American family relations. The Bible rose but I'm so glad with us here today. Her youthful going on with this program is designed for those who put themselves between vulnerable of what even worse disaster.

Those who are caring for somebody with special needs child with special needs family member special needs parent is aging but with Alzheimer's dementia, Parkinson's somebody who's had some type of traumatic event stroke somebody who is caring for somebody who's an alcoholic or an addict. There are so many different types of afflictions that are chronic that affects so many people and there's always a family caregiver, so the essence click caregiver family caregiver paycheck to paycheck is the different because family caregivers are people that just step up without renumeration with half of the check without any type of training. Most of us we throw ourselves into the Herculean task of caring for chronically impaired. Love one. How do you help the family caregiver. Why should you help the family caregiver because healthy caregivers make better caregivers and it's a two-for-one deal. If the caregiver goes down, so this program is designed specifically to help those of you who are doing that right now.

If you're not caregiver you're going to get something out of what we do here but the program is for the family caregiver. I usually start off every call with Harry feeling because I want caregivers to get comfortable talking in their own voice speaking from their own heart sharing what is going on with them. It doesn't matter what comes after the word I they can be.

There's no wrong answer.

They could be distressed, resentful, whatever doesn't matter, but now we can have an honest conversation and I am glad that you're part of this program. The difference between this program in any other program for family caregivers is that I don't do a how to program this is how you do it.

I don't do that. I can't tell you how to take care of your lovely morning. Tell me how to take care of my this program is a this is how I do it.

I'm still a character that I have been there for more than 35 years and in so as I journey alongside you these things that I've learned along the way that I have mostly foraged for but I've tried to put it in a way that makes sense to you was a caregiver to music to get into that a little later in the program and if by way if you want to be on the program. 888-589-8840 888-589-8840.

I like to play him of something that means something to me as a caregivers I go through these things.

What anchors me and the goal is to speak is not coping.

The goal is not to see who knows all the hymns but to say why is this important advice is important to me as a character, so wanted to hold in caregiver keyboard here and play this one. If you know this would give me a call about some favorite and I played a little bit longer today because I did it for me love him and Akers me in ways it's hard to explain, and so you love after the Sultan Hans Christian Anderson said when words fail. Music speaks and often times when words fail. For me I just go to the piano display songs that connect with me and that express what I've got going on in my soul. And these hymns just do that and if you know that 1-888-589-8840 888-589-8840 Romans 826 from us and we the Scripture last night. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words ever not know how to pray. Never, not your struggle with with the words you don't know what to say you don't know what a prayer even looks like the sales that you know you only know you.

You can inform the words ever been. There's a caregiver. I was talking about that would last night with a close friend about it. He sent me that Scripture and the spirit knows.

Sometimes the the two prayers that I lean on. Sometimes one of Ms. Lord, I believe, help my unbelief and the other one is now noticed. Sometimes it's all you can say thou knowest rating into a very difficult week at my house next week and it's it it's hard to know how to pray thou knowest, sometimes is all we got.

Lord, you know it says right here.

Romans 826 likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words that mean to you. I know what it means to me means that I not left to flounder around that when I don't have the words he's already praying for me.

Spirit is already interceding for us in the course of that soda displayed in leaving your spirit to the work on earth is done in Jesus said you know what when he left he said you know I'm going to leave now because the comfortable, and that's what the Holy Spirit does comfort us in these moments as we look around at this broken world. I member doing an interview once and they were asking about difficult times that I told you I live here in Montana the Rockies in every place I look as opposed but it's all groanings.

Scripture says Oak Ridge creation is grown waiting for the final redemption is grown let's us, but you great news is there's one who's going to Roseburg… Hope caregiver.com will be like a look back over the caregiver. The Rosenberger so I got caught up was that thought I just but every time I talked with Gary Chapman.

Tell him thank you for that.

