We take our focus off the elections for a moment and ask what's God's best way to transform America stock for the line of fire with your host activist all the international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution Michael Brown is the director of the coalition of conscience and president of fire school of ministry get into the line of fire valves like always 866-34-TRUTH that's 866-34-TRUTH. Your job is Dr. Michael Brown heart rate your hand if America change okay. Who among us does not want to see marketing. Who among us cannot give a list of things that are wrong with our country that we want to see improved change for the better, regardless of where you are. The political perspective, ideological perspective, there are things you see that are wrong. You want to see the improved be better. You want to see a better America for everyone. Ultimately that's what people of goodwill want. Has it happened. How can America really be transformed welcome friends to the line of fire. This is Michael Brown delighted to be with you here somebody call 866-34-TRUTH 866-34-TRUTH 87884 if you'd like to weigh in. Or if you'd like to challenge me or get clarity on a particular point, 866-348-7884.

Always so much going on in the world around us always so much to unpack, but I want to be as practical as I possibly can.

And I want to try to bring further clarity to the idea of quote Christian nationalism that depending on here how you share those words they can be a positive or negative. For example, you could say nationalism is good and healthy want to see your nation strong believing in the positive qualities of your nation seeking to have a nation with with borders and laws that are for the good of the country but that ultimately help all humanity. Well wonderful that's good. I was watching a collie giving a presentation online the other day and he said look, Nazi-ism had an unhealthy aspect of nationalism. It was the wrong type.

It was destructive, but a patriotic spirit in America. Patriotic spirit in Great Britain that helped defeat Nazi-ism so it in and point of fact, in point of fact, nationalism in the right sense is good and healthy.

If you're Christian you live in America and should be a Christian nationalist will in that sense it's positive since I've understood the term the sense I normally see it used its emerging national and spiritual identities. It's making America into God's nation. It it it is it wrapping the gospel in the American flag is looking at America as the kingdom of God rather than looking at America as another human kingdom, and the believers within America part of the kingdom of God.

And that's where the danger can lie that I find it very interesting that people reacted to Beth Moore's tweet about Christian nationalism and trumpet-ism. I agreed with the substance of the preplanning father ministry will never, never listen to every molecular read her ever in my life.

Just haven't done it so I know people said she's gotten more liberal or she's more quote woke etc. but I agreed with her warning against Christian nationalism and co-trumpet-ism and a colleague of mine we are step for step part for revival heart for the gospel Hartford biblical purity. He put the video basically rebuking the comment about we talk we really were really in harmony.

Overall, but we each have a different perception a different take on what was being said. So it's important that we define terms if trumpet-ism to you means. I voted for him. I support his policies. I believe that is help bring reformation to the Republican Party find great that that would be a lot of my position if trumpet is the means that you're looking to miss some type of political Messiah then be dangerous. And that's the thing that I have spoken out against so how do we make practical headway. How do we take positive steps to transform America. We bring you back to Ronald Reagan's's final speech as he's about to leave the White House after eight years serving any goes back to an early Puritan vision about America being a city on a hill. Listen to what Reagan said, we have it. And that's about all I have the same except for one thing, fasting dreams when I've been in that window upstairs.

I thought a bit of the shining city upon a hill phrase comes from John Winthrop who wrote it to describe the America he imagined what he imagined was important because he was an early pilgrim and early freedom man who journeyed here on what today we call a little wooden boat and like the other pilgrims he was looking for a home that would be free. I've spoken with the shining city on my critical life, but I don't know if I ever quite communicated what I saw when I said in my mind it was a tall and proud city built on rock stronger than ocean windswept God blessed and teeming with people of all kinds living in harmony and peace, a city with pre-reports that hung with commerce and creativity and if there had to be city walls.

The walls had doors and the doors were open to anyone with the will and the heart to get that's how I saw it, see it still and how stands the city on this winter night, more prosperous, more secure and happier than I was eight years ago Morton 200 years. Two centuries she still stand strong and her clothes have spent no matter what, and she still of the Stille Mac for all wrong from all the lost places for the week done on this. I will call for the city final men and women across America for my friends who were just marking time soon stronger city and so by rushing God United States so seeing the Cliff hearing. The clip reminds me of what an amazing communicator. Ronald Reagan was really incredible and certain sense of stability and strength that he brought and how proud we were of him when he said Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall. The Berlin wall and in tremendous courage to do these kinds of things and much good happened during his eight years as president on the flipside, we were aborting about 1,000,000 1/2 babies all the years he was president.

