Set to the tune, FINLANDIA, Be Still My Soul" remains one of the most treasured hymns of the Christian faith. It's timeless message reflects a Biblical response to our prone to fret and worry about things beyond our control. The stress and challenges of caregiving often cause our anxieties to near deafening levels. We discussed this on the show ...and how this hymn speaks to our anxious hearts.

My loveliest people to do differently to the phones and so forth on Alexa and other things and so would let have all of you here as we come together to strengthen the family caregiver that individual who puts himself knowingly and willingly, voluntarily, without pay between a vulnerable love one. And even worse disaster.

Maybe it's a disease. Maybe it's a disability.

Maybe it was trauma that led to a disability.

Maybe it was the event like a stroke. Maybe it's alcoholism or addiction is a chronic impairments. Maybe it's aging. There's all types of different things that are going on that afflict human beings there's always a cure and you are in the right place. 888-589-8840 888-589-8840 40 Oliver Southwest Montana will cut no kid 5 inches of stuff with this.

So here we are almost June, but we did it because last year we had a pretty rough fire season lot of dry ground and we don't need the drought so I'm glad for the moisture and the snow will clear up your couple days rest of the country was enjoying nice balmy weather but we have a cold and snowy appear in the Rockies, but we we do love it and it's beautiful and it's it's great to see before you get Scripture first is give away the song sung to step over to the caregiver keyboard and I want to give you the song for today were to talk about this throughout the show.

And if you know the song.

This is your time to call in 8885 8.80 840 and then tell me whether some is important to you to tie this into the to the family caregiver so I'm stepping over here to the caregiver keyboard. Are you ready I do know that so eight 885-8988 voted for the whole thing. It's a little bit long but I wanted to talk about this on the may play the whole thing will bit later on the show with 888-589-8840 if you know that someone to tell you a story that has and that I have spent a lot of time in the hospital over the years, Gracie, to my knowledge, has had, now 80 surgeries I can count hundred 50 other smaller procedures and this is been going on since her correct back in 1983. So when I get to the hospital with her. There's usually a lot of activity and that was that was much the norm for us, and I'm running around and doing stuff in trying to coordinate with kids and all that stuff that was that was her life for many many years this particular time in my life got it working on quite a few things and for whatever reason I was not frenetic never get frenetic at the hospital you you just run around and just you like a chicken. We had cut off and those of you had lots of hospital visits and forth you just kind of target so many things done and you're on your phone. Whatever. What I was. That was my normal thing but I wasn't doing that. This time, and I was just sitting there beside her. I was actually looking at the menu for that night. Just what would an order from the hospital cafeteria. How many of you all of spent a lot of time in the hospital cafeteria is very quiet in the room. Gracie was postop she was done on monitors and she was resting and I looked over at her and she was blue and she stopped breathing immediately got the nurse in and they call the code team and she had coded put into respiratory arrest code blue and I didn't that hospital many times just countless times that there people that showed up in that room that I had never seen before me. Like SWAT team versus stuff and they intubated. And I stayed right there in Cullman and got you everything got sorted in the unit figured out I see you yeah yeah you what sleeveless application. There I was doing nothing.

I was just sitting there sitting she coded had I not been there had been out doing all the normal activities that I was used to doing and was known for doing. She did is just that simple. And it was it was a scary thought but postoperative with Gracie can be a bit dicey and sometimes with pain management stuff they they hit the mark and sometimes they they missed the mark. This is one of those times really missed the mark in and I was there I was where I was supposed to be. I was doing nothing and was able to save her life. Often times is caregivers. We feel like it's all up to us if were not doing something. And if were not looking like were doing something then we don't feel settled in our own spirits infinitely. It is that you get is somehow just be a flurry of activity and that is when I started to embrace the concept that a friend shared with me. We said never doubt the power of inactivity as a difficult concept for caregivers because we are a flurry of activity and are still way up on me and I make no mistake, I'm not saying these things like I just sit around and watch TV all the time I get fussed at quite often, my friends, it could Gracie just I work from home so the phone is by about my office if you will, and always have a Bluetooth on and I'm working out to media interviews and all that Stuff while cleaned the kitchen and I don't really make many apologies about it if you hear clattering in the background I got for medical bit what types don't you ever just sit down and talk doesn't know I things to do, but I've learned that there are times what I need to just sit down and do nothing and I will give away the song just to do nothing because that is self unpacked that more once you tell me what that song is 888-589-4888 by having this hope this is the show for as a family can go this Peter Rosenberg at about 3 1/2 decades as a caregiver.

