Hey this is Jim Graham from the masculine dirty podcast where we explore relationship instead a religion every week your chosen Truth Network podcast is starting in just a few seconds. Enjoy it. Sure, but most of all, thank you for listening you for choosing The Truth Podcast Network. This is the Truth Network call for questions and answers they would fall off the welcome back to another episode of Q&A with rolloff questions and answers and this is where we get the flip it around here like it on the metal podcast I normally asking the questions and putting the my guest on the hot seat so to speak, but here is flipped around. This is the guests opportunity to put me on the hot seated and that these are not canned questions are not even submitted to me and it this particular case of Bishop Larry Jackson is with me in the studio today for Q&A with rolloff and I have no idea what this man is going, but they were just going to have some fun. Welcome to the show.

Cute Bishop good to be here and I'm glad I'm on this my life, here it goes.

So well you and I got to know each other you know over the years and we've shared your platforms together speaking in ministry and just breaking bread together sitting at that at tables and eating together and get to know each other and that I didn't realize my phone off in the manner podcast that you and I have even more common that you have five girls I have four girls. We weave.

We both swam in the in and I like to say swam in the notion forever right and so anyway, we got that a common but but enough about about about God today is your opportunity to ask fire some questions at me and so what what are we jumping the badge's role with with your first question that you would have is choosing to be good without coming here I was talking to my father, which I let you talk to Wanda on my jacket that you write music with presence and the only man we loved you and and and I've we were yet for the bag that we never read for the good guys. They were to some tough, so, so I told him I said is amazing again for us to be looking at that and in God.

Now we are friends. There is no way possible that I would baby sit there when I was looking at you NWA or whatever and I hope we will be friends one day. This craziness happens. But my question to you is in the reason why that happened is your conversion right so in all that you would doing in wrestling. How did it how to switch. How did you switch when it is switch that you knew Jesus had to be how to get to that point yet. I and up.

That's a great question because I know I don't have like one of those stories I was in and out of jail right and I know you know or you know I got sent free of drug addiction and you I was never, I I've never acquired a taste for alcohol. I know that's you that you deal so be it but but that's not to say I never drink alcohol right as I did. I know college and and that was probably not the height of my drinking was in college, but I did it to be socially acceptable ranked into it and so all that to say, so that wasn't a part of my story, but through my wrestling career and and what was a kind of a meteoric rise to stardom and I think about the way for for love and the bad guys and uncle Ivan rest his soul would've been thrilled to hear that it and so went out when I made a decision under my own terms.

At the age of 33 to walk away from wrestling after having the success I had in wrestling you on this path of you if you want to say this quest of what's life hold next for Nikki to cooperate never achieved the pinnacle of success in many people's eyes world champion travel all over the world to experience all kinds of cuisines met all kinds of people from different cultures was a great education right but I and I wrote about this actually is in one of my I got a book called several books one called Russell success developing a championship reality in a chapter and there is is is from success to the fulfillment I'm talking about the difference or I was successful wrestling bishop. But honestly, I was still unfulfilled, like you know Mike is this yet. I mean, the world champion but yet something still missing and so was during that that that retirement from wrestling that I'd met a Christian couple now and I didn't grow up in churches like it didn't work in Russia and cropping a church but I know now, mad method somebody's bubble every time I fell on the good English tutoring. You don't know the story grew up in church, but I was in and I knew I knew the story and I knew the man of the man Jesus was crucified on the cross and was buried died buried and rose again ascended to heaven right in and but the story never made the 18 inch strip from my head down to my heart and through this Christian couple that invited me to their particular church and in October 1970. She 1993 through an invitation from them. I accepted that invitation and in that day was was Dave destiny. For me it was the day that I sat in service and was an aha moment for me as an invitation was given to accept Jesus into your life as your personal savior. I had never done that. It was like an aha moment. Unlike I've never done that and in man. My heart was so sturdy I was the first went to the altar on my knees and I had a genuine encounter with Jesus that day and everything changed to let me buy that is from from my motives to motivation to my thinking to my speech I me to my attitude.

Everything changed that day of conversion. This so so in that in that time also.

I think you are one of the first, and then we started hearing about Blanchard. I think Kelly Kelly Blanchard hey I'm a Christian and Joe, who was as somewhat of a movement or a touch back and forth.

What were you guys evangelizing because I think a lot of people may want even know that we you got evangelizing others, even after you come out because just a friend of the other wrestlers yet another yet in and well, so back in the wrestling days at its least in those days I you know I'm not really engage with. Now other than your alleges autograph signing running since I see some of the old old schoolers and timers and and she is almost like reunion time and we do these autograph signings and but I can say back in the day. There was no if the if the name Jesus came up. It wasn't a good light say that there wasn't much conversation about church or Jesus or anything else in effect was only one guy I was aware of that that looking back would've been a believer, a Christ follower's name is George South.

