Your chosen Truth Network podcast is starting in just a few seconds. Enjoy it, share it, but most of all, thank you for listening and for choosing The Truth Podcast Network. This is good Truth Network you to call off their questions and answers they would pull off the double hello Lance yeah the cuticle off welcome to Q&A questions and answers with Makeda.

How are you today Lance. I am very well thank you well. Thank you for submitting your questions and thank you for making yourself available to chat for a few minutes this afternoon. And hey, let me ask you question around again. Lovely Lance Lumley is a story behind that Lance was the how was the lovely don't like me. Sure I Jim Cornett, the payment manager I sent him several questions many times on a show when he mentioned my name and he thought that Lance Lumley would've been a perfect manager's name, especially in the 70s with the valiant brothers very handsome Jimmy yeah before he was the boogie-woogie minium dry dry and so he said you had handsome Jimmy luscious Johnny so you needed lovely Lance lovely last lovely the manager yeah so I said that's so great I had to snatch it up and use it so that is awesome.

What a great story that's also you can thank Jim Cornett for that although I hope you front asking for royalty. Well, it's Jim.

You never know… I know I like Cornett. I like the and he is and I will say for the record, on a serious note, he is one of the most creative guys I me I know are you he has a mind for the business and he was he was more than a manager. He really had a mind for the business. So kudos to Jim Cornett in kudos to you lovely Lance.

Thank you. That's all well you know I'm looking at you look it up to the questions you get submitted herein and you had two main questions which is perfect for the show and saw pre-shot is just jumping on the Starwood number number one we should be in a healing can come in Crockett, the Crockett territory.

1985. Did you have any interactions with with Buddy Lindell and because you talk about some of the rumors you know the floated around and I can certainly say yes I did have an effect on the rest of what he I don't know how many times I wrestle so many matches that cardmember most of them but I do remember wrestling buddy and AA and I will I would say this, but it was a very colorful guy. How's that sound rescue was iAd you know about you question was what you was he fired at a TV taping. I honestly I don't know that you asked was I there the day or was there any truth to that.

I don't know. I don't know what he was or wasn't I certainly could see how he could be fired because of how colorful Buddy Lindell was in fact I'll I'll share all share one story that comes to mind. You know, there were times when we would travel with different guys right.

Early on in my career on travel with uncle Ivan and Don Col. eventually it's uncle Ivan crusher cruise. Jeff and I we would travel kind exclusively together right after a while guys at 1 Point It Was Rd. were animal staying Lex Luger.

The total package and myself in a car that would kind exclusively travel sometimes together we know we read a big Cadillac real comfortable car and just drive from town to town in it and so I was riding to a town one time with Buddy Lindell and I'm telling you all these years later I still have this memory just to look at that. That's the impact you left on me and and you know those guys you step in and out of cars, a meal they weave in and out of traffic while he he was known to drive fast and and and essentially scare you half to death. I mean it was white knuckle on the dashboard and get a hold on you. Make sure you got your seatbelt buckled to see was. I might even go as far say he was a bit of a reckless driver. I would be curious to know how many cars actually wrecked in his day because I'm guessing it was more than one okay but on this particular day, for whatever reason I don't know what even got us in the conversation for travel and I don't remember where were going, I just do. I do remember that were going through Charlotte and the Dixie. I know he poses get out from underneath his seat and and and he's packing you know it is like kind of the days before. I think like you know that was. I know that it was legal. This is one of our and air, but it caught me caught my attention was like why remembered all these days later all these years later. I don't even remember why people we just got a discussion about fans attacking you or some or whatever and I think you and he's like why does in Ely. It whatever was your 44 Magnum… A gun guys up but it was big. I dismember this. It was a big God. And I'm like dude put that away so we can see you know she's flashing all around the car and driving. By the way he's behind the wheel and and I'm like oh my gosh, I think that was probably the last summer with Buddy Lindell, is that they'll call that I realized that this guy's elevator goes all the way to the top. Here you think you might be missing a screw or two or or or brick or two short of the full load right and as some of those expressions go so that there is there is your my one Buddy Lindell story, but one of my better Buddy Lindo stories right so but so anyway so you go to your question about body and and again it is a potentially he potentially could got fired. Weather was a TV taping or not. Who knows the butt, but he certainly had as I said, very colorful reputation so which made him a good wrestler, did I mean he was very flashy in the ring and and I could really draw the ire of the crowds and and you know you I don't know if he was ever on the good side of the tracks you know if he was ever a good guy or not. I think most the time he worked his heel, but but nevertheless he could he could get. He not only got under the skin of of fancy got under the skin of some of the guys he wrestled with two so and I and obviously were apparently promoters so daddy way so so that's a Buddy Lindell story. Your other question.

