Your host Robbie Gilmore. Oh my goodness. We have a great show for a great and great show for you and all sorts of ways. Today I'm so excited. I can tell you to introduce some of the folks that you can get to me today, but first off is an old friend that I know that as soon as I said the word great. It's in Marksville you know that which is always near and dear to my heart is coming up July 17 never talk about that but also on today's show very, very, very cool people I met at the NRB Paul Long and Brad Silverman and they are with A Studios which is in Hollywood that were actually in beautiful downtown Burbank.

I found out so welcome Paul welcome Brad call it what you guys are some of my favorite people of the NRB this year to spend time with thinking about Robbie minute would you really, really good right was a minute with Sam Paul and Brad are not only The studios but they have something that I think is just good of man. Just light up your world.

In fact, had to get to it this morning because I thought that there was like this is so cool it is to Christian film finishing fund okay so there's so many Christian films out there that are in so many different states and It is one of the studios. How can we, the Lord liked serving filmmakers so that the project can get out into the culture with hope and prayer that it would impact the culture or krait individual project go for and spread the gospel that he prayed about it and really got a coupon. I pray together every morning we, what if we starting non-profit find what people can donate the tax write up, but that training a win win win situation and use those monies to help, but I of the project so that With our area of expertise, being all that postproduction work we can get the project completed it into the culture factor so that God willing we can hopefully make it dang and just advance the kingdom through media and thing I get a chance to speak with somebody filmmakers on the show have been blessed in so many years to interview many of them is really really really a struggle and by the way, guys, I have to tell you that I was told that there was a filmmaker that I absolutely love love love and I thought I told you I thought his name but his name is Jefferson Moore. Oh who did these in the perfect stranger in all these different and like all man I came back I want to sit on. I go tell my friends this guys movies or just I mean I like a lot of times when I just come home and I and I need something I need that I put on one of those because they just, you know, it's like bringing Jesus in your rather than watching something crazy but all prayer was a gentle giant huge part of why this happened right yeah it really was you know my story, we actually Brad actually did a little video about telling our story and why I would give it our company unfortunately got a break, but let me just say that all this is the kingdom, pursuits.com and.com. You might might that mean that we have our first game of the year and at COBIT said that were in California to get their first game that they were pretty bad about that. Glad to get you to run the corporate and the aqueduct. What I like Robbie and and and wait a minute that minute when a fairly good meeting you filling in my whole life.

Like all. I grew up in Los Angeles and the film business from a pretty young age had something that doing it and the same kind of emptiness that the further I got along. Long story short, that that is where the Lord is always there but that's when I open my eyes and open my other way dead heart to him and began pursuing him about 25 years ago and then I tried to pursue both krait and the film the secular filled with anything wrong with that. But for me personally I couldn't do it couldn't connect the dots, though I walked away from the film business back in that late 90 and ministry that was where my passion lies and my wife and I did that evening in and we we got to a place where we literally thought calling me to be a youth pastor, I like old yeah I would put our home up for sale.

To be from black to be a youth pastor in rural or northern Indianapolis wow yeah I see clearly in future like like that that I was away and write what I know they Robbie that when when that didn't happen is about a decade ago, I like you know what a buddy of mine believe what you want to do, like I might have some unfinished business in film, but at this point Robbie. I was a completely different person you are. My motives were different.

It was not as much an idol for me it wasn't who I why it was what I think the Lord I needed that wilderness time to do that so I began to start writing and directing films that honored krait and became a client of this incredible postproduction facility in Burbank.

As you put it beautiful downtown burning and bill the client of The studio. That's where Paul and I became friends.

Then I love the facility. I love the editing sounded anything I talked about so I was a writer-director and I brought my phone to And they would finish them for me and you don't match made in heaven. And so in a profit on rate together became friends and we didn't realize what we are praying for, but three years all and I prayed together back on another 70 years ago and after three years of praying the other. The Lord opened the door were I could come on board full-time act And colonnade continue praying the other every day. Read the word together every day thing Lord what you want, Lord Schiller what it is to be faithful to you today and Robbie, I can't be.

This is natural for me not, but man, as we kind of pollinated committed to being radically dependent on God, and committed just trying to walk by faith every day. Sometimes every hour that I'm that much of a wonder though they brother up on his brain and want little by little.

This shows that we got to start working on our big audience would know the show called the chosen, but it just got in the last couple years that would got really big, and a few others that have really really hit prominent in the faith base.

Paul and I that continued to pursue God's heart as we can daily and TCAM and bring it all home to start the finishing find me. To start with arguing with the Lord really opened up for it. We didn't have much of a chance to hear from Paul because with you knowingly had the short time with Brad, but let me just tell you that at some time with Paul Paul Paul is the founder of The studios and really really one of those people that like man so much fun to be around just somebody loves Jesus and loves to talk about Jesus and so Paul same question back to you. What did you want to make sure that our listeners heard about what Jesus is doing out there in California. Well, you know, I think of you and I'm glad you brought this up I heard that question for me to but anyhow yeah the I think when I look into what's going on out this date in the culture right now things, the story the messages every area is packed in so many ways. What I realized looking at the church is in tatters. People are not living for God showing up in the church, not reading the word and not focused in on God is to serve God and we got into a situation here. I know that's true in the churches where there's a lot of people that speak the name of Christ, we do not live for. Because I was one of gonna hang around yeah hang around doing my stuff and how are you all right you know we did all this stuff, but I wasn't reading the word of God in my business.

Just showed up everywhere and so here's what I concluded from looking at this, just like the Lord is by reading the work is recognized that we need to speak in the church group. The word must be read and study and it will change your life and what it does, the fathers need to father often start coming in and read the work with her family.

