Taylor Robert Robert Gibson, L hate Dante Gorelick okay yeah expressed to Ricky Ricky Robert you got in my life and Andre the giant. Wow, now I got ripped Marina 1 pound that was really neat Russian nightmare address of the resident.

I sure did Nikita go up front Royal, Virginia at least once in one of the time I so you felt the wrath of the Russian sickle. I think the now well hopefully dog but you got a pretty yeah had a pretty storied 19 almost 20 year career in and then I know some ways you know might not remember, you know some will I know you have a lot of YouTube videos out there and and and I said I said this many many times shocked that it was guys like yourself and Tommy Angel Jean Lee Gannon and Ricky Nelson and others who George South to really it wasn't for you guys all really want the that the fans listeners understand the was it for you guys. I like I at least this is my perspective, I wouldn't have the career I had, because you guys ago on television with us week after week after week and just make us look like a million blocks well that people from England. M. C. The number one.com because you are number one you're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com.

All that was very yeah that be encouraged in humbly and encourages a type wall and you know I mentioned in the opening you know three time cancer survivor course that false.

We told therefore story on on the man up show some people just can have to go listen to to that show the man up show with Chuck Coates and and get the full powerful story of how you have overcome your and overcome her in many many ways. Chuck and it being a three time cancer survivor, but I want to touch on something slightly different on on the Q&A before we move on to your questions for me. Your foster parent. We are like an hour, yet we plan.yet until that just to take a minute or two, though, until our listeners. That story because this mean foster care is is so critical and important to you to know for two children tell the story we read cookie and 2011. My ex-wife had had for misusing eon for children, three sisters, the foster care and we were contacted that doctor foster care was not where on our radar like not end up for my customer law in one of the note.

We would take one of the girls. They were three separate foster old enough, the questions you have. My business or the other end of it, but my wife stepped up that will affect all three come on her like crazy, but we did and you had no children yourself. At that point or whatever we be about your pogrom will gather 29 okay so we were in connectors and we are ready and thinking will be temporary what you mean transparent because of the time you don't like you to be raising amino help and I thought will take a man in your bed.

The right direction.

Although they were aged seven, eight and nine sisters back to back to back in elk we found out after year that we could probably benefit if we got a license, and we end up going to foster your foster life and then you have it, but nothing because we had no idea we were into it. I don't mean that back is such a blessing and Nikita in about 11 years had I counted one time that the character long-term. Short-term, we probably had.

I think 17 to 18 placement and got every yoke, every kid special. Every kid has a story that all colors we had all yelled everything. You don't just take advantage thought it got to give them the big questions you start to pray that you been to that opportunity because that's one reason was that with it. Hopefully get beyond the kids you with a good friend who knows what right. That was the main goal so we look back now in a long story short we can keep the three girls. They were alumni placements are still with us to have a mark. Teenagers actually get a late don't you let me keep making out and the only 24, 21, and she's moved back and doing her own thing. In the old one is lightning if you got first grandbaby and you yeah that is cool I thought it was wonderful understatement. I know I only know too well yeah yeah that's where we are now doing their thing in the Borat war think that the war realized it was a God thing with the cancer and surviving dad knew Chuck because I just hear you know I get here and God has been more than gracious to send you that in everything I do owe him to get the glory for it at this writing. Children are biologically mind that's fine telling my story. That's fine. You will gamble and that we don't feel the Holy Spirit working degree will not hinder what you're trying to figure it so that's what I'm doing while well kudos to you and and your bra I listening to the truth and TruthNetwork.com. I will be sure to check out the man up show now available on television broadcast and go to MorningStar TV.com or the troop radio network. Check out your local listings or better yet, download the Truth Network app today. You're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com all those children that that you have sown seeds into right. That you have really who knows how many you, you're probably not of course get to know until the day use the days that you reach heaven on how many of these children that you've open your doors to open your home to an and poured into shock in you and your wife and the impact you've made in many of these children's lives. I'm sure who, as we know from foster care a little bit about foster care and that other friends you've done this similar type thing and in how how you have impacted their lives and in the difference in ripple effect of differences that will make so immediately here every so often we hear back from like I think there like to thank you for taking me to think or talk you talking 10 years that I might yet be not years old and right base data foster under 12 were adopted by another family. You document good and help us to purchase through that we hear back the children that that's a blessing coming you get something like that. Not not meaning what you and me.

I got nothing got well you do you any less of a willing vessels and that that speaks loudly and in and of itself and it really makes a statement and an even for the listeners out there.

You know whether you are in foster care are not in foster care or a part of foster care men Chuck and congratulations to you brine so let's do this.

It is the Q&A we call often is an opportunity for you to ask me some questions. I mean we could go on with more more more your story and and I know would really bless those who listen able, let's get to your quote what what are some questions you have for me lab my guy or not. All I know you wrong, we met 1990.

Remember to work at your gym really got to know you come to my wedding. Your friend. I've always wondered, UK: how hard I heard all the stuff that melts burnout. You live your Nikita 24 seven.

