Job chapter 3, Job says this for the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me, I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet, yet trouble came. Father, we thank you for this morning and Lord as we look into this somewhat well-known life of Job. May we find some things that might not be as well-known Lord, help us not to be physicians of no value. Lord I as we urge our people to be encouragers to be blessings to people not a hindrance. I pray that you help us today in your name we pray. Amen. I have to to be fair about going to give a quick history. I know many of you always understand the book of Job in the story of Job in it, and certainly the gist of my message isn't the first two or three chapters, but I got explain that. So if anybody doesn't fully understand what happened in Job's life that they can understand this message. The Bible says this guy named Joe was a perfect man, it does mean he didn't have any sin.

But that's the way God characterized him as compared to the society that he was around. Job was an upright man, he issued evil which means he pursuant evil, the Bible says and Job was a righteous man, and he had a large family. He was a wealthy man had a lot of property, a lot of things a lot of home in the Bible gives us an interesting glimpse into communication that goes on between our Lord, and Satan. The Bible says that Satan came to God and he said, have you noticed your servant Job and God said obviously that I have is a perfect man, he's righteous. He's issued evil. The Bible says that saying so will God. If you let me have a chance at him. Let's prove Job saying basically was saying this, if you think Job is the best you have to offer will they give me a chance and Joan for little while I will see how faithful he stays in the Bible says that God felt strongly that Jordan could handle it and he said all right you can do to Job what you will. There were some rules. He said you you can't kill Joe. You can't kill and that was the one rule and God let Satan loose and Satan comes to this guy.

Job it in one days time. In fact, not even just in one day. In just a few hours time Satan killed everyone of his 10 children. Satan burned down every one of his houses and his buildings and Satan burn his livestock, his goods everything he had and then Satan attacked Joan physically, and the Bible said Job was in trenches pain.

He had boils. Basically all over his body and if you don't ever get a little blister on your finger that is seen as frustrating, even if you try to pop that blister or tear the skin off that blister that that bearskin. It just burns if you get anything in it about us as a Job's body was so full of pain and boils all over his body. The Bible says that an individual individuals that even knew Job when they came and saw him could not even recognize the matter of a few hours. This guy's life changed and he just described in chapter 3. After all, this is happened. This is what he said for the thing which I greatly feared is come upon that which I was afraid of is, in the me saying the worst possible scenario. I could've imagined it would be to lose my family lose my home lose everything my hell to lose it all. Everything I can possibly imagine happened in one day and he says this I was not in safety glass be something probably want to hear worst scenarios you come up with is to not be able to keep yourself safe, but you I get the road and drive on a trip.

My worst scenarios have direct the worst scenarios have in some people in our church have experienced a drunk come across the road and hit you. It would all like to be safe. We all want to feel safe.

We many of many folks are carrying guns and and I like to feel safe to say that a gun when the done Job any good.

He says this I had no rest. I was a quiet yet trouble came noticing thing happened this one going. This is what happened with Job and many would say why would God do that. I don't know Satan is one that didn't, God allowed said you understand it no know we all know the reasons they will God prove Job and Job stay faithful and and you know God taught Job a lot of things and a lot of good commitment.

God did for reason. I understand that it makes sense to me as I'm human. This guy one thing wrong. All this happened to me just doesn't seem fair but cannot tell you this, it would be ridiculous for me to have a bad spirit that got about this when John didn't even have a bad spirit of God in heaven now, so if he's not a problem God. Why should we but is still hard for us to understand everything and don't come to me with all the good things that happen what God was trying to. I know that it distilled unlicensed, it would still be hard for me to accept, but is what happened just go so all this is laying in turmoil. By the way the mouse as his wife came to me she's a want you just curse God and die in the Lord. She said here is so much pain launches going first got baby will go ahead and kill you get out of your pain.

It was modeling his wife will always pick on her. She lost 10 children one day to imagine how bitter you would be if you lost 10 children one day will Job had some friends quote unquote and these friends decided Joe didn't ask him to come by the way, but these three friends decided they were going to come and be an encouragement and blessing to Job another three friends name was Eliphaz, Bildad, and so far, we often joke that one of these men was the shortest man in the Bible, Bildad, the Bible says that his name was Bildad the shoe height so his. He was always follows a shoe. The shoe height. We always save the shortest man in the Bible and that's when he gargled anyway, Eliphaz, Bildad is so far not just to come to make the whole book easy for you since chapter 4 Eliphaz comes to give his advice to Joe in chapter 8. Bildad comes to give his advice to Joe and in the following chapters between each of these Job answers the gives his response in Chapter 11 so far comes and he's going to give his advice minutes after 15 Eliphaz comes back and gives more advice. What a blessing. What a friend in chapter 20 so far comes back and I think is more advice. Chapter 18. Bildad comes back and he is more advice minutes.

