How many camp is impacted your life. Personally, I didn't know what to expect because I was clueless. Someone I've never been to camp such as this are any camp that matter. So when I got here. I came expecting I sent encouraging emails which help to miss a massive bag, but I like what you sent out to help me not know what was, got here, I felt the Lord's presence and not the so as we progress the first night was very touching on on my two when he brought out the chair, K speak on the play-by-play well but a tear impacted me most clear everything out with everything out that I had in visually.

It was my foundation that I have my Christian life based on what Bill phone was not of rock and God showed me from and that's what I went through the process of the chair. My whole foundation, so ask you we shine down the line next next day, Sunday we met over that and your voice to me. What shall I case you make and initiate is registered. So that's part of what you have encountered this week if and to show you how good God is about a year ago.

My first thought was no way I grew up you know going to the Christian camp is as a youth. You and I could had an experience that is an adult I would go annually on a prayer retreat by myself in solitude.

Okay, but I camp with other guys. I decided I don't know you know that sounds like sounds like kind of intimidating a guess so conversation with my pastor in conversation with my pastor's kinda working through some issues in my life and he would gently suggest time and time again you make him think I finally just said okay I'll go like this and get it. So yeah that's kinda how I ended up here. After a minute whether I so so so you finally got it gave yeah okay I'll go and build up your mind expectations thought it might be like yeah you know how fast Yeah for sure. I mean by youth camps were a lot meaner youth camps right. It was a lot of outdoor activity.

Maybe all times of worship call to repentance to Christ and I had good experiences with that.

You know the funny thing is my head. I'm not a wrestling fan by I don't know anything about it just didn't grow up with that so now I said why I have no idea who these people are so look you up and went on know what my getting to be like a wrestling macho experience.

You know my pastor knowing him, I knew that's not really what got him, he certainly would not send me do something like that. So I kind of look up anything about man can't really ask questions and posting with fresh eyes. Yeah well and so that the provision not only witnessing you really run after the heart of God. This week, but even even have some conversations with you. Pray with you and I witnessed the way God seems like impact really impact your heart this week is something for you that all that really stands out. Yeah, you know, again I came here with no expectations in fact I was thoroughly busy with my work in the weeks leading up to this. I don't have time to contemplate what I was approaching this with terms of expectations and we been having over the past few days a time of just raw openness with other men, which is something that I haven't really experienced in my life. We as men tend to harbor things we we keep them buried her mom had hardened exterior right that's part of what it's like to be a man walls and so you know being with these other men.

It's it's funny from day one on Sunday to today which is Thursday. I've seen those exteriors kind of just melt off a lot of these men and I've been developing relationships and throughout the past few days as we been having times for men are opening up and just sharing their brokenness.

I started having this experience of my own brokenness I like to say that I'm a man of confession. I live a life of confession and repentance. But the Lord just brought to light things that in my life that were unresolved. Really tough things that were unresolved and 36 now these are things that happen 25 years ago that I buried deep in my heart and have been causing unimaginable grief and pain in my life and the Lord used this opportunity of seeing other men just come out of their shells and be transparent in exposing themselves to each other that God just spoke to me and said it's time to deal with this call that's just amazing for listeners to muscular dystrophy yeah and and so you know, a lot of times guys come with different challenges and you know like you to be able to participate in.

Have you found that there isn't anything that we did hear that you haven't been able to participate even struggling with that challenge yet.

No, not really. There's been a lot of accommodation for my muscular dystrophy. There are certain things and I can't get a huge hill back here to the cabins. I can't walk down that you note the many here have been reaching out with love and compassion. I find I found out another thing about myself you're doing. That's incredibly prideful, I'd rather try to tackle that hill. What's foolish it's it's leaning on my own my own strength and so God has been teaching me to let other people bless me, but all in all, everyone's been this whole experience has been incredibly accommodating to my challenges in life, you know I'm seeing God's glory being perfected through other people because of my struggles and and he's perfecting it in me by allowing other people to love me in my imperfections that scrape why this may have that but summarizes it again. This is a blessing for me, be able to witness annual even with your physical challenges just embrace the process, you know, with all your heart and manages to happen. I'm glad you came. You called me. I waited in anticipation. I guess that Whiteman finally called talk to you and you told me about you said right go and register will will work it out more about the finances God will make away I started praying about I registered my wife's I think you should go. She said I don't want you to go because I miss you said but I think you and for us. So I registered in Limassol different things about the camp finances because I have cancer. Things went through with my daughter passed away five years ago or six years ago now we just now getting back on track and use that as an excuse not in the you sent me an email saying Ray got a scholarship, can I sell Al Qaeda really must want me to go home tell you right now I can't put a price for anything. This campus meant I would. I wish I miss my wife and I want to see my wife much pushed campus longer.

I actually wish my wife to comes it would be a great thing to build that couple relationship so they know how to deal with the issues that women concerning how to deal with us me and to be here camp and learned so much about what God really wants from me and Holland have never fasted before, but I fasted a big boy and I love the heat.

With all but food food with my comforter and during fasting. We have about 1 billion God told me know which it then know I have a choice in I said no. Then I started reading my Bible and asking God for answers yes sir, and after all that, I will admit I see like today everything is brighter and clearer beat. As soon as I get my truck before I pull this part, I guess.

Couple things I on my phone number. My wife deserves better. My kids deserve better. Also, deserve better. Well I have the know just watch the process just transfer heart and your willingness just gauge all blessing for me personally witness. Glad to make that vision.

How long Ray out with can email you can bet better. How long here now found in June 2020 that I had cancer and I found out in August that it was stage IV okay so were just in your approach to that you know is just stellar in my eyes and just how you far as I can see how you're handling that.

And just in my heart of hearts.

Whatever God's Plan for the future to come for you wife marriage and family. I'm excited for you, even in the midst of that the current challenge that you're facing battling cancer got sick the ultimate physician great and so that's what I've been praying for.