Question number two had to do the Bible you said what is your go to book in the Bible or part of the Bible.

And when you when you just need to open the Bible, where you start reading scissors. Some great great questions. Lance like like for real. I spent about eight years. In the book of Proverbs daily. Now that that that that is mean, I didn't read other parts of the Bible.

But what I would do is kiss is just so much is just so chock full of wisdom right like if he who lacks wisdom, I mean you lack wisdom out there for the listener be that the Bible is chock full of wisdom. Wisdom, knowledge, understanding you can gain Revelation discernment from the Bible. The Holy Spirit, open your eyes to all that but as far as just pure wisdom and knowing how to navigate your life.

I mean, the book of Proverbs.

I mean, it's got everything in there. I mean from from somebody on the marketplace, whose a business guide on how to handle business to how to handle relationships to you know have a if you want to say a healthy fear of God, you know that's the foundation of all wisdom is the fear of God and by that we we mean just a reverence and awe in a respect for the created universe that when I say fear of God. That's what I mean by that, and so Proverbs is a great one to go to for wisdom course the Psalms.

If you want encouragement, not every song is encouraging, but man, if you just want to being just one encouragement in the book of the book of Psalms affect I did two CDs Lance one called adoration and another called declaration where I took off her adoration, meaning, learning to adore the how to lift up adoration to him and I took all I want to. All through the Psalms and I put these down a different tracks up little music behind it and just speaking the word of God so we can pop into their car. Listen to all the timely on their commute to work or backer in their house and then and then declaration I just took a variety of scriptures to teach people how to take God's word and declare it over there life in both the CDs by way whether yourself or any of our listeners out there.

If you're ever interested in getting your hands on those CDs just shoot, shoot me an email coal off cola for christ@gmail.com coal off for christ@gmail.com and I can get those CDs in your hands, and the feedback I've gotten Lance have been incredible blessing from those who listen to those CDs but Proverbs and salt are two main books to it to dive into, and I actually I host a men's Bible study.

We started in the book of Matthew were just kind of systematically going through it kind of Scripture by Scripture chapter by chapter and I got a great group of guys together and that's another way to just grow in in your relationship with the Lord in your knowledge of God is, is to be plugged into two Bible studies show that helpful yes. I actually live several months I've been studying the Proverbs as well, especially given when you mentioned relationships yet and you know I emailed you several times on dealings with certain relationships that are not quite what God wants you to have Dallas. I've been studying.

Usually I think it was Chapter 4 where it mentions about focusing ahead, not looking to the right and left absolutely. And what one, one last thought Lance Farkas and Lussier is an ever all the listeners. Here's here's a simple way to read the Proverbs. His idea for eight years so today is January 7 right so you take the seventh chapter of Proverbs and and it's not about you know have trying to memorize every single chap every single verse in chapter 7, which is read through chapter 7 Thomas the eighth. Read through chapter 8 you know and and there's 31 chapters there's 31 days in most months and and you can work your way through Proverbs and in a month just by starting chapter 1 on the first day of the month. Chapter 31 on the 31st day of the month and just systematically do that. I like to say, repetition is the first law of learning and so if you just consistently do that every day. It didn't take long. Just read a chapter of Proverbs read a chapter, Proverbs, and manned the wisdom over the over the course of time that you'll gain from that. What will will be amazing so okay well over real quick. Last question, Columbiana, Ohio. Where is that about half hour from Youngstown, south of Youngstown. Okay, we are maybe an hour and 1/2 from Pittsburgh an hour and 1/2 from Cleveland but Youngstown is usually the most well-known part of that's how you got shipped died last year Quimby in Ohio within readers and digest as one the friendliest towns in America so gosh I need to come the last to be in your church. I need to come there that if it was one of the friendliest. That's right up my alley. So will and maybe who knows maybe I will get to your town or or maybe one day I will get to your church and and be able to just meet you face-to-face.

Lance sure thank you for all you do.

Thank you for your show appreciated. See you fall, the podcast I absolutely do when I told you before that when I was a kid I started reading the wrestling magazines in the first magazine I got was wrestling illustrated covering the Great American badge 85 and you on the cover wrestling magazines help me with the reading geography and so it wasn't just a sport for me.

It gave me some life lessons hey that is what a great story so Pro wrestling.

The bank is out to tell Bill. After that he was what you are one of the main guys there off to tell him so. It helped you with geography help you with reading and life lessons correct. While that's amazing, will less, to be fair, help help spread the word for it's time to man up and in this new show you questions and answers and appreciate all all of your supporting and I look forward to a one day Lance what I look forward to meeting the lovely Lance normally wanted to thank you very much.
