We have until the end of the month, just five dollars gets a Bible in the hands of a poor, impoverished believers all over the African continent with the help of the Bible league, just five dollars.

Think about that Robbie just five dollars a please give, you get more than five dollars man would love for you to do it in the number to call is one 800 yes word, one 800 yes word on 800 yes word hi this Roy Jones with man talk radio podcast. Our mission is to break down the walls of recent nomination, your chosen truth radio broadcast will be starting in just a few seconds. Think this is the Truth Network kingdom pursuits you hear from ordinary people instilled with an extraordinary passion together we explore the stories of men and women who take what they love and let God turn their passion into kingdom pursuits now live from the truth. Your host Robbie Gilmore wanted treats I really have a smart phone already this morning I can hardly wait for the next hour. So today on kingdom person's we have Aquila do with this and she is the author of an wrath of the sounds bit scary, but if it's something really cool book in wrath remember mercy. The redemption of torque. You do that, I get that right Aquila correct that's a miracle where all we are. We are so I you know this is interesting and for those of us are in the South right where it's often called the nor the war of Northern aggression, along with any material so this book along those lines right. It's interesting and I'd love I love the title reminder to all kinds like were living in word so much angry going around. We have to remember to not our enemy well and that the Civil War talked about a test is that and I know a little about this book that you that you've written enough to go man your main character got tested and certainly when you get into all that so Aquila is our first guest to have with us Pastor Thayne Barnes is the pastor of Woodbine church and Mayo Dan North Carolina, and more importantly than all that is. He's my neighbor. We live on Blue Creek Lake and he started prayer group there in the in the neighborhood when the pandemic started, which is then turned to a Bible study where we meet every week on a beautiful thing and it is great. It's a great time we get together and share the word of God sure. Just each other's needs see some miraculous things happen because the prayer because of God's intervention to exciting right in our own neighborhood. It really is like I was like how did I get so lucky to have neighbors like this and an opportunity to create our own circle of trust for you know what I'm saying because I'm sure you feel like I do with that group that we meet every week like there's there's a lot of trust repair. There is a tight group that comes together and I think that the that maybe some of the things that God is allowed to happen through this pandemic and all of the shutdown is is the work will have to reconsider and re-evaluate what it means to: quote do church what it looks like because we won't be able to to just identify it with the place that I am going to the church trying think that's one of things happened in our neighborhood we we have church every week, and it's a special time and then we go to our own churches in the do it again on Sunday.

We really do. And in the neat thing about if I'm putting together God always puts my guess together for me this cutaway. It Aquila it really your book.

This is for such a time as this really and it go. What do we have to be willing to do in order to move forward with what's going on in our own eye yeah and it's it's interesting.

I get to do a radio show with Nikita cholos the champion wrestler who has his phenomenal faith and we're just talking this week. Pastor about how this pandemic has really kinda separated no the sheep from the goats so to speak, like wow all the sudden a lot of people that are cowering in fear versus those who are walking in faith and in an you know what is that look like in it again I'm not testing any stone.

I understand you can just see in certain things in here some but it's a great example of that bit.

We finally might special needs class that we met last Sunday for the first time we had more students than we've ever had it. I'm I'm of the same 10 years because they finally got a chance to come back together and wow that was like open up the floodgates here. They all came and boy were they hungry for the relationship in the face-to-face we been doing zoom in on during the whole deal, but zoom just doesn't it's not the thing.

If it isn't even in the same world of of what it means to meet regularly with people of like minds of faith that you really know. Wow and and I and if anybody thinks Robbie had anything to do with this your absolutely I was, as usual, just hanging out. My wife says you know our neighbors are having this dinner thing we gotta go to okay okay will work really well and then you know when we go to the dinner thing that they were going to then will they say we know we go to this this prayer meeting every Saturday afternoon and you know the next thing I know I get a chance to come to this, that and that's how it happened well and you surprise us all that much, it's Hebrew you understand because I took Hebrew and I was in seminary and the and it was not a good experience for me. I knew I was in trouble when the back of the Bible section of the front of the Bible after the alphabet when they started in the vinyl markings I was I was in trouble from that they'll forward yeah fortunately I I can learn it at my own pace and I've never had to worry them how markings trying to not trying to speak it but it's it's a really cool thing. So Aquila were so glad to have you with us today and maybe it's just start us off of the story of how the world did you end up writing a book in my mind and heart to write. I can remember one writer and finally, the Lord brought it all together. I written the book all parts of it all. Many years ago.