So I absolutely love this and upload it for 40 years, grateful that he wrote it is very meaningful to me, this is Peter Roseburg… Hopefully caregiver 888-589-8840 888-589-8840 if you know the soul that played a block. You can put it that way. It really is in one of the things I like about this song Melody green Rotary Kees widow, one of things I like about it is that it just so clearly states a bedrock of our faith. There is a Redeemer, Jesus, God Precious Lamb of God beside a Holy One. Thank You. Oh My Father for Giving Us Your Son and Leaving Your Spirit to the Work on Earth Is Done and I II Think That so Many of Us Are so Many Songs Were Written about Getting Out Of This Place, Getting Out Of This This Broken Fallen World That We Live in and Hurry up Get to Heaven and II Understand That Sentiment, but We Have Worked to Do. He Has Work to Do and He Invites Us to Be a Part of It. In This Song, a Process That This Is Also to Be Redeemed and We Have Been Redeemed and He Is and Then I Love That Last Verse.

When I Stand in Glory.

I Will See His Face. There Are Served by King Forever in the Holy Place and I Not Just I Just Love the, the Conviction and the the Bedrock That Melody Gives Us of This and If You've Ever Heard Keith Perform It.

I Mean, You Talk about Somebody Who Just Slams I Mean He You Could Just Tell Every Cell in His Body Was Was Invested in This so He Left Us a Great Legacy of Music and This Is Certainly One of the Most Profound Ones That That He Performed so I'm Glad It Meant Something to You, Art, and What Are You Doing Today Well, Paperwork, and I Were Going to Get Sometime Today and Wait and Not Know Every Year Ago and Now My Wife and I Have Kind of Taken Marianne under Our Wing and We Try to Keep in Contact with Eric to Lie As an Example of the Day Leave after She Would Want to Join up As My Wife and I That a Defendant Lesson Sometime Today and She Had Not Agreed to Do so When She Finds out Whether This Older Lady Made Her Sometime Today and the Time That She Won't Be Working Our Friend Pam Will Be Going out and We Study Are Found in the Latter Part of Mark. Well, That Is, That Is a Very Current Topic.

Scripture Says I Believe It's in Proverbs, but Will Be to Task That Where There Is No Justice. The People Grown and That They Were Seeing This Played out in Our Country Right Now so This Is a Very Appropriate Topic Back to What You and Your Wife Doing. James 127 Says Religion That Is Pure and Undefiled before God the Father Is This, to Visit Orphans and Widows in Their Affliction, and to Keep Oneself Unstained from the World and so You and Your Wife or Modeling That by Caring for This Young Widow and in Her Affliction and Surrounds the Beautiful Testimony to Your Walk with the Lord. So Art You Go in and Study up on Justice and Judges and Priest and I Trust It'll Be of Fine Sunday School Lesson Tomorrow Morning. I Can Insert Grammy for Rather You Are on Target You on the Money. Appreciate Your Program for My Parts Where You Played Cannot Big Time. Glancing out Mom Played Very Well Played, Will That Means A Lot and I Thank You for Listening Felicity Station Is Networking for This Program Where Little Bit Different. I Sit down with My Fellow Caregivers and a Cup of Coffee and We Talk the Journey and How We Can Strengthen Ourselves and It Always Comes Back to the Word of God and I've Been Doing This Long Enough to Know That We Don't Need a How-To Manual.

We Need to Go Back to the Word of God and Anchor Herself so That When These Trials of These Tribulations of These Tests Come in Whatever Basis Us Each Day Is Caregivers That We Can Anchor Ourselves of This and That These Hymns Help Us Do That. So Thank You for Your Kind Words Art and You Let You Get to Study and and down: Anytime All Right. Later, Thank You, Mark. This Show Is Designed to Increase in This Because I Learned a Long Time Ago and I Get into the Story Well If You Want to Be a Part of the Program. 888-589-8840 888-589-8848 Take This Right up to the Break, but Some Years Ago As a Caregiver and I Don't Know If I've Ever Shared This on This Program I Shared It on Others but I Was in a Very Very Difficult Place and It Was It Was It Was Heartbreaking It Was and I Was Just I Was Really I Couldn't Sleep I Was Exhausted and Just Not in a Good Place to Try to Check Himself into a Local Mental Health Facility in Nashville.

