Welcome to this weekend. Intensified catheter having peace from God doesn't mean that life will be free from problems continue the last piece on today's when you trusted Jesus Christ as your personal savior you were given the person of Jesus Christ, to live on the inside of you through the Holy Spirit and the Bible says that Jesus is our peace, which means that when he comes to bodily venue which has what happens when you trust them as your Savior. You have his piece and what is happening when you are experiencing the peace of God in our life. Jesus Christ in those moments is being allowed by an act of our will to release his piece in and through us of the what we're experiencing is the peace of God. This is the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ as he and the father had perfect peace will not have perfect leaves for the simple reason we still have our physical body now tendencies toward sin.

And yet we can live and's absolute wonderful harmony with our heavenly father created with his son Jesus Christ. When we choose to do so somewhere in eternity with the Philippians chapter 4 Philippians chapter 4, the apostle Paul is talking about peace here and he tells us in the first part of this passage how to protect therapies and listen if you will, what he says beginning in verse four he says rejoice in the Lord always again I will say, rejoice, and let your gentle spirit be known to all men.

The Lord is near. Then he says be anxious for nothing. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, every circumstance of life of prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all human comprehension will keep our guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Then he says that finally, brethren, whatever is true and whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise dwell on these things.

The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me practice these things in the God of peace will be with you that the apostle Paul is in a Roman prison. When is writing this. How is it that a man could be in prison unjustly and here he is with peace and contentment and a sense of joy in his heart 16 times he talks about the joy of the Lord Jesus, I can't really explain it. There's a peace that prevails in my life pervades every part of me that in spite of being imprisoned in spite of the difficulties are been through. There is a peace that keeps me no matter what. Well, this think about this piece for mom and why we lose.

While this piece the verb word R-rated in the Greek, which means to bind together the bond together something that has been disjointed and disconnected so that you and I have peace in our heart. First of all when we are reconnected we are rejoined that is when God who created us, brings us back into relationship with him having trusted Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Then we have the peace of God, and that's when it all begins and you see the kind of peace he's talking about is a piece that's undisturbed is a calmness in the quietness and arrest fullness is a sense of serenity and quietness in a person's heart, that no matter what's going on in their life. It is really making a difference what the circumstances are. There is this stabilizing awesome since it is he says peace that surpasses human understanding is that just given to a few but is it available to all. It is available to every single person who is wise enough to reach out and take that piece. Many people have experienced it.

Many people have lost most people so to come and go with their piece today but not tomorrow. And the reason is because they have determined that their pieces is as a result of their circumstances and so they have good circumstance therapies circumstances don't have a piece that is not the peace that the Lord Jesus Christ is offered us, so we have the gift of peace. It is there not to be rumpled about the circumstances of life, though it can be and will be there will be times in our life when we will be hit from the blindside. There'll be times we hear news when we find ourselves in circumstances and situations.

We didn't plan on and as a result of that all of a sudden we sense anxiety and sudden worry and fear. The apostle Paul says the way you defend yourself against that. He says immediately. His what you do you cry out to the father. He says don't be anxious about anything that does that mean that you never feel anxiety. Nobody means when you do, don't let it remain there.

He says don't be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication.

Thanksgiving petition. That is what we lose the crowd to God.

Lord you understand the circumstance you know where I am you.

The sovereign God of this universe, I'm trusting you.

You promise to take care of me. Never leave me nor forsake me meet every single day. He says our prayer. Garrisons knows about that is guards is against these anxieties and these frustrations and fears which come from thinking and from our heart. So with that in mind, we ask ourselves the question that that's true, then why is it we lose our things. There was a we have Jesus on the inside of his living his life there is releasing his piece.

He said my piece I given you.

Not as the world gives give on the let not your heart be troubled. Don't be afraid, then why do we lose it, how do we lose listen with the apostle Paul said now find the brother and his what about you think about what you think on these things.

Let your mind be enmeshed in.