At one point I not going how it should.

I am going to give it up. And the Lord will give it back to me and I write it later. I will, and so I chalk every scrap like brined into the woods and just trust the Lord in about 10 years later he brought it back and it was mostly proved it was Technicolor and I went ahead and wrote it tells you below us to seem syntactically what can you cottage share with us how you felt that that color, lives well heroes character came alive and was a Christian and somebody and it became a story or an allegory really of the Christian life. How you start out as a child, trusting in loving God and everything's fine and then strictly in how you react well. Not everybody reacts the way toward keeled judging the story but it's a contrast between how he finally learned to trust God so you can you can see the cover of the book is just absolutely gorgeous. It is just somebody's payment is obviously but the part about it that jumped right out at you is the hero's name is not unlike the author's name and they have, they share the same last name and then there's that you in the middle about their first names and so when we come back trying to find out there's a relationship, as we know, and you see what story to find out more about her book and find out more about.com and all. I haven't forgot my middle.

I fully armed and listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com are welcome back to where we hear how God takes your and uses it to build the kingdom today are so blessed to have with us Aquila to her book in wrath remember mercy. The redemption of Tokyo do as well as my good friend and neighbor Pastor thing Barnes, pastor of Woodbine Baptist Church in male Dan which I just learned this week that them because I was going down the road and I realize that there's a Mayo River MA why oh pretty sure Hellmann's founded. It is a place where the Mayo River meets the Dan River and guess what they call it from mailman. So speaking of mercy and wrath. You knew this was coming when I was debating what you are getting mercy and wrath so brief was pulled over while driving for speeding and the priest said the officer. Blessed are those who show mercy, for they shall receive mercy which the respondent, the officer was as he was writing out his ticket go and sin no more mercy anyway and also heard about this French murder running around rampant all over the place in one of his victims said mercy mercy remember that they were French right into the French got a shot at him and said you're welcome this. We do, and so that you know we we did a couple in mercy. Of course we have to do one on raptors for equal and since this is my favorite of the bunch. I've saved the best from left to get to live up so did you know that you cut down on costs. The cast and crew camped outside intense while filming the outdoor scenes in Star Trek to you might remember that was the wrath of con right. You remember that pastor to start the wrath of God. It was Ricardo Martha Braun remember playing the blame he played con in the wrath of con so so I snagged one of these tents on eBay but I did and I thought you guys would appreciate my new original content on time and con on my content.

Yes, so little time at the end of all that you give away the book right so who in the Bible right showed wrath but still remembered mercy is an open-ended question for you. Who in the Bible showed wrath but still remembered mercy 866-34-TRUTH 87884 and what a beautiful book you will win.

Remember mercy. I absolutely I would call it a novel. I it's a novel people. That's a beautiful book in all you have to do is call 866-348-7884 tell us who in wrath showed love to hear from you today and love to give you that book so when we left our hero Aquila. I the main characters name. Not only did they become in color but they seem to have a real resemblance to your own name. Is there a story there. And you name which Eagle which referred to former haircolor and the fact that we writer on our own kind directly to get it written and Eagle day kind of cover so that the explanation so well. I just I'm excited. Black Eagle is pending.

I have to tell you that thing and I because we know we in this Bible study. We live on Lewis Creek Lake. Nine and we both love to fish. As you might imagine. I wonder where illegals come in there, and believe me to stay with me.

That's last year I was fishing in this basket. My lore so hard that he literally swallowed a plug. I mean I've never had this happen to me. I mean it was down his stump in his stomach right it was and I thought Mike and let him take this lower interest cut the line and let go and I thought know I've got to get my little about what I did and that left him in a very bad way because usually I leave my fist live well. I put them in the water, hoping that somehow we would survive this trauma and he was kind of flop and my daughter was like that. I can't believe you killed it fish and just as we were discussing all that from the sky from 50,000 feet swoops down the most beautiful bald Eagle I have ever seen was black, but have my head and it it came down Aquila. I gotta tell you just beautifully with his talents could have been 15 feet off the boat he snags at this fish and off he goes and I had no idea we had bald eagles at the lake. Some people say it's an Osprey but I've been close enough to touch it and mapping was Eagle. I mean it was you and since then, on numerous occasions this Eagle knows my boat and occasionally I have fish. Believe it or not, this is not unusual for me to be on the lake and this Eagle comes flying alongside of me and so they say is yeah and he's got this yellow be I mean is not pleasing at the Whitehead and the black is yellow yellow beak and yellow yellow talons.