We Lived in Nashville for Many Years That I Walked in and I Was Just so I Was so Lost and so Discouraged and I Stood There at the Doorway in the People to Diss That Are You Lost and I Kind of Teared up and I Said Yeah I Think I and Said You Guys Take Walk-Ins and He Looked at Me Kind of Odd, Which I Thought Was Limited Celtic Is out That This Is a Mental Health Hospital That Cannot Be the Weirdest Question. Jeff Got and They Took Me Back to Back Room That Look like You Seen Better Days.

They Took My Wallet Took My Keys to Public Pressure and He Sent Me This Room. The Counselor Came in and We Talked for A While and I Think I Just Kind of Verbally Followed It for about a Hour and 1/2 Just Kind of Poured It All out.

The Counselor Looked at Me and Said What You Know We We Can Keep You Here.

You're Not Crazy Lesson We Can Get That in Writing Because There's A Lot Of People That Would Want to See That She Left She Said No You Know You Burn out and I Can Give You Some Names of Some Counselors and You Can See She Gave a Couple about When Someone All He Wanted Was Give Me Meds That Doesn't Help Me and What That Was What I Needed and That Just Didn't Go Anywhere.

But She Said Such. He Said Two Things to Me What I Was.

She Said We Got Box Lunches Have We Been Given out All Day Long and We Got One Left You Want and I Said Yes Ma'am, I Do It Was to the Fish and I've Never Turned out a Tuna Fish Sandwich My Whole Life Wasn't about to Start. As I Was Leaving with My Little Box Lunch in My Hand Went to the Park but She Said You Know I Recommend a Book for You to Read Your the Got a Right That I Set There in My Car to Sandwich Thought about That Woman I Say to Fellow Caregivers and Then I Thought What Would I Say to Myself, I Thought about a Young Man That Was 22 Villanova Gracie Asked Her to Marry Me and Get Married. Two Weeks after My 23rd Birthday Dumber Than a Box. I Have Stated That Young Man. That's What This Program Is 880-589-8840. I'm Peter Rosenberger and This Is Your Caregiver Minute. Most Caregivers Readily Take Someone Else to See a Physician, but What Was the Last Time We Saw Our Physician, We Often Grow so Weary of Taking Others to a Doctor's Office at the Thought of Going to Another One Order Taking Time off of Work Again.

888-589-8841 of the joys of my life was be able to hear Gracie and Russ Taft sing that song that was was just such a treat and that I love the way the dock at one of the park so that you get that on her CD, resilient that it hopefully caregiver.com and follow instructions, see how to get that.

Let's go to Devon Texas. Deb knows the song Deb, tell me about the song that I played a block this morning. Good morning, and how you feel about the way Deb doing great here and we heard the song and I like and our children practice money from the Christian school and not endocrine children were there as well and I worked there and got preschool and selling the children and that song with a favorite of my who passed away a couple years ago and that one of the last cam that he take before he went home at the song like the other gentlemen on the bottom line and got back a lot of memories for the guided the plane crash happened and down so much to my husband, and every time I hear it now. I think itback in the 80s Melody Greene were here quite welcome and I love that as well and it is is it's for caregivers.

It's also hard to know where's sure footing is we we get we get so disoriented in the journey. It is so difficult and and this song is bedrock, there is sure footing on this song and in what melody wrote in this is just extraordinary and it gives us a anchoring of what's real, which is, there is a Redeemer is Jesus, God's own son and then it takes is in that place of thanksgiving which is thank you, oh my father for giving us your son Cicero said the gratitude is the parent of all of the virtues and I believe that because we we we we as believers should be more grateful than anyone else on this planet and it it it should exude from us is just as gratitude. Thank you.

Oh my father, forgive us your son and then we affirm that he's left to spirited to the work on earth is done and it's just it's an extraordinary so that anchors us back into reality when reality seems awful murky and I appreciate you sharing the story of getting to know the children of this family.

