Dig into the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures today on the line of fire. It's time for the line of fire with your host activist and author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution Michael Brown is the director of the coalition of conscience and president of fire school of ministry get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH. That's 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown Francis Michael Brown lighted with you. Great to spend this hour together taking to the word of God of you know we we often take questions on the air. We get calls from all points of view. We talk about politics, culture, Bible theology, you name it that every so often we just into the Scriptures we don't even think about what's happening in the world. The news around us. In this regard, you they are not taking your calls but I solicited these questions few days back I just asked to give me your best Hebrew or Greek questions or questions about a specific verse in the Bible and we will dig into the word together and will open up the Scriptures so that's what we'll do. And I'm gonna see if I can go a little more quickly and someone answers those that need to be more in depth will get into more in depth, but if I give you a shorter answer and cover more the questions that a been submitted.

I solicited these on our Facebook page and on Twitter sets Esther to wrap your thoughts on Facebook. Please do post day and night to edify bluster, encourage, strengthen links to all of our recent articles, videos, radio shows, so that's a SK DR Brown on Facebook than Twitter is at DR Michael L. Brown victory up to Al's in the middle. Michael L Dr. DR Michael L. Brown that's or twitter handle okay let's go to Facebook and will start with this question from Dave Genesis 1133 in the beginning God created can or should the word created be translated fill like May fat.

No, absolutely not 100% no completely separate route.

Barat means to create is unrelated to a route having to do with fatness or anything like that so absolutely, categorically no doesn't mean fill the mean make fat. It means create so that's an easy one.

Okay David Lee asked explain first Corinthians 1437.

Explain first Corinthians 1437. Again, this one I give you pretty quick answer to as well. Paul writing to the Corinthians, setting things in order dealing with things that need to be corrected, some moral, some theological, some practical, he says in verse 3714 if anyone thinks that he is a prophet or spiritual. You should acknowledge the things I'm writing to her command of the Lord. So he's dealing with issues of dispute in the congregations different perspectives on different things and the Corinthians were flourishing thriving in the gifts he commends up for that in first Corinthians the first chapter, but there were abuses, or there were things that were practiced out of order. In particular, tongues, and what he saying is take I'm giving you what I'm teaching you is what the Lord has shown me that you're so spiritual then you recognize if you're really a prophet nor recognize that what I'm speaking is from the Lord is opposable pulse try to mess up or follow Paul's not spiritual or if your spiritual if your profit then you should know what I'm saying is from the Lord, because you should be sensitive enough to his voice, his truth that you should absolutely affirm and say yes and amen Paul was speaking for the Lord and it's the same thing when it comes to Scripture if you're so spiritual.

If you're so Jesus loving. If you're so full of the spirit, if you're so sensitive to the voice of God in you better, but you better believe that everything you do must be in harmony with Scripture that what you teach and preach must be in harmony with Scripture that that that the whole testimony of the word is going a certain direction and if you are walking in the spirit and you will be going in that same direction right back to our Facebook questions.

This from Lou bigger Zechariah chapter 12 verse 10 of the Baker did not give the details of what exactly he was wondering about but I'll break down a few of the key issues in Zechariah chapter 12 verse 10 now we are very familiar with the Christian translation that commonly says the look to me whom they pierced. In the morning for him. It's interesting why look for example in the room skews me the new Jewish publication Society translation says this but I'll fill the house of David, the inhabitants of Jerusalem of the spirit of pity and compassion and they shall lament to me about those who are slain whaling over them is over favorite son and showing bitter grief is over eight firstborn so the first thing they shall lament to me, is clearly not with the resend the entry PS is trying to interpret differently and well there something else going on there. We can understand a certain way, but the question is are you looking to the one that you pierced or are you looking to the one that others peers are you looking to him because of those who were pierced. There are traditional rabbis that will say this is misinterpreted and Christian Bibles.

