I've become friends over the years, the ESA predominantly a marketplace guy, but in addition to that, though he is moving into the world the ministry, but I want to bring bread want to bring welcome to the show. First of all like you to get and want to bring you in because I just fascinated by your story, you know use you email me some some your back story and the more I read it I was like okay Scott, I have read on the show and some I'm glad you're here today we're just going to dive in. If you will or or jump into to some your story out. I was as I was thinking I was looking at at some of my notes and some of what you sent in and I got this at at a time.

At a time in my life when I had no direction pause right there and say for the listeners out there. I think for some of you maybe many of you, I don't know Brad stories going to be relatable to you, you're going to be able to relate to his story, if I just pause right at a time in my life when I had no direction. Now stop right there at the top of the show and say that might be you even right now you feel like you're listening the shell go. I don't feel like my life has any direction will by the end of the show and Brad story. I think you get.

I think your eyes will be open up believing that praying for that but goes on to say that only look I only look to to to make a living for my family.

I felt empty and alone. I search for careers that could be financially rewarding and enjoyable. I struggled after working for a number of large companies that had very little concerns for their customers.

Other than the amount of their checks so I decided to open my own business is… Stop right there. Brad and and for listeners out there. What went when was the what, what, what time period of your life was a how long ago was that what time period of your life, was that I was back in 1999, 1999. I just had my first son born and the company I was working for was just just gruesome with it the amount of lack of morals that they would put up with just two just to have an income whether it was lying to customers or Chino technicians. They were all about numbers at any cost of the bottom line bottle. I was numbers. This automatic profit didn't show. I'm guessing and in so so putting in that opening part of your story so you can have as you said you use concerts for careers in Canada bounced around to at a number of large cups, he kinda found similar things at some of the other ones of me. Maybe not exactly the same right right not know exactly the exact ways but that very similar in the fact that it all came down to just how much money customers were number there. There was very little concerns whether they were young, elderly, handicap fixed income did matter. It was all about the technicians had a specific dollar amount they had to do everyday in sales. They have a cold. I had a query letter meet this quota Aurel job.

Unfortunately, okay, okay, so you kinda get she can get fed up with that you're bouncing around it and and you make a decision to open your business, I had the biggest thing is not my first son was localities cut so his formula was just a strain on us but a new had a plumbing license had danced around really had looked for something away from the field bottom with the skills I had in the cleaned up gnome business jumped in and said okay finger swim at some savings. I thought I was doing it all in the house but things were happening in a great way my family was was take care of, and we just grew the first two years, we grew exponentially and it was a it was his prize. But back in that time it was all about what I need. It was everything I did. I was responsible and taking credit credit for everything. If the rain come. It was because I did some right Jessica.

So you see, so she launching your own business and that's a big step for me to go from what you might see 70 working for corporate America and then stepping into the world of of becoming an entrepreneur and you know self-employed from being an employee to become self-employed. This is a big step in as you said to be arrest, but you make that jump. And in those first couple years you seen some some incredible growth.

Your high not one point he came you'd like to hire some employees so you receive that kind of growth. Yes, yes, but I think I went from just being myself to have five people working for me. Within the first year and 1/2 and wasn't really prepared for the growth didn't have the training that have the knowledge to handle it so it's kind of all seat-of-the-pants and for the most part worked out, butter the relays. I couldn't explain what worked out but but in the right right oh and and I know even along this this journey. As I said earlier, you know, looking at some your story even in the midst of this, you you because you said I felt empty.

I felt alone set. Fast forward about seven years and then in your words, it it all. It all comes crumbling down and not in not only the business but even even your merit just all else comes crumbling. It was a I blamed everything else except you took the credit when things are going right okay but when everything started falling apart as everybody else is else does the best you put tremendous strain on wife and I will actually look at separating up time and just one boy and one boy. Okay and that we had another one lessee generated come only okay and so we struggle through that and in one year, we lost everything we had been multimillion company and in the following year we drop to barely making ends meet while it's okay.

It will say talking currently not a really different game we almost closed will most closed doors because of debt and just low income while okay so you do so at this point your Camry, what, what's that mean what's going on and I know you said your life up to that point it all a bit really is in a sense all been bid about you and write everything that you could do right right right within your own power right in and I like while Selleck which is but it's like things going right to take the credit when things go wrong, was everybody else's fault. I'll bet you I bet you there's a listener out there that could probably really wanted that that is probably either been in that same situation or may even be in it right now to be in a situation right now right so so things are crumbling apart and and then something happens. Jesus steps in and things begin missing Ashley's without my knowing I was like going to church at the time I knew there was got.

I wasn't following I wasn't the I wasn't reading.

I don't think I've ever cracked the Bible since I was eight years old usually grow up in church or anything I've heard Charlie were about 12 and just felt like George okay butter off doing your thing off doing my thing as a let's say nails build my testimony. We played ball. We drank heavily and we were just softball league underwent a softball league.

Drink it up so we set out and we we just played ball all day all night ethic. We were playing about 1230 in the championship game and a good swing the bat and my bicep blew out and it basically, I didn't know where the pain was struck by lightning. I fell to my knees and just dump. I looked at mass of the chaos of Yellowstone will happen, and then I realized it with more data.

I had to continue playing the game for another full inning with one good arm and played second base of reactive position butter. After that I sent my wife a picture of me in an Ace bandage and she said yeah, whatever. Probably going about 1 o'clock in the morning, butter with went home got the got looked at. You recovered and one fast forward from from that point right there to 2016 and tell me from from the things I just described. Fast forward to something that happened March 27 27th 2016. What what got you to that place.

March 27. That was the beginning of a new life wife and I struggled. We were last ditch effort will try this new church outsole online and I was very complacent whatever you want to.

Leave those old since it that old life and buried in dad and raised to new life SI think it had to pour the water out. It was so dirty it opened my eyes and it had to reflect on all the times that God has handed my life that I had taken credit for Anna. It was really I was an amazing day. I'll never forget it. I'm sure that's it was a new life. For me from watch you for March 27 when when you went when your hand was raised elderly say that it was your hand was raised in. The following week coming the transformation of a new life. Yes while and so so that wasn't March 2016 so so what what what transitioned like with the business with the marriage. The things begin to then turn around with that the business was still tough.