I've spent my share of night hospital sleeping and waiting rooms on foldout cot shares. Even the floor sometimes on sofas and a few times in the doghouse. But let's still talk about that as caregivers we have to sleep at uncomfortable places but we don't have to be miserable. We use pillows for my pillow.com. These things are great to have a patented interlocking feel that adjusting your individual sleep needs and for caregivers. Try to sleep in all the different places we have to sleep leave me our needs get ripped up significantly.

Think about how clean your pillows are in the covert world were all fanatical about cleaning. Can you wash your pillows with my pillows for my pillow.com we throw them in the washer and dryer. We do it all the time 10 year warranty guarantee not to go flat 60 day moneyback guarantee made in the USA is a caregiver you need rest. I going to my pillow.com type in the promo code caregiver you get 50% off the four pack which includes two premium pillows and to go anywhere, pillows also receive a discount on anything else on the website.

When using your promo code caregiver is my pillow.com promo code caregiver and Emily were doing special trouble for this month we get a pretty good size shipment that were putting together to send over to Ghana we been working there for 16 years now and we train and equip local workers to build prosthetic limbs for their own people. We don't take teams of people, but we can't do that right now with the covert, but we do send over supplies we recycle prosthetic limbs and you guys are great to help get the word out to let people know that you can recycle prosthetic limb and he goes to prison in Arizona and the are of the runabout group out to see called core civic and we didn't great friends with them for many years and inmates volunteer to disassemble the legs forks and we can recycle the foot. The deed the pylon the screws it after the connectors, the prosthetic socks. Some of the liners and sleeves. The belt systems almost into things could be reused that will make a custom leg over there weekly biomaterial for that but we got up of shipment.

Now that needs to get out of the prison get over there and so if you want to be a part of that and help get that word out and in and help lift others up you can go to standing with hope.com today and be involved with that and donate or go to my website. Hope the caregiver you will take you there and for one time donation of 250 or more rigorous integration CD my CD in my book.

And just as a gift to speak one time thing would just want to get this big shipment going and I were doing other things right now to offset the fact that we cannot go we we sponsor one of our patients is that we been treating since 2006 and he is finishing up his bachelor's degree were helping pay some of his tuition to get his degree so that he can go out. He should be a teacher. He's been above the a PT for some time and we would put a leg on him and so forth. So a lot of different things that you can be a part of it. If you like what you hear it on the show if it's been meaningful to you. Be a part of and help us do more and do it better and thank you very much. I we got a lot of folks that are calling and and and want to talk about the so just give you a little taste of adherence is wonderful him and it ties in with what we want to talk about today so that if somebody else gets assaulted you know it that's okay because I want to hear how the song is meaningful to you so so don't don't just hang up because you didn't get the name of the song because you obviously have a connection with this also would like for you to hear it and and and share with others why the soul is important to Lisko to one of my favorite that I've ever talked to the host usually gushes but listen for long time.

Homer Homer in Oklahoma.

Homer good morning how you feeling good morning Peter much better after hearing your performing about particular case it's one really has powerful meaning for me because it lifts my heart in times of stress. Be still my soul. I love that you know Mike Alberts tell me tell you why it's one of your favorites drill down on that little bit. Well I'm something of a musician myself, but over the years it's become more understood that music experiences the soul is the language of the soul and in my darkest times I can always go to that intelligent design has an effect on the be still my soul winning plate as you just did with great inflection reinforces that God is present, God is alive and God's troops and for me. Most recently, I've joined a bereavement group facilitator as a participant and music is always introduced in the group is powerful and not pieces powerful. It is that I think that is a great word for, it is a powerful him from stipulated caregiver keyboard, read the text here.