Chapter 22. Eliphaz goes back again. 25. Bildad comes back again and have all these things to say. I just did to try to make this all understandable for you all wanting you use some of the words of encouragement that they gave him Eliphaz in chapter 4 chapter 5 even in chapter 22 in chapter 15. This is what he says. The diluted Job, and he said even as I have seen they that plow iniquity and so we can is reap the same. So what he's saying is this, this is your fault. Job is because you got iniquity in your life and I've seen that those that plow iniquity and so we can as they reap that by the way, that is true you plow iniquity and use so we can discuss was going to show up in your life but that wasn't what why this happened to Job. This is what this guy came and told J. Waters Ave., Job you don't all you been sitting in you got some in your life. Obviously that's not right is why this is Avenue give anybody tell you that. Then he says this, behold, happy is the man whom God corrected therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty presage a happy God's correcting you really are you the one that just lost Indians amazingly advice we were willing to give people when were not was went through it only what you say is is why make such a big deal about this Joe God is obviously doing something in your life even said this, he said, for thy mouth letter is not iniquity, and they'll choose just the tongue of the crafty base and showed her not talk and write it and you done wrong and what encouragement this guy is in chapter 15 he says this for vinyl mouth can damage the final lips testify against the verse 13 he says that the turn is my spirit against God, and let out of my mouth all I see in him is judgment, judgment, judgment and judgment.

Eliphaz is there to be a blessing and blessing him all he does is criticize them and blame them for everything.

Thanks for the encouragement, buddy. Then came Bildad by the way, Job had an answer for Eliphaz. He said this so that my grief were thoroughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together for now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea. He said this, if you can take all my grieved. Eliphaz it would be heavier than all the water in the ocean.

That's how heavy this burden is on very Eliphaz was listening. Job also answer to me said this all that I might have my request that God would grant me the thing that I long for even that it would please God to destroy me that he would let loose his hand and cut me off then.

Should I have come look at his phrase and let me tell you what would comfort me and telling always pay him bearing is that I'm going through.

It would be better man, just like we all Bildad showed up. Bildad said this. If I children have sinned against him and he have cast them away for their transgression. Soviet thanks Rachel. Bildad is all Dr. Gaultier children, probably because they did wrong doing God just taking care of things wow would be nice to be as spiritual as these guys would be nice to know the mind of Christ like these guys did supposedly he said this to me said, if thou would seek God good times or before and make my supplication to the Almighty. The sages might not happen if you did a good Christian Job all really.

The Bible says Joe was the most perfect man alive at that time, but there telling him all day.

Why this is habit you should been right with God, way before this of this would've happened to you. Then he said this, if thou were pure and upright, surely would heal waiting for the end make the habitation of our righteousness, prosperous. He said this if you just would've been a better Christian is one avenue you Job answered him and he said this, for he break at me with a tempest, and multiplies my wounds without cause. My soul is weary of my life.

Job said now is aware of all this, but if you're not careful and trying to make a U-turn always want to get this is the advice these three friends are given and this is what Job is saying back to them and they obviously weren't listening. He said my soul. Joe said is weary of my life. Joe set out a lot even be a lie. My life is so bad right now. He said this, I will leave my complaint upon myself.

I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.

I will say into God.

Do not condemn me, show me wherefore thou continues with me. Job said what I would like to know is I just want to know why God is allowing this to happen if I could just understand why this is happening to me then so far comes in by God help us all the way. This is what he said.

For thou hast said, my doctrine is pure and I am clean and eyes, but only God would speak, and open his lips against the will you say is this your arrogant Job you think you're some great God which are not.

Verse six God would show me the secrets of wisdom that they are double to that which is know therefore that God exacted the last nine iniquity deserve. He says Joe you've got what you deserve.

Job said this, if I be wicked willing to me and if I be righteous yet will I not lift up my head was and what Job said folk someone somewhere and I'm almost done. I am full of confusion. Therefore, see thou mine affliction military all right back or get ready to deal with her with the crux of this message. Joe has three friends come to megamall. This advice after the first one he says this I just need some I just need some discomfort. I need some understanding of the cycling committees as I just want to know why God has done this to me. My soul is weary with my life the last guy comes. Job says this I am so confused and his three bodies did was come in and tell him that he had done wrong, try to tell me this is why God did this to you and why are you so down and why are you so discouraged. Once you look if you would just a second region, something Job chapter 11 verse 11 when she would do that if you will.

