We have a hard time understanding the concept of morning were so busy demanding that God do something to make us feel better, we rage out or we despair but we kept him well and that that's that's left for their support. We get to where you just remarked where we just grieve over but we were not grieving as those in the hope that we are grieving.

We are morning edits in that morning that you that the comfort is there it doesn't it it it's almost counterintuitive because we want to feel better in our society.

Everything is about feeling better and as we see the brokenness in the woundedness of this world.

We recognize it or not, I feel better about these things but we can be stronger and we can be better in it. As we trust God with it that he's redeeming ascriptions is all of creation is groaning and I look out where I live up here the Rockies in Montana. We got a new snowfall and it's absolutely exquisite is so beautiful and as I look at all that pristine beauty.

I also recognize that every bit of that is groaning for the redemption that's waiting that Christ is going to do what we redeems all of this.

It's all groaning and the Holy Spirit groans on our behalf and and it's okay to grieve.

It's okay to mourn.

In fact, it's it we were called to do the six to mourn over the brokenness of this but in that there were comforted knowing that he who began a good work is faithful to complete it to the day of Christ Jesus is sounds like that's exactly where you stand Marilyn this morning that Jeremiah grieving but not like those who have no hope.

And that is such a great model for for the rest of us right now and all that one day.

One commentator, Jonathan Turley, I believe it was that this is a constitutional lawyer, Prof. Georgetown and was told that the jury and what the purpose of the jury is in and I believe that it was a reference Supreme Court justice who many many years ago. Talked about the jury and what they do and and the importance of them and he said 12 people stood between Cal Rittenhouse and the government 12 people stood between Cal Rittenhouse in the media in the mob and everything else that's what juries do they stay between the mob so that there's not mob justice extent between the government so the government just doesn't get heavy-handed and they deliberated at the, the evidence and look at it and arrive at a conclusion and then the conclusion is the law. Berg as far as this person's fate that they may choose to allow this person to go on to receive the punishment that is recommended by the government or whatever, but in this particular case when the jurors but what he said 12 people stood between that individual between Cal Rittenhouse in the mob and the media in the government and everything else and evaluated the case on its merits when he said that phrase I couldn't use me I couldn't help but think about. We have one me, who stands between us and the eternal fires of hell. But in our case, we plead guilty. There is no courtroom drama going on if you want to somehow argue your case before the Almighty, that is a very dangerous place to go but because of what Christ is done, we plead guilty we go straight to execution and we trust his execution on our behalf. One thing Christ stands between us and in eternity in hell, it was just such a picture of it was a soul that I was like I just I don't I just couldn't help with the think about that picture of of the gospel of that we have one man who does this, that we are not left to have to plead her case before the Almighty because if I do plead my case before of of Bob merits before God, I'm in real trouble I'm in real trouble and I don't know anyone else who wouldn't be, and so that's that's the gospel that has nothing to do with anything else. The young man and I didn't even know an American preacher, God for 40 years before he went on to heaven to be with him and what God did for me and having his own way and not in a blessed and all the rest in this song just said everything she thought I didn't know what was going on in my life to changes that took place that he had his way with Myla ago that eight years old. I gave myself the Lord. I didn't grow. I just went along with my own way had him in my heart that God has been so good to me and blessed me in so many ways and I just want you know that your your program this morning has blessed me words list very very gracious of you to say hello. These hymns for the first time on this program and and and that's which breaks my heart because it but it also is is is grateful that were able to do that but it's it's it shows that we've really done a disservice to a lot of people in this country that we have not reminded them pass these things along on why this is important. Why is this hymn important you know, just play, just those just that's just one half measures and people. People it takes him back to their childhood to take some back to you when you were struggling with you. You were you thought you love this one fell in that this would work it out in the Lord shows you to submit it to somebody different things that connect our lives. The back story of this is that she was struggling because she's trying to raise money to go to Africa on the mission field, but this hymn has done more to point people to Christ than anything she could've ever done and she wrote this out of that struggle with. I think cost what it what a teachable moment that is that you are I just I it's it's hard to it's it's really hard to wrap your mind around how God can take these these moments we think are so filled with confusion or frustration. Everything else and then flip it in such a powerful way that it the impact will be felt for who knows how long had for for who knows how many millions of people including you and me and Homer, I thank you for that I thank you for that encouragement of the and and that you listen I know that you're out there and it means a lot. Teresa good morning Teresa how are you feeling good morning Peter, I am feeling really well and I just want to tell you. First off, I started my Christian on screen right here that I just get so excited.