Let your mind be submerged and let your mind be permeated by let your mind be dominated and captivated by what he says things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, of good repute, and he says things that are praiseworthy think on these things and if you notice that all of these are positive thoughts and this is not a message about positive thinking. It is a message about godly thinking and why people lose their piece. If Jesus Christ lives within you, which he does. If you say then you not know lose him because he says my sheep hear my voice, and ultimately, follow me, I given them eternal life, and they will never perish. My father, which gave them to me. He says they're the father's hand. No one can take them out of the father's hand on the father. One so you see what you say but the grace of God to return the secure so the possibility and potential for peace is within you. From the moment you trust Jesus Christ as your Savior. Why do we lose it. Listen what he says.

He says focus on these, things, let your mind be saturated with this numbers look at these words from moment just briefly he says let your mind be saturated with these things 90s is first of all things that are true things that are real things that are genuine. So much of what the world says the days not true that we want to think what is true. Turn back if you will to Psalm 119. The big song 119 and look at the hundred and 65th verse of this hundred 19 song because this will indeed help us to think about things that are true. Somebody says what is true and the truth, not of opinion. Although it's not well true.

Some relevant no truth is truth and hit listen what God says in his word through David no hundred 19 some hundred and 65th verse is what he says those who love your law. Have a great peace and nothing causes them to stumble was a member. He says when you and I love the word of God and if we love the word of God. We will meditate upon it, we will think about it we will believe it and we will apply throughout heart. He says those who love his law have great peace. Why, because those of us who love his law we know what the truth is we will no truth when we see it we will no truth and we hear it we will not be deceived by the things in the world that a caliphate and ungodly and absolutely un-Christlike.

He says it's upon that with meditate upon things that are true. The second word you notice he uses is honorable. Think about things that honorable things that are worthy, not things that are cheap, what is it that that's a believer in their words, if you think about who you are, created by the heavenly father.

Holy God save on his son the Lord Jesus Christ, indwelt by his Holy Spirit. His word has been given to us to live a holy godly life and a lot of thinking that goes on a lot of actions are going absolutely unholy, absolutely un-garlic do not fit who we are, so did not honorable thoughts and did not honorable things that we ponder our minds and hearts should be sold that then we don't want in the junket trashes stuff in our life. We want things the right things are good and so he says really think about things that honorable then he uses just that term. Think about things the right. This is our behavior toward other people. Our behavior toward God. We want people to be treated justly and fairly, and realize that we are all accountable to God and to some degree we are accountable to each other. He said, think upon those things that are right summarizes what I want to know what's right you open God's word he says listen, those who ponder his word have great peace not passing peace but great peace because you know we know what truth is we know what's right.

We know what's wrong and that many people who know what is right and what is wrong and chosen to live the wrong kind of life. Think about wrong things in their life and as a result, their actions are wrong and as a result they suffer the consequences. They have absolute no please because you can't have wrong thinking and have peace series is think about things. Meditate upon things that are right and the good, how to live a godly life. He says also, think about those things that are pure you think about all of the things you hear and you see that are morally corrupt, sensual sexual thoughts, ungodly thoughts about other people projecting on people things that are not true. Gossiping about people undermining them.

These are not pure thoughts.

Pure thoughts of thoughtfulness that are consistent with the word of God. Pure thoughts of thoughts that are consistent with a godly life, consistent with the life of Christ consistent with the principles he taught consistent listen with the life that he lived. He says really think upon those things that are pure hourly clean not deceived by the world. The world will tell you a lot of things are okay listen, think, and be okay in the house of the world, but totally on right impure in the eyes of God.

Righteous living godly living holy living.

Pure living. That's the kind of living that results in peace in our life.