You really have to see it to come appreciate that man this thing is like right here in beautiful North Carolina where you live, Colorado oh really. Slope of the Rocky Mountain Western slope geographical area like I know I came here from Grand Junction. That's where I move really somewhere in the Western slope do you live a little outside of the little tiny town about three hours south of Grand Junction down by New Mexico. Well it's not that part of the four quarters we are not that far from well for quarters basically and three hours south of Grand Junction. What's the name of the Norwood Norwood, Lake City two hours if you're not very okay. Rosen's not know that area love that area of Colorado that Southwest: how about Durango, will you come here. I've been fishing now but faster than in the Denver area for 10 years in the vacation in that area of southwest Colorado and just love it. Thank you wonderful great people around here. Yes, it's amazing that Gunnison is beautiful is the summer can be as cold as it is in the winter, so if Aquila do is a black Eagle.

What's torque he'll do well acting like given that part kind of a nickname by father Gary black someone's torque you mean it Gaelic and there I looked it up a number of times and none of the definitions agree but it is an old Gaelic name and associated with plan gone and with the MacLeod Lord give the child family name and go the so when you say Gaelic excuse my next set mean Irish, Scottish Scottish. I love you oh God is Scottish. I'm so sorry.

Oh my goodness for almost a what I did see it. The reason I say that is because the name Gilmore was actually Irish. It was Bill Morrow and my grandfather came to understand that the Scots were not big fans of the Irish got Ireland trying to start a colony.

In fact, that's where we get the scotch Irish part of my own and but I gagged I do believe that they were very much at all during that time when they were living there since the Scottish were Protestant and the Catholics. I mean I refer the most part were Catholic and so correctly it was, it was an interesting dynamic. Especially since the Scottish came in with all the money and in the occupied Irish people and so my grandfather just to give the rest of the story. Since I'm a role he must've stolen some Scottish man's horse is a horse thief and we been in transportation ever since he was deported to America unless you have Gilmore's right well we have accomplished this segment known is called in the get the book, now 866-34-TRUTH 87884 who had wrath and showed mercy only your listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com how God takes your writing.

How cool is that someone in Colorado writing a book about the imperialism things and find out more about that Aquila do in her book in wrath remember mercy as well as my neighbor and pastor named Barnes he is the pastor of Woodbine Baptist Church in Mandan, North Carolina. He would love it. He would love if you were in the neighborhood of Mandan next week coming Sunday he's going to be speaking on the book of acts.

He gave me a preview of the sermon, and you don't want to miss it. So if you're in Mandan the day and you're at the headwaters of the Mayo and the dam contested on the price is right. So we got Keith is in High Point he's got a guess for some mercy and wrath. Keep your on kingdom pursuits, which by the way, well five and is holding on.

And no matter what he says stay with me.

I don't want to miss your answer. So it's great always love it when you call Keith so what if you forced well I hope nobody called. Ryan showed mercy. That's the question. Well, I don't know Ryan showed mercy and that will always always show mercy what you know that is just one of the most I do is preach the Bible and led to my own salvation.

So it's extremely important to me, but all my goodness did he show mercy for for Robbie Gilmore through that, because to share the story quickly is. I thought I was a lot smarter than God and I you be shocked to know that I somebody told me. Actually, Norman's appeals that if you read the Bible you know you you will get a positive mental attitude. So I want to sell more cars. This is my answer is in reading the book of Job. I'm getting madder and madder at godlike really your to show off the devil in your to kill this guy's kids. I mean who do you think you are, and I'm asking and I'm just screaming and then I get to what is a chapter 31, all the citizens okay Robbie, you know, since you're so smart want to make it snow one time or you know, put a hook in the Bahamas. If you really think you know what you so II love love love your answer and I'm so thankful that you're going to get a chance to get this fabulous book will still little girl read all all right. That's right.

And we have Christian car guy Peter Christian car guide T-shirts with Jesus labor love on the back.

You will be styling and profiling.

Believe me, that you like you're here and you're both really and everybody a great good adrenaline. Sometimes people leave their power in laughter power and smile.

That's when people can you please Lasko start smile and look at what is well said Keith. Bless you have a great week my friend got like you to all right so we have man all then Charlotte so I am all right, so you can still win the book and I know how much you love especially you, love novel, so very novel character and all done and David King and all that.