Job chapter 11 verse 11. This is what so far this is the last bit of advice he gives before Job breaks want you to hear what he said this is so far talking to Joe about God. He says for he know the vein men DCF wickedness also. Will he not been considerate. God sees wickedness. Job, God knows. Vein men was calling in vain.

We verse 12 for vein man should would be wise though man be born like a wild asses call if thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out mine hands toward him, if iniquity be in mine hand put it far away, let not wickedness dwell in the tabernacle, for then shalt thou live by face without spot you a thou shalt be steadfast and shall not fear. Look at me he said all right what you need to get right with God Job fee to clean your heart out you to get everything right because then you can lift up your head and you'll finally be without sin and then this is what he says in verse 16. You gotta get this because thou shalt forget thy misery and remember it as waters that pass away much the government so far comes to Job, and he says this Job you just get yourself right with God, which anybody you forget all this that happened to you. You will remember all this misery that's been on you know want to look up. Me and my God-given eyeballs. If you just lost in children you lost everything you had asked some folks are you gonna forget that day. What is this, excuse me idiot talking about peace and I okay Job you really get over this. I will get right with God. Let me tell you it is in you only remember all this misery you will remember this thing you tell me you lose 10 children you lose your house, your home, your livestock, your everything you have your entire future and your health and your telling me you forget this one day.

That will be okay. Can I tell you something, folks you and I have absolutely no idea what so people go through.

We have no idea what some people go through. How dare we even come up and say hey it'll be okay. Really did happen to you are am I doing here are we not sometimes in an attempt to try to be a blessing doing say dumb things as if we know what they're going through.

As if we see what they should do.

Often times when individual need some comfort for many. Some encouragement you do not preach a sermon doing well is probably God sees them things in your life is not right and is probably God doing this is probably God doing are we, God, do we know that. Can you imagine the ridiculousness of that statement that you know what it is to come to the reader to forget this misery cannot tell you something Job could've lived to 300 years old and he would've never gone to the point that he forgot that day, you can forget a day like that say there are some days I live I will think God wants us to forget because sometimes things we go through a spiritually God doesn't want us to forget God doesn't want us to get over it is to remember it now reason I read that. Can you imagine a guy saying that to a person laying there. Having been through what Job had just been through and this is what Job said back to him and this is where we get our message this morning, if you will you want for anything else to get chapter 13 is what Job said what you know, the same do I know also. Job finally had. She finally… So far.

He says hey when you know I know to. I am not inferior to you.

We verse two. Shortly I will speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God. We verse four but ye are forgers of lies ye are all physicians of no value.

You would altogether hold your peace and it should be your wisdom.

Job says that the smartest thing for you to do is to keep your mouth shut when verse six here now.

My reasoning and hearken to the pleading of my lips will he speak wickedly for God and fall deceitfully for him. We accept his person when you contend for God is a good that he should search you out or as one-man mock of another D so mock him, he will surely review view TV do secretly except personally.

Verse 11, shall not, his Excellency make you afraid and his dread fall upon you, your remembrances are like on to asses your bodies to bodies of clay your piece.

Let me alone, that I may speak and let come on me what will know were going somewhere with this Job looks at him and he says this. You are physicians of no value know that word physicians means and Job in the Hebrew word, it means this the ability to amend the ability to help the ability to cure, but Job looks them and he says this. You are physicians of no value. He says this. You are men that could help and you are men that could have encouraged. But even though you have knowledge you have done me no good. You are physicians of no value. You might have answers but you didn't have any help you might have your advice but you didn't do one thing to comfort me and can I say this to Carl Baptist Church. This is the point hello I'm speaking to you about today. May you and I never be physicians of no value because you and I have the ability to help people. We have the ability to encourage people, we have the word of God. We could do something to help. We can do so. The new encouraged and we have something that people need, but just because we have a people need help hurting. We become physicians of no value. We become people I don't mind telling everybody why they're going through what they're going through, but we haven't done one thing to help them or encourage them. We don't mind giving advice on what they done wrong and we don't mind telling them what we think should transpire, but we are physicians that have done absolutely nothing for them. Job could not have termed it better. You are physicians and that it could have had a chance to help me of no value.