It should not say they shall look to me whom they pierced but they should look to me on account of those who were pierced, namely, in war, that's what is lamentation and the Moran or those people. The problem is the most natural grammatical reading doesn't say that you got in the plural. They will look they pierced. They will more right so it will more and they will lament. See, have they they they all third person plural sober HEB to the look to me.Karo they pierced soft do Bill Moran so the most natural way of reading.

It is that the ones who are looking are the ones who pierced and the ones who will mourn. Now the question is will he be to a lie and they will look to me a share.

It's a sugar car.

They will look to me whom they pierced. There are those who argue that that the Hebrew there at a share does not identify the one being pierced but again to me that is the most natural way of reading civil look to me only pierces us in a pierced God with either saying that God in his identification with his son was pierced there, rejecting the sun. They rejected the father and piercing the Sunday pierced the father or with some manuscripts but it's minority reading for HEB to a live and they will look to him whom they pierced and mourn for him. That's what we see as we go on the verse, but the interpretation that sees this is messianic that sees us is the end of the age.

The Jewish people turning to the Lord because of the one they had pierced I believe is the best and soundest rendition of the Hebrews just turning in the taking calls don't post questions now solicit these a few days before man I wish and hate the phone lines open through the rest of the week and if you follow us on Facebook or twitter.

We do post questions like this you can get in with your questions. All right, let's see here. Okay Greek name here Cifelli what is the best rendering of Psalm 51 five from Hebrew into English.

Psalm 51 five from Hebrew to English so let's take a look at Psalm 51 five and here we go. Okay Keisha I and the Seesmic EPC on the a.T negative.

Tommy for I acknowledge my transgression. I know what meaning I acknowledge it, and in my sin is ever before me.

Now I just want to check one thing you may be asking about a different verse actually because in the Hebrew.

The numbering is different than in the yeah, you're probably asking about this.

Probably as many different verse, so let me let me look at this.

Probably in your English Bibles you're looking at verse seven. In the Hebrew and of volatile lofty so I was conceived in iniquity of us hate you might meet me and in sin. My brother, my mother brought me forth so the entry PS IND. Indeed, I was born with iniquity and with sin. My mother conceived me. Does that mean that David is saying. I was born sexual morality is he saying that my mother had me out of wedlock. This is my history. I'm a sinner. I committed adultery with Bathsheba. This is part of who I am and valve on quality.

Indeed, I was born with iniquity were conceived within the group, overtake your homogeny in me, and with sin my mother conceived me or brought me forward for the fourth of no I don't believe it's talking about David being conceived out of wedlock. We have no Scripture that points to that in any way and being illegitimate OPB say I was born in the legitimacy and I'm a sinner now really saying my very nature even even at conception was sinful, was tainted that this is a verse that rightly describes the fallen state of human beings that even at our conception, we are tainted that we are created an image of God and hence the lofty desires and goals. We can have the, the honoring of what is right, the hating of what is wrong.

The sense of purpose and destiny. So many things that that are in us were being created in the image of God. The ability to understand morality and make moral choices and yet we are all fallen from birth from conception so that we are we are born to sin. Naturally, it is who we are, you can raise a child in a perfect environment like Adam and Eve right and that child output in that perfect environment after the fall will inevitably sent it's just the way to some of tried to read it differently to say will know it it's it's going to David being born sexual morality one. There's nothing else in the Bible, it corroborates that are even hints at that to is no reason to read it like that because this is a description of human nature. We are born with a sinful nature because the fall just like were born and physically will die for it.

From the moment you were born you are physically heading towards your day of death. Right that the human body. Even in a perfect environment is is gonna break down a certain point and people will physically die. It's the same. Spiritually it's just part of our nature, which is why we need a Redeemer which is why we can't save ourselves, which is why we can scrub and scrub and scrub and cry out and cry out and cry out and ask for mercy, mercy, mercy without God giving us a new heart that will always be our dominant nature to send rebels disobey and it will take going into the eternal age with resurrected bodies in an environment with no sin, the devil in the world for us to live in holy perfection without sin forever right we will get back to your questions. Be sure to check out my latest articles Mr. Brown for videos posted there. Look at my emails sent us a really important stuff edifying stuff, special offers, things like that website. Esther Brown.org 30 seconds got the email form there and you get a free error on the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown.