Didn't the abortion rate even go up. Ultimately, despite all the good pro-life work that he did.

There were still plenty of other issues since problems within America, many of which we were exporting around the world. In other words, America is a nation without a city set on a hill positive in many ways, but that the vision of some of the original Puritans was was very much theocratic mother would cease to be Christian colonies with Christian values, enforced in some colonies there were penalties for not attending church height.

I do not want to see a government requires religious practice or anything like that when Jesus returns when he sets up his kingdom there will have a theocracy. Until then, I want any part of one so as well-intentioned as the as the Christian leaders may have been the pilgrims and others that in reality, especially as a nation becomes more diverse.

You cannot have a theocracy without bringing great harm to slip what happens in countries like Iraq, of course, it's Islam versus Christianity understand but is it to to say there were a city set on a hill. There is a real real mixture. There is a real real good side to America mix.

I and bad side. That's just the way it is with hundreds of millions of people now Ronald Reagan also this is a very short clip of the famous clip from Reagan about being a nation under God and its subtly true and right in terms of what he said said this without God. Democracy will not and cannot long endure. Yeah the famous life. We forget that were one nation under God or nation under God.

That will be a nation gone under. Yet every nation, ultimately, to the extent it is God-fearing and looks to him. Proverbs 1430 for universal principle righteousness exalts a nation sin is a reproach to any people asking to be a reality. But the idea that Americo was a completely Christian nation at any point in history or that America can be equated directly with the gospel. That's big mistake not only read something to you from Gen. Michael Flynn just pardon Gen. Michael Flynn. It's published in the Western Journal, which is this extremely conservative outlet. He said that the headline when a battle of good versus evil. It's time for God-fearing Americans to fight this. Is this the battle were engaged, and cannot be fought with only human weapons requires the intervention of God because of the war against the forces of evil. Only the Lord can obtain the victory as American citizens we must refuse to go to the funeral of our own independence.

We the people are proud to proclaim the United States of America's one nation under God in this public profession of faith we recognize his Lordship over a country we probably stand beneath the banner of Christ and our flag in which millions of sacrifice the very laws for in Scripture, though the strength and commitment of Matthew, the Lord said through the strength and commitment. Abbasid Lord said whoever is not with me not against me now.

He goes on to let the tyrant's will to rule us and steal the election from us. And so, almost due criticism out of those who do not submit unconditionally to the dictatorship of the court. New World order, but the notice again.

He says is one nation under God.

We recognize his Lordship over a country we probably stand beneath the banner of Christ and our flag in which millions have sacrificed the very last for that to me is unhealthy Christian nationalism that to me is equating our flag the banner of Christ. That's the very thing that is dangerous and that I don't agree with.

Of course if you talk to her black American friends and our Native American friends there scratching their heads saying and you think we been under the banner of Christ, our entire history, living as a Christian nation in the city set on a hill really friends, let us, the believers church the people God let must be the ones responsible for bringing about change to the nation as a whole rather looking for. It happened to happen from the top down the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the line of fire now by calling 866. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown. I am about places on very edifying clips share some very encouraging stories about transformation. But here's the short version. If your changed people around you will be changed. Not all but many if you're transformed people around you will be transformed. Not all but many, and often is the gospel goes to new areas.

One individual comes to faith.

Next thing the rest of their family comes to faith than the next thing a bunch of their friends come to faith and coworkers come to faith. I'm thinking it. Some of us when we got born again that the first year or two we litter the family members to the Lord. We letter the friends to the Lord. Be sure the gospel widely people saw the change in our lives is what what happened to you. I remember there was a young man visiting us from Israel and he was raised in the faith, but was spiritually up and down and up and down and up and down for many years and he was visiting us in Pensacola during the Brownsville revival and he went to a convenience store and he this is when he was, not doing well and he was either he was struggling in an you could see it in his eyes he just was not in a good place when he when he got down he got down and he was up.

He was up and he went to convenience store and I forget what he was getting, but he was who he was.