Be still my soul the Lord is on the side there patiently the cross of grief or pain leave to thy God, to order and provide in every change you faithful will remain. Be still muscle died best. I heavenly friend through thorny ways leads to a joyful that is a text that will be around for a very, very, very long time and it is that you don't. This is why do the hymns on the show because is nothing against a lot of the writers are writing. One of the wonderful things right now.

But these are these are these hymns reflects something different to me and the anchor be theirs adapts to have the they stood the test of time and and I love these hymns so Homer impressed that you got it. Glad that you got it because it is a it is a great him and I appreciate you listen to the show. So thank you for that over. Thank you.

I Barbara and Ohio Barbara good morning, how are you feeling I'm thank you, Walid already. Buyer work as I only remembered the title of the son not not the word there.

It's a longer sentence slower so it's not meant to be some kind of faster plunked out, you know, I one of things that don't particularly like is when people just plunk out these hymns play them with the respect that the text deserves and and you know when you have a text of that elicited the server. Gracie does this on her CD, she did she combine it. She did it a cappella. I didn't have it loaded this morning. I'm sorry for that.

That's my bad, but she she leaves off and be still muscle a cappella then goes into balm in Gilead and it's it's a wonderful arrangement but listen this third this third verse be still muscle.

I don't have my glasses on Barbara so you have to bear with me.

This getting old is not everything is theirs in the brochure. Be still my soul, but I'll read this glass always at the big things bigger. This is really bears a gal but this is part get old.

I guess I'll look it up and do it, but it's a lovely the last line of the Gracie does with it. Look it up but it's it's the text of this thing just drives home this reverence and settling down of of our lives so that we can focus right there on what God is doing and he be still my soul died.

Jesus can repay from his own fullness. All he takes away that I can read now had to look it up. That's embarrassing deal we still muscle when dearest friends, depart, and all was dark and in the veil of tears, then shalt thou better know his love, his heart who comes to sue thy sorrow and I fears.

Be still my soul that Jesus can repay from his own fullness. All he takes away and that is a that is a soul anchoring text is Barbara it really works to give to my friend I tell you I have something on my heart. I don't know if you know the answer to it and the other night night when my very best friend for caregiving or high spend now for the last past year or more and merit and not a ticket to the hospital and I'm sure the family request came here to pray.

Then click request included the family says don't bother Pat Mary and she needed to rest and I said in my journal all my heart aches for her and her family tried to protect her, because I know she spent in the weary that she needs to know that we care so he send her a message with no words or a short prayer or Scripture whatever the Lord gives you. I went there I wish weary. I wish spent but I also felt very alone and I didn't know my family did the same state. I didn't know about it until later will there is a she is weary and she is spent and she doesn't want, need or want to distantly talk about it if she does, that's her decision.

Sit down with the messianic rabbi for an interview that I will put out next week that I hope you will listen to. We talk about the concept of Shiva and how it relates to the family caregiver's Shiva is it that they call the sitting Shiva and that is what they do in the Jewish culture been doing it for thousands of years. And when when when the bereaved is sitting there quietly and people sit with that person. But they don't initiate the conversation. They just sit and let them initiate you don't want to give an anecdote you don't trust some kind of nice, funny story about their love one, or whatever. You just sit there with and then let them speak as they feel a need to as the process would happen if you could see an evidence of that in Scripture and Job 213 when Job's friends so that his sorrow was was so great, they just sit there with them for seven days. Didn't say a word and in fact when they started talking. That's when the wheels came off theologically what they were saying but but that's that's that your friend that you would me.

Sometimes we just need to sit and we don't need people to tell us whether in a better place for God has a plan of this they don't need to try really to try to offer something we could just be with the been one of the things the rabbi said was that that you put that one thing you can do is you can hold her hand and put your hand on top of their hand and that is one of the most poignant signs of discomfort, just just wholly during that's it, you're with them. I have a walk to the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou art with me. And in that presence of just being with us.