Your voice is more cultural and spiritual revolution there again is Dr. Michael Brown and friends welcome back to the line of firewood digging into the Hebrew Scriptures. I asked actually over the weekend if you got a specific question, but Hebrew about Greek about a specific verse posted I get to as many as I can on Facebook twitter so we got scores and scores and scores responses. I wish I had time to answer everyone but will do our best to get through as many as we can make sure we answer adequately and then move on.

All right, so a Nelson crystal asked this from Facebook and John 1930 read the word to tell us die in the Greek manuscript understand that one Hebrew translation uses the root color law, which is to finish in terms of what to exhaust something to finish at another of uses the word niche mom. It's really rich alarms that would mean it is completed. One would mean finished the other completed which Hebrew word would best represent the idea of paid in full. Okay, what I really Psalm I can't help but see a connection to Isaiah 53 five the trust are some of the chastisement of our peace rights. Shalom was upon him, which uses a set, Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic thank you and shall okay most likely Aramaic as his mother tongue, but certainly possibly Hebrew, less least likely Greek okay so possibly Hebrew most likely Aramaic based on another utterance that we have in Aramaic from the cross. But there is a healthy debate about it. So let's just say either Aramaic or Hebrew least likely Greek. That's the first thing the second thing is, even though in the Islam could theoretically be paid in full and can be used in other contexts and that way that's not what John 1937's outward thing, nor what I excuse me see a connection to Isaiah 53 where it it speaks of the chastisement of our peace was social model slob a lot of the chastisement of our of our peace being upon him okay to just let you to keep requote there.

My college is right so here's why I'm quite emphatic on this list. Let's take a look at John chapter 19 right. John 19 and you see something very interesting. John 19 verse 28. After this, she was hanging on the cross, knowing that all was now finished so to the sedative from Scripture I thirst verse 31 Jesus and receives are one. He said it is finished that his was interesting that Greek form there that you wrote out occurs only twice in the entire New Testament or Septuagint entire Greek Bible only twice where John 1928 in 1930, in the same few breaths.

It spoke, the meaning is obviously the same doesn't mean paid in full. It means it's Vince everything that I had to do Yeshua say everything I had to do to pay for your salvation to pay for the work of redemption to bring you into a place of fellowship with God through forgiveness of sins.

Everything is finished and now he is vindicated by the resurrection.

Yes horses were paid in full the cross. But that's not what the Greek is indicating just as everything had to be done according to the Scriptures.

He fulfill everything and be done. It is finished. He finished everything that had to be done. Terms of a redemption. That's what the Scriptures say that's what the Greek means all right. Let's go over to Karen. Karen is a question based on Leviticus 1417 and first Kings 1311 through 25 so Leviticus 1417 says this Leviticus 1417 and she just truly meant no cost to date, no breaking news today just getting into the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures when he examines the plague. The plague of the walls of the house is found to consist of greenish or red streaks that appear to the depot so it's talking about. They got Surat the the plague or the infection of leprosy in the body were severe skin disease in the body, or mildew in house so not mildew. All right, so that was the first part of the question and then the second part of the question is first Kings chapter 13 okay and first Kings third team yeah so unrelated to Leviticus 1417 Seleucus 1417's just about the about mildew in the house and with the priest. The rules were for that first Kings 13, 11 to 25 it's really really interesting account here and what happens is, there is a a a prophet sent by God to speak words of judgment against Jeroboam the first and as a sign of the judgment that this this hand with the sticking sand with us as he wants to get this profit now all profit hears about this and basically decides to test the younger prophet to see if the profit will be where the Lord is not is God said to this first profit don't stop anywhere don't eat you go right back. You speak and you go back home so profit comes me some hey hey I'm a prophet to alert you to come here and eat drivel because a hungry long journey and all that God is a prophet and sounds good so he disobeys the word that he received I was there because of a physical hunger and because the sky claims to be a profitable and of course he gets judged for other a lot of lessons to learn, and it's an odd passage and in that the old prophet deceives the younger prophet then warns over them with when the guy gets killed subsequently for disobeying the Lord, but it's a very simple thing. If you have an explicit word from God.

