Where'd you go up and it tells little bit about that right where I grew up here in Atlanta, Georgia. You guys are basically the reason I'm embarking.

I grew up watching wrestling. Loved it and there is a picture okay I want to try everything that you got in the ring.

Did you hurt anybody home again. Ernie is my brain book yellow topping will golf filled the air and butted over the mat was AA RNA since the move, but maybe you yeah the polyester okay to bring both you and so my dad, who can do construction laying on the floor like always the perfect time. All you got on the back of the couch filled the air. I have but I got up and out of date and they say, mommy. I'm taking to the gym tomorrow will you will whoop and you don't mind about Creighton. I will not know the 1970 phytic Pope from 1970 think and amateur 1999 and then went professional under my friend Evander Holyfield and from 90 to 2007 for professional work or getting what I want to hold off until this anymore stories in a circle around that let let sick as we will cover that I am excited to talk about all of that. But before so see your wrestling fan is the question was a sentence out of a wrestling fan right, wrestling fan and love you wrestlers but so you're in Atlanta. It was the Mecca for a long time with oleander send an Georgia championship wrestling as so many legendary guys there. Tommy Rich and wildfire Tommy Rich who were some of the guys you later yeah go ahead were some of the guys you maybe remember from back in those days written replay or course you yeah you read here in Atlanta okay and that in our tier bureau in the wind that I went to one. Homer did you stop or did you keep cheering for me will cure louder you cheer louder. I love it I love it.

That's all it was at the Omni. I wonder yeah yeah yeah the mean Atlanta that was a class to know that places no longer there, man. There is a Lotta classic matches back back there in those times anybody else you remember from back in those early days of your Gmail Leander L. I'm becoming logarithmic here in Britain not far from where I live now okay okay turn think you to junkyard all JYD, but Sawyer member Buzz Sawyer Courier, that name Mr. Mr. Mr. F number two with a comically new Mr. wrestling and then and then you know who made some really their debut. There was a couple guys with some pretty rad haircuts little pain on their faces and any idea who I'm referring to the older warriors well know the you thought you got have a right to warriors Road rogatory Rome or Gaborone would lead you to do right, the road warriors were essentially debuted there and in Georgia championship wrestling before the went on to win just about every accolade and in tagteam wrestling that you could that you can win but she grew up in there and in the Atlanta area brothers brothers and sisters got our younger brother and a younger male urinary years apart. Me and my brother than 15 sister came along. Okay, different. My parents after having me feel that way well well I guess all of you. If you're doing flying head butts off the couch in the mean yeah I can see why you like a list. Chill for a while here before we have any more anymore children.

But will that's amazing and see group in Atlanta and you know you are you group a wrestling fan so outside of the boxing ring and it really get to that will really get your boxing story give us that such a highlight, but you've accomplished quite a few things outside of the boxing ring. I was looking at your some your accomplishments. When when I was preparing chat with you Homer. Let's go back to go back to high school where where you were and accomplished artist who won the national arts symposium in the 11th grade, 1988 was that all about. What would tell me about that tells about that you got Gardner okay I have always been the dramatic flair for that love. The art I could draw and paint.

I'm amuck with my mom.

You can see that you get to see you, Craig is not interested I could while all know he can't physically see him go like that. I was drawn you work with people and I was a 19 years old, while me. I think I got you give me a gift to be an artist now. The thing that got done throughout my entire life. Yeah asset the same time give me a handicap that would cause me to be humble and have an artist. I'm also okay got done has been all flew. According to the people there.

I will say there were is by going I know you see, I have never read right there is no written there should my wife went to the national arts symposium.

I will 11th grade. By doing a clay sculpture of a man, a veteran and a little realize I before going to competition from baby all my homeland. The face and made my real chemical only content to rescan while PP will Ruby were standing at the University of Georgia were good and the competition was trying to talk to my statute site.