In it he NS with the whole the word Immanuel means you know God with us. And that's the whole point of so Barbara, thank you for sharing that and thank you for just give us opportunity to talk about that with your friend and grateful that the sunbeams of beryllium had well appreciate you projectionist we got to go to break, this is Peter Rosenberger. This is hopefully caregiver caregiver.com would lead him with this be still my soul Lord is on this is that something that anchors him something that means something to 888-5880 858-0888 589-8840 888-589-8840 or so on this morning reflects a journey for us as caregivers and love these old hymns in it and I like to play in a way that makes sense to my myself and in to give respect to the text. This is be still my soul between new believers can lend you and you can just get, you know I don't like it when people take the kids like this and I hate that. Listen with this text is saying the text is saying we still muscle in his eye that this was driven home to me. As I said earlier, as I was sitting there in the hospital with Gracie, and I was just being still and I looked over and she encoded. If I had to been. Still, she did not and I used to think that is a caregiver I'm supposed to just run run run all the time time time and sometimes I'm not supposed to do that I'm supposed to just be still and in you. If you look through Scripture. You'll see tons and tons tons of Scriptures about being still before God. Psalm 62 five for God alone might owe my soul, wait in silence for my hope is from him.

Psalm 46 to be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Exodus 1414 the Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent. Psalm 37. Seven. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. Fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way over the menu carries out evil desires and Jesus of course when my favors usually wakes up he said to the bottom of the boat of the disciples are freaking out. He just looks at the stores is peace be still. He speaks to the wind and the waves. This is this is the message throughout all the Scripture of learning to be still, God is God all by himself.

He doesn't meet our flurry of activity tracking with me on this as caregivers.

I know we have to do a lot of task, and the king of multitasking it out, but there are times we have to practice intentional stillness.

Be still my soul the Lord is on my side was go to Judy in Illinois. Judy good morning, how are you feeling this morning Judy I'm going to pop as it is this, but is this my friend Judy.

The Baker Lakes gets up early morning makes all kinds of stuff.

I will dream about my granddaughter gaining weight. Just think about it what's going on with you today. I was raised in a parochial school him all the time and it's different. We do everything to him and I really met him.

They minister to me so much more than solids working on today on the screen a couple weeks ago I fell in church got a big burn on my knee that I was on my way to the suggestion box to put suggestion that maybe we could have equal time for the him because nobody in our church. They don't know the song and it just sounds like you're Ali by yourself and I met him I like Barbara, for me, I don't always remember all the words that just the music ministers to me. I will marry for 50 years before I was a little and over the 58 year there were 14 different times people came to live with and I took care of them and I've never had anything as intense as you've been through, but I've been to 1730. Major surgeries in the last eight years and take care of other people I'm trying to recuperate myself and sometimes you get very very wary. Just something you have to step five with God and the client and that you do it. Sometimes it takes living a little bit of life to understand. I do think the pendulum will save here and you guys can verify this around the country.

But I do think the pendulum is going to swing a little bit back towards the great hymns of the church because they are the lately stand up.

They have depth to have structure musically that the him know the church hymnal is basically the you know and and course block was the father of church music and he was steep deeply in the Reformation. In his theology was was so solid and it came out in his music. In fact, a lot of foot not all of it on everyone but vast majority for this is his compositions had SDG at the end of the facility.

Gloria to God alone is the glory and and so the hymnal reflexes the way it's structured the way that the harmonization is done and it works it.

It works musically it's it's it's it's soul satisfying. Musically, that's a longer conversation to have but the way the structure of the hymns work.

I learned how to read music before I learned how to read. It works I was seeing music on the hymnal as my mother held it for me in church and I didn't see couldn't make out what was going on between the states of that the you know the status of the music, but I could see that the notes in the shapes and everything else and I was just a little kid.

So this is this is important for us to have the hymnal. With this we are missing out of the and I think people are going back to because there's nothing like a global pandemic and the unsettled.

