I am so excited about where were going today, I am always blown away by how God brings me and I got to meet a whole bunch of new people already this morning, and so will just get kicked off her then we got little Carico in years with the Winston-Salem rescue Mission, and I know you may have heard from a rescue mission before. We've never had these guys with this before, so it's all their stuff. It's only stuff that Winston-Salem rescue missions were very excited about how the you know it's it's it's to me always been an interesting thing that if you're on Trade St., Winston-Salem.

You can look down the street and you can see the Winston-Salem rescue Mission, but you can also see these big tall office buildings and often wonder if the people that aren't in those big tall office buildings aren't sicker and they don't even know they need a doctor.

Then the guys that are at least figure out that wow I need God and I need to melt in the end there down there at the rescue mission. Lily met Cooley God has you in such a place as this is such a time as this. Yes sir, I've often pointed out in our classes. That's a you know you may be a rescue mission. But you very possibly a lot better off than lets ACL. One of these tall buildings around us because they don't know the Lord your Savior and they're not building things up for his kingdom.

Just this temporarily for this life. A lot of heartache, in all our ways and am having somebody sure that with that character deeply cares about us. Wesley, you are in the transformers program is correct and so share a little bit about you know how did you end up there obviously you came through the 90 day program and and so can you share a little bit of your life and what happened yes I care while on August 27 last year on all life program home I came in a very dark place in the life was nowhere else to turn but while in the program three months after I was in a program I started coming out of that place that I was in a miniature choice, with the help of the counselors there through the classes, turn my life around and going to the transformers program of the transformers program for approximately five months now.

Home since being there my whole outlook on life is changed my physical physical issues that I've had have gotten better in the life that I was living got a closer walk with God. God is waiting to hear more from Robert and that's Wesley you hear more from his sidekick Robert and we can hear from Ricky and leave the father and son.

It's really amazing in its it's there's no really no words that is that is really really cool and we were on this cruise this week.

My wife and I with Ricky and his father that was a treat. Via energized ministries for pastors and other people in ministry, but that we are on and my wife. She is in special needs ministry. Actually, she's responsible for me getting involved, the special needs ministry so maybe she connected tremendously with Ricky because as we just described. This girl came up in a wheelchair and the next thing you know they're both just like almost like magnets or something there both hugging on this girl. Comparing fingernails is just enough to way beyond anything I can imagine just clearly you know they're both gifted that way and and and got you know made that happen and so as I'm watching this and I'm watching Ricky and my wife connect. All of a sudden I noticed my wife says to me about 10 times on the cruise because a lot of people walk up and say oh you're Robbie's wife you're Robbie's wife you're Robbie's wife and I because this just on enforcing for her.

She hears that a lot is you know her husband is a radio person or whatever. I am an end. And so she loses her identities to some extent in and she even you mentioned it to me several times on the cruise like man am I sick of being Robbie's life but to Ricky right to Ricky. I was Tammy's husband right. Ricky lewdly made or grown.

We really did connect and we talked about it a good bit and when rainy was little girl in her 20s, but when she came back in, we connected. All of a sudden Tammy would) you have both her hand and it was awesome for me to be able to watch her in action. You got involved in special needs. Yeah, and Minna really connected and I'm very thankful for both you guys get your Tammy, your payment, you know, I teased him of the event as chemical and that nonetheless I can't.

I can't get away from the fact that you know we heard a little bit about your father trusting you know that's I that's a word with wisdom as a father.

Do you trust your father, your son that he's gonna walk with God you trust him to find God in his you know, you point them yeah you, but nonetheless, there's that. But as the sun. What you see now that you yeah you know I would think about that Bible you know your children to raise your children the way the Lord and mom and dad.

I gotta pretend that in a prior mama and they did exactly that and they lived, but there was time that I was bad and they had a hard love but your prayers they are around forever and it was those prayers that you get God finally uses things that helped out that we got home yesterday about how people use the word attack. For various things in our life but God uses the situation to break out to get us to where he can use that and I think that many times happened because someone's praying for you and them.

Thank goodness I get parents. I raise me in the ways of the Lord. So that's just something that you know I lost my dad in March. As you know Ricky and I see you guys together and you know what it something that you guys get to spend that kind of time together in that kind of shared vision, which interestingly is yours but talk about your dad in his ministry.

