Hi this Voyager man talk radio podcast are missing is to break down the walls of race and denomination your chosen truth radio broadcast will be starting in just a few seconds. Thank you. This is the Truth Network kingdom pursuits here from ordinary people instilled with an extraordinary passion together we explore the stories of men and women who take what they love and let God turn their passion into kingdom pursuits now live from the truth.

Your host Robbie Gilmore how funds in today on kingdom pursuits. We got going on with the Supreme Court of all things interesting fashion. Actually both our guests today, have a passion for children.

The first one herby knew always present of lifeline Christian lifeline children service in herby.

You following what's going on. The Supreme Court, and in the and you've got some things I got concerned. Certainly, the following day for a while even really think three years ago when Philadelphia first time of religious termination at the time Bethany Christian services and for our ministry because of the biblical foundation that we have not only have we followed it, but we partnered with Beckett asked to write an amicus brief end of the court brief and so we we actively debated a goodly believed and knew how important it was for religious freedom, particularly for child welfare well and so that the case itself will salt versus Philadelphia essentially, can you kinda describe for us what was going on with her absolutely Bethany Christian service where to biblically pay religious organization.

They were operating in the city of Philadelphia were taking a mind as well and local city find to be able to operate their foster care program and what they were doing was recruiting foster family from church to our parents to throughout Philadelphia and then equipping training and licensing family to be foster children and if you look at the map.

Philadelphia is actually even more.

The top 10 locale for foster children. There's a lot of kids in need that I have in the I believe if you look back Bethany was serving about 1300 foster family put time in Catholic social services was serving about 1100 foster family between the two organization.net 2000 children were in care with versus organization they Philadelphia decided that they were going to continue funding both of those organizations, but they did it doesn't. Almost overnight, and it left both of them.

They actually said you funding if you will stop discriminating on your religious beliefs. The guilt stopped only recruiting and training and equipping family that describes your faith statement at the time Catholic. The third unit said no were not gonna not compromise and Bethany made the hard decision and what their statement that you comply with Philadelphia, and to accept anyone in their foster care program going out of the Services actually decided to go ahead to the city of Philadelphia believing that this was a direct infringement upon the religious liberty and religious freedom of their organization to train and equip and recruit those families that beckon find their payment and agreed with their Catholic faith. That case made it all the way to the Supreme Court. Actual oral arguments were made today. Hector the election on November 4 and I will say Robbie week we believed in an Idaho even listening to the oral argument that that this case was going to be found on behalf of both in our Catholic social services and actually seeing the vision you know there's a lot of hope and for an organization like ours lifeline. We actually don't take any government, state, local funding. The first is the huge victory because this is another layer of protection for especially for all the others but don't take any government funding. But even for those that do take government funding, the Villa of big when certainly no legal scholar, but as I thought compositional attorney that we work with best through the ethics and religious liberty commission in DC. They believe that this is a win in the court had basically said to the city of Philadelphia but to the United States writ large, that if you're going to try to discriminate against religious and faith-based organization and you're not to do it to the legislature not going to be able to do it just haphazardly try to change log and you have a lot of religious dollars and religious freedom dollars while they certainly wish that this provision had been a little bit broader maybe a little bit more precedent-setting. I think they also understand that currently were country in that even though their most secular still really do have a belief that Beckett put out a study that 70% of America actually still believe that religious liberty should be protected can be really hard for the legislature, at least today to try to do any law that would infringe upon our First Amendment freedom of religion how much this gets back to how important Supreme Court justices that install recently are to the situation at hand, but went well. We got yeah I understand that just a few more minutes to herby tell us about lifeline children services are you guys yet so we work mostly with and without the southeastern United States as well as some of the Midwest, but we work with women you're going to crisis pregnancy helping them through the love and healing of Christ Jesus to help in the life of their child provided option option, where applicable, we help families internationally and domestically adopt the were helping bring permanent the kid bit me forever family. I we also do work in the foster care system help with family reunification to bring kids my family back together as well as bring kids in the placement foster care system to of them to be safe. We are a biblically-based ministry, though all of these ministry rely upon partnerships with churches and partnerships with believers. We also provide strategic working care around the world helping. Their aging out orphanages equip the global church to care for these kids that wrap around me good last but certainly not least, we we do counseling and education for those family who have either been through foster care being foster or have been adopted have experienced adoption you want to be there with biblical counseling appointment back to the way they should get this awesome herby and so you know is our listeners want to engage with you guys because understand really have you for couple more minutes. How would you at the people listening. How would you have them pray for lifeline children service that I would say first to pray that we would have with them and that we would have the word be able to point to work with the Christ event.

