Your host Robbie Gilmore well so fun you know when I Stu Epperson I originally began discussions on why we would do this ticklish focus you may know that I've than the Christian card I show for a lot of years will actually only about a year and 1/2 after Esther. The Christian card I show I start to show.

It was called Robbie's hobbies and the idea behind Robbie's hobbies was everybody that was talking to back then wanted to get on the Christian card, I shall but they didn't do anything with cars and so we needed a shell with a broader format in order to you now see how God took their passion and used it to build the kingdom must do, was that he liked my hobbies ride with Robbie so he came up with Robbie's hobbies and what happened for the number years. It was called Robbie's hobbies was a lot I guess wouldn't come on because they're like why don't do a hobby I'm in ministry headset retains the name of the show the kingdom pursuits to more matchup what it is that we are actually doing. Years later, if you ever wonder why that went from Robbie's hobbies kingdom pursuits and so I did.

But the whole reason for the show was when you got really cool people that God is asking to do something and they had a got idea like what we just talked about last show and Bethune in the WG OD however that worked and all my goodness, look at this and so I to me like our first guest is a poster child for that idea.

We have Rhonda Martin and she just got involved with this got idea called the first supper. I know you're interested to know about Alan so welcome Rhonda has a lot of introduction that you didn't expect did not.

I did not thank you for that. That was why so thrilled to death like I got a letter from Stu that share this idea of the first supper and how God had given it to you and how you took it near your son's school.

I did it was third grade and conquered North Carolina and stated how my mom so that we can come up with something for Christmas. We had to have a Christmas thing and I kept thinking about back in my childhood how every year with the same last man, Mary, Joseph, shepherds have thing and in and I remember having this tensile garland race on my head expressed in a halo and it was just in just every year. It was like I got here we go again and I wanted something different for my son iPhone is something for them to remember and do. Fark is very good try next. Guess that's good. I love that you can see how God gave her this involved somehow cool in our next guest document got ideas we have. Richard Cummins is with lead like Jesus. That's an event that's coming.

Welcome Richard hello hello we are just excited as we can because I think everybody would like to lead like Jesus don't do anything absolutely greater leadership role model of all time. And so, wow, there's a global gathering coming right yeah yeah. So if you think about it like everywhere we look around today were dealing with people that are printed or division.

There's just so much of that going on some of the steps we've seen recently that 9/10 Americans believe were not wearing a leadership crisis so the time is now the time is now to really talk about those age-old ways of Jesus the way to the carpenter and he led the greatest, the greatest movement of all time sense of the CDC were loaded for bear to Dan kingdom pursuits you listen for years know that I have to do my riddles and so if you had listened before either Rhonda or Richard. I heard that Jesus told the disciples, something the Last Supper wasn't recorded in the Bible never heard of this get on the side of the table. You know what I thought about when I read your story was due to my parents to go to church very much, and I was a kid and return about Rhonda Martens. Her first supper story and but they did go a couple times he lived in Naperville, Illinois, and I can only remember one Sunday school I ever went to. But I'll never ever forget it and what it was was they did a Passover Seder like for kids and so they had the horseradish he had to put your mouth and the bitter herbs and all the stuff and I never forgot that Brian I mean I didn't become a Christian because my 30s but I never forgot that Sunday school lesson and course when I watch the movie the 10 Commandments you know it all about that I know what this is. I've done this.

I know what that isn't actually the first time I read through the Bible. I was like oh I know what this isn't all that stuff because what somebody thought through like we need a regular we don't need just the you know something that would be a whole experience more than you know just the stereotypical Christmas event right now. I deftly want to talk to you okay so and what it would tell me your thoughts on what what you think is the key word when Jesus was talking about the bread and wine are in remembrance rampant and come back so just so cool in my boss Stu Epperson runs radio station. And in that he talked about at length what the thief on the cross said something similar right, remember me when you come into your kingdom and we have this concept of like wouldn't be nice of Jesus remembered me.

Well, very cool. The letter Zion and if you look at the hundred 19 Psalm all those verses are very much directed at remembering so. You couldn't be more on track for my point of view like oh yeah, that being mindful is like. Jesus is in this Jesus knows about that.

