Q&A with Koloff - #7

Welcome back to questions and answers with the devil's nightmare neck Q&A with rolloff and today on the show.

Jeff Pendleton sent in this question.

He asks what would you tell a a seasoned Christian man who has struggled with living pure, living a pure and holy life of the Lord and is sabotaged his walk with God. And then there was a second part to the outer second question, how can. How can he maintain spiritual strength and victory, while you when I look at those questions. Jeff what what I really really reminded of this is that life in and of itself is a day is a daily grind right it's it's a daily walk. It's you know were human were flesh and bone is a real enemy, Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy it.

If so, whether some is a seasoned Christian or or brand-new what we call baby Christian right doesn't make the enemy happy. We stole another one out his camp so to speak. And so he's relentless the enemy. In my experience is relentless in the pursuit of sabotaging's good word of sabotaging somebody's walk or you might say staining their walk or trying to just really ruin their their their witness for Jesus. And so I was in the struggle is real with with all of us with everybody and is certainly not just this man who you're referring to, but with each and every one of us and and the good news is you know the Bible says nothing is in Hebrews and I think of the fifth chapter worse as you know we don't have a high priest who can't sympathize really and I'm kind of paraphrasing here, but you know with all all the same things we struggle with is he himself was faced with all the same temptations all the same struggles. I mean let's face it, I would be one to say in the garden to send to 70.

He struggled with what he knew he was going to be three times yes if you could change right. Hey, can a eight a dad, a father AA Abba Papa, is there any other, is there a plan B right now be a great time to share with me a plan be like if there's any other way I can accomplish the same thing without having to go to the cross and course we know from Scripture.

He anguished and struggled in the garden did me to the point of sweating drops of blood. So even our high priest. Even Jesus himself struggled and struggled with things and was faced again with the same temptations were faced with. I mean listen, the whole live in a pure life, a holy life. Gosh, I would imagine you know in his entourage of people who followed him II don't not there, but I can just envision I know as much as things change things remain the same. By that meaning.

Humans are humans right were all fallen by nature, live in a fallen world a broken world as I could just envision you know weathers the betrayal of a friend, which he had right suffer the betrayal of a friend or or everybody who he poured into for 3+ years and discipled will turn their backs all ran off, ran away mean literally one ran away.

They could rightly grabbed his belt was with her the night they arrested him and he ran off naked. The Scripture says right and so I'm saying all that to say you know what this mantis is struggling with this be really nothing different than than any of us struggle, his eyes like a lady that that foundation right but you asked, you know, he struggled with this. You know how how can he maintained in the spiritual strength and in victory and I you and assess kind of gave what I would give as far as part of Nancy realizing that if we stay in the word daily, we develop a prayer life, because those are vital. Those are vital right the daily word stained of the word daily and developing a prayer life. Those are for me to keep two keys to two.

To me, overcoming the struggles that I could be faced with 30 waves of the temptations that might I might be faced with them in living up your life a holy life for for the Lord. So those are two key things being of the word daily, you know, Heidi got a hide your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. So I believe the more of God's word, we get inside of us. The more transforms us into the image of Jesus and just read that this morning devotion the note.

Him from glory to glory, transforming us into the image of Jesus it and but that's a daily that's a journey that's like not an overnight thing. Yeah I'm reminded of a of a of a is really Rich Mullins. Have you ever know that name. It's goes kind of way back but friend of mine sent me a movie on on the life of Rich Mullins.

Now he may be best known for. It was songwriter eventually moved to Nashville for a while but our God is an awesome God, our God is an awesome God he rings from heaven above, we used power and love our God is an awesome but we know that song you don't go look it up on YouTube. It's that that's probably one of her and any wrote songs for Amy Grant. To me it but you know if you watch his life story.

Guess what he struggle with his whole life he struggle with alcohol. His whole entire life and in yet.

I I look at his life story and see how God used them in such a mighty way. As a songwriter and he had a roulette. He had a genuine, authentic love for Jesus, you could just tell you he struggle with that in in one such was a what that sabotage.

But then again I don't get it.

I mean, people are still impacted by that song today all these years later it and so you don't as an encouragement to this man right is a how how to maintain spiritual strength in victory just consistently every day. Be in the word get the word right the word of the tablet of your heart, get the word in. You got him in a hide your word in my heart that I might not sin against you and I will say for the record, you know, I'm 27 or so years into this journey with Jesus to some people shock. Perhaps I don't live a perfect life just so everybody knows I don't live a sinless life, but I will say this for the record, the closer I've drawn in my relationship and my love for Jesus, the more passionate. I've got about him and drawn into that relationship with him. I know this I sin less subtle of a sinless life just be transparent here, but I do send a whole lot less because more more every day I fall more more in love with him a fall in love with his word in my prayer time is just conversations with Hillman one thing in it that I got, learn and 20, 21 that he's really impressed upon the heart is as much as I talked to him in my prayer time is is just then then shutting up as we went on to say, just shut up and listen right. I've learned that I don't listen enough I might ask a bunch of questions that only stay around for the answer. Like rushing out the door like really is.

So part of my focus for 2021 personally is good be learning to sit and just listen to the Lord for him to speak and so I I would say or come to summarize, to say implement those things right the Bible the word prayer and and again the sky made already be doing.

Those are others out there listening to me are already be doing that and I how you phrase it, what you said, it seems like victory.

So steam so so far away. Well, you know what gotta move us from glory to glory, from victory to victory.

You know, until he returns her till he takes his home. We never have the ultimate victory right and so I whole I hope I hope Jeff that that's helpful for you as you minister to the sky and it had perhaps maybe your your discipling him appreciate the question.
