This is the Truth Network call for questions and answers they would call off the welcome back to another edition of the show is such a joy to have this man in the studio with me today I would say he needs no introduction but I want to give them an introduction. Nevertheless, Rocky Wegner, dear friend of mine many many many years and Rocky welcome to the amount of show. I'm glad to be here to keep them well and and you know the tagline is is time to man up and you are you personify that tagline. Rocky what I mean by that is, you have such a phenomenal story. I had to bring you back in the studio to share some of not only your story, but there are stories that that you experienced it on starting with a something that's not typical and that is you came to the to the faith. At age 62 of my right yes sir, 862 which which is not typical. I mean, you know, we've heard the stories of the older somebody gets the more hardened their heart maybe gets the more jaded people get and so it's it's it's hard and as an evangelist.

I've asked witness the first-hand, you know, I just administered not long ago on on Sunday night revival service and this will 1314-year-old girl Rocky that came up after service and they said she has something she wants to tell you it was obvious she had been crying and as she said I give my heart to Jesus tonight because you're preaching and you guys like to copy the glory right it's it's the Holy Spirit is Lord drawing.

She was noticeably touched her heart was touched. She searching 14 years old so you're 62 years old and and give our listeners just are quick synopsis of what brought you to that point of age 62. Because we may have sent others out there, 50, 60, 70 that have yet to surrender their life to Jesus.

What brought you to that decision, like a dog about the one I gave my testimony at turtle my mom. She's nine years old today.

When I got saved, you know she she prayed for all of us. There were five of us children, but she she prayed for. She constantly prayed for us from the time we were born and it's almost like dedicate and child at church when they're young Loretta's hand only from the get go out this straddle the fence, all the years I've been in church several different times and I just you know group Derek Annapolis and what you know, just friends and we we had places it would go and hang out things like that but I always knew that my dad told me one time Lisa Rocky if you do something wrong and you you you know you're doing it before you do it you just know in your heart what's right what's wrong and I straddle the fence for a long time. Nikita been in church. Like I said in an out and there were several times when had a chance to go to the altar not just turn my back on Jesus and I just didn't live rock for the longest time and finally it with sin. When everything in my world with chrome and I just heard a voice or the Holy Spirit or the Lord was Dale Mayer ever how you want to say it but that particular day on 723 of 17 the Lord said rock if you don't come in late today I'm done with you. And at that point. This I did not have enough of the life that I was living in playing games with the Lord and when I accepted Christ that day and when that Holy Spirit went out you not to play ball, said it was like a error, some going through your heart on the rod. Then there was no doubt about it.

I knew exactly what happened and that I'd gotten saved and from that time on my whole life been different.

I can hardly believe I was the same way it went well. We can talk about that and which you bring up it interesting illustration is not. I've known you for quite a few years prep prior to that decision at age 62 and I and I would say we have conversations you and I would like to travel for business or just in the in the truck together doing some things you know over the years at would you that if somebody had asked you prior to 60 tonight. I know you city straddle the fence been in and out of church. Would you have said if some is said to you prior to that decision at age 52 to Rocky.

Are you a Christian. But what would your answer probably would've said something like it. I believe in Jesus or something that a fight right but if somebody would've point blank asked me if I was saved I probably would've told no right right because in and out is what I want the listeners understand that there is the others. There's that straddle the fence, there's people that that are in and out of church, yes, will it was like this right here when we were doing when I first met you and and I was hanging around with with some of your friends.

Marty Cox comes to mind. These are is a good friend of mine modified him in my sons in business together. Now, my skin great family but I was hanging around with you guys and I was I was pretending to be somebody. What I would leave these meetings of these places would go and then I'll be back. Same old you know things that I that always did and how and when I say I was straddling for someone straddling the fence because I was playing games and I knew in my heart that maybe I go to church and when I got out of church.

I acted different Monday to Saturday but not going to church and not be you know, a church guy or whatever, but your spirit, and then the week without it had no did bear no fruit student didn't you know you just said what I want to say I did what I want to do and there. There were there was no change there were no heart change I got a feeling Rocky and and I think as others and listening to the story that perhaps there may be some conviction coming upon some listeners and and/or others. You can identify what you're saying couple words use the word pretend and the word popped in my mind as you were saying I going to church on Sunday and the word façade. You said playing the game, and I'm guessing I'm guessing there's others out there that either have done the same thing Rocky or or even right now are doing that very thing. I'm reminded quick story reminded of my uncle. My father shared with me. One time I never met my uncle. He grew up in Nebraska in him is him.

His brother grew up in church and his brother, my uncle worked on a golf course in high school and to your point. Yes, he turned his back on Christianity because of the hypocrisy in the double standard of seeing the deacons and elders act the way they acted on Sunday morning were in church on Sunday but how they acted out on the golf course during the week. Even on the weekend right in and he said that's Christianity I want nothing to do with and but when you have that arrow that Holy Spirit pierce your heart like you experience just everything changes. Like you said doesn't it absolutely does. You told some folks just the other day we were talking and I said you might and you you might know of, like me, you know five teen years ago I called BC Christ and its NNN and so my buddies at church lately.