Same Scripture and someone else comes up of the Lord shall be something else. There is no something else. If there is an explicit word spoken by God and unconditional explicit word spoken by God. There is no something else. But maybe I'm getting it differently.

Note, note that that's not an option.

I give the classic example Belo right is called greedy elsewhere. New Testament second Peter and Jude speak of him is his ways agreed in the Old Testament condemns them as well for his sin.

So what happens is Bella King of Moab hires about tries to hire Mount numbers 22 sends emissaries as hey will give you all this money just come and curse Israel goes to the Lord and and this guy's a soothsayer and he'll just try to go to different deities get different revelations or he goes to the Lord and the Lord says, don't go don't go, don't curse them as their blessed it's a threefold out don't go don't curse their blessed no no no… I can't do it. Go back King is furious is telegram everything up to half my kingdom the come back they say I can view the Lord tells ago asking why are you asking again Belo because they offer you more money. What to change things. You know I got this amazing job opportunity and I have to compromise a member the Lord very plainly told me five years ago never to get in this work environment, it's detrimental to me and he never wants me to be in that again, but you happen offer so much money they can help the family. You praying you feel… Go go there if you want August give a different recognition.

We send you want a single had sent to Sebago I disobey meth labs with Belo heat. The horses got glad. So speak what I tell you speak. On the way the angel of the Lord was kills him.

Why Belo wasn't blatant disobedience don't go to my guy and I know it says don't steal, but they offer people a lot more money if all do this heist at the bank, and if all participants bank robbery with my expertise. Opening safes looking so much money I could put my kids through Christian school and and and University Patuxent matter doesn't matter.

Sin is sin is matter how much money you get to commit the sin wall and pray about it pray about maybe that adultery is acceptable. Also acceptable. So that's what happens with Belo and and ultimately what we understand is when he's unable to curse Israel and bless that afterwards he counsels the king and says look I can only bless them. But here's the deal. If you'll get them worshiping idols and sleeping with your women and God himself will judge them. That's the counselor gives which is why Belo was then subsequently kill by the Israelites yet to some interesting lessons there.

All right took a little extra time on that because of the moral issues right Vicki, can you please explain Daniel 927, who was the person making the covenant is the Messiah, or is that the antichrist, thank you Daniel 927 culminates a very important passage in Daniel mind 24 to 27 and it is a clear redemptive passage is a clear passage pointing to the work beside those on the cross and the culmination of the work of redemption, ending with the stricter the destruction of the second Temple you might argue there's kind of a recapitulation of the 70th week. The last week that will happen at the end of the AIDS just like the all of the discourse in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 have a an application to the destruction of the second Temple in the generation after Jesus and a final destruction with the Lord's return, that you could argue that that there is a dual understanding of the 70th week there and it's it's difficult to understand because of the that he who is the he spoke about is that the machine that's cut off the Messiah that's cut off.

Is it the ruler that comes in the Roman ruler and then ultimately answer Christ figure. If you interpret that way. It seems most natural to interpret it in terms of an answer.

Christ or the destructive figure there. It is possible that what's being said is the covenant is made to abolish sacrifice and offerings through the cross. And that's what's being spoken of their the Messiah does that in the middle of the week, but given the final destruction of the second Temple that is emphasize their it seems more natural to understand it in terms of antichrist. In terms of, or Roman ruler that then brings this destruction about so covenant displays broken and then with that sacrifices ceasing in the future, such as well.

One of the structure as part of God's plan. The line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown, the line of fire now by calling 866. Jim is Dr. Michael Brown.