I'm really not going with my dad is you, you know, don't let the rattler back you would like every Saturday and Sunday one of them ready to build TV wrestling and coarsely while back in a day that had a prior mama and she again knew dad was off the Lord and basically takes great education, good reading, he gets saved into mama teach me to read and God just man, he just poured into my dad and give him revelation on knowledge of the Bible is mind blowing to me and I watched him work with after you know dark degrees and things and you teaches Annette and everybody liked you and Andy to have their own calling God a calm and dad ministry is working with pastors and help them understanding word announcement people, teach what they hear but dad told her I worked with them and I am a loving way of strength in the church so we get back here and hear more from you on those programs and of course we could hear lease side of the whole wrestling thing you know open up a can of worms now now now so this is great. Robert, you two are in the Transformers program yesterday. Thank you for having me in a happy Father's Day to everybody out there this weekend. My name is Robert Ward I am a Fayetteville native and I came down here to Winston-Salem out of the detox from Cape fear Valley health systems in August 8, 2018. So I've been down here almost 10 months now and this program has really really change my life for the best of my friends back home. They call me Bobby bars work as a fitness consultant by trade and I have a awesome support group from back home. Also my first intentions coming down here. I was like oh it's a Christian recovery. I didn't know what to think about it, and cite these guys again about me with the Bible this that and the third and ideally I think I might've needed a little bit of that. I believe it or not I got down here and I was just before I got down here I was in a hopeless state of mind and had grew up in a church and you know always been spiritually inclined, but you know I had just turned away for a while there and but he never turned his back on me.

AE always you know he's always been there and am when I got down here to Winston-Salem to new experiences and I believe there is a humbling process. There and there was a lot of eye-opener's and just so many different experiences.

Some I can't even describe.

I mean really life-changing complete and the life builders program and then just being honored to even be a part of the Transformers program. I was able to get my high school diploma down here. I just recently graduated this past week on the actually held the graduation at Waite Chapel at Wake Forest University. That was just such an amazing experience. It took me 14 years to get it let you know by the grace of God and everything that's happened so many things have just been happening in a short period of time, and I know it really is not me. It really is God working in my life and I probably read the Bible more than I've ever read in my entire life and only 32 next month so that does anything. I probably read the Bible personally have had that personal relationship with God. It's been more intimate in depth and probably the past six months and it's ever been in 30 years. My life and I credit that to Winston-Salem rescue Mission what God has done for me and really like to give a special thanks to a Lou Carico chaplain Dave and Kim Woolverton and all the staff there because they just do a really amazing job at what they do passionately care about people and them.

Like I said sometimes I just get the point where I'm just odd. You know, we can speak on the radio that you know you gotta put in as many words as you possibly can. But I would say in all simplicity that I'm awed by what this program has done to younger and older gentlemen in this program and like you said, get a tour Winston-Salem come check out the place a cousin owns the first half can really see what the program is about. I wouldn't say I was a believer when I got down there was a believer in Jesus Christ but him and in these programs in the program are in recovery. I was a guy that was in a real hopeless state of mind and I was looking for outlet when I came down here. I found it and I that word hopeless you used it twice yes or an interested not to think why that hopeless the heck yeah there's never a day goes by that actually don't find myself in a hopeless state about something you like a certain relative that comes to mind immediately. Never gonna change that's hopeless. There's all sorts of places that I and God has to remind me constantly. Robbie, if you got faith in me or do you have faith in this person you have faith in that situation, where is your hope you and and and hope is is a beautiful man. It's an amazing thing.

And like us to believe it or not. I mean, I found hope in God, and surprisingly I found here. Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and if I can kinda piggyback on what you're saying there's people that are out there, whether it be family members, friends, close relatives, or even complete strangers that could easily define what this hopelessness is and sometimes I feel that we suffer in silence and the thing is you know you know God may see that NES is mysteriously working in our life and I could never predicted this and I and I don't plan on trying to in the near future. All I plan is put my trust and faith forward. Just really keeping it moving and working this program to the best my ability until you know this is just a temporary part.

This is a portion of my life to where I've got a chance to really take heed opportunity but really just walk with God as I do it and continue to do that, even after this program and if there's really any message that I can put out there to the people that are listening or people that may listen in the future if you know someone that's hopeless or she may be that person to really reach out and I mean the Bible says, seek and you shall find and am you know these are words to really live by. I mean if you come looking for the hope is there, it is out there just for you and I can only speak from my experiences.