How talk was that restaurant for him at wherever you are doing other than the ring and sleeping that that character yeah I know this terminology at the time it interesting looking back. Chuck is I just did what I had to do you know why I meet them, my mindset was a cave on a really get this character over. This is what I'm when I have to do. I meet Jim Crockett and asked me to legally change my name but I did even asked me to study you know Russian and which I don't speak it fluently.

For the record really don't speak it at all, but I can count to 10 and Russian hub but you know why I just took it upon myself in the in the terminology I would later learn is a method acting right not to go to acting class or acting school or anything else and that is far as that goes, but I I just in my mind, Chuck. I project myself into that role into that character thought if I want to get this character over. This is what I'm going to have to do it and so I just took it upon myself to anywhere in public or anywhere I went that I was going to be in character and and that's what got I guess the character over and I guess to my credit, even all these years later right 2079 tell you 30 years later. Whatever it's banner or longer, you know people. I still run into people goes so you're not really from Russia.

You know, so I guess it's good you know, as a complement to how I get character over very much so that you may believe me well and and you know so was it hard it honestly, really, I don't really wasn't hard at me just I just mindset is just what I did the hardest I tell you this. The hardest part was, was once I made a decision to walk away under my own church to retire, so to speak, from wrestling was how do I phase out of that that was heart that was harder to phase out of it that it was the phase into it fact it took me three years post wrestling to phase out of the accident and the voice in 1990 when I worked are still mechanical in character. Yeah, yet we are customers are are your for you know right people realize that there yeah yeah yeah you know I was in the health like like a 10 hours a day. I was in character weather was working people loud or or writing up, you know, nutrition plans or anything else out character so crazy right yeah man that's you for keeping it real. You will I appreciate know, I know many have said the expression is you know carefully where is Kay Fabe right. They said my aunt Minnie was a bright, irate credit there at the top is one who who kept Kay Fabe more than probably anyone else released one of the top you're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com out of me to bring me vinyl tile, carpet right now number one thing this is Nicole and I want to thank lemons carpet for supporting my new show men on Saturday afternoon at 1230 on the truth that were you're listening to the Truth Network and TruthNetwork.com. I wonder good money and a lot of figured out yet how I that's question yet another one yeah what would be starting factor when you when you gave it all to the Lord. We got you what I can do this no more with the church.

A preacher ran printing turkey at work. Norman always wondered what was the story of when I came to know the Lord wanted yeah what you see this great question and effort for me so setting up in Russia. I think everybody I'm hoping most people by now. I figure that out okay except Russia but I also did not grow up in church. That's not to say never went to church but but I didn't grow up in church.if I did frequent church are looking back it was for the wrong reasons will going all out but was it for the right reasons. That's another story for another time, but so wasn't that I you and I have that attitude that mindset when I did go. I can remember even like like once I got married and ended in a got it. If you want to see adopted two children of my own just to start with before. I had two of my own and raised all four of them as my own. You know like we should take these kids to church and or whatever, but it I would like all good man on the church wants is your money that I had that like a mindset that attitude right to talk about his morning slot just want your money, you know. But all that said, once I I left wrestling officially left wrestling made that decision and I met a Christian couple through other business contacts and soften yeah and I was just a divine moment. I was on this path, Chuck of of what's life hold next for Nikki to call off so part of my stories and I was still set free and delivered from drugs or alcohol. Already there because I wasn't really into any of that United spent time in prison or any that it was just I was like I'm successful. You know what this wrestling career began in unfulfilled somethings still missing.

And through that couple that I met I restart one as a helmet to be a church. I'm like, I'll be to church on Sunday the like, okay, great. And I never been to the church before walking to the doors, looking back it was just something different than the other church had ever been in units of the Holy Spirit. I can look back now and see where was just the wooing of the drawings of the Holy Spirit and then come the invitation.

At the end of that that service that they have this nobody here that someone here that anyone here that's never surrender their hearts given their life to Jesus. We want to provide that opportunity for you and it was an aha moment for me was like I've never done that is not that I didn't know the story about Jesus because I'd heard it before. That fact that from a dear friend J.

George South saw tracks lay down you know, and in locked items and dressing rooms.

As you well know. Anyway, and so that was my aha moment I've never done that and I was just wound to the altar to surrender my life and 17 October 1993 and and truly truly encounter Christ in, and life is never been the same since that decision has always been a better process, but nevertheless, life is never been the same. That's all that happened in the coming what you ordered you to help you talk to them actually are in heaven I've ever met. Right and opportunity you had your experience with Christ in payment of rent for their body. Note wonderful wife feel very fortunate, as is as as having the opportunity now to to be a voice and in a wrestling being a platform to to lead others to Christ. Your luck slogan.

I co-facilitated a cam call man camp, you need to get you there sometime. By the way, I think you be blessed by it, but and I co-facilitated a cam call man camp. I do all these conferences all over the country one day conference call man up and so I feel very fortunate to to take the career that God gave me, and now give it back to him use it for his glory, and whether it's professional wrestlers, wrestling fans, or anyone else that that I come across so thank you so appreciate that. That question, what else you got another one on your wonder what your favorite venue directly Baltimore Arena Baltimore really click on that answer that with full well I've been asked to before, but I but it also it and even pride.