That is our first and foremost mission is to manifest the gospel and to the point gambled back to Christ because I just prayed it work in their lives that he would bring light into the darkest situation and that he would certainly bring hope and healing to be the most vulnerable that we work with having second, I would say is that we would continue to be live in the age. It certainly would not compromise the debris would also be wise as we navigate the religious liberty issues that are at hand and while certainly we celebrate the opening.

We know that there still a long battle bike be able to continue to operate in the way that we've operated for the last 40 years. In the third. I think for especially ministries that are taking state, local and government finds the private the guy that owns the cattle about the Guild by the need of those ministries that are like lifelines that are operating on the basis of the faithfulness of God's people so awesome thank you Herbie the person of the lifeline children service, but also now we got Reese Kaufman.

He's the president of Child evangelism Fellowship CEF like wow I mean yeah and this month you guys are celebrating 20 years since the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the good news club's right wrist is correct and 11 911 01. This was so we got them. I hate to interrupt you recently got so much more than some. The next segment is in the following segments we had a lot more with Reese Kaufman coming up on your listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to King first takes passion and uses it to build.

Today we have with us. Reese Kaufman is the president of Child evangelism Fellowship and this month as we are talking about their celebrating the CEF and sobering 20 years since the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in favor the good news club which do you know once again, this is given them an opportunity to do so much work under you know God suspect it's really beautiful thing ready so I bet we interrupted you as we went in there but to again tell us about the Supreme Court ruling were we are so one savior part where I will 63 decision and the good news club has the right is not the public schools in America right after school.

Our is much as any other group. The chill out of the school is open the door for the school system and with the change of our culture. Workers are not real, shall be other people's homes. This is really help your ministry greatly, and we are now working to expand this opportunity to work about 20 or so work on something got special probation.

I was absolutely awesome.

And Reese is your are you on the speakerphone or can you actually hold the receiver because were not getting as loud as I would like to see if I can help that little bit on straight. Yes, I was not went out get better for you.

Write out all yeah no comparison. Absolutely beautiful, so good I'm I'm very I have had an opportunity to interview several folks with CEF over the years, but for those that haven't heard of you want to tell our listeners a little bit about what Child evangelism Fellowship is our ministry founded 1937 sold 84 years old was founded here in United States and two years after was founded and started to spread across this country begin to send missionaries overseas. The first ones went to Latin America because what war started in the European or start of World War II and so the work is growing worldwide, and we now are in most every nation of the world were going actually about 97% of our work is overseas right now and that's been expanding because God was the work work goes under children everywhere so that's what we focus on elementary age children and God's was actually at the two years prior to the pandemic we reached over 25 million children each of those years in person live live teacher to look you right in the eyes of a child using arbitral Navigon through our training programs present the gospel children so it's been a great ministry not been thrilled to be involved. I got involved the local level than the national leadership and so got it blessed me, but that opportunity but we are excited ministry. Trying to turn the hearts of the parish and churches to the children. We think the elementary sure been neglected as all kinds of ministries going after adults and teenagers and families of men and women, college students, but who's looking after the young children as George Barna says 85% of the people come to Christ to live and serve in local churches came to Christ before the 15th birthday, and as a business back in the business world and from the businessman to shoot for 15% market with 95%. Your energy does make a lot of sense that were focusing on the 85% market and the fruitful ministry and that's what you want me to it personally. We believe in it, but got us was a smirk.

We're about 3700 workers around the world and we probably work with 1/4 million volunteers each month and during the pandemic year. Last year our data comes in every day and even though our ministry reduces passion. We did reach 16 million children with the gospel and now her ministry has to take a lot of new speakers of the changes in the culture and the changes in the garb of pandemic man what what interesting challenge.

So from a current standpoint solicitors and try to put some flesh on this. Is there a story of an individual for child family that that you're familiar with the happened recently since the covert situation where you dislike ma'am.I'm so glad you have me involved with Child evangelism Fellowship all yes we get stories around the world because a lot of our Mr. Dell said Internet thanks. Virtually, and we have good news clubs going live through what's rapid through economic on the Internet.