When your grandchildren got something here and we found that laughing because you I would longer piece was that real people getting to the clay statue that is crazy. That is crazy, but what Holland you're doing like 819 years old you your your your your your your exploring and and and displaying your God-given gifts and your mom's like not believing you just like a like a right to. She eventually like see like analog over your shoulder and she's good. What withdrawal you draw a picture from alluvial snapshot and I do the pictures you and my children know is funny because my son is very counted withdrawing you okay my son, my daughter below the rate count the drawing. All my kids have the artistic ability in this amazing to watch them create and it needed to be thinking well how great is God, let me pass along to their mom court. Great artist while said it it's it's it's in there it's in the family tree. It's in the blood. Oh yes sir that's Omega, home how many so, how many children do you have I would total 770 motives between learning Maya for I have a voice on the girls to boys and five girls to boys and five girls and Annina wire box you got to feed all those for all the scandals so soaked from 29 till four. You win the supposedly make it a real life book clay statue at II there's a rumor that Europe you're a published poet as well. Homer here. I think conquer. I would have their high school and was nationally done, as a public oversight poet on the way, that there was some of the emotions that I was dealing with in life. So everything Darren Corkery coping mechanism the right answer is okay were some people my journal. Your writing poems in and didn't get do you have a short poem to share with our listeners today.

Homer, I don't have anything. No worries though will just have to go, go, and are listed up go Google home really given his published poems and I put you on the spot. I should've repatriated times that hey give us an example of one of the poems you wrote. But that's alright so so you use your hand. Your writing poetry. Your your sculpting your your artistry with paints and drawings and those sorts of things so you quite accomplished with that, but then your you've also done you done some acting Homer. You serve your big and the drama around the school more art for art's uniform or more of the arts. Yeah right on.

I was only going to be a part of Saturday night laparoscope like that.

No one thought of them going to be a boxer or me and know there without me out always been a very quiet area. Nice guy and so MC in the outside that side of me on the artist. Mia boxer. No one can actually see that crazy silly you really got thrown. People lost here by about all these other things.

What were some of the like. So was a highlight of your acting career. Would you say certain silica highlight was the redundant small projects. I would love to do more surface. One of those things where everything is binding for your time and the more that you put into this and you take away from something else and I really don't want to be mean my kids are growing up way too fast.

All of a sudden I looking at 115 and one. Where has the time gone so I really put down on the back burner. I'm thinking that when I get older, maybe I can do it if if if the opportunity is available. I took his small stuff but no magic. Love you dad too much. Yeah well with a four-year-old runaround I yeah so you just get you love your see your family man you love spending time with with those children. What answer what are some your share memory or two that that you done with with the sum of some of the kids me every year up until this last year with coded we would go on mission trips for children, okay, we take another year with regular students. Mr. Mike in my kids and my wife and I will bring with our now 15-year-old window one summer. We're down to Savannah weren't hot as all get out and were good reasons on out circular kids are born into knowing that we further ordered will be due over DNA and it's just funny now because of my children. I will be working on this together and they command me, hospice.

I just don't have the ministry and nine I see it is very knowing that my kids can be a part of things that I'm part of what say what those are some great memories of them reflect back on in their and their and their older years that it only got to you on mission trips with dad and and and make a difference for other people write for not not just themselves but for for other people and any idea how many mission trips you've been on approximately have been only one guy per year since 1996 while you have a favorite place you've gone to know we went to Alaska which was really cool, and when we went memo why we first got married, we went over to Romania and am still friends with a number of the guys that men over Romania and watching them grow up and now I have children, this is Miami going to go to the Internet. Now we Talk in the video chat one another and there were away is really cool is pretty amazing business utilities relationships that that really people have become like family and and you going on the Schmidt were most of the mission to spend been like building type projects is that when most of the been doing projects over. I will will Romania.

We were teaching English. Okay, in the development. I was are in them were using the Bible to teach what I really want you teaching the Bible right. I believe the Bible to teach the and it is just amazing. Lexi, I never felt more like he is walking the streets Romania and having kids chased me and then over there. They have Gypsies right in them man is like the gypsy kids with because I love them and they only got going here today. It was some of the remaining people went to the gypsy kids get to see love because they're here begging for change right along to give it to. They go back to their parents because when I witnessed it you have any changes to say that they produce anything for the family against my will. Do they get to see love the food and I was no more suffering.

