I couldn't be more excited to share her story with my audience but with all of my faithful friends that listen like I gotta tell you that after I interviewed Angela first thing I did I got back to my room. I had to show my wife. The book I had to tell her the stuff. Oh wow, what a treat. You're going to have with Linda. Angela shares that today and Angela you are in the military right.

And Alan, how long have you been with missionary air group will, I am just getting in the door.

Actually, my wife and are still doing our fundraising wherein the upper 80% is now a great so we can volunteer to that point they will offer this application back in Thanksgiving so you can imagine if your passion happens be flying and Jesus like how lucky do you feel when you get to go do that for a living running a man in my career as an aviation for over 40 some years and ministry. During that time to then he chose to listen to ministry for calmness were excited about on Friday and next steps. Today we have with his pastor Ron Smedley and I had pastor Smedley on back last October, but this is my opportunity right to get to talk to you here again because I got to meet Ron in person when I was in Dallas so welcome Ron good morning Rob. People are dying every day. Families are being torn apart so I'm a former parole office during the past 40 years, God is giving me avoid people the power of transformation that can come from pastors and churches providing Christ centered recovery yeah and so how you know that as is a parole officer you not like I hadn't thought about that role. I think is much until I met you that that here are some people that are really at a point in their life where God is done some work and it's really an opportunity for them to make a choice, one where the other in what what most of them don't walk the church because they don't delight the people in church can relate and make up such shame and guilt on tragically. Sometimes the churches put more strain and guilt on him so that you end up going worse than minority. One of our passions of the pastor, because I benefactor pastor to come along but begin to develop an environment, culture of acceptance you not remember what Jesus said about the least and I am saying over and over again. Yeah in the mission so and wow, that's some interesting duty and that because you're flying in some really wild places yeah we we minister only to the most remote people in larger meaning wonderful missionary organizations with airplanes and I serve all over but we specialize on just the remote groups in the Lord. Then you don't need us.

We only go where you have to have an airplane to get them or to get to them effectively never taken a canoe down the river for days as noninfected way, so we only go to the moat and for example Honduras Reese Roos Honduras this world have a base there not doors also in Guatemala San Francisco caught a lot of so we again in Honduras. That's to the mosquito people that are in the Eastern portion. They live out in what I called the reserve country made that a national reserve.

September is recovery month. We want churches to partner with this nationwide movement. September 23, 2021 and then every last September. Every last Sunday to go. September starts Labor Day and ends with recovery. Okay, this is what you've got for me will socially and I was in aviation for 40 years as an aircraft mechanic. A flight instructor charter pilot international jet pilot Greg babyish Barb said spent most my life in aviation, but also fashion for ministries though I'm on the life of been teaching Bob in Sunday school, small groups, nursing home, prison and jail and so it just will doing this. Both of those things, but Mike is three years or so in my career line. I just had this desire yearning to do more in the ministries.

I enjoyed doing what was course was doing volunteer work.

There's the jail just so much there and I got slim metal my heart to not know how to make that work. You know, I know airplanes and calzones and Berryman son so is moving coming and now we're going to hear the rest of Allen's own story and more out of Angela and Pastor Ron. It's a little different then prison ministry right but it's a prison ministry that really gets down at the heart of things on your online parolee on the Corolla because there for the grace of God, you think God every day for the blessings and privileges that all the sparkling meaning that come from broken homes are playing a lot of malaise molestation so hurt people hurt people and so sometimes out of their clerk and a lot of people want to judge the knowledge that you need to look at what's behind a person's pain rather than looking at their behavior and I saw that over and over as a parole officer or damage if we try to get down to helping people to experience healing presence under broken your heart and are praying. Christians are not immune. By the way, you know that you think will he went to church and getting done well let me just tell you that that all my goodness that that's what where I am, I mean in so many different ways, it's this is what an opportunity to be the hands and feet and Jesus, especially when you know someone and I bet that they feel accepted so much more so when they had a relationship with you before and you got an opportunity sticking with it. You go ahead and also like to be with volunteer work with foresight, prison and jail and court for shutdown and I can get in. But when I learned in doing that was where there are a lot of guys that are the reason that there they made one mistake. They had a friend talked me to try this right and then they did in then before you know it they are on this road takes into a deep dark place in and now here they are in prison. As you and you get out your net and it can't. It's like will have no help me. I've messed up and is over, but is not God hee hee provides those chances, but they we have to. We, as Christians, we have to be willing to say yeah I could've done that to praise God I didn't but I could have if you know me, I not only make that mistake once I made it for thousand times, God still somehow or another doesn't turn his back on me. I mean, and so we can be the face of Jesus, and we don't turn our back on anybody, and the neat thing about Alan as I know little bit more. The story is God close your door for you, for your regular job right and so the next thing you know you had a necessity and and then he opened the door for missionary air group and so while you've had this opportunity now to search is surely better that it would been praying would would do more in in the ministries and corporate world and God answered that prayer into my driveway, but the unit in God. Angela, what would be one other issue that you are one thing that you would share with our listeners about your book that might interest the last few seconds.