But for me it was here in Winston-Salem, North Carolina rescue mission that is so awesome and is so Lee I know are all thinking at some point time there was much hope for professional wrestlers are oh my goodness, I just cut him off and he's getting so rickety and hafted to fill in for your dad for second while he gets them dial back up because I will and I think that I think that was about to jump in and chime in about what do you to your mentor talk about in the loop and marketed at one second report went on this cruise to interact with bags meant that you had them on there but are connected in the time way with someone recently wrecked organ on the cruise that you have the special needs and their industry or company. I crudely change that, yet overly for moving across the country and he could Rick I want you to watch this movie that I'm there's a connection someone that was no problem drinking and is his story and he was an addict and in going through a lot of stuff and he could he estimate he somehow made it out of the being almost an and made this movie and it shows him going through what it sounds like this type program that were listening to hear today, I want to ask you men something if there was a movie that shows step-by-step from the broken place on the street where you were the process of the detox and everything that you go through and in you. It goes through to where you're at a new place in life and it was based on faith and in what you went through. You think that would encourage other men to and women to step into these places like Lou had here to help me think that would do anything to help. Absolutely I think is been some attempts there but I definitely agree that it would absolutely help, not to mention coverage on the relative encouraging folks to engage somehow in some type of program in the bring home so I can agree more. Well the good news is we got great teasers as we know, we come back, find out about his wrestling that day. So we have so much more now to find out about an Lee I got to that man.

One of my favorite stories in the Bible is that wrestling match and and so I'm really curious about your take on that because if anybody would have a take on wrestling.

I'm guessing that would be you, sir. So you're your take on, you know, obviously Jacob and the angel Jacob Russell angel Jacob made a very powerful statement is not going to go to you blessed he was hiding something and got ready for Tacoma called… The socket. Well, it goes back to me. I Russell 14 years and did not realize why was there one day I won't lock the street integrating approximate 10 year dengue world taking captive, saying, helped Debbie you world heavyweight jacket 10 years I wrestled all over the states TV every week and I will sit in the Coliseum. One day you didn't know from Virginia that a old-timers day seeing all these older retired wrestlers and most of most all drugs and loss of family and it have anything that I would say this time that I look today at you don't want to limit them too much. I'm not willing to end up that way and that point we filling on top. Not knowing God, give me 15 years to train me, teach me to ways of the world professional jealousy to understand things. Then God called me in her ministry beside me. Call me ministry… Was civilian I was an uneducated man but will God called me, he called me to minister to educated people… Was I just couldn't understand it. You made that point essentially going to cost you some. I love that.

And can you develop that a little bit more force will let me go back when you gave good thing the Sampson earlier. The thing Sampson would call go to deliver the people. People call the church that was in trouble God's inception to deliver the anytime God is here staying forgot understand in these in times when God called you to do something is go to college like Ricky. The people don't know what he goes through when you when you read in the Scriptures when God redeemed Israel settled pre-been abolished. Is he going to test the UN go thirsty in the wilderness that was not an attack that was God's tested to see whom he could trust. So when I watched Ricky go through the testings of life there not attacks.

There testings and I got enough knowledge and no got a like what you saw walk a tight rope wind blows, but he hangs out and and so so proud he got enough knowledge to understand it like try to get to you quickly so important just like to get reading Genesis Updike 15 God made a promise to Abraham, to your children will go to body 400 years will what Joseph was put in that way you'll that was not under track. That was beginning of a promise so I try to encourage people.

Your life may not be under attack that you think Dr. Gephardt got kind of place you in a position to bring forth a promise. So when I watched Ricky go through all the struggles I know the end, these children will be blessed moderately true that so God called me to minister ministers because I know I ministers even on the shield I met ministers it was struggling open up to me, but on the outside you could see it. They think they shaded very well, but we call with the they get week trust in God.

They think they under attack so much what is God actually got working there like so I guess will encourage everybody to stop and look what God people to the Red Sea and they had nowhere to go and all of a sudden I roasted I will go destroy God's people about people panic state we undertake to undercut what K God was fixed to show up something once they crossed the Red Sea.

All that given me grounded is what got total because now you never see your enemy again that what it attack God was quick to show his power. Sometimes we need to be real steel in our situation that was worth the price of mission right there. I think this shows only I could go on and on.