This is going on in the world today to drive people back to things that have substance people are looking to stand on solid ground and they're tired of all the stuff that just you a lot of songs today that come out of filled with personal reflection and personal fulfillment and psychobabble and all that come stuff but when you hearest a text like this be still my soul the Lord is on the side that that doesn't need any embellishment. It's there. It is right there it, it's applicable right now to us as a family caregivers because we are a frenetic bunch we are a frantic bunch and if we can learn to intentionally settle ourselves down. Then we have that then you can you can watch what happens at us physically, emotionally and spiritually bear patiently the cross of grief or pain leave to thy God, to order and provide know that that one alone is the whole show on that lead to thy God to do it not you. It is not all up to me it is not up to me.

Gracie has a Savior. I am not that Savior you tracking with me and and and and and every change he will faithful faithful will remain. Be still my soul that Best Buy heavenly friend through thorny ways leads to a joyful in and ultimately that's reached taking this is taking us to a joyful edit of the process, revealing things about himself. Along the way sanctifying us through this process of just learning to be still and that that's I think Judy I believe this I believe that you go to see a shift more more of people wanting to hear these great hymns of the faith and and to learn about to embrace her as a child I wanted to play the panel how bad that I would like to can I have a eye problem follow the faith for fond of the word in the book. I can't even read because of bad word to get very fun family and I started to read as well reading and in what version can you do that again. No, no agreement.

The 17 times it would come out different every time. I really struggle with that and that that had a date. I become weary. I just had I I couldn't stand anymore in that plan had been weeks without complete. I'm trying my best to help a penpal from Jekyll Fellowship event penpal for 17 years and everything to things to go so bad from time that can fit therein. Okay with him. I know he's going to be okay, but it's hard. It's really hard. I may not be caregiving 24 seven think I'm up in the middle of the night and I'm on the computer I'm reading when you do those things. Judy just remember this first lesson in home it to yourself, you still must soon lose just this. If you would give her nothing else.

Be still my soul the Lord is on the ISA in the middle night.

That's all you can do it even with dyslexia and everything else that will come out right every time.

Be still my soul the Lord is on. I said Judy you are a delight.

As always, go make you creampuff make one for me, but aside for and you are a delight and I love hearing from you and thank you so much for giving me a call okay this is Peter Rosenberg… Hopefully caregiver. This is the show for you as a family. Eight 885-8988.

Be still my soul the Lord on my side.

Their patient cross of grief or pain here is this is for you as a caregiver leave to thy God order level has still must pay the speed. Rosenberg never helped somebody walk for the first time I've had that privilege many times through our organization. Standing with hope when my wife Gracie gave up both of her legs follow this horrible Rick that she had as a teenager and she tried to save them for years and if it just wouldn't work out. And finally she relinquished him and thought wow this is that I'm not happy legs anymore. What can God do with that and then she had this vision for using prosthetic limbs as a means of sharing the gospel to put legs on her fellow amputees and that's what we been doing now since 2005 was standing with hope.

We work in the West African country of Ghana and you can be a part of that through supplies through supporting team members through supporting the work that we're doing over there, you can designate a limb. There's all kinds of ways that you can be a part of giving the gift that keeps on walking and standing with hope.com what you take a moment to go out to standing with hope.com and see how you can give they go walking and leaping and praising God.

You could be a part of that@standingwithhope.com like what you know the show.

The show means of part of sport rehab thing going for this month working on getting a shipment together, sit over to Africa for this prosthetic limb outreach that we been doing for 16 years.

It was Gracie's vision to do it after she lost both of her legs and we got a lot of parts and equipment to ship could use your help to do it one time gift of $250 will send you her CD my CD and my book, hopefully caregiver and we thank you very much for being a part of what were doing were talk about being still. By the way I want to think of Alyssa Bobby in North Carolina called and he doesn't use a computer very much which God bless you for that is, is how do I do this want to donate something and you just sit it even mail just good regular snail mail PO Box 250 McAllister, MT 59740 PO Box 250 McAllister, MT 59740 make it outstanding with city with hope especially sponsor everything we do here on the show and is the overarching ministry that we we created here many years ago Grace and I did. It is for the wounded and those who care for and abort about being still and and what that means to assist caregivers and NII that lead to thy God, to order and provide a love that line and then I will take this is an embarrassing story.