I think Ohio Tommy are on kingdom pursuits good morning good morning. I have never in my history of kingdom pursuits had a call from new Lebanon, Ohio.

So were so excited you guys are caught in the day. Well, it not a real strong. I brought like the content and here I am well. I am thrilled to death that you hear you are in. So what what what what what's a keyword for you and thinking about when Jesus shared in the last supper I were here other caller. Remember, remember, right in all we could yeah and it has so much to do with being mindful Ryan might well I am out of anything. I struggle honestly you now is no problem for me to somehow another look at the clock it's 11 o'clock the morning to go. I have thought about God is right. And how did I how did I do this man. I was like I started out so good when you're like bite when you're real hungry you know your meal and everything like now you're going to preach know me well yeah, I've done it. I've done it in the allotted time and mother-in-law who often stays with this she often looks at me like, really yeah that is so good Tom, so good. I'm so grateful for. How's the weather up there in new Lebanon, Ohio this morning. Beautiful day. Very very sunny and it like 70 get ready to go. What Dr. day my grandchildren and enjoying it. Well I hope in your remember Jesus and I'll remember your call for all day.

I know I'm very close to Ohio though I'm up I'm up in the Northwest part of the state will well that's awesome, that's absolutely awesome to well Ohio's high when they call it the light when they call somebody from Ohio Ohio I got buckeyes there you go, that that fits so tell us how how did this come about. I mean, what it looks like your whole website is lead like Jesus. Is this the passion you've had for a while. Yeah so the organization was founded in 1990, 1999 by a gentleman, author and speaker named Ken Blanchard so Karen as he came to the Lord yet phenomenal success as a writer and that so much so that it began for him to start wondering why that success coming in. So a good friend of his named Phil Hodges led him to Jesus and and then he came to understand the gospel with chalk all of the rich leadership ideals and ways of Jesus how he led the disciples to kingdom movement and so that that's where organization started in where and 24 nations currently equipping and inspiring people to lead like Jesus, servant-based leadership approach this event and I'm excited Robbie to tell you about it because you know we view leadership is anytime you implement thinking, behavior, or development of another person when you think about it all about your Christian and you you have them.

Matthew 28 mandate to go make disciples were all leaders of this event is for everybody, whether to mama wrestling coach or CL.

You know, Mary and Joseph thing so so we left her here are you are you are trying to come up with something you felt like when I await it impact them for Christmas but not the same old I wanted to do something with kids that age, everybody must be a participant that was to just stand there, you know, looking at a manger in UNESCO playing wanted to be interactive so I tell the mindset got a story that never likes relieved to somehow yes is going to take responsibility itself came home and I dug in my attic and I got some sheets and some I know tasseled mail from curtain and just all kind of things and the next day I went to school and to tell apart about your your husband.

Which part is that I didn't dress up and show him what you and Allie.

I was dressed after that and he said they are like night in his lap keep from laughing and must sign it first. Aside then forwards like she's got to be doing. My friend get excited laughing to mortify but I did rehearse at front of them and then I got to tell the parents is all you have to do is bring this for dinner and you have a little meal after displaying this and this and this and in the past with Sherry yet you got this app yeah bring sliced melon balls or something I can do this, so the story is about is told through the eyes of the innkeeper's wife instead of just say this happening in a manger now.

I wanted to tell a different and she tells about how the people were coming to her hotel and she was part of so many people there and that this couple comes and knocks on the door and woke them up and is just tell from her idea of how this is pregnant woman there and she decides to feed them a meal and that was the first supper and so I researched and did all kind of looking up on Google about what they ate at time date now is a goat cheese. They ate eggs, cucumbers and things like that, pine nuts, and so we brought them into class the next day and after it was over with. After I tell the story.

I was Naomi and I told it to you just have to towels all around and the children were just it was it was really surprising because of massive forts and they didn't see me as Ford's mom. I was this lady you know for thousand years ago was Naomi's nightie Annette had hotel in INN and Bethlehem 2000 years ago and they were not what you did and what we think leaves and a great reason they ask all kind of different questions and was like they were really just fascinated by think of some answers on the cuff because had no so I'm I'm just saying Richard it sound like she was leaving like Jesus and so you can hear in this business it's just brilliant.

The way that that that God work through that.

But you got all the speakers and help us write to hone in on that kind of thinking. Cheryl always lined up for this event.