But when I think back on it, you know.

Just then the next question might be why write why Baltimore Arena, Niger, addressing all of the jobs to Greensboro Star cade I'm in Charlotte I mean look I did the turning Charlotte right where one from the most kind wrestling, you know, the baddest of the bad to becoming one of the superpower with if you you'll email Laura taken Kim deal, but with dusty rose right so it the Great American batch of Ric flair, the best-of-seven winning match number seven, which I know you and you saw me were Russell magna managing that's right right so yes yeah you saw was Russell in a chain matchbook but you winning the best.

So Charlotte was a big time reasonable was down there many big dollars but one in the Crockett cup with dusty rose as the superpowers, the today tag tournament in Baltimore magnum's return, post accident, his first weekend wrestling so Baltimore carries a special place in my heart that Matt will purposely that that was you want to talk about and that was not stage that was not planned.

You want to talk about the camera being at the right place at the right time will issue the writing got to be the right place right time.

Will that night the camera was just the way that that that chain kinda slithered if you will, out of the rain couldn't could not have been any better set that up for me. So not only that Arena that night across the country. TW turned on only yelling at me determining if that actually get the opportunity asked Tony should Bonnie this because I had always heard she was asked not Tony should Bonnie and and Jim Ross JR numbing Gordon, solely are some great announcers in professional wrestling right gorilla monsoon Jesse Ventura, many others, and in Tony has has no done color and commentate it on many many legendary matches right I mean whole cold to go right on the list. They asked and they said you know out of all the matches that you covered what got them biggest pop in your career, and he said the night Nikita coal off turn and came to dusty's aid and in the superpowers informant you want talk about something humbling and incredible document that in and Tony verify that he said that is a true statement.

I did say that you're listening to the truth and TruthNetwork.com Peter co-op and I am here with a huge announcement like like a big announcement man up men's conference. MorningStar ministries portal South Carolina August 25-27. You think that's always a way know not to soon to sign up. What a lineup of speakers we have the benefit of David and face All-Star NBA All-Star how would his speaking world wrestling champion Lex Luther Chris Rick Joyner divorce commander Gen. Gen. Jerry Boyd hired.

Register today is live start events start.com/man all registered, and you will want to miss your listening to the network and TruthNetwork.com we have time for one morning, I got you got no more. Another point I probably can remember we went together a lot. I remember Nikita. I never saw you your cooler chicken.

I wonder how many dollars you made over the years, you know, I've never been asked that question before, but mainly because nobody's been in the car with me and travel they might not well nobody on the on the program. Anyways, they might not know that incredibly great guys. How much money did I say you know I don't know and I will say this as I did make anywhere.

I made some decent money wrestling but honestly I know I walked away before is as Lex said lesson one family where it lectures on record to say when he heard I was leaving wrestling with such an idiot because a moron what you doing leaving focus. I left before paper viewed all the big explosive contract. Guys want to make tens of millions of dollars right. I turned a lot of money down in deciding to walk away with no regret. By the way, looking back only because of the Lord's allow me to do since then, but that's had I we guys have busted my chops about that. The white and red igloo cooler right path with all kinds of goodies gives gives you know I was. Here's the deal so that this is a talk I'm preparing to get rated you from poverty to prosperity.

Some who don't know the story. They'll just have to go it will in time to go into it today. Notes have to go by.

The key to a tale of the ring redemption off my web cycle of.net and get the full story.

But you know because life started for me in the projects the Minneapolis Housing Authority projects, the ghettos of Minneapolis with no dad, no money, so that's the poverty side of it not become a world champion wrestling. That's the prosperity side of it and add along the way, I made sure if you want to say I pinched just about every penny I could not knowing how long my career might last or or when an injury injury might end my career which it didn't. But it could and so I just Chuck, I just had the mindset, manometer, pinch every penny in and and bill for my future. And so that's what I did, so I can't give you an actual number how much I saved but I tried to say but every little bit I could setting up for my future and also try to keep me quite happy to have good food there was in it so you know packing cans of tuna, spring water and fresh Bakelite baked potatoes and chicken and bagels light.

Like you said I me I was pretty pretty pretty pretty adamant about all of that so that that route, I would pick a lot of stuff… Do Nikita might not like men.

Good idea because I had an influence where that that's awesome. It for all those listening out there in the end it in the in the listening world hey it's it's not about. Here's what I learned. Chuck is not about how much you make it's about.

It's about how much is it really it's about what you do with how much you make. Now how much she makes some unfortunately you knows too much month at the end of the money because they over they overextend themselves and overspend and just be mindful. Just be mindful with with whatever you learn to be a good steward of everything that that God gives you right back where I so what possible you know why we are out of time for today but were we to get you back on again another time or whether it's on the man up for the Q&A okay.

What appreciate the time to Chuck Coates, legendary Manna professional wrestling, three-time cancer survivor foster parent amazing story.