I still have several videotapes in this how we were baptized in the summer of 82 and you think he had just passed away at that time that called call requesting prayer for my friend Nikki and I had called you. I think early early in the spring last this last year and she was taking care of her mother-in-law with Alzheimer's and cancer then with cerebral palsy, and at that time, her husband and been diagnosed with cancer and he sent passed away in July for anyway.

She decided to go to Bible school and was working really hard taking care of her sign in doing that and now went in for a checkup. They found cancer on her thyroid and she had surgery Thursday and and they were able to get it all. It was kind and tangled around some nerves and things that I did with the prognosis with the prognosis plan is for her bubbly radiation and chemo and and then go from there you know is going to be zero you know who was there for her to help with her mother and/or her son.

The couple that she lived with while she was in high school for a while that they are taken care of her son Al Washington Hospital and now I'm not sure after that. Not sure how things are going to go her dad becoming K helper to some where.

What city did she live in Manhattan. Listen Kansas will I will appreciate you letting us know and put that on the list right here as we lift her up, and prayers. This is young woman who's got a young child in her and she is as you say she's in her 30s. She had her 30th birthday last week, Eric two weeks ago some awful lot on the young woman and we we certainly recognize how massive this journey is and let her father's coming and that this other couple this joining in with them around him and no special needs child. She's got a mother with Alzheimer's. She's get a heavy heavy journey ahead of and II don't understand these things and I will never make any pretense of doing it just sometimes you just you see these things and and Teresa need just grown think Lord and I hear she is a widow with 30 with a special needs child and the Lord clearly commands us with widows and orphans and this is our journey as believers and so I hope that there's a local church and the community around there that will take this on as she goes to this difficult. Of of taking care of her son while recuperating herself in dealing with this. The radiation and so forth is going to be very difficult for chemo whatever plan they have and so I II grown of this is she's wounded and weary as the hymn says touch me and heal me, Savior divine and and I I don't understand this. I don't understand why God does what he does in the six and not only do I not understand.

I don't know that I can't understand and and II don't know that I even have the when I'm confident I don't have the capabilities to understand it even if he told BYU student and so we trusted without. I don't know any other path, but that but to trust him and say you Lord you have that only thou art the Potter and the clay. Mold me and make me after that will why am waiting, yielded and still.

But would you let Nikki know that we as a collective good. In fact, you know, I've only got about a minute left here Lord we don't understand and we we hear this heartbreaking story of this young woman who is caring for her special needs, such as caring for her mother thought her husband just passed away and she's only 30 and now she's dealing with this very difficult challenge of cancer since your near to the broken hearted father. This woman's broken heart that I would ask for comfort for her strength for her clarity of direction for assistance around for healing for her for all of these things we don't understand lately. May Teresa be a source conduit to that tooth that she can communicate this back to Nikki and your family. Pray for her father sees coming in after going through this issue with Teresa's mother of Alzheimer's. This family is hurting father we lift them up and I know that there are people all over this listing audience who are joining their voices with me on this and ask for mercy and were asking you for comfort and strength and perseverance, and we do all this, not because of our own merits, but we do this father because there is one man who stands between us and disaster and that is Christ Jesus, and we do it on his nine hours and we thank you for Jesus name amen Teresa, thank you so much for letting us know this and thank you for the call appreciate that very much.