So we have Katlyn Leone well known for a number of different books like the five dysfunctions of a team, hungry, honorable, smart number of leadership. Jim classic that we also have John Gordon is known for the energy, but one that I'm really excited about James JB Brown sportscaster Robbie guy great sportscaster but he's an even better pastor shock all scriptural with your love it and then Ken Blanchard. Obviously, users are bound or I will still have to Tricia Goyer. She may be familiar to some of your audience. Tricia Goyer has written over 80 books on on parenting, on marriage is on family and so she's going to be one of our speakers as well to have this.

I've been I've been a leader primarily all of my life really reluctant leader for much of it God. God put me in different positions. The most prominent I guess are the earliest one would've been at 22.

I inherited a family-owned business. My dad had a massive heart attack and passed away but I got that put me on a journey of becoming a leader, both in the marketplace.

I was leader in the military but but more recently in the last dozen or so years I've been a leader in ministry and so when told that it happened. I was actually on on the leadership team of new song ministries, where I met you and have had a chance to get to know steel and we were doing big large huge events all over the country with people like David Crowder and Lily Giglio got well as you can imagine. Went over to that world shut down pretty hard and I was seeking God what what was next in my life and God made it very clear he said continue to lead people that was in my spirit. And so when I found out about lead like Jesus. They were transitioning from the past. The Yahoo retired to what was next. God blessed me with this opportunity right in the middle of Cove. Believe it or not.

Well, what better time to lead like Jesus writes just.

It is it is I got you know what you said at the top of the shoulders just conflict everywhere and so much division over things that will ever thought and so while there's there's the higher stuff to think about them and so I'm so thrilled that you guys are doing this in the event itself in Kentucky but it streaming tells about the is it happened in the morning or laughed at. What's going on 9 AM Eastern 4:30 PM start 430. 4:30 PM Eastern. And it mentioned Pacific to think about my current text in the Philippines, so they're going to be there to be a two day or are going to start on the 13th and end on the 14th but for us here in the state, 9 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern. So it's one that's on a Wednesday morning. Obviously, at 9 AM, which is Wednesday the 13th it's actually just a week from Wednesday. Believe it or not. That's how fast the 13th is, this can be disc this coming Christmas movies, as every which way before we know it in there and nobody's can I have a Christmas movie called the first supper well well if they would if they've followed your book promoted. I was thinking they need to cast you a star.

Based on that, and I heard a minute ago and now has not so so you went and the kids just obviously to grasp this in such a neat way and so was your prayer, hopefully with as you publish this book that other teachers would take this on. I was hoping it because it is interactive but mostly at the end we gave them like a sad time not send lamp lot.

The children even myself. I had never had lamb before but wanted pants fixing it was wonderful. I had never had pinenuts before I didn't grow up in New Mexico and tell you about the opinions of eggs and goat cheese and the kids and I got Jay's life and that was when fear factor was a game show on TV relaxing kids and I found it was just like fear factor and they tried and they get seven like the teacher love seems older lady. She left the Phoenix's out but they all had that in. It was a chant start to be a part of the first supper for what Jesus would've eaten during his times and they would like a human when Jesus told a fig tree to wither up and die Carl up and die basically and then I set the same tree SS the same trait.

You know what he did when he held it but it sounds it's a good little book that had recently sent one to John taking ministries and they are interested. There like that. We like this what we get it so Amazon I know enough about it that we know personally because I experienced somewhat as a kid with Passover.

That way is it will be something that they remember right, that they are never going to forget that goat cheese are never to forget] that the Pinyon nuts which I guess to call pinenuts.

You know all those things that they they know they didn't try but moreover there connecting it. The connecting the dots with there was no room night. They really hate this back in 2000 years ago and so it was something like his children when they can take part. They learn and they retain more than just sit there. Have the story read to them or being a part of a play where they just stand there and not a part of it gets. They have energies in there like sponges and they set things up so that was one of the things I noticed and then went out again work with Ronnie Jackie Pinkham there like you got to tell the store you've got decent. This is to kill you get the discipline and so on the on the concept of remember Richard.