Thanks much for joining us on the line of fire as we dig into the Hebrew and Greek scriptures.

I know you may want to talk politics, you may want to talk culture, but get into the word we dig into the Scriptures. I asked on Sunday if you had questions specific about Hebrew or Greek issues or interpretation of specific verses to just post them on our Facebook page asking your Brown Esther Karen Facebook page or twitter page, which is at DR Michael L. Brown, Dr. Michael L. Brown. We got tons of questions.

Scores and scores of great question so what I'm doing my best to do is answer them in the order in which they came in. I can do that a little more easily on Facebook than on twitter so I apologize I can't get to more questions, but the quicker people post we try to honor that and respond to it. So with that, let's go over to get another Vicki on Facebook. Matthew 1526. I heard Christian preacher say that the Jews knew she was, racist, and consider the Gentiles as dogs use this verses is proof looked up the Greek. I found the Greek word used here it was Canary on meaning small dog or pet dog is a completely different word from the term Truong used to refer to unspiritual people to an unclean animal same preachers of the word goy means dog, but of course no, it doesn't means people ordination.

The question is when you should use this terminology in Matthew 1526. Was it a metaphor, was it a racist comment as excuse right so you you honestly can't take this person's knowledge of the original languages seriously.

To say that goy meant the dog goy means nation of people in in Genesis 12 God says to Abraham, I'll make you integrate goy's visit to Abram there so goy itself just means nation so the goal you more the people of the nations knelt over the centuries goy could take on a negative connotation to Gary just to goy this Gentile listed with the work season were itself just just what is nation people. That's it on people goy nation art. So that's is the first.

As for the word stiff and insulting word, but the whole thing is in Matthew 15:7 Jesus takes a journey 60 miles round-trip on foot into that goes to this area. Entire there is a sero-Phoenician woman Canaanite woman. She comes to him.

Could you heal my daughter.

She's grievously determined by demon, and Jesus puts her off patrol puts her off and then finally says flex not appropriate to give the children's bread throw to the dogs. What type is just bit, but even the dogs then get scraps in this form a greater faith in his if the. The purpose was to show that Jesus was a racist. Why is this in the context of Jesus challenging the traditions of his people about clean and unclean laws. Matthew 15 and Mark seven.

He's just said that what goes into your mouth doesn't file you because it goes out of your system. Therefore, even though there are clean and unclean animals and things like that. In terms of your own surety which you eat does not make you impure. What makes computers the thoughts that come out of your heart, and he now illustrates this by going basically write a 60 mile round-trip you can compute exactly could be more about a 60 mile round-trip to heal this woman's daughter and then comes back. That's the only thing he does. There he is going out of his way to going to Gentile territory and to show that the cleaning unclean distinction is ruminations is something he's going to break down through his work as Messiah and bring the two into one family.

So what he's doing is drawing on everything she knew how they would have been viewed by the Jewish people. Yes, there are Jewish traditions that say that that a righteous Gentile can have greater access to God or just the same access to God as a high priest of Israel and reduce traditions to say the righteous of all nations. What will will, inherit the world to come. But there definitely tax that that look at Gentiles in a lesser way. That certainly exists, and that was that this woman fully understood how she would've been viewed by Jewish teacher and what he's doing. He's going out of his way, this whole journey just to heal her daughter and to demonstrate God's grace for Gentiles and and drawing faith out of her.

Yeah, you may just look at us like dogs or something or lesser people are not on the same plant tissue we can receive the benefits is one you have a lot of faith he's drawing something out of her if at and remember the.

The writers of the gospel portraying this or portraying him in a good light. Not a bad life and and and Mark are also in this mission is as is and is putting the woman off putting the woman off Mark is right, especially for Gentiles as well just make that clear right let's see Craig, can you explain the Jewish customs behind Psalm 23 five what is the significance of anointing with oil was the cup filled with oil drinker for the Jewish customs focus and scupper in proportion telling you wish them to stay so overflowing cup indicate you do not wish them to leave on the floor with a customer, if it exists, I've never heard that so I'm fairly confident to say such a customer is not a known thing that we can demonstrate from the time of David or the Psalms Old Testament times sold.