We let you know you're used to this by now be shared embarrassing stores, but some years ago back in 2004 Gracie was invited by the White House to sing at the Republican national convention in New York at Madison Square Garden's and she opened up the second night of that convention and they flows up there and were up there together and it was it was it was wonderful and is wonderful to have the put us in the Waldorf-Astoria. Nice place and she got up and did her thing and really did a great job. She's she really brought it and in fact you see the at the end of it. If you ever watch the video with the slothful list for social media really took off, but the camera ends up on Gov. Mrs. Huckabee in the audience and they were just beaming and it was it was just wonderful to well you wish was to go home. I think that the next day or so or that Thursday out, whatever. Two days later.

This was on Tuesday night and the, the White House called the RNC had been doing all the stuff the Republic. This committee been doing all the logistics, the White House said they want to Gracie on the platform with the president when he gave his nomination acceptance speech raising me on the platform think they said that take me with a really wanted Gracie and so were sent the Waldorf-Astoria to that place is not cheap. By the way, I just want you to know that in case you're wondering, that is not a cheap place to stay and they said nice and then the RNC was a no you go on home and you need to get on playing go home. The White House and say no, you stay here. He will take care of and I think I'm watching the dollar signs increase because if I'd if if this things will start my pockets. Go start being hit with a couple nights of the Waldorf-Astoria changing planes around flights. All I can stuff it on. Think about this is not cool and in no is it a mild panic and I remember actually called my father down South Carolina and accessing Gracie call received which you talk to your side and I was you had a just snort and blow it and try to figure out what to do, what to do and that's it just desist for still be still be still.

The second rocking chair. There is a nice rocking chair there in the in the Waldorf-Astoria in a room and I sit down and steer and I just that I was I was just blowing. I was like a horse after a race.

I just settled, self, and I just sit down to Gracie look to be just rolled her eyes and I just sit down and I was still an hour and half later we got a call and they said not so good. We got it. The lowlight equipment and if you go we actually made the cover of a couple magazines give her the right of the present shoulder and Gracie wore her tissues because he has better footing, but she left her purse and everything downstairs in the green room and so would we went up there, you could go back down once you get there. So you see, Chris.

She cleared to the spirits of that were were sitting right by the present.

We a lot of different magazines and so forth. It was a lot of fun, but it all worked out, but I had to learn to sit down and be still believed to thy God, to order and decide never have those kinds of moments we have to just be still that this is not yours to fix these and that that's embarrassing to me these are embarrassing things without my whole life is filled with embarrassing things that I've had to learn and so you know you just but but but I see the principal it the Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent. Exodus 14 for you know of Psalm 131 two but I have combed and quieted my soul like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me in Job 624 teach me and I will be silent make me understand how it gone astray. Isaiah 3217 and the effect of righteousness will be peace in the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever. This is our journey as caregivers, can we intentionally calm ourselves and be still tell our souls to be still in the midst of all the craziness Judy in Ohio. Judy good morning, how are you feeling are well and call the people call you and knowing Kevin I have been dating for you. Just wait until home, knowing what I'm going to be going through a healthy medical adapter, but is going to be competent different and scary.

It is, it is that's that's the that's the reason we have the conversation because there are scary things out there, there.

I think it is worked up if it wasn't scary.

We went up to tell ourselves to be still right in my road on my blackboard slowdown and got in town me with Psalm 4610 for a while. It in my bedroom on my wall. So I think you I didn't know the thought, but it surely will. It is the it is a great hymn for us as caregivers to be still our soul, be still and know that I'm God.

