Crucified with Christ

Welcome to this weekend's MCATs podcast with Kyle Stanley today spreading the key passage in the book of Romans to show you how Christ broke the power of thin and thinking this series the life that wins continues use the Romans chapter 6 and also read the first 14 verses of this chapter.

This is the 10th message of the series on the life that wins a very important one is all of them are so Paul begins by saying, what shall we say then shall we continue in sin that grace may abound, God forbid, he said, perish the idea how sure are we that died to sin living along the rim know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death.

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death, that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. We've been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection. Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin, for he that is dead is freed from sin, that if we be dead with Christ. We believe that we shall also live with him, knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dive no more death, have no more dominion over him or that he died he died under sin once, but in that he live it delivered unto God that is under God's purpose. Likewise, in the same manner. Reckon he also your selves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither he'll G your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin, but yield yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God for sin shall not have dominion over you, for you.

None of the law but under grace now. How can a believer have continuous victory in their spiritual life. Instead of being tripped up today in writing a hard tomorrow.

Is there any way that God can level out these ups and downs in order that you and I can have some real joy and sense of contentment and a feeling of victory in our spiritual life. There is a way and I believe that way is to be found right here in Romans chapter 6 in these verses, so I want to move quickly into the three things that I want to share with you the first thing I want to say is this the believers crucifixion with Christ is a biblical fact. I will remind you of something. In Romans chapter 1 verse one all the way to Romans chapter 6 could you get down to verse 11.

All of what Paul has said has been doctrine is not experience. It isn't something we going to experience. He's is I'm giving you the facts. Romans one all the way through half of Romans six are all facts has nothing to do with her. I experience anything or feel anything.

It is all that and the fact is, not really, but the fact is, he says, you and I have been crucified with Christ, if you look in verse six of the same chapter. Chapter 6, he says. Knowing this, not thinking this feeling this but knowing this, knowing what that our old man. That is what you were before you were say your life. Your old nature before you were saved. Knowing this, that our old man is that it has been once and for all crucified nailed to the cross with Christ that the body of sin. What do I do these feelings of mine.

I want to show you just among the three words I want to jot down this last point in the last one is this the believers crucifixion with Christ is his promise updated victory. The third thing he says, verse 13 neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness under sin unto Israel, unto its rain under his roof don't yield your eyes to see your ears to hear them out to speak your hand, your body don't yield your members of your body as instruments of unrighteousness under sin's rule writing realm, but rather yield yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the what alive from the dead to walk in newness of life and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God for verse 14 says that's ready to give out loud for sin shall not have dominion over you, that you believe that a lot. Is that true knowing reckoning, and then doing what yielding myself to Almighty God.

Under his purposes. I can walk in newness of life. They bother limiting what that does for number one. If you are saved by the grace of God, you are not enslaved, and if you are enslaved by anything my friends because you have chosen to violate to disobey God.

You have brought back into your life.

Those old things that are foreign to your new nature that's foreign to being a Christian and whatever that habit may be Almighty God freed you, you chose you chose to bring back in your life. The garbage that fill the entanglements. But God freed you from and once you accept your position in Christ and declare it to be true by faith, Almighty God, who has already freed you will untangle your light but you see every person is saying all of the talk at the moment is that you don't have to be safe then get all cooped up out there somewhere in your life and then finally buy some new experience.

Somebody bring you back to God.

If there's something you like, don't look to me that you chose not to be there and I'm saying if you claim your position in Christ you claim the power that is yours in him, and by faith if you will reckon it to be true. He says you will be free because you already are afraid listen. What is a positional spiritual truth will become an actual material truth in your personal experience.

Once you accept the fact of your position. Reckon it to be true believer to be true. He says he will become a reality in your life because spiritually it is already a reality. But you have to claim your position and exercise on a daily basis not be to say one last thing. In conclusion, our God having provided all of that for us if you think for a moment that because you say, but the grace of God, and you no longer under law but on the grace that you can sin against God disobey him violate his principles and get by with it. I will tell you something, the more truth you know the more intense is the chastisement of Almighty God and I want to sit every young person who is listening. Knowing the truth of your salvation. If you continue to disobey God rebel against him rebel against your parents. If you choose your own way in violation of the gods way you can expect God to throw the monkeywrench in everything you do, the more truth you know, the greater the consequences of sin and I want to challenge my friend.

If you've never received Jesus Christ as your Savior. Do it now. Do not wait to turn your life over to him.

The moment you say what you've heard this morning he will accept your position because you sick. You don't have to be a Christian for long time. Like many of us were before we ever heard the truth. If you want to trust him today is your Savior, God will begin your Christian experience in victory and you can live a victorious life. You can live victoriously with a whole not a sense of helplessness, but joy in your life that whatever happens here in the heaven is indwelt of the power of God and securities euros joy shores.
