Enjoy it Sarah but most of all, thank you for listening you for choosing The Truth Podcast Network. This is the Truth Network man up today today today I get the privilege of having a dear, dear friend with me online today. Jim neighbor is so welcome to the Mdm. show Labbe well thank you Brad why it's good it's great to have you and you know I was trying to remember to them will be like to do course towards the top of the shows come to give our our listeners an idea on who they're listening to. And so I was trying to remember how far back to our our friendship extends in and even how we first met in you. You may have more more recollection than I do but let let's do this Tim neighbors got lovely bride Tammy I have spent many a times silver knighting in your home and and administered in your church.

We've done a lot together but it just tell… Just giving him a quick backdrop on on on Tim neighbors who you are until a little bit about your family that are you will complement about how you were breaking was a Boy Scout camp back and why are Rob Lambert and band that after that comfort level with you were gonna come how great it out there and we volunteered to bid out family but not whether it is think about going. Now you are not found in but we've been friends ever spent. I live honestly going home Alabama church. Though it is actually a flight went home Alabama I Tim this is my thought you were like from you like from France, so you might say that they never want to guess you are from and from the South just say something like that love and sweet home Alabama your lovely bride because your lovely bride a lot anyway been married 38 years have a daughter three grandchildren with you know a little bit about and widget attorney Blake Nikita. I have great point for my go play football, bear Bryant course. I'm a big Alabama fan died and that you know the good Lord have humor because as I got a little older and became danger. I didn't grow up anymore. Glasser grew out that okay that for you but I'm walking out that that number like that for a year and decided that football is not funding more not need to get on with my life but got my degree became teacher NECO been administration for several years but I did run and I spent eight years that they contend that goes for Marshall County and then retired 14 and then been doing their homework. Everything that's part of my smile born out of a bad thing is pretty fascinating in terms of you know that you you're walking in education and the impact you've made there in Indiana. We got to know each other. I got to spend time on the roof of your own home in and out with her with your family and getting to know them and in in and actually even done some things you mention speaking at your church been in the men's conference but also some distant different school related events that you had me do it. And part of and I yeah and you've made it a credible impact.

Here's what I've learned and in spending time down there in Alabama in and around some of the cities and travel around some of the cities with you is seems like everywhere I went to sell somebody new Tim neighbors and what whether you had been their teacher or their principal or their superintendent.

They knew you and and and had nothing but kind things to say about use. So you have made your own impact well again I will tell a quick listeners out there that I have Nikita men who are teachers at 1 o'clock.

The pretend and with very impressed very often the man that actually brought crime into the topic. But afterwords I basically had to get out even after glade because I couldn't do any work of all my thinkers wanted to have the fishermen they were all standing in line and all the students we know it was a workshop I like it like that could kick to your office. Think was it like a teachers workshop lowering the bicycle of the First Lady welcome back together, bright and everybody was so impressed with you. The guy just like I could get him go back to work. I do not here so I can get these people doing their job and and and and and they were all wrestling fan which you know some people find that we know it. Not everybody's wrestling fan I get that. So I know they were all friends but that I do remember that I was there was very memorable. It was quite an honor to to address the group of educators, a group of teachers and educators. Of course, for use of this you think so, how many Tim how many years like total in education wet from when you first officially retired, not the interim work that you're doing but from start to finish. Well not work but I will 3030 years and then I've been actually working like a like the doing homework all over 40 years now in education, yet while that's that's amazing in and of itself and commend you for doing that in the end, especially in today's world you know to have an educator like you and anneal you mention interim work i.e. so you retire, but you are in it and I know you never say this, so I'm to go and say you you've been in high demand to I call you the troubleshooter like maybe a counties kind of your wavering in and the like. We need to get Tim neighbors in here to turn things around that you've done that of a handful of times as well, correct. Yet throughout the year 1000 building and that all current bowl of the crew are. I've actually been went and evaluated all of one principles and front office staff off that the back bed that been because of the good Lord ate definitely blessed in my lap give me the opportunity well and so what what would be what would be some of the things like if you if you were to come in and in the say you know district or school district is in assessing a disarray of some sort in in in they bring you into make some corrections or get some things working in the right direction. What will could you give an example or two of what you would maybe have had to do over the last eight years.

Well will start with the 101 or you can file that had fired and they communicate the entire account with in an uproar.

They were very upset and angry.

My firstborn mating that I set down at was actually the boldest interview. Next, the job and then actually hardly mating but it was to pack rain and people standing outside and I were not. So that was my very first board meeting that led into it with the situation where expectations didn't make reality. Reality was they had an off but that just make them short and every day the prospect of everybody in the community was that it was a bad quite what. So I got a win and allowed good people. They are favored with this kind of the rectum and partway, let the pipe homework, fell at back in line getting people like you to come and how give direction condo led by example. We started something dire that I done previously in Marshall County Windstar government every Monday morning with weekly. This code would quickly staff and we did that day that actually got in trouble when I did that market. But that's okay I chose Jason, let me ask a question regarding that this silly and in fact sorted today's modern day right and in all timestamp this Melissa seen the modern-day which were living which you know we can help. We could have a long discussion about taking everyone is a God out of the schools back in the 60s.

In it, and but I'm aware of an organization currently in in Texas that it has actually gotten permission to to go into. I know it's one district to report put to just simply put on the wall in God we trust. And so it seems like God is making his way back into at least some of the school so so is it kinda Tim County by County as far as even presently present day that bad people or certain counties are more open to prayer to to have something like in God we trust on you know on the on the entrance of the school you're walking in or something or how give us the kind of the climate there and in Alabama. Presently well about example, Mark, Rob and we started and we pray for every board make and so there was organization I do with that call freedom from religion that they may have wrote me a letter they may and and fellow but we Are a and we never stop likely love letter to our state and back to our governor at the time complaining that we didn't stop right where we never saw with that but I don't bring yours out in the day. We never adopted and could die because I know that I feel quite never bought a lot left to threaten.