Couple days later he walked in there. After encountering God of the revival and he walked in and the gal behind the counter said what happened to you as he was a tall guy, striking so she remembered them from a few days earlier that he came in he looked. He just looked different to the people around you people know you people work with you live with you when there's real transformation, something happens. Some will reject you because of it, but others themselves will be changed. It happens when we come to faith in the first place. It happens when we get born again in the first place and and it happens. Also, when we are changed as believers we get revived in the fire falls in our lives so I want to share some things with you on the first will go to the phones will start in Jackson Mississippi Jonathan walking to the line of fire alarm. Dr. Brown shalom yeah on the topic I've actually got a direct line to the Mayflower.

People of my great grandfather John all and operate the Mayflower compact in history was migrated. Subject didn't screw and I know the Judeo-Christian Valley value country was founded on. But you know there is no political solution we are facing. There's only 1/3 great awakening is going to solve our problem and you know there's a line in Bob Dylan thong patriotism is the last refuge to which a scandal clean and I consider myself a major patriot, but many of us Christian think that our country is somehow better than the rest of the country in the world that God let the or whatever and that not true. We lived in a kingdom not a country are collegiate Jesus Christ, not the American government.

Jonathan it if we say things to it like this, that our first allegiance is to the Lord and into the cross, not to the American government then immersing it right the wheat. We do have an allegiance to a country and you said your patriot and were told to give honor where honor is due and to submit to authorities and pay taxes, etc. but our highest allegiance or ultimate allegiance of courses to the Lord and and what our country tells us to go on a different direction than the gospel we say with all respect. We have to obey God, but that the other point you make sandwiches is so important as a big world out there and when you look at the population of America in comparison to the population of India were less than one third the size of India terms of population less than one third the size of China population. If you look at Indonesia Indonesian is maybe two thirds as big as we are most Americans wouldn't think of a country like that of the point is, it's a big world out there, and Jesus die for that whole world and I believe the fate of America is important because we do have a lot of influence and they were incredibly influential and have done much good in the world in old World War I and World War II in different things we've done and help the world with breakthroughs and discoveries in humanitarian aid, but it's real Max is I've been out of the country. About 200 times been to many nations. I see a lot of bad that we've explored it in wrong things we've done so with it and when you go to other nations you get God's heart for the other nations as well. So yeah we America's important because it's 330 million people.

America's important because God used America in many positive ways.

America's important is this tremendous influence, but America is just one nation on planet is one of the best things we can do is is go overseas going missions trip to another country and serve their get a heart for the rest of the world and then puts things here in perspective. So thank you sir and glad to speak to a descendent of one of the original pilgrims right so the other night I was looking for some documents.

My computer and going through some random files that I spotted correspondence I had with a large church in England. Some of their leaders had visited the Brownsville revival in the late 90s and is simply a series of follow-up questions so I was responding to their questions and I I came across a testimony that I completely forgot about and I mean their endless such testimonies is so much happened I'm when I got there and got going be part of the leadership team and in the mid 96 and we talked about. Yeah, maybe I could chronicle what's going on and keep track of testimonies and that I probably ended after about a week like right I give you that. You know, here, here comes a flood.

It was tsunami of blessing and testimony in glory and you chronicle a good get all the notes in the details of what hat it was a staggering and I don't leave the true story will be told until eternity went out how lives were touched and what the ripple effect was of these laws being touched, but was not rejoicing a lot of celebration of a lot of joy and incredible spirit of joy because Jesus was setting people free and Greene County let loose of your feel of some of the joy of the worship took place. The Browns were while it's listless and to take a little segment out of one of the services, so little celebration singing worship great joy that was in the place, but the great joy followed on the heels of the preaching of repentance that the great joy the great joy followed on the heels of people getting right with God. It wasn't just ha ha happy happy happy.

In fact, that Steve Hill evangelist preaching every night the Browns were valid for years to address this head-on and littlest a snippet of the messages is about to give an altar call.

Listen to what he had to say about the superficial gospel message revival is more out there that love gospel is all gone out there get everything wrong.

I got a letter today from a lady whose husband is a leader in the local church leading the church. She said she can't stand it anymore. She said we can all anyone is hard core pornography Jesus… Nobody leading the charge