All kinds are we to get report soon and I are stories of children coming to Christ, but more than that, I can tell you the whole churches have been started because of of children come to Christ occurs following a venture church being established the world in fact that you actually like tell us that story like where it happened, how it happened, was involved in overly start with the first woman all through a cycle of the first where market was start with story like that, our founder will refer to as Mr. O was a denomination back in the 1930s did not evangelize children think the children should even be tried to receive Christ at an early age was reading Charles Spurgeon in a book by Spurgeon that he was reading a love's pertinence as a child of five properly instructed come to the saving knowledge of Christ just as an adult, and he said out loud. The story goes, that's not true Charles but yeah that is what he said in his life to witness to some children this church, privately read his life story almost in secret because he was embarrassed even be doing it, but he wanted to find out if children come to Christ while make the story short, what happened was too little girl to girl nine years old and 11, two sisters put their trust in Christ and from all that we could tell he could tell the new birth to take place. A few months later, their mother, who was an agnostic, came to tertiary said they had and she came in that evening during invitation time she came forward to receive Christ. Mr. O went to her after she prayed and she was smiling and she was happy about the leave the church. The center we tried for years to get you to come to church.

What caused you to come to church and his answer was her answer was one of the change life of my two dollars and there's the story went when the new birth takes place in a child's life, the person becomes new creation in Christ in the start to see change in life.

Even as a child and what happened. The mother saw that and she understood the life of her two little girls.

She won what they had and they came to cried.

She came to Christ or so while following her two daughters those kind of stories are everywhere. We have people working for office in the ministry now 30 years and they tell you when that six years old seven years old I came to know Christ and I call a grown-up fruit. God gives fruit but the fruit grows up. That's a real test and the Lord says in John chapter 15 the crew will abide and we believe that the child truly come to know Christ but got the Holy Spirit and the Lord will take care of the child and will find the fruit grows up, and later you'll find them.

I was in the church in North Carolina speaking I got up to speak and led to the pastor announced to my total surprise, he said will read it before you come to the Pope. We just want to know this church was actually started like good news club and then told the story of how the little club children got together and all later persecuted no correction.

I was a church with a few hundred people sitting there and I was just shocked that I want to open what what a good feeling to start off your message and God is doing around the world. We see that happening all over the world and it might interest you to know that our strongest region in the world.

We have eight regions are strongest region is the belief the most triple countries of all seams where the persecution takes place in difficult.

That's where the ministry expands the best all over everyone of this, I mean every country has kids right and right, and as those kids in the Middle East whether whether that's in the land or wherever right think a parent restaurant and somehow beautiful light. You know that that that's really powerful bit you sure they love their kids and when they see their kids lives changed the like man I want a piece of this directly riding through the Middle East. We had a program going this past Christmas we done the last two years, called Christmas across the Middle East and they call it family.

The Catholic expelled out of his Christmas across Middle East lands goes camel and we start this program.

Even the Muslim parents want their children here. The true story of Christmas and we're starting the program this year America for Christmas that parents a lot of parents do not know the Lord, but they would like their children the true beauty of Christmas would have called Christmas party quote logical courses but told the true meaning of Christmas event to give them the gospel with the goal all draw them into a good news club which is our primary ministry that we have in the schools and I we have in homes and other places as well.

So there's great interest in parents are bringing their children for British reasons, I have been in many countries around the world traveler gnashed off a lot, and I've been many countries were Muslim others are sliding around the good news club and the bus home address listening to the stories of the gospel and their children so you plaster they want to bear, and it's amazing how God works in so the fastest region of our eight regions is the mentally specialist going I should say, and millions of children have come to know the Lord there in the last few years because of what God is doing in those countries and the world were thrilled to see God do those things allow me to and so if the listing are not familiar with Child evangelism Fellowship. Their website is CEF for Child evangelism Fellowship online.com CEF online.com so course, if you want to find out more information on how you can connect and and as you said you got literally hundreds of thousands of volunteers in my life like you got that right. I was the person from the manufacturable factory or semi years and I was interest in productivity to which we ramp production. High Point production Mayville components for the automotive industry, military appliances, and I was interested in raw material coming in pretty foods going out machines running 24 seven all kinds of activity when I got home I wasn't sure I was because I really was. I hate we got another break coming up so you hear the rest of the businessman model of what happened with Child evangelism Fellowship got Amy, my little I'm actually a gift from working your listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.

Welcome back to your passion, kingdom, and we have with us today.

Read is the president Child evangelism Fellowship, which is CEF their websites. He F online were there celebrating 20 years since the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the good news clubs but also need to tell you I have with me my good friend Amy, owner shows coming up at 1 o'clock today. It will be live in Amy which got force along with an army contract and are trying find high in pain. God had quickly die and came back to life, man would not give up on Hank's way from traffic documents nearing and asking him to stay on how God got enchanting economic highlight I had to do little to no better someone how you that's a live shows, 1 o'clock you can call in and you also get to talk to Boris.