Psalm 4060 and I will be exalted among the nations of the exhaust of the earth. Be still and know that I am God. There's an old beast is no implied that a long time but it's it's a great when I tell you what I'd like to do if it's all right with you, Judy. I want to have them get your information if I'd like to send you my CV is called Psalms for the caregiver and it is just hymns and Gracie sings about half of them. I played the rest of all of them and but there hymns in there that I think that in this hymn is on there. She sings a cappella and it's on there and it's I think you'll find it very meaningful to you can get this Dell of the CD added iTunes and Amazon everything else. Also the caregiver wherever yellow digital music but you can.

I think this'll be meaningful to you as you go through this next chapter in your life, your that you when you when you get to that point we couldn't get agitated and get scary and it is scary Judy.

It is scary that then we calm ourselves down with these things and remember that he is God leave to thy God, to order and decide your husband has a Savior you're not that Savior and as he goes into this place that the thing that I hope that you hang onto is that you will you will remember that God is already there were your husband is he's on their and when you can't be there when you are apart from him, God is there with okay he's already there.

I member when Gracie gave up her leg back 30 years ago this the spring this year and she said she'd been try to hold on to dislike for a lot of this is the first amputation and and she said later she said I didn't know what was on the other side of that operating room door, but I knew who was okay and I called I will call and I got about a minute, but your lack unity. I would like to call we get we get one more.

Judy will have the trifecta here will don't go away.

I will put you on hold will put you on hold over to get your information I will send you the CD and just listen to it when you get scared. Listen to it when it gets a little bit gnarly and if if I hit the wrong button and they got call back and we'll get it, but I will subdue the CD and I think you'll be very comforting to you. Okay you already. This is what we're doing here on the show is learning how to calm our soul.

And please don't think for one moment that I own this okay, everything I'm saying here. I need for you all to say it back to me. That's the whole point.

We got to remind each other these things this this is where the battle is for us as caregivers. All the past.

Those are wearisome.

Those are Monday. Those are fixing and all those things. But the real battle is that we are so wet you are so frightened you're so unsettled and that we hear this great text be still my soul the Lord is on the side leave to thy God, to order and provide the spirit of hope. Hopefully caregiver.come will see you next. This is John Butler and I produce hope for the caregiver with Peter Rosenberger.

Some of you know the remarkable story of Peter's wife Gracie and recently Peter talk to Gracie about all the wonderful things that have emerged from her difficult journey. Take a listen Gracie. When you envision doing a prosthetic limb outreach.

Did you ever think that inmates would help you do that, not in a million years.

When you go to the facility run by core civic and you see the faces of these inmates that are working on prosthetic limbs that you have helped collect from all of the country that you put out the plea for and their disassembly sell these legs like what you have your own prosody and arms and arms everything when you see all this.

What is the duty makes me cry because I see the smiles on their faces and I know I know what it is to be locked in place where you can't get out without somebody else allowing you to get out course been in the hospital so much and so long and so that these men are so glad that they get to be doing as as one man said something good family with my hands. Did you know before you became an amputee that parts of prosthetic limbs could be recycled now had no idea and I thought a peg leg. I thought of wooden legs. I never thought of titanium and carbon lags and flex the sea legs and all that. I never thought about that as you watch these inmates participate in something like this, knowing that there there helping other people don't walk there, providing the means for the supplies to get over there. What is it do to you.

Just on the heart level.

I wish I could explain to the world. What I see in here and I wish that I could be able to go and say the this guy right here Denise go to Africa with that. I never not feel that way out every time you know you always make me have to leave. I don't want to leave them. II feel like I'm at home with them and I feel like that we have a common bond that would've never expected that only God could put together.

Now that you've had experience with it what you think of the faith-based programs. The core civic offers. I think they're just absolutely awesome and I think every prison out there should have faith-based programs like this because the return rate at the man that are involved in this particular faith-based program and other ones like it, but I know about this one are.

It is just an amazingly low rate compared to those who don't happen and I think that says so much that has anything to do with me just has something to do with God using somebody broken to help other broken people. If people want to donate or use prosthetic limbs, whether from a loved one who passed away or you know somebody well groomed. You've donated some of your own for the did it how to how to do that now.