You know I'm telling stories about you know the way I used to be nice. They just can't believe I said you know you it's hard for me to believe that you tell me the East Bay at a certain way, but I was ins but when you get saved. If you truly get saved and what I mean by that. If you truly get saved, you won't want to do an act and do the things that used to doing when you go about your daily walk. You just absolutely.

The Holy Spirit will allow you to be that person and you don't will be that person you want it.

It's different when when God's leading in your being obedient to him. You don't you don't you don't will be that person used to be. You can't be that person used to be the Holy Spirit. Scalia got a hold of your heart and you don't desire the site. I'm not saying that we were not human. We are we make mistakes but I don't have the desires that I used to have in my heart. And if I do say something her father to act a certain way the Holy Spirit chastises me so fast that I have make it right and I give you a prime example.

I came in the house a couple weeks ago and I didn't say anything bad or any I didn't do anything that wasn't aboveboard but my wife asked me something in the just tone of voice that spoke about her as I walked away in walked into my bedroom. The Holy Spirit said you you you don't raise your voice like that and it wasn't like I did. I didn't think right now all like an acid shell. I'm sorry that talk like that are in that tone of voice. She should rock you know you had a busy day and I have to there were good so when you do something you should know to do the Holy Spirit that you pretty quick and yet to get to get it straight rightly in well that's a great word of advice, and for those listening out there. I think biblically is it if keep a short account and even the Scripture comes minds don't let the dough with the sun go down on your anger. You know if you're if you're married and have an argument or disagreement you know whatever you what a call with with your spouse, you know today as you said just take care business right away yelling is that makes a difference in my somebody different bonds the to you together that Ali and I'm sure Shelley had to really appreciate you humbling yourself because that's that's a point of humility. Let's face it, men have egos of Leavitt are not in and are pretty full of pride, but at least while least I am and in such quite a humbling thing to go back and ask for forgiveness or and/or apologize right you do man just the what happens. The relationship just Rosa draws that much closer. Right exactly it, it doesn't. It really does he just you have a you just have inner peace that okay I did what you told me to do Lord and you are right now are wrong and then you go about your day and that it but it just makes a better relationship with your wife or just it it it it just makes you want to do better. Your children, coworkers anyone and everyone around you right Nikita.

I was in Pittsburgh a while back.

My son Daniel married a girl from Pittsburgh. They got a get on another grandbaby just recently guys and Johnson's and Joni. They had a little girl you know and Gino Grace Wagoner, but one was in Pittsburgh. We had a get together for Daniel and Joni. Her his wife's family from Pittsburgh and as me and Daniel were talking got over to the side. I felt honored because Joanie's dad had asked me to pray for the Milner was there were quite a few people there.

There's probably 100 or so people at this function and it just he asked me because I had had conversation with him about the Lord and he had watch me in and talk with me and what is way I was acted in different things out.

When he asked me to pray. I was honored by that would later only me and my son Daniel had a little bit of time just by herself.

He said that he am so proud of you. He said since you got saved, it's just been a blessing and a and 1/2" while you know in. He said all of us talk about all of the boys.

He said we will all realize and recognize what man you have become. Said you got saved and then I was so thankful that I had made a difference in my son's life and in hopefully and in other funds as I walk daily with Christ that I can make a difference this by my actions the way I thought what the things of the site. Avoid Leah carry myself right and you bring up a valid point that people are always watching, especially if if your professed believer Christ follower say Christian people. People are watching and which which leads me into one result want to have you come back and be on the shogun to rock is and I'm hoping here's a break as I'm talking about you often, especially when I preach. And, like at the revival recently another places I go I bring you up as an example, I am what I mean by that is at.

You have shared with me that essentially every morning now you wake up in your life. Lord bring somebody across my path that I can share my story with or in order to be an example and get give us my right you pray that virtually every morning just about right. Not every morning bird almost right Nikita.

I get up every morning pretty much in the first thing I do is I thank the Lord for giving me another day. I thank you for my family, my children, my grandchildren and I said Lord Artis will be obedient to you put somebody in my put in in my path today that I can witness to tell you about tell them about Jesus in almost every single day. If the most opportune time somebody will drift my way and I get the witness to an end in and it's always a little quiet place course not busy. It is crazy because I just and in this is just random people that I know some of them that I don't know right and I just get to say Jesus did any one of the things that I'll say is something like anybody told you do Jesus load and then you you basically start a conversation with them and then in the NSF you got a minute sure is a limitation my store limited what happened to me on 723 of 17 when I got saved and when I tell that story. It touches our heart and is not me but bragging on me, his arm given the Lord, the credit for everything. I mean, if somebody told me in 05. Six years ago no use going act like this or be like this are even in the about the salvation part about I don't either. This unit us and we don't maybe dismiss students.

I guess you're right.

But as I go out in my doing business with my apparel company I get to see a lot of different folks.