Okay George been involve the business for 50+ years and George was on the card because in the bathroom stalls were these little salvation tracks George is okay as is. Is this thing this thing and all those that I do all the track anyway so so I think really what happened. Knowing some of the stories like like course I know Sting's personal story Lex Luger Road where Hawk would wear animal Magnum TA which is totally Blanchard. I want what millionaire millionaire meant to be standing out in what what I think him to come guys came to realize bishop was was again they reached the pinnacle of success as well right but yet you with all the as is Lexus of that's all the all the bling bling it on all the novels and trinkets and in the fast cars and in women and everything else you're still empty inside, something still your successful what you're unfulfilled, you and all of those guys you just mentioned Shawn Michaels on my age I make a pick another one that came to the realization that that success is in all, there is without Jesus, there's always going to be something missing this. I think all of those guys essentially came to sink who should take a step further real quick and and so II did I do feel fortunate that I had a role in it.

Weather was sowing seed watering some seed or in some cases, helping lead others to the foot of the cross uncle Ivan. You got half yet here at half after I got saved I was to her traveling with it with an evangelist from South Africa to revivals in the Carolinas and I invited uncle Ivan write what I know. Knowing/tell prior like to be good and reach out to the Lord really put Ivan on my heart.

I did know he was at the service tonight. He was there until I saw him at the altar while in the great part about his story is from there that night again. He had a genuine encounter and what happened that night. I mean he was.

He was steeped in drugs. He was a heavy drinker, a tobacco chew or sell you the pitch between his cheek and gum Celia glowed out that a day that slate was wiped clean. That night, delivered and set him free of everything that night at the he went on to become an ordained minister and then one step further. I had I've had the privilege of being a mentor and/or you might say a role in discipling Lex Luger right staying right where Hawk before he passed those of the three key guys you that I had a role in helping to to disciple after they made their decision so that it still. I think a fairly dark industry. There are a couple that had him on on the Manna podcast's name is Jackson Riker that's really Russell's ass on Monday night raw Yaffe. He's a solid believer that these part of my Bible study goes my home church, the refugee in Annapolis, North Carolina, and then HA styles is that Stiles got a quick story and styles.

Back when TNA was first getting started in Nashville, Tennessee. I was actually living there for couple years and I reached out to Jeff Jarrett. You and I would initiate. I made a few appearances form, but I was initially put the ties back on you.

I was instead Larry come in in doing a Bible study before their paper view knees and Jeff was like all about his lecture component. HA styles came to every single Bible study I did. He was essentially just getting started right because I am talking 2000 3000 to 2003, 2004 long time ago, but HA styles attended every Bible study soon and yeah and and so he has. He has a genuine relationship with the Lord. That's exciting. I remember when I found a listing was a believer.

I sent him a letter. I know I get a lot of stuff you and trying to, you know, encourage a minute while you to go whenever he first found out about I said I think he was still in Atlanta. Okay and down got a 1998. He got to say yeah well that I was back there yet was back there, so that's also so so see that's instrumental and I think you need to hear that story from you so five dirt four girls I got five you one member why men is that there there is any. There's a lot of males out there and men have been in my view, and certainly you had much more experience when it comes to ministering the men that I have. I know you from your background with promise keepers in your current ministry. The front liners and all the different things you're doing. The Lord really put it on my heart in his I get saved in 1993.

I'm disciple and mentor for about five years God opens up doors at Sears around 1998, 1998 and and I began to you just all the world and share the good news in 2006 I was invited to a camp in Texas that tobacco quest that a pastor put some information.

My hand got said I want you to go.

It was at that camp that my life might for the first time his part testimony. I was 40 cell.

Actually I was the didn't want to camp. The data boarded a bus I was I was my birthday. I just turned 47 and at and and Larry, my life was so impacted at at that camp. I came back and asked my pastor J student sick and I have five minutes on the platform on Sunday is a sure guy just want to give a quick testimony on on on my experience I can, and here's what I said to thousand people on Sunday morning for 46 years I was a male for the first time in my life at age 47 I stepped into true because at that camp there was a teaching on biblical meaning is even was a follower of Jesus. Listen, my, my view of manhood was defined by how the worldview and that's how a lot of men are operating today and that's what will ultimately lead to two God-given Lex Luger. Neither vision for man camp.

You for those you listening out there man camp.info growth. Go read more about the learn more about it. You may want to come and attend and our goal in this camp with small intimate groups of men get together together in Georgia is election.