This is extraordinary family. It was a hard day with when I took Ethan kids and it just it was a hard day but it's one he left. What a legacy he left and and where were grateful for it. So I got a whole bunch of calls and evidently resonating with this. I want to jump in real quick to these, but I appreciate very much your calling Deb. I really do thank you for your program yes ma'am appreciate you Day David in Louisiana David good morning, how are you feeling what I am feeling great. Wonderful to be able to copy your show for a long long time. I played music with the Lord I'm 6069 and you play all he told 30 years ago I started my journey with the Lord play music at First Baptist Church in Lake Charles and so all the resonate I grew up Baptist so this when I'm not too familiar with, but I just wanted tell you it touches my heart every time I you on the piano. I turned my radio up so I can hear exactly what your point out is play well on playgrounds. That's my main instrument, but when I was incarcerated. I wonderful man taught me how to play bass so and I have an God gave me that so that when I I hear you play. I can hear the bass parts going along with what your plan I get. I wish I guy I was in the drummers. My wife said she caused the Indiana Peter in the Temple of doom and the drummers are just give me what you can do and I love to play along with the good drummer and I have great great respect for bass players as well.

Bass players always seem like the most mellow players they just kinda hang out. They don't get all worked up about the only bass player. I know that it shows any kind of activity is Vernell from Earth wind and fire the rest of the adjusted state of their just a very cool and they just, you know, they just hang tight and I'm glad that you you like the cells, glad that they mean something to you and the mean something to me and I think that I get more letters and emails and calls over these hymns than anything else that we do evidently just strike such a chord with people. David and and I am grateful to be able to introduce them and reintroduce them to people who may not have heard them before and need to hear them now because I think we've done ourselves a terrible disservice in our modern church by getting away from the hymnal and Diane and some of the hymns all play a reference or are 300 years old and in some of them like this one less than 50 years old. There there wonderful wonderful hymns I appreciate very much then you you call and listen to the show you'd like a lot of guys in prison that listen to the program and write me and I treasure every one of those save all those letters, you know, I never cease to be amazed where this program goes whether it's hospitals or hospice or prisons or whatever and that's yeah and it just, you know, and when I get a letter from an inmate recognizing that sometimes this this network is the. The only Jesus, they get the encounter with the only words of comfort and strength and encouragement of salvation. They get to hear and so I am very grateful for that and I were you able to listen to this network. In this program while you are incarcerated or set been too long ago. What was the story of the year and I don't know when I was incarcerated and they are only met my station and this will quickly know your caregiver. I have so much love and respect that I do the same thing. I have a prayer ministry to JK got 10 or 11 young man that I knew I was incarcerated. I still email them. I pray with him on my dad p.m. pawpaw twice in jail and a lot of these guys you know they they don't have family or family wave when young guys 24 and was abused as young as three years old and I so I know all about it man and that I didn't want to share that with you if you want to take too much your time.

I know that you keep doing that because you know Jesus said very clearly sick they get hungry prison thirsty.

This these things he's looking for. You keep doing that we minister out of our wounds and you know you obviously were able to walk with God through your time in prison and you are able to extend the same grace week at wrote pulses were thinking Christians, we comfort one another with the same comfort that we ourselves have been comforted by the God of all comfort. That's what you're doing and I III think I can speak for all the listeners on keep doing it, keep doing okay and a letter a lot of guys it needed pawpaw and you go.

Would you be that pop okay there I go to when you're quite welcome and feel free to call anytime. Stephen and Arkansas Stephen good morning, how are you feeling when. Tell me about what's going on with you all night and that that's me being out on the street. Maybe I should.

Using a picture in the minute she is in much better place. My prayers go thanking she is in a better case I missed what. What about that song remind you that time just screwed crash care. How can people and it was just amazing how I Jack is too small. Maybe one or two people later. Maybe it should imperfect and just so many things occurred it just made more Mr. and we mourn with those morning we grieve with those agrees and Stephen want you to just feel free to call in when she did continue listening get you hymnal and go through some of these hymns that mean something to you and look at the text.