I mean, not just Amy.

The whole package. Okay Amy I appreciate you call an insurer shows 1 o'clock. It's that you're coming up on the Truth Network so you guys can tune in thank you Amy God bless all so you knew I told I had to do my little so I'm going to and you know we both guess you meant you might notice her talk about the Supreme Court so speaking on some Taco Bell lately, I've noticed. The Supreme Court is been a little more ruthless season now and it's crazy that they only have one unless you knew this feeling of one unit of measurement in North Korea. Just one. Yeah, especially when it comes to their drinks is the supreme leader leader. I'm glad you enjoyed the bid like my last.

We forget that you're okay taking a Supreme Court justice is a lot like Chris crossing the river you thought about that.

It all comes down to row versus Wade still see another riddle is coming. Now you can win today only answer this riddle and some fall away from the Fay at big bear therapy in court. Why will there be no hearing time when some fall away from the faith that their day in court. Why will there be no hearing.

If you know that when you can call him at 86687884 866-34-TRUTH and a bacon guess that Robbie bathroom something great may be devotional Bible from one of our ministries. Lots of fries doesn't tell us when some fall away from the faith of their day in court. Why will there be no hearing 866-34-TRUTH 87884. We would love to hear from you today, but when we left early release and I'm really up to you. You been in business which I understand because I came out of the car business myself so I understand you got marketing you got Bonnie got selling you got manufacturing you got all these things going on so how in the world did do Child evangelism Fellowship attracted to you because I love my business is 24 year old and just loved her arm and started expanding his God bless the years, but I had a great hunger to serve the Lord and I learned you. I personally was not excited. I didn't think it be that interested in it because the children are brought like I thought. Men's Bible study defense retreats. I was more interested in working with manner with adult, but I got to go to good news collect to a committee but my city of Indianapolis and I attended and I give my testimony. Listen to what they set and when I left that meeting or driving away over saying to myself what I heard today is true if what I just heard really happened than that little group of children's workers in their blood morsels to Christ in my city in the last 30 days and that all the pictures combine. I knew what was going on. The church and I started investigating research going to some other functions that I truly I saw horrible soccer little black boys. One day it fair just come to what I could tell from human standpoint, they came to a true saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as our Savior and I began to realize that help pull this ministry was a fireman manufacturing process trust assembly lines robotics everything working to produce product by the somebody of mentor somebody per hour interested output finished goods going out the back door of the day and I'm now in a ministry that I see fruitfulness and children come to Christ.

I see it happening everywhere because the gospel itself is designed for childlike faith want to get to realize of the goals have become like a child to be saved and hard that is for them to give up all their hope in her own effort in their own egos, talents and gifts and they have to come down like a child of your letter hopeless I could do nothing to receive Christ and no one realized the children already there.

They don't have good pillows. Now they are open to the gospel and as it says in Luke 1121.

This board was rejoicing, saying that he was thrilled as he spoke to the father and he said that this plan of redemption was designed to learn to be educated but for little children, and if it wasn't that designed that way would work.

Of course, and so I begin to grasp this, and I can tell you this day. I wish I was a good choice work, but I'm not but I have learned how effective they are. And so I give up my life to help children's workers reach children and get them what they need help provide them with the things they need and help grow the ministry so that that attracted me just because of fruitfulness of reaching children and that's my call to the church of America that we need to be focusing on our children. It seems so much that the children are put in a room. They entertainingly told Bible stories are teaching something or play games. But the real meaning going on with adult and we need to focus on children because they're open to the gospel they could receive the gospel that earlier there is evidence of grown-up fruit everywhere. When people come to Christ earlier testified that fact is there so I and we need to focus on children and I am a living testimony about my business. I sit and put this star together. My wife.she married me. I was okay car salesman you get the picture. Anyway, my wife, father was a bad alcoholic and very very abusive mother also have several struggles and he died when she was seven years old. Her father died when she was seven years old right like a week before her eighth birthday and when he died during the transition. Mother trying to figure out what to do. The kids I did not know father. There was a family called the Beaufort that took Tammy in and you know they did. They took her to church so she would never abandon you crossed the church door with her family. Based on the background except his family right so you know that the whole idea so that this family takes Tammy to church and she accepts Christ like eight years old. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Maybank another town in Texas, and as she's walking down the street this other man comes upon the name of Mr. Marriott, Marriott, and he says young lady do you go to church and she does know, but I'd really like to and so this man start taken Tammy to treat nobody and her family went to church now, but Tammy ended up you know and and eventually her mother got saved along the same lines, and eventually I got saved.