When he realized the countdown once again I'm I know I will never lie that David had getting high because you all got now logging last and this is me know and I'll is one of the many voices of adventures in Odyssey as well as Christian car guy theater and she is going upcoming part in the Plymouth progress next week that we were hoping to get out this week that we can get it done, but we will be back next week and and Plymouth progress so I'm very excited to so meet with God is doing in the dam. I love the Lord got it you you think on the little not going out all the places banning people are hearing about the unusual way that is beautiful. Thank you my friend you get the book right.

Oh no, I just cut off Amy so hopefully she will call back because Amy troubles: in the toes that was going on the care we won't miss that. But getting back to Aquila and adventures with Tokyo so you got at least give us the opening deal right here is how does he end up in the Civil War, Aquila. Well older slavery, but they live in Virginia and in their home and their neighbors that or wicked father who could reason for allowing such young children are older teenagers to go with him. The older son would run away to join the Army if he were left behind in the younger son, which is Turkey Hill wouldn't let him go alone so he takes them with the cavalry unit under Jeb Stuart and fight same battles. Of course, is the first Virginia cavalry. All through the war and then what happens to the same family are murdered by a Yankee officer they had surrendered at the battle of Sharpsburg which the Yankees call Antietam and shot them down and catastrophe which basically the book is about and how one recovers from such a thing so you can see this is this is a great book since I am wanted, and you think I want that United Kingdom pursuits.com) order. This is something you can click on it, but then like with all new authors. It just means so much. If you will write a review. I tell them what you think and and given that feedback writing Aquila that would be amazing for vital and I would appreciate anyone there willing it would it would be on all sorts levels for other people to read the book and again you know I think it's so beautiful when God calls us to do something that we can in the body of Christ encourage those that have the courage right to AmTrust to walk into the added venture and in what amounted is really to have you on the show today so Amy combo cotton came back or you have to take her after the break.

I know she can talk about the show since they were this Amy and then we have a very special guest on the line. I can see we have a weather forecast coming from and they don't want to miss that. If you've never heard one of Amber's weather forecast well and we just get it when we come back, so stay tuned. So much more. You're listening to the truth and TruthNetwork.com. Welcome back to where we hear how God takes her passion. Today we have with us author do, but it's okay like it the way we got it in her book in wrath remember mercy. The redemption of and then Pastor Thayne Barnes.

He's the pastor of Woodbine Baptist Church in Mandan, North Carolina and my neighbor's landing so we are so blessed to have Amy combo with the cure is with this.

Amy got a great show coming on the pandemic and children will a lot going on around at how your little one children and highlight me unique bear frame going on better picturing some beautiful Santas come up at 1 o'clock Eastern time and again is live to be able to call in and talk to Amy and her guests thanked Jamie I really really appreciate your doing what you do and tell Boris I said hi, you 25 so we do have a special treat. I promised Andrew is in here with the weather. Andrew United Kingdom pursuits good morning I'm wonderful we don't have a lot of time to gladden just share with us what you got. I will tell her I got for you and I want to miss it as good as it is you turn on the radio so we don't get that feedback okay very good. Now go for okay great point. I showered, I tonight we have we have clear skies alone today.

God bless you. As always, there's only one Andrew and you are he and I will tell Tammy called all right if if you did, here's before enters one of my students there at Calvary's special-needs class and and a beautiful thing right and friends like that thing was right on the money. Yeah, it's hot and it's good to be hotter, it is it is and so Aquila what's the one thing since we don't have but of couple minutes left, that you want to make sure you got said about your book to all yet that's that is is like.

Can you imagine losing your whole family right and and in this battle, and so the title kind of says it in wrath remember mercy not remember that we all learn we can to get you angry at her door just as going on around it are just awful but very a better way. That's God's way message for these times we live in because people seem so angry I mean half of the country believes something in half the country believe something else that it really doesn't matter what they believe, but the there. There is just such a start division that there needs to be some forgiveness that needs to be some healing that needs to be some relationship building so I care will hit an awful salt. I note how many decades it's been going on.

Absolute truth and we have all hearing people trying to avoid that back beautiful thing is he's got a whole book I and there's nothing but truth, the whole thing is truth, and the whole thing is Jesus all one package is like oh my goodness it's right there so beautiful. Well thank you Eli hey were out of time again you can get anything a person's.com. Or maybe you're thinking well have to concern about what they taught in the book of acts right.