A lot of the great hymns that we we overlooked were written out of great sorrow and great challenges and believe that God God gave us a wonderful gift with these hymns that that anchor us in such difficult times and it is an end course Melody wrote this him and see yourself with such great sorrow losing teeth and her children and get this him and do because the meaning of this. The bedrock of this him is that it sustains us in these these dark moments later I walked to the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou art with many things with you right nasty stuff very much for taking time to call.

We got to go to break, but I do appreciate you listening and taking the time to call. Feel free to call any dispute arose where this is caregiver will be right you ever struggled to trust God when healthy things happen to you.

I'm Gracie Rosenberger in 1983 I experienced a horrific car accident leading 80 surgeries in both legs and became I questioned why God allowed something so brittle to happen to me. I live here actually marrying on land that are landing a right not getting work done on it. I think I'm not letting that guy we married and literally only got married October 3. My grandmother at the courthouse and down and again we had our wedding night when Michael Pratt on November 6 family that we celebrated my grandmother's birthday and we got married.

I had the same Janet Jackson's lifestyle and he went on and I die that together we learn now and he was 11 years older than me a lot like my grandfather to wait. Knowing rating me because my mother had arresting a caring and me at night. I ordered her at 16 and my younger 21 now on helping her on and check the other and they were Army. Pratt grandfather with not targeting Army at a rate there can't make it and thought I meet people that I think Pat a check and can't count my name out there know how I crack semi-wonderful people like my grandmother everything, and my grandfather at my grandfather. I would find a piquant night hyperactive. You can't talk now icon and daddy and Tyler for my father and out on my mommy tonight me and and on that my grandpa is my body, and a rate what was left with an eight was a involved in the church chart. However, we were pretty faithful and my grandmother would talk in church when she was younger and my grandfather on in the Army and stop we were raised on the Bible on Bible and now link to all kinds of different characters on Nazarene now on, but I gravitated straight out of the five point compassion and My cat by now they were God-fearing people are great at bearing my mother ship and I see a lot of my life.

Wrap it up today. Listen I need.

I got a favor to ask of you will next week semihard week for Gracie. 20 years ago. She had several disc in her back to where were falling apart in the future the way they did it. 20 years ago was a kind of pitched affordable bit and AA amputees tend to hyperextended back anyway and so her back is kind of a train wreck, but it's pitched forward and over the years, it's gone even more more. Now she's she can't stand up straight. She's bent over about 40° GSU schemes. It was a time when she didn't have to use can't and CST schemes to push back so she doesn't just lean over and it's it's becoming such a problem that we knew this about eight years ago, but she wasn't physically ready for the surgery. At that point we talk to the chief of neurosurgery at Vanderbilt in Nashville. We lived there we go through an extensive process this year and the surgery is just too big a surgery for any of the hospitals in Montana. That's what they told us we talked to neurosurgeon when the Lord at the largest hospital Montana civil you have to escalate this up to big surgery is the biggest surgery to Gracie's overhead and that's saying something that service into wreck 38 years ago. This will be her 82nd that I can count when you go to Denver and do this will even Sunday night and so will be there surgery Wednesday I think is when she goes in.

As it stands, it's been pushed back and forth because a covert everything else. And this is going to be a very difficult time.

It's it's a very big serious surgery when they have to go in there and refuse all this undo what was done 20 years ago refused to straighten her back up and there a lot of risk involved with this, but her options are for so I would appreciate your prayers. I don't tell people how to care.

Give because I can't tell you how to take care of your loved one anymore than you could tell me how to take care of Gracie. I just share with you what I've learned as I've done it and as I do it.

That's why I play these hymns.

That's what I did this him this morning, which obviously resonated with a lot of people.

There is a Redeemer, Jesus, God's own son precious Lamb of God, Messiah with outstanding glory. I will see you space. There'll serve my king forever that holy meantime we say thank you about five for giving us your side and leaving your spirit to work on earth is that our journey as caregivers at anchor since that's my bit for us to still be a hard several weeks and months to follow and will give you report back on the air.

Meantime, I would appreciate your prayers caregiver.com for more information we'll see you next