Share what they learn each day with their children and their wives and that little act of just getting in there and and stepping up I think will start to change the church people rededicate themselves come to faith want to do not know God there in the church and every version immediately and as they do what I call a couple state and the cupcake right now the church is very low and we think that as men start to step up and serve God legitimately hard of contrition and we talked about. Then I heard from your commercial thing or choices that we make the wrong that was awesome David Jeremiah so yeah there are choices that are made, but were not locked in wheat we went when you come to faith in Christ. Things change your new creature in Christ are no longer held in bondage to that's gone to the still of the world. There, but now you can have the choice and the spirit of God lived well you and give you the strength to walk through each challenging each attack that way.

So I think that as that happened that couple people fill little overflow and I believe strongly that it will go out – evangelist one-on-one evangelism come from the overflow.

Paul, I cannot agree with you more.

Just the cool thing to talk to Paul's to see that the love that he has for the word of God and in the reason we do is that it's Jesus like in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. So the more you read with your family with yourself. I love the idea of self he dad I'm look I'm dying to see this movie now, but I mean of course if if if you're going to like what you meet this beautiful young lady and you want to date her while jerking to get to know her in the best way in the world to get to know the greatest lover of all time is he's wrote the whole book man and the more that we get you what I found my whole life in Christ. Actually, Paul is always something gets me excited in the morning and I got a shirt with two or three people because you can't you can't help but share it so you couldn't be more right as we read the word, the natural response is man let me tell you what I read this morning and then people go really that's in the Bible like and then who knows they crack it open or better yet, to share with your kids man is really great.

I was talking to a young man the other day down here Los Angeles within the restaurant talking about the Lord and I basically and save his wife wakes up every single morning and she says full of dread and fear and anxiety. And he said to me she says to me you don't know what it's like you have no idea what and what I recognize there is this very thing were talking, I said to the guy what you have to give looking you get what we very quickly concluded when I talked to you got nothing to get so the Lord God is what you were to guys what you get and I gave him.

Isaiah 41 to write this down on paper what you do take a tour and we she's when she's telling you things that I do understand and now you got something to get while I want right now. Okay the freight for I am with you, do not fearfully look around for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I mean somebody is waking up full of dread.

What a beautiful thing and you know one of the things that that that happens if ill for almost Brock is we wake up and we don't necessarily feel good because we don't take care of ourselves in water and musket on ways that we can do that right as well. Well I just got a say something so my heart Paul Brown to love your story and I'm just such an example of my dad. You really being in the word of God. So as you guys are saying this and I got three children and just so blessed. My dad radically gave his heart to God at 30 years old and he was able to give us something and you know that so that really resonates with me in case my dad's list, and I love you.

Thank you for being in the word of God and given that our family now that's beyond precious and special special guy I heard about Jesus, July 28. Jesus was nothing more than a cuss word and the words totally changed but it took time and and so yeah this is that legacy that you been, get Brock that is awesome you been given something I never had that we grew up in a family were only worship work. We work seven days a week and I love my parents are fantastic but they didn't tell me this, but they modeled that you work that's what you do and so that's all I have now experienced the same thing something simple and again this is really where the rubber meets the road and so many different ways. I don't think I'll go on that trip, but I'm glad the grapes are well getting back to my friend Paul all like you know what it would cool thing it is to meet somebody. I met him. Actually Stu is doing the devotion. I think the first morning and Paul and Brad were sitting there and I got a chance to talk to them and then almost anytime I crossed his path during the entire time. It somehow or another we were just drawn like man we had to talk and space this this man is such a lover of Tri-Cities got fresh stuff like Isaiah 4110 Paul in so you know what what are some of the projects that you guys are working on that that are exciting to you right now we just we have a lot of requests for projects and only one I have a gospel message or that are bringing the hope of God in Christ to the screen we dealing with so that we have a list of about 15 projects.

Would like you out this year that were written for that. We clicked all four of them so far and I can get almost project done by the end of the year or even the first quarter when those funds to continue on with that, but we yeah we like there's so project about homeschooling came in and they like to get it dominated the funds, but to walk it forward.short and we got enough to take it all in fallible event and also these are neat opportunities and Ellen errors is talking about experts all across the country and you know there's a shoulders coming up pretty soon call family Q comedy at the Christian comedy and we really had a lot of fun working on that. The guys it did unplanned or out right now were shooting. The project will be bringing that in their field right now.

She guys at family camp really cool and I got a chance to talk to them to describe. I saw looking up the poster man I was just like so you guys look just like you. The people in the poster right there.

Are you yeah and it is so cool because it you walk around there and and God has given each each of those people some really cool gift and gave you the gift of film finishing and so I I know that you shine there.

Paul, in a way that's absolutely unique.

Would you mind share with our listeners what part of that really just flips your switch really looks like which serving these folks and finding the one they get a flat tire like Brad was talking about and what it really comes down to we do we do everything under one roof. We off-line, online, color, sound, visual effects. We do all the deliverables we would do foreign language reversing the trailer I knew what you got it we we have been doing this over 30 years so your lifetime doing it in the secular community and we pivoted our company about five years ago. They were just going to dictate family projects in the Lord just really kind of provoked me that we just needed to do it different so in that move. We decided we are going to go guys. Where was that, how One of the things it Robbie. He and I both come to the point of just kind of a fork in the locality so we get that forgetting okay and I call a jumping off the roof and they jumped off the roof and there's no taking that back but God made away and so we we realize serving is really a lot of fun and I served secular filmmakers for many many years but serving the people of faith communities different and because they're doing something that mattered in there trying to speak in a culture and to give people hope so those are things I'm interested in that you don't want help them when they run out of money and so Brad and I talked about how I had were out of time and I got to know him and brought back you know, so much so much fun again.