I combine our years of experience in our walk with Jesus and we want to teach man affect Robbie use here in studio today. Help us with this broadcast attended our last man camp in Georgia and and we want to equip men equip men to be godly men godly husband's godly fathers and walk in their true calling and the role they God defined for them before the beginning of time and is so interesting because when I think about that as it is amazing all of the time that men grow up they are in teams.

Usually they plan literally wrong but yeah they hello to militarily go to college to get it fraternities or whatever they getting games even then when they come to church put them on their own right.

They no longer have the team right and man up. A man Allows them to now come back into a team mentality and I think that is amazing, because again you think about the disciples you got 12 men that I think that team that's all different, that this one man is discipling them in discipleship is not going to church with you.

You sit speak to discipleship. Yeah, and in fact one of the things of a dear friend of ours Lieut. Gen. Jerry Boykin have a mutual friend of his getting save a good yeah well you know he's military yeah I know he has an excuse. All you military men out there. We love you have a real putting on the uniform and protecting our great nation's laws and yeah other nations around the world.

Men and women is right warm thank you very much and sincerely.

But you he calls it a battle buddy that's right right Mary battle buddy and so not only do do I try to instill in man that you need a group.

A team, a group of men part of the Bible study I like to call the inner circle. The outer circle in the bigger survey so the Inner Cir., Jesus and inner circle.

There were three that he got a favorite. It seems like more than others. Right, Peter, James and John got got to do a few things. The rest of them didn't do what 12 on that's on the Mount of Transfiguration. There were three with right is only three right so he had his inner circle and and and and then I like to expand on that by saying you need an inner circle and you need that you need a Paula Barnabas in a Timothy is right. You need an older season man of God noticeably older by age physically and spiritually old you might walk with the Lord for 20, 30 years you have been walking for two or three years of a man's seasoning grounded in his walk that your Paul to porn you a part of this hear someone appear the comes alongside Proverbs 2717 as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens the countenance of that's your battle buddy here, Barnabas is your battle buddy and then is your porting to a Timothy would be a a maybe a brand-new convert or brand-new believer again. Forget about physical age that you then can pour into the inner circle and in the Outer Cir., Jesus that in addition to the three had nine more for 12 joint maybe get part you become part of a Bible study to be your outer circle get engaged in a team a Bible study and then the that the bigger circle is to be plugged in a church that I'm sorry you just you just happy don't tell Doc I don't have an you got to keep off the wrong answer.

You game show plugged into church and and and so that discipleship and I'm in. I know you probably will agree with this is what I did in my views what's been missing and why men are in the state that they're in a currently true I was. I was taught about your your your daughter someone Maui was in Hawaii on Honolulu.

Once and in Honolulu.

As I was there. A guy took me out and I so island was out in the ocean. There is an owl in the event that wanted and he saves them to you reasonably back in the morning is a great so we come back in the morning I go without just cause. The ocean have risen in the morning you can see, and while he said that when he said that this is what that's a lot of believers. They are surrounded by water so they can be flooded when you when you part of the inland. That doesn't happen because water can overtake the whole inland might come up on the shore to overtake it right, which is the reason why we need to be connected to a local body because a little body now makes us not in our interview out there by yourself. The intro basket is no man is an island and tubes. No man's knowledge and God did not create us to to be isolated out about any there are obvious this present time the Jesus truly, truly, with the father right right but were not created to be I were crazy for fellowship relationship with him first and foremost right needed relation with others in man men men men and less about his life and I love that so I'm pretty much finished with you all. That was a great discussion.

I printed all really think the question don't know wrestling is your note from your dad know you know you know I love it. How did you come up with a sickle so it was so real quick, on the sickle real quick on the sickle how to come up with the sickle show the Russian character you that the old the old communist flag that USSR CCC P hammer sickle on the flag and I thought to myself, you know it because it will need to do that with the goal of finishing move right for a while you not try to get a backbreaker bear hugs and different things like is not devastating enough looking men you guys had close lines right just like to say now there's a lot of close lines of professional wrestling, but there's only one thing about the sickle shape is kind of a hook to it. So I would intentionally kinda hook my armor cocked my arm to in the shape of a sickle and and and then just charge that guy make it look as devastating as a house all try to make at least make it look like I took as yet. While some David Crockett would probably tell David Dragon for my Saturday billing – it has to be written anyway so thanks for coming on the day being in the student would be such a blessing.

So many I just want to thank you this is the Truth Network say what would you do if you were a new Christian and you didn't have a Bible to Michael Longworth my way from Bible, the international you probably say will and hop in my car and go to Christian bookstore or have one shipped to me with those word options and sing with him due to the faith.