You've done nothing to help me know what you notice what Job says and quickly want to go down through these wicked verse two.

He says this what you know, the same do I know.

Also, I am not inferior to you first thing this morning.

You'll notice on the screen. First thing is this, you got always member we are not superior to anyone look any folks when it comes as helping people giving advice to people trying to comfort trying to encourage when it comes to any kind of relationship we have in church or at work or in family cannot say that none of us are superior to anybody else. All three of these friends will come to come be a blessing to Job.

Jesus probably done a lot of wrong and I am here to help him is like the Lone Ranger riding in the town is on the way know it's not cannot say something. There's nobody here that is inferior. You and you and I are not superior to anybody it be good for us to remember that would Chisum could we think we are good we think we are sometimes when we say what we say to people when they are obviously in a place that they need help they need encouragement they need somebody to care what we often do we talk down to them as if we know more than they do. Even though were not the ones going through what they're going through. I am so sick sometimes.

Over the years of watching parents that had a child that messed up. Went way were did wrong and buddy somebody that had and had a teenager yet. Or better yet some of this never even had a child or somebody that thinks they're God's gift to parenting come over and instead of being a help and incorporate that individual and understanding of their heart is heavy in his party and is bleeding right now.

What we do we write in and we tell them everything they did wrong is apparent, and I tell you that is a position of how you that's not helping anybody you can talk down you can think you know you're not asking everything we are superior to anybody. Job looks at so far, and he says I'm not inferior to you, talking down to me is him supposedly to help me you're hurting me. The second thing verse three. Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God saying things this do not presume to know others motives Noah so far. Did that entire chat will if you would just call on God love you and just plead with him. If you would just be the Christian you should be look at me.

Don't presume to know somebody's motives when you're given advice. Don't just automatically assume you know everything about them. Job was and he says hey I would love to plead with God. What you think of been doing laying here in his bed. I would love to have the desire of my heart with the Almighty 20 think I've been doing it, oftentimes you and I we think we know a person's motives and we come in to try to give them advice and often times is just like these three guys they didn't ask us for it buddy were full of advice are we really were just full of it were not helping anybody don't presume to know somebody's motives. Job said hey I desire to get an answer from God. I desire to be close to God what you think of been doing. Don't presume to know someone's motives folks owe. If we can just get a church that doesn't have one judgmental person and if we cannot charge theirs is not one critical person and not one person thinks they know more than anybody could not person that thinks that the Holy Spirit they know was going on it we would just have a charge with people that just now.

I believe we have the kind of church notice. If you would third thing nearly verse 50 that he would altogether hold your peace and it should be your wisdom. Third thing is this. We need to know when to be quiet. Talk about helping people folks come talk about really be an encouragement really being a comfort can I say. Sometimes you and I what we need to learn the most just want to be quiet when to keep our mouth shut. I'm surprised Job was as nice as he was. He said if he would just hold your peace. It would be your wisdom. In other words, you would be very smart if you would just keep your mouth shut, which, in my terms.

It is a beautiful note up shut backward shingles. I want to say the work is so Mike is I would say if you don't shut up on the knocker block off. That's what I would say but Joe put it very nicely said this. If you would just hold your peace. That would be your wisdom and I say this to Carol Baptist Church. May we always be people that knows when to be quiet.

Somehow people don't need our mouth. Somehow people don't need us to come in and try to fix their problems is if you just hold your peace.

Sitting there in misery what he would've love is for somebody just to come said a friend is to come sit down and say Joe I love you. I have no idea what you're going through, but I wasn't. I love you and I'll pray for you on here and just sit there was no God forum I get to how many times it would've been comforting. If an individual just would not said anything like it and how many times because somebody said something that made it worse intermingled was on the difficult somebody came to try to help and what they said made it worse than help your current Baptist Church. Sometimes people need us to come tell him what we learned and tell him what we think about the Bible and tone sublimity what I think God is probably trying to do. We are not God and we can't tell you who God is and we can't say what I think what God is God, let him be God… Be brothers and sisters in Christ, to love each other and comfort on that say store look at the next thing we verse look at the four thing verse six here now.

My reasoning and harking to the pleading of my last four things is we need to know when the lesson not only do we need to know when to keep our mouth shut, but you know when Joe said, hear me now listen to the pleading of my lips. What he saying is this so far. Any advice that I don't need your not listening to what I'm saying. I'm trying to explain what I'm going through. I'm trying to tell you was so hard about this.