I'm curious for your event obviously got all these amazing speech or speakers from your perspective what was there to help us remember to lead like Jesus. Well, his whole life. You know his whole life example peroxide like Leonard and I I was even thinking you know when when you were just discussing about the first supper his childhood knowing when Jesus came on the scene that they didn't say hey, isn't this the miraculous carpenter they didn't know at that point are the miraculous carpenter's son. Jesus had a yell.

He had a child and and and very relatable. And so we think about three elements that Jesus came on ministry, one he had a divine purpose.

So he knew early on, even at the temple I'm about my father's business. And he also was raised by by servant so he was a heart nurtured by other heart service.

Mary and Joseph. There were two incredible servant leaders and then finally you know he was raised in the profession of carpentry and so Jesus every he was man and he was God on earth. And so he definitely was relatable to people at the time and so he's relatable to us today.

That's the thing that I would remember about him that his way. The ways that you model for us are things that we can do except for perfection, but we definitely can lead the way he did. I don't but having got grounded, competent, confidence and ability. All of these amazing trait I'm reminded how he came from the line of King David writes this name starts and ends with the dollars, which means no servant nor the door of Sir and so you know when they say that King David had those attributes.

Certainly Moses have them right of this really, really humble person that just chiming in there and and and certainly as I listen to you, Richard. I can sense why God has blessed you are that because this sense of reluctant leadership right the people that grab the bull by the horns necessarily or not sleep sometimes. You know what I'm saying you cried in hubris. Sometimes that ruled the day exactly why the world €2000. What what you hope people come away with life transformation understanding discovering model of leadership beginning to develop themselves demonstrated in community and then finally disciple other disciples who will disciple more disciple that's a lot to ask for, but at the end of the day we just we do have a burning passion that the gospel message will be spread by discipling other people all over the world sound and discipleship myself and I learned some really cool especially if you're in leadership where you know you and obviously all this are leading families are worth leaving small groups or leaving whatever but when you find out some school cool.

If it's a God thing made to come to Burns in your heart you want to share and and then when you share it then people start get excited. Next thing you know you got a book like you know I first supper and you had a cool idea and and next thing you know right you shared that in all sorts of people jumping in and and this is their opportunity. What's your hope for your book well like to. I'm hoping he can get out to my homeschooling parents. There's with David taken out at the school system. This yet.

I grew up in it where we would you know you know Pledge of Allegiance we have word prayer in the mornings we'd say pray before we ate in our lunch and with that being taken out and is also with Cove that you have so many of the schools. The 10 lockdown and so many of them unable to yeah and it set so their groups get together. Parents that are doing things in this would be a great Christmas project for some of the parents to get together and have a meal you know the whole families they can do that around this book and read that it would open up children's ideas and their minds to a different thought of how Christmas when it was you know the first supper was also the first Christmas and it would open up for the parents and interest is not to say I children thing it can be an adult thing as well yeah so I mean thank I said there's Amazon has it. They had an I think it would be so I've got another one coming out is going to tell the story of Noah and because all the kids right, the animals know to get on the boat and tells that story thing about Richard and Ron that when God is in something, it's safe and and and it feels like from and it feels like something that it brings a crown right and unfortunately so much. What's dividing us all right now as I think about your leadership model. Richard is all these things that don't feel safe. All these things it don't sound like fun. All these things that that don't seem to have a purpose and so I love what you talked about this, you know, there's clearly a purpose behind your book right. There's clearly a purpose behind this event and clearly God does not want us to live in a spirit of fear by night. He wants us to feel safe and he wants us to feel loved and will people not get tired of the Christmas story to see the same old thing, as they did in the second grade. That's when the third grade I said this is got to be different. That's cool but it's so cool and and what you think. What ID you would talked about the sportscaster share some else you're excited about. In the event that would that might take somebody's interest. Richard, you know, blessed even through covert, we are able to train 35,000 leaders around the world and most of them. Robbie, were you got really excited about emerging leaders and we just know that this gospel message is so important and we need to put it in the hand. Influencers so I'm excited that were actually going to have younger leaders that are part of. Well, whether it be in the US or Taiwan or the Philippines or even in United emirate got people that are participating all over the world and in particular overseas. We have we have this concept called leisure family like Jesus and we got a segment on that with Tricia Goyer and that is just been so so hot so awesome book is called the first supper and you can find it on Amazon.