Normally those are just Internet myths things like that to be honest or later customs that are then reflected back but the overflowing is overflowing coming just there's there's no customer. This is an overabundance right anointing with oil.

But remember, you were not taking a bath or shower every day you didn't have been a shampoo for your hair to anoint with oil was something celebratory it was. It was assigned a blessing it was favor grace associated with it so and then you know for Royal service or for priestly service anointing was important, but if you think in Matthew six when Jesus open when you're fasting. Don't let anyone know you know, anoint your head loss. This is you take the best care of yourself look the best you can hear this what God does presence of our enemies.

He anoints us with oil our cup overflows. The words we have more than enough Nick, have you watched the YouTube video brace sheet. If so, please comment. I was impressed by no I haven't but if it was arguing for a patio Hebrew alleged Palio Hebrew meaning that points to the cross, throw it out nonsense that I don't know the specific video which you are speaking right out Wayne I say 12 do not say it's a conspiracy. This is used to say we shouldn't talk or be concerned about conspiracies today.

Can you break this first out. I love it. Okay, so should we understand Isaiah 812 to be telling us don't listen to conspiracy theories today.

Let me say this first.

I would just caution you about getting caught up with conspiracy theories in general. I was talking to pastor and author Rodney Howard Brown about some of his recent books, and alchemy of the planet killing Uncle Sam phantom virus and he says oh, they are conspiracies with their true others is conspiracy theory is false.

But there are conspiracies that are true things you gotta do your research things you got your homework and you gotta connect the dots and to really do it adequately might take years to be honest about a major alleged conspiracy theory or alleged conspiracy about innocent worldwide issues and things like that. It may take you years to investigate a single one so you when I'm getting sometimes five or 10 or 20 sent me weekly, sometimes daily of gotta see this. Gotta see the path of always going to take them seriously then you wouldn't hear from me for 20 years because I dispute locked away, researching and digging so I'm very very cautious.

Oh, oh yes, I agree with Rodney that the ultimate conspiracy is the devil wants to destroy the human race is working in many different ways through many different people, some knowingly, some unknowingly to carry out his nefarious plans, but Isaiah 812.

Low tone room cashier La Scala sure you're more, how has that cost share that moment all low to look obese.

So I say 12 new GPS version, you must not call conspiracy all that people call conspiracy nor revere what reviewers near Holtwood law number, the Lord of hosts. Verse 13 you account holy give reverence to him alone hold him alone and all I do not believe it. So my conspiracy theories are, I believe it's talking about uniting together for a wrong cause and was entering into a conspiracy together against God or against his royal anointed one or against his purposes with the people are doing as they are conspiring together to do evil. You don't conspire with them. That's what I understand the verse to be saying not to listen to latest conspiracy theory.

Although you have my views about the latest conspiracy theory. All right, grab a little on Facebook them will go over to twitter Angelique, can you talk about learning the Scriptures from a Jewish heart and perspective during the Scriptures from a Jewish harsh and perspective. Obviously it's it's a broad question and broad concept and there is not just a Jewish way of doing things, as opposed to a Western way, but a few things one is that Jewish understanding is often corporate. There is the understanding of of us and we being part of a people that this is not of is individualistic and thinking as we often think Jews commonly are praying together when they pray their prayers primarily groups of people and there's a constant.

So we must just think of the Lord's prayer our father in heaven. So even when you go and close the door behind you so no one sees you.

You are praying our father in heaven. So you're at your praying with us. Give us this day our daily bread right so so so that's that's that's one thing there okay a corporate mentality much more. Another is in terms of Jewish study, a repetition speaking out reciting thereby memorizing getting in the heart and the mind is greatly emphasized, so you will find when you deal with religious Jews that they have memorized a vast amount of Torah and of rabbinic tradition. And that's part of a repetitive study method, spending hours, but reading the text, speaking the text and then also there is, in Jewish study give-and-take call Chaka Vittorio did it. It is your often learning together with someone starting together with someone and arguing points especially with Tom would rabbinic tradition, so the sense of kind of wrestling with the text.

