I mean literally wait to hear the story today of the mass St. not the St. what the mass St.'s day to man up, welcome back Matt, I'm excited today to have on the show with me ready for this. The mass St. yes you heard that right. The mass St. to get that out right a.k.a. also known as Chris Whaley Curtis welcome to the man up show today and you died. None of the bunch and reviewed your none of have excited me more than this opportunity to talk with you. Thank you so much. Raven will man I appreciated.

I can only imagine you are in demand and with with the your story were given jump into that here in and talk about that for four listeners. I know you're coming to us from the sunshine state of Florida right right just outside the Orlando area called Winter Springs, Florida, and it is absolutely beautiful in Florida. Well II enjoy my time in Florida. Depending what time of year it is. I'm not big into the heat and humidity is much as I am the sunshine and the goal for the ocean and the beaches that what I grew up in Florida without air conditioning. So okay you know it's been said out of this. I guess there's some truth to this. What what really exploded the whole South was that very thing was air-conditioning today. What's once air-conditioning was invented by me this South it will understand exploded and everybody then wanted to live here and enjoy.

I know for me coming from the great state of Minnesota. Having grown up in and blizzards in you know 32 inches of snow on a 24 hour. When I came to the Carolinas.

I just kind of fell along with it. I'm like yeah okay this is for me absolutely so so let's for our our listeners out there. Chris to give a little quick back drop on Christmas or you just may seem that you grew up in Florida but you still little bit of a back story. There to to that. Yeah I I I grew up in Florida. My dad was a long-distance truck driver and 1/5° red neck and my my mom actually will go with and show growing up.

I would constantly in and out of the hospital six mostly with the pneumonia in the fourth grade I had polio barley supply – had to learn to walk all over again and I had a godly doctor that really was the guy that got you save me physically and he's going to got me going to the and got me. I a lot of things that I should've been doing for my body and show that was just a great great thing to happen. Reduction in him and my wife and then my mom even though she grew up in a Jehovah's Witness just had some questions that needed answering and her dad refused to do that. He said it cannot. You know, and not my mom and dad married Lukashenko Florida one day a pastor without knocking on doors and knock on our door. My mom been praying for somebody like you for long, and she invited a man ask questions of the portion of the quarry lab.

She prayed and asked Christ to come into her life and that that was the beginning of the spiritual heritage of our family and the just great great things that God did in my life physically helping me and spiritually saying that.com with my mom that later came to fruition in my freshman year in college freshman year because we bring to mind something that a lot of my listeners are very familiar with Chris that the man X Lord I facilitate the sensors around the spirit, soul and body. I mean the importance of what you just highlighted the importance of taking care of our physical bodies because they are the temple of God, right, the temple of the right houses, the Holy Spirit, so it is important for us to take care of these physical bodies while we have them until we one day that new glorified body which I'm looking forward to one day, but in the meantime, the D the mandate to take care that physical body is a what what a blessing to have a godly doctor, the Lord directed a godly doctor into your life. The cross your path and then use this a lot on that level. On the spiritual of its it's quite interesting that that you know she's got your mom's got questions. Dad's not willing to answer them. You don't need to know and and yet God in his sovereignty sends a pastor knocking on doors which is kind of a lost art.

If you will write. I think it's a case data. I mean, there's probably still some pastors that do go out and knock on doors, but my guess is, not many do that anymore, but praise God this pastor knocked on your door and answered your mom's questions and she surrendered her life to Jesus, that's amazing.

I I was a little bit confrontational because I have in my Sunday dolphin and Montana wrecked that world taking a Scripture, whenever you are a drug baby you would drug the church that yeah yeah when I was 16 I met a young lady in church that Jewish all my heart and I never plan to go to college. My dad had 1/3 grade education, seventh grade education. Education, public poster, my household while at this young lady that I met grew up in poverty should not live in poverty. I'm going to get an education and she went to a Christian college on saltwater and the only reason I went to collect which all her and I fell down yeah I followed her down there and she took me to church to establish strict West Palm and I heard Dr. Jeff Moody pre-and English rock my world would change my life. Then my freshman year in college on a Wednesday night September 1973 I got down beside my bed and prayed and asked Christ to come in my heart that which the of the greatest day of my life that day of accepting Christ into my heart so you know I went to college graduated I felt the call of God in my life to become a pastor, but don't just want a lot of positions open for guy 22 years old graduate from college. I had to do youth ministry and I shucked her to get started.

I was world war.

They were not my call to battles out there but hey okay but I you know I did. It had a bad experience wife and I work back living in central Florida and she was teaching high school plant that will monitor and I was just going to give every outing the shape of my life and not one day I'm looking at the Tampa Tribune and I saw the spaceship wanted professional wrestlers and I jumped up out of my Street. I ran over to my wife, who was grading papers and I showed her what what I was looking interest, rolled her eyes Grading papers that I put a bag together and I drove over to Tampa. I walked in and there was one of the greatest heels now ever watch a kid growing up, the great Waco and soak up to got to train under the great Waco and beginning of my time in professional wrestling. Just awesome okay I love every minute I hope all old Holland Holland you don't get too far ahead of me here. Chris is just obviously that's what ties into my introduction. The mass saint when you talk about that but let me let me just go back for more because your your journey here is pretty amazing as we just talking about the pastor knocking on the door. Your mom coming to Christ you going 80s I guess you got a real jewel by dragging you to church on Sundays by correcting them wrong, she met a young lady who who beat in church became UIC followed her to college to see obscene did grip your heart sick grab hold of your heart had your heart in her hands right if you follow her to call is to say the same same gal right. You better know whether it was okay and still together, we celebrated 47 years on May 2, just a couple Mondays ago, while 47 years of marriage.

Congratulations on that