Along the same lines, because a little girl got taken the church right that other guys Vern never had a chance to hear the gospel and so what you talking about, like so and and also that one more segment talk about this and I am Sean, I really was not that hard is it now when some fall away from the faith of their day in court. Why no hearing, 866-348-7881. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to hear how God thinks and uses the kingdom were so blessed to have with the president of the child coffin with us today and talking about children evangelism Fellowship. Their website is half online.com CF online.com and as I was thing about it reads the. The these good news clubs like you said you went to this good news club you saw these these workers so can you kind of give us like what what happens in a good news club.

Well good. Depending on the club meeting. We have a certain standard they have to hold to the club drunk Minard 15 minutes to an hour and 1/2 generally. Obviously there's music for children to sing Christian songs. We do memory work. Sometimes that country music as well. But a memorized verse of Scripture and then we have a Bible story in the Bible story we bring out the gospel truth. We also have something in the clubs for all the saved children to grow in their walk with God and of course we have oftentimes missionary stories we tell what God is doing through workers around the world and all this is the point children to Christ and the child comes out good news club singing songs or quoting Scripture they know the Bible stories and this goes with it.

We give mature we have devotional books for children of different age levels and the ideas we want that child with the Lord every day. In fact, we are working in discipleship or we will fall two years ago God wants to spend time with just you just you got to spend time with just you 365 days a year.

God wants to spend time with just you and less the course of the song and a corporate giving the children material, but every day they can have time with the Lord in devotional but has Scripture included so you we desire potential not just to come to Christ. Then of course our purpose for one of the few organization has a local church bench weeks wanted to try to come to a saving knowledge of Christ want the disciple of the word of God want them to be involved in a local Bible believing church.

So that's our mission statement as we strive to do so, God has blessed us work as we see children grow up and they grow it. What we call the window of opportunity when the child gets in that age around six years old or thereabouts, and it in our country, that window closes around 11 or 12 about different countries use different areas depending on the culture, but with a child in America. Their worldview is generally locked in by about nine what they believe and 13 is probably what they're going to believe when I die well and that's why didn't you just apologize for my mic it went away for second but I want to dump it about a paragraph or two ago is that again somebody came to Christ at the age of 30 wanted us to know God's got all sorts of ways to get to people.

There's no doubt he does. But I will say this I you said something I think very significant. I don't want to miss our listeners to miss and you said it, you might've said it. Actually, the last segment but a lot of people picture Sunday school is something to entertain the kids while we speak to the parents okay and actually I teach special needs adults you know there but a lot of people call him kids, but the rage you know 20 through some of them are older than me, 67, 68 years old and they have down syndrome and and things like that. A lot of times people said I was so nice that you that you entertain these folks and their parents come to worship you, that it could be that their parents are the ones getting entertain if they want to see worship come watch my group.

Okay, that while you're at and and so that's what the but the point you made is actually hugely significant when you think about how important all those Sunday school teachers and and how they how wonderful it is that you guys are help training these people so that they realize that their purpose being in those classrooms is really to make disciples of these 56708-year-old trying every pastor was thing right now to this program are they, they know that there some school teachers have been trained on how to present the gospel to a child and how to bring it out of the Bible story and how to make it clear Scripture, and not just entertain the kids.

But do they know how to lead and this should be evangelistic as well as things the kids enjoy is very critical and that's our call is to turn the hearts of the churches the pastors to work world fruitfulness is where the real important leader going because look what's going on the world that you know in your program. The conversion all the things are happening around the world to get into the classroom in the textbook.

Why doesn't the church go the same way go after the classroom the textbook saying that in light getting the children at that age. These perverted groups they're going after the kindergartens are going up the first and second grade they want to get in the classroom. Think of why is the church doing that they know something that that the church hasn't figured out yet that is whoever owns the children owns next-generation and we need to be focusing on children is vitally important issue for we see it work out all the time.

The children really really affect something that's mean and it's if it's a beautiful thing and I'm so grateful for what you guys do again.

The website is CEF online.com but recent how can our listeners preferred Child evangelism Fellowship or what were you see God that you would have them praying on last few seconds. I would ask one thing for North Korea. We are praying the one we have not I will pray for my wrist right now.

Pray for the purpose that nothing pray for our nation the way Christians are in the wake of their own children and the children around.

Those are two very important thank you again appreciate you so much. Being with us again. That website is EF online.com now state confirm our live. This is the Truth Network