And so my mission is I just let the Lord Hamlet. I found out pretty quick to just get out of the way and let God handle things be obedient and he puts those people in my path every day and so I give just a witness to Thomas to work well and I know you told me it's been in warehouses has been so many different places. I think it's great that you open up a conversation with anybody told you today that Jesus loves you and here's what's great about your story to Rocky, not a pastor, not an evangelist and gone to seminary at any mention your peril. Is there a short story of how not only did you share your story and brought conviction upon somebody but solve and then surrender their life to Jesus Nikita this is the craziest thing I was in Saulsberry at a flea market and as I was leaving the flea market. There was a man on the side of the road he's holding up a sign work for food are you know I can't member exactly what he had a little sound & then and there and when I actually came out of the flea market. It was later. Also there was the low lot folks are going to the guy was this guy was standing there and so I pulled over and he walked up my car and I said tell me your story, and he was telling me how he was getting addicted to drugs and things like that. My simple I got a question for us to do you know Jesus, a single year and I know a little bit about these as a buddy of your ass Jesus in the heart you're asking the company heart and Savior and he said no. I said would you like to do that he said is so gave him the plan of salvation, we talked about. I suggest just just say Lord, center come into my heart.

I realize that you you died, he rose that the only third day in coming to my heart. Jesus, if you do that from Shelley for you. The rest of my life and that the gods started crying, sobbing and he for friend.

You know, to be saved. At that point right in and so we just we just have the time right there and so it doesn't matter if it's a professional businessperson or just a homeless person right you can. There's there's there's people out there the end and sometimes I get frustrated because all my past somebody asked us to stop and should stop the witness that person because you don't never know, sometimes even though you know like me and used in a restaurant before and you would say some to the waitress about, you know, can we arrive for Pray for and and is amazing what the reaction you get some time yeah so always keep that in mind if you have a if the Lord lead me to witness to somebody go door well and in you mentioned would obedient a couple different times in our conversation in that's part of one of the keys is is just be obedient and if you delay that obedience delayed, obedience is really called disobedience is so hope you don't just just obey right away just going talk the first that's a phenomenal story and and and one more short story. You know, as you had encounters with others on the marketplace. Well yeah heading up and had encounters with lots of folks even my inner folks among family, which is the hardest by the way family is really for my brother Bobby I love him so much. He's just these. These are the just.

He's a really nice guy and he he. He's a hard worker and we we've had several cons conversations about Jesus and he works a lot lately, remember me. You know commitment. He he works a lot.

He wants to provide for family wants to be the best that he can be an outcome telling Mount Tom slow down a little bit right slow down a little bit. Remember world this is coming from right that type thing is powerful in an and you I'm reminded, just a quick story reminded of a recent main campus that that election.

I facilitate this this Campo man Wittig either Shane and and and he opened up his heart. One day some 45 years old.

I'm selfish and self-centered of an only child. The ghost all these things and Annie was a been a church my whole life been a church my whole life VBS vacation Bible school youth camps right been around his whole life, and any others, but he concludes by saying, but I don't know Jesus.

And so I just pause in the Holy Spirit let me show it was shady you want to know is absolutely and and so I had him pray. And here's the thing you talked about how that homeless man pray. I want all those out there listening to step there's no perfect provisional cookie-cutter prayer there's no perfect prayer.

There's no prayer in the Bible, but the key is rock. You might attest to this. The key is just this praying from the sincerity of your heart is God. Man looks at the outward appearance, God looks at the heart and he sees the sincerity of your heart and man, when you pray that prayer and asked for forgiveness and compassion in some case in a repent. God sees that and in the transformation.

Like happened in your life takes place what happened this young girl who prayed that recently the homeless man who began to sob and cry and show one more, so one last come aside and think about this. Ryan, a praying mama had a pretty Bobby B nothing but thrilled to see her son. Rocky surrender his life to Jesus and any any final thought and I just want to tell folks out there if you got a loved one. You have somebody you care about and their lost.

Just keep praying for. Don't put Brian my mom pray for me literally till I was 62 years old, she still pray for me well, but I mean and she never quit. So God finally went on his terms on our current. I wasn't I was able to make the Lord is 62 and one mom mom came the church that day I gave my testimony. A few weeks later I was so thankful and she was so proud. I'm sure made a stand there and tell people about Jesus. That was the most one of the highlights of my whole life to the fact that she was still live in, and she saw that her prayer, God answered Ry and answered personal hate you listening out there G1, e.g., a rock each man. Rocky your your your valued grip in my heart with your story a praying mama 62 years see some you might give up after 62 days ago.

That person anymore. 62 months praying mama for 62 years that led to this man's transformation sold out for Jesus. Listen him around and now I was around him BC I'm around and now he's a motivate.

He motivates me as an inspiration to me as I hear him share his stories and and know that every day and listen again. You don't have to be an evangelist like me, you have to be a pastor don't hack all you have to do is have a heart heart for Jesus love Jesus and love God well and that a heart for other people and and maybe you pray that prayer that Rocky brace every morning Lord bring somebody across my path.