Something else that is commonly done Jewish studies hey get module commentary get some perspective as to how Jewish rabbis, teachers, sentries have wrestled with God. Job is my commentary. Job the faith, challenge, and content translation will break that all the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution.

Here again is Dr. Michael Brown join his friends were to switch over to twitter questions now were not taking calls that catch latest events in the news around us we dig into the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures. I solicited questions on Sunday on Facebook and Twitter switch over to twitter now that's at DR Michael L Brown if you want to follow me on Twitter and we alert folks on Twitter and Facebook to our latest articles and videos, but Twitter will often just post individual cultural interact in different ways. They are so good to follow me on both of those different places over it. So here's a question from truth is truth, why do so many Bibles must translate John 11.

See the Greek is clear, the correct translation is not the Word was God. The Greek differentiates between hearth Austin John 11B and sauce in John 11C. Why is this difference not carried out carryover in most Bible translations because it's not a difference.

It is a syntactical thing. What short Granville rule that when you have when you have the. The subject first and then the verb versus the verb versus this fall by the subject.

The definite article can be dropped right so NRK analog us in the beginning was the word right, the lowest was with God, because the office analog us and God was the word that's the right way to translate it, or as some would say what God was. The word was is what's being conveyed. So the reason you see that overwhelmingly in English translations is because that's the right way to understand the Greek see if if you have a certain knowledge of the Greek and you can recognize okay hot. The word thought is there. The first summit of the second time. So I guess it should be there, you end up with a barbarous thing like Jehovah's Witnesses with think the word was God's gift to Gaza. If two gods are obviously not know the Word was God is the right with a transit with G or the again get the substance of falls with the Greek was saying what what God was. The word was that's the that's the emphasis of what's being said there was just a matter of of understanding Greek grammar and syntax even more deeply okay cover on how Dr. Brown, greetings from Jamaica were Jesus said in Matthew seven verse 23. Never knew you depart for you workers of iniquity was to be literal or figurative. These people saved or thought they were there due to possible ways to read.

One way is that he said I never knew you never had a relationship with you. You were never my people. We were never in fellowship. You think you worked all these miracles you think you were being used all these ways, but your completely self deceived. I never knew you the other way as well understand it is in keeping with Jewish excommunication formula that we have clearly recounted the sentries that follow Lee the teeth I never knew you means get away from me separation.

You are now being rejected that they once did work with the Lord they once were used to the miraculous. But they chose sin, disobedience, iniquity, they turned away from God. They rejected was Lord. Matthew 721 that everyone assist me Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those dual my father so there he is rejecting them using a typical Jewish excommunication formula we are taking someone that was part of your spiritual family and I rejected them, saying, I never knew you. That's me is the more logical way of reading at the first is possible, but the other is more logical. Okay, let's see here. William asked this.

What is the significance of the Masoretic text Hebrew structure of Daniel 923 to 27 through 100 words centered around Shiva's the seven shovel week or period of 749 words before and 49 after. Also 204 letters before and after to believe this was divine genius or human.

I've never seen it.

Never seen it never had anyone mention it to me before, so I'm just gonna pull up the Hebrew here for one quick second. But I don't know what to make of it.

