flexion, but doers found were drinking in the work, taken the riches the treasures and then living it out and sharing it with others.

But let this be people who did the heart get in our mind. Some can memorize better than others of this new visual scene writing just do what you can to take in the world when I was memorizing 20 versus day at work as a system myself, this is really the word constantly. I okay this first is jumps out of the memorize that and it's got one to multiple and 20 versus David without missing a day did the least six months with the word the two hours every day. Pray at least three hours a day was just discipline. During a relatively free time of schedule. Life, but I would like to keep looking at the verse until I could write it out once perfectly, then I would say it seven times perfectly, then I would write it once again perfectly and gone to the next and I could do. Basically verse every three minutes of 20 versus an hour those verses. I caught many of them to. To this day.

In the King James have memorized the word in your heart, get the word in your mind person of the word.