But even when I went back I was in the fire.

We had a local Kurt wanted to do a Carlisle walk around or go to court and I allowed that they found out about that letter so you know that after that laughter that we did calm and it eats so quickly like that, prior out of the loudspeaker before football games. We still always allowed the well is pretty me. I am reminded of the expression there thereby sounds like their bark is worse than their bite or put biblical overtone on that deal.

The enemy prowls around like a roaring lion right and it is what it sounds like it is just yeah in on the sense of my seat with the warfare that were seen on on every level, not just in education but on each and in every level and in Tim, have you had to you know some of this discussion around you know that the different things that I guess some have said and indoctrination into some of the in the school starting that even Eddie elementary age and stuff if you had the combat some of those some of the the present day.

Things that that certain organizations are trying to get in schools is up in much of an issue in Alabama ordered or not so much… I don't quite wipe away don't have an area where I've been involved that I think you would been quite the body project at Renée out, though, right bilberry biblical Bible Belt in this area may feel, most current. Gotcha that's amazing.

Speaking of that, so you got only been in education but you been very involved coursing in in your church and and as an interim and education presently. But you did some some things in the in the pastor's role as well. Have you not over the years. You're listening to Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. Anyway, Facebook, call my new fan page 4 friends and like and follow your listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. A little monster in our county house three years and then God, my wife and my name out and not been back to our church serving our home church weight on bad church for the past seven years. I think seven years and right now Nikita made for them right now I'm actually relating to me at our church.

If you are currently crawling on the platform. Is that what I hear in the playoff know that that part bad now one thing in here can you go that I think you making out in the dogs all did the dogs out. We went now, currently without youth directors I displayed old hymnals I can get started, and I think my wife or my mouth, but you can go to get it rolling, and I know we talked course in the future in the future would be coming back down your way.

You and I talked about bringing that the man up conference which I think I may or may rename the man up intensive what you think about that idea Tom man up in a positive one thing I want you to look at my facial expressions in the wrestling ring right to know I was a pretty intense individual rights so yes and so the same in ministry and then ask him looking forward to cut coming back down, spending, spending the weekend with you and with your man and in their your church and and just you, hopefully impacting once again impacting some lives and in and in that respect is while in so and by the way I do remember now that you brought it up that fit very first men's conference that that I spoke at.

I do remember that and so that was it a good memory jogger there. Now let me ask you this to her talk first about education talk about about ministry. We got the ball to firm for a while we were involved course, this is kind of in the world of education nutrition right so we did a lot of things together in regards to helping people reopen a lot of different doors so because Jessica said I think of anybody and everybody knows Tim neighbors down there and and sweet home Alabama and what you blunders when we had a lot of fun doing that today we did a lot of seminars and have a lot of meetings and just hoping people on that healthy path to write you finally work on my work, I finally have taken a little bit better that I might have dropped quite a few.

I eventually work out now. It definitely helped that at good time doing that making yet, I wave and we did the quit together back in the Lord a while back you wait wait out way back when and which which you know we we got. I ended up doing helping in facilitating and organizing ministry approximately about 60 of those in what was that tells just to give us a minute on what how the hell that might've impacted you in and make any lasting impressions on you very openly. That was the most powerful day and so they would cry you know we I wanted to think we talked about is been on the Mount don't think they when you leave your home. You laid your war and you drop yourself bounty you have no contact with any you're out to work with 23 other man. You're just worshiping God from 7 o'clock in the morning a lot of time to create email and it was just out. It was at that time, you know, I've got no money about how ministry and that that black the lot, starting from a collimated that when I came back home. I make that commitment that I'll never coming home front of wow down has been working this big compared when you get back home that don't have lighter and I'll never forget that when the war was black broken leg and I felt exactly what was going well yeah okay I see you sitting there a reason Minna comforted that the warfare is real. It is legally is real and and and so, especially for someone like yourself you know is on the path of wanted to draw closer in your relation to the Lord and you willing to go to a camp like that and really dive in deeper in your relationship with him and in him equip you and empower you to go home and fight the good fight right to fight the good fight of faith and so I mean it in and so we come was a full circle about your bat Lex and I are back in Royston Georgia doing doing man camp now so so what once was, was classed where were now doing these camps are man camp in a similar similar type format. Although different curriculum and different teaching moments in it and things that were empowering, and equipping men to do through through teaching and training, sending them home to to impact her family impact her community and and if there out marketplace where wherever the Lord might leave them so I appreciate you are you bring that up and in mentioning that in so for our listeners out there that may be something that you know for the guys expression. We have a lot of Lotta ladies. A lot of women that that listen to the show to him and just want to know what mentor talked about on the man up shelf and I've had women on the show so weak one day will get Ms. Tammy on the show with us here and but what I see may give you see that's why love have a limit on the show much perhaps different impression of of what's been said but that said that said, so we get a whole variety of of listeners and him certainly love to get all their feedback, but with a special regard to a camp like Sgt. Santos you like it a lot. I like that's a wife's lifetime.

So what was that experience so you know Tim returns home. You were there any changes with did he implement anything put into action anything we taught him and utilized at the camp and many, many times he answers yes and then a week.

Still, we see marriages restored. We seen relationship between fathers and sons and fathers and daughters, and just all kinds of amazing testimonies before the listener out there there's an interest there will go to go to cool off.net go to that website and in just a click on the link to man camp and you can learn more about about its and potentially we may see you one day in Royston Georgia and so I will