I don't want to know and like you are visiting them take down the street and say probably had about 100 bit so the Bible was your textbook to teach them to read English, how innovative that was great job that's amazing in and of course what you just what you just a really explained to you is that you know Jesus was the ultimate role model for servitude dry wash the feet of the disciples, and certainly all those that he prayed for and Saul that were were healed and so pretty, pretty amazing homework. Give us a brief insight into how you come to faith like what was it did grow up in church, did you was there. Kind of like for me. There was an aha moment, but what was that for you. What they look like for you what I grew up, my parents go to church. Okay, now there's a bus thinking through our neighborhood to get the signature okay and my mom said you beyond what because seeming is a couple hours without me and that so I started going to church now remembered when I went to church. The guys here. We like to continue going to church. I need to get back so I got baptized Association is open at Modesto when I came to faith okay. It wasn't until the 18 and I know that this church and does not fill the conviction I have felt that they have given her that night. I can't say honestly think I would and he just the conviction can my heart and said there. I don't cry in front of the ministers where the things that we men do think here I was just weaving like crazy yeah because I knew that was withheld now in you I would answer in my life I wish I could say that when I will raise my head upgrading change right.

The truth is that it did to his is a growing experience. You grow you learn you fall, you get up you discontinued all sorts. Well I like that announcement yeah now I sit this way of salvation is both instantaneous and progressive.

What I mean by that is that moment you when we make that decision. Like you, listening out there and you've never made that decision is just a decision of the heart. You believe in the heart that Jesus is who he said he was. It is the son of God, and he lived the Dodd set sacrifice crucified on the cross and rose again lives at the right hand of the father and you believe that and then confess that that instantly instantly Bible says you were saved, but then as Homer's kind of alluded to.

Then there's the process of of what we because that salvation and hope what I hear is talk about is sanctification backup. Paul said this, he said this will work out your salvation with fear and trembling, so the rest of our life we spent on this earth working that out into our mind, or will our emotions right and just becoming more and more like Jesus every day, so I what you say was that I would wish you could say was all all you know just damn everything change, but but yeah that makes sense. That's awesome. Some some terms like an even narrower letter like question my salvation because I might even though I've read the Bible and repulsive. I do things I don't want to do and I don't do think that the award, and I know that you had knowledge about my heartedly. You really knew who won around the globe and allow for money to push me to this point in the video but like saying it is the work of salvation is a work of sanctification right God is working in my life. So you talk to this particular time of it depends on as I can be the nicest person you will meet again, you do something mature animal rights. Probably not going like this.

Well said, and it's your role as a father to protect your wife and children so we totally understand that that's on sale sanctification in the process of thinking is we are all a work in progress. I like what job liquid Billy Graham Rev. Billy Graham's wife Ruth has on her honor guested to still epitaph I whatever you call it, but it says this it says oh I just had a flashback it says end of construction. Thank you for your patience like that.

End of construction. Thank you for your patience so you know just showing that you don't hey were were all under were all under construction were all subjected to, you know to stumble and fall, but Scripture says this to that a righteous man right that a righteous man even though he stumbles and falls will get up again so that's the good news Homer. No matter how much we may potentially mess up right well you know I appreciate you sharing some of that story you you know 111 last note here were almost out of time will get it with a segue here. It was ideal. Part two with you. Can we got we got to get your boxing stories in here little bit about about that career as well. What you remind me of a dear friend, Lex Luger, probably never. That name that name really is the total package and hear Jill where he did main event for many years him and staying had it had a gym. There is and what he group is similar similar way that his density know met men know men don't cry, you know, I see a tear coming up down your cheek, would be in the shape you know, so to speak in and then the day of his salvation, which was actually right there in Atlanta.

You know he was like like you just said he was weeping like a baby could stop. I was apologizing to Pastor Steve Chapman, Steve Steve, like Lex, those are just cleansing tears. No apology is needed, and so I appreciate you sharing some of that story of our listeners out there. Just know that there are no perfect people, there are no perfect people were all flawed. I me were all broken vessels and that's the beauty of God because he gets to put us back together again and then day by day by day as we grow and mature in our walk with him. You know he knocks off the rough edges like Homer is referring to you and and continues to mold and shape us into the image of Jesus Homer, I got a surprise for you. You ready for a surprise for we close dear Sir, I found this found that SEVIS rings a bell. It's entitled, I love you.

I never wanted to fall like this. Listening to your every word, waiting to be kissed opening up my eyes, looking for any kind of sign, virtuous, young love. Could I really make you mine. Everything you want. I would try to be your so beautiful you could be everything to me optimistic.

I must be to believe you could feel like this unguarded is my heart to you every time we kiss euros to avoid there you go when you go out over going to end on that note it would really bring you back for part two folks extradited to demand it.