I have to really look at it carefully. The passage starts in terms of the revelation verse 24 but here's the word from Gabriel starting in verse 23. So my question would be why mustering verse 23 to be my only question was, starting in verse 23 is a little arbitrary either. I would think I was just remember verse 20 while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin's and my people Israel, etc. then that the man that had seen previously, Gabriel. The angel comes a restaurant verse 20 service 24. The actual revelation. So why mustering verse 20 3W only question will have to look into it. I've never seen that if someone showed to me before I never caught onto to them saying it so much. Look into it. But very, very interesting. I will happily happen to look into it. Let's see him all right says that he had a question for me over 10 years ago and foresight in answering hey Tim, we do if you wrote to the website. We do our best to answer every question that comes in if you post on social media 99% and I can see but we do ask that we do our best answer so sorry that we didn't get you that answer. It had to do with the correct translation of Matthew 2740's, 45, 46 N. lucks to have a point about the translation and I couldn't rebut him. So Matthew chapter 27 versus 45 and 46 Matthew 2745 and 46. What this typed it incorrectly there. Let's try one more time. Matthew 2745 and 46 from the six hour there was darkness over the land until the ninth hour, and about the ninth hour Jesus cried out loud voice in the early lumps must Connie that is my God, my God, why have you forsaken nothing controversial. There in the lease. Zero. If you look at the Targum, the Aramaic translation of Psalm 22, you'll find elite elite, my God, my God is not even in the tilapia law he which would have been a normal Aramaic form, but elite elite, my God, my God, and then an Aramaic Shabbat Connie so why be forsaken, which is the equivalent of of the.

The Hebrew also Tommy forsaken Susan there's no controversy. It is no question in terms of what's being said it is something that he was saying. Some of us tie what you sacrifice me know that would come out differently. In the Greek and there's no reason to even think that is quoted from Psalm 22 we we know obviously he's drawing our attention to Psalm 22 that's that's part of what's happening here. He hangs on the cross symbol.

Why is it shall voc and Aramaic would solve in in Greek because you don't have a show sound in Greek.

That's why that's why you have Scholl become Saul Wright and Shmuel L become Samuel Shlomo become Solomon if you don't have an SH sound in Greek okay and the rest of the transliteration that the minor differences you have are are none so there's really no controversy is whatever the Orthodox Jew was raising was without valid if it was if it was questioning that all right let's see here. Okay, try to look for the summit came in a little bit earlier.

Denise, the book mentioned in Numbers 2114. Why is it noncanonical. The book mentioned in Numbers 2114. Why is it noncanonical so book of Joshua or assuming his request and there check out our video. What were some books left out of the Bible. Consider this video super Esther to Brown.org consider this or some books left out of the Bible.

The fact is, it was never part of the Bible never intended to be part of the Bible you don't have it lost. The version of what you get online, the book of Joshua something completely later unrelated to what's in Scripture source quoted, but it was not God's will to preserve it for us. Therefore we don't have it. Okay Adam I'd be interested in hearing your comments on the translation of Genesis 11 you hold that title view verse was the title of the passage.

The temporal view when God began to create the heavens or the traditional view verse one is the first grade of act and why. Although I'm of course deeply familiar with the arguments about this is a gray sheet or Elohim in the beginning God created is it gray sheet is the role of the beginning of God's creating the heavens and the earth and and then it goes on a complex phrase from there to set echo other ancient recent creation accounts. Despite all types of massive linguistic argumentation. The fact that the oldest versions. Understand Genesis 11 as the creative act in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

The fact that that's how the Greek Septuagint understood it as married in John 11. The fact that that's how the Aramaic Targum understood and in fact even that the various targeted traditions understood it in that same basic way.

Even if they understood gray sheet with a different meaning associated with wisdom is supposed to be getting the still understanding it as the first creative act is this temporal clause then it would start in the second verse.

As for the earth.

It was this this this and this. So the model theistic majesty of Genesis 11, coupled with the understanding and the ancient versions and reflected in John 11 indicates to me that this is the first creative comprehensive act and everything else flows from there. Again, there's massive linguistic debate over this and top era scholars differ, but I do believe it is best to translate it with in the beginning, or by way of beginning God created the heavens and the earth. As for the earth. It was goes on from there. But Adam is.

I remember your name.

You got the linguistic background to be able to have a in-depth discussion with the other too intense for our radio broadcast. All right friends. Thanks for joining us will be back with the phone lines open tomorrow on early