And yet many people's minds are so corrupted many people's minds are so full of evil and so full of wickedness so full of ungodly trashy, dirty, filthy, thinking they can be absolutely no peace what sermon that he says really think those thoughts that appear then he says those things that a loving kindness and gentleness, and goodness things that are encouraging about other people and you see many people can complement anybody. They just can't complement someone else when it comes to gossiping about someone else when it comes to being critical of someone is belittling. They got a mouthful word, but when it comes to seeing you looking fantastic when it comes to saying you did a great job when it comes in so you know what I like. It really comes as a year. One of the personnel that I love being with you. You seem to understand the word of God or you seem to be such a godly person and I will learn the was the case I because their own pride and arrogance and all the rest is so messed up in their life and their life is so confused they can say those things they can't think about things that are lovely was he says things of good repute. And so what the apostle Paul is saying is his look you want to protect your peace. You do it in two ways. Number one he says the moment you hit some anxiety. You cry out to the father and reminding him of reclaiming what is your rightful position with him and secondly you think good thoughts you think the right kind of thinking you control what you think. Now while all of this conversation here about to the way we think well because the truth is this whatever you we think that is going to reflect itself in all of our actions. Because you see will not what we think we are, but we are what we think we know what we think where we have all come to the store that is that what we think we are, but we are what we think, because our mind is the control tower in our life and because it's the control tower of our life the way we think is going to be the way we act the way we think about people tell me way we treat them the way we think about circumstances and situations in life is a way we can respond to what we think is extremely important. He says it's the control tower of our life that some people's thinking is so messed up and so mixed up. Select concrete.

It's all mixed up and very permanently set and when you think about some people may say well I been thinking about so and so sometimes I want to say no you been rearranging your prejudices. You haven't been objectively thinking about anything because if you are not really and truly think in the spirit of God who lives within you is governing your thinking we are going to be thinking the right things and the right things. Listen, contribute to a life of peace.

You live in a world that's full of sin and wickedness and rebellion and all the rest of you got a hit from all kind of things you see, the issue is not is it absolutely continuously uninterruptedly sustained no only Jesus could live that way, but you can quickly recover those moments of anxiety that come to you. Maybe because of criticism or whatever it might be. The issue is, do you have peace in your heart. Have you lost it somewhere along the way you see there's a rest and a calmness in the tranquility and the quietness we have to wrestle with it at times. Yes, because the circumstances of life.

And I gotta be perfect. But do we have to lose it. No the rep to give it up. Noted with the land now known or listen carefully.

Nobody can take your peace from you. You have to surrender it you have to yield that you have to give it up. You have to listen to the deception of the world. The deception of the devil, give up, surrender, lay down voluntarily, willingly, your peace, you don't have to lose it unless you choose to. He still had an idealist aversive alone when you think you're just a moment and ask yourself this question, listen carefully of my thoughts sinful. I don't mean some simple thought comes and goes and becomes you grab it, you meditate on it. Think about it you focus on it. Sometimes you fantasizing are you thoughts in any given day, some brief time of longer time all day of a simple thoughts. Are you one of those persons whose full of negative thinking is negative thinking. Have you discovered a lot of your thinking is erroneous.

It's not right thinking your thinking wrong about yourself and the things that you think about you think will show this must be right but it's negative thinking. It's erroneous thinking.

Are you thinking some things about yourself that are unrealistic.

It is unrealistic.*Not the way life is or the been inside of your thoughts rebellious.

I'm gonna get it done no matter what I'm going to have my way in this no matter what, are you obsessed with your thoughts. Are you enslaved, you cannot. You will not absolutely under any condition experienced peace in your heart if your thoughts fall in those categories and you allow them to remain there. So you say will have no idea what that listen very carefully. Don't miss this. It's truly just a simple drywall piece into one if I wanted. I know how to get it. I have Christ in my life and when I give him the key to my will.

Daily, moment by moment whatever decision it crops up when I say Lord, you have the key to my where would you have me to do you live in peace. No matter what your circumstances no matter what people say, no matter what they do, no matter how things change how they come and go. Your peace will prevail. Though matter what. So what am I saying your peace. Nobody can steal it. Nobody can take it away. It's the way you think and the way you respond if you want the kind of peace in talking about. It is a choice that you make. It's a choice to experience that piece. It's a choice to keep that piece at yours for the asking and the turning over of Acadia will and father how grateful we are. You make things so simple for us and so plain just to realize that all the struggle for readying the anxiety and worry in the doubting in the theaters that crop up in our lives also unnecessary not pray today.

In Jesus name. But somebody who's listening to this message would decide right. Trusting Jesus as my Savior turning all over him, giving the key to my will to the son of God, but we ask it in his name. Amen.

Thank you for listening to part 211 why we lose our peace.
