"I wish had a different testimony, but sadly I do not!"

One of the reasons I wanted Chonda to call the show, is because she brings such candor and authenticity to her humor ...to the delight of hundreds of thousands.  While no stranger to heartache and grief, Chondra continues to open her life and see it with tear-filled eyes and a whole lot of laughter.

In this frank and funny interview, Chondra demonstrates why she is one of the most successful comedians ...EVER!

The blonde extensions LOL yeah I think that Eric upload a couple of skunk swung around.

You have a white middle and the approbation metal. Now it's it's a beautiful thing with John.

I'm very excited because keeping with my theme of having top notch comedians on this you this is a lady ever wanted to have on here for a long time a long time.

I work very hard to get her on it at the worst. When I called her manager. He said well did Buxton box he makes is that what we'll see what we could do so I don't know what all went behind the scenes, but she feared to Shonda Pierce, Shonda.

Welcome to the show we are glad to have you with may have me post on Facebook. So I hear you like my membrane is that you're talking to two of them right now will sorry about that.

I love all in on the family, don't tell Sirius XM 131 were live. If you want to call in 877-655-6755 877-655-6755 if you want to be a part of the show Sean that the reason I'm having comedians on and I want comedians on that that bring a date not only a huge amount of experience on stage, but also life experience to face some tough things and lived to laugh about it you know. Yes, I did not know that's a great way to start out I was at a different one. Sorry about God never got does the phrase bless your heart a little ahead a guy that came up to me one time after church. Their national years, and he said I heard about you and your wife story and I know exactly what you go through now. Gracie said 80 surgeries both of her legs. It dictated this is been going on with her since 1983. Cortez, the coronavirus, but this was before that but he said it, I thought while thinking, but in the state really had that kind of story but he actually said I know exactly what you're going through and that he said my wife sprained her ankle last month, and I backed away from them because I didn't know if that was contagious. You list this work why and trying to get back to normal line where you know you let me know your broken heart. Certainly understand it and I think we would be back and your broken writing time for me getting her pain. You will 31 went to laugh in your Chihuahua walking through a dark brown will now work at this theology and their understanding of God's else in our life and I'm sure you have as well talk about prayer.

By the way, but come on talk about the Shonda but when you when you have you have had people try to work out your grief and so forth that way that makes sense to them and I come from the mentality that it doesn't have to make sense to us. It makes sense to God and let's deal with that. That way we can move on.

We can get through the next day is that, where you where your headspace is all that and what you struggle with profound love and tell me you know church talk about your drive home just jump up and tell my family with my learning and shall we just hearing your voice and hearing the word or when you are willing to argument in your heart and to my there were some good caulking backtracking was good becomes your lie, learned, and next time any more time takes too much energy. How you learn patience to get the grace of years with her challenges our chances together's what's he going to tell us this could make us smack her for head and say okay don't feel better, really, how can we process this and we can't it's just too much is too big and it takes a lot of emotional energy and physical energy to stay.

That worked up about it at some point you to sectors. I tried to have myself committed. One time I was just really struggling and I showed up there in Nashville to place their and and they took me back, but they give you things that that would be Just kind of vomited all over the verbally really John and they said that they understood well we give you book to read, but you got a ride and they set up you're not crazy. That's what can I get that in writing position. People that are really concerned and I like to see that person. Now you not crazy, just burnout and some tuna sandwiches in a box would be given box lunch.

We got one leftist tuna. Do you want to suggest I do return them to say which of my life, and set up the car. I thought about this.

I try to have myself committed.

All I got was a to say so we don't know how we can be so remember very well, you know the opportunity because my depression. That would be the end of my career and all research and here the trade and to realize that it's okay to feel perfectly out to be an entire burnout rather wonderful shrink first guest on the show when we were in Nashville. John and I had a my always wonderful. Oh that only like a sister. Yeah like what you are talking about on and you can't believe I'm just working and kind think you are, shall speak now that the universe take care of whoever needs to be right and rightfully so, we bring that up because we get well not really take me out how much the world and ground you know all the world can't live all will he do indeed Alyssa don't go away we go take a quick break don't go. I would talk with Shonda Pierce, one of the best-selling comedians of all time and she is just a delight and I'm just grateful that she took the tub: the show.

This is hopefully caregiver on Peter Roseburg will be right back where I your have you ever struggled to trust God when lousy things happen to you. I'm Gracie Rosenberger in 1983 I experienced a horrific car accident leading 80 surgeries in both legs and became I questioned why God allowed something so brutal to happen to me. But over time the questions changed and I discovered courage to trust God that understanding along with an appreciation for quality prosthetic limbs led me to establish standing with help more than a dozen years we been working with the government of Ghana and West Africa, equipping and training local workers to build and maintain quality prosthetic limbs for their own people on a regular basis. We purchased ship equipment and supplies and with the help of inmates in the Tennessee prison.

We also recycle parts from donated limbs. All of this is to point others to Christ. The source of my help and strength, please visit standing with help.com to learn more and participate in lifting others standing without.com. I'm Gracie.

I am staining with help from family don't generalize this but was Gracie, love my voice.

She is the love she has the coronavirus program struggling with it, but she is tough.

Then, for the record is called resilience and she is resilient. I googled resilient. Her name comes up. She is drawn to that record standing with hope.com that's the ministry that she envisioned of helping her fellow amputees and you know what whatever donation you want to give whatever's on your heart.

Do it will send a copy. Shonda Pierce, one of the absolute funniest ladies out there, but one of my favorite. I've watched this woman for years of what job she's also pit us John and she she she bring such a a exuberance and I think the last several years and she's gone through such heartbreak.

Losing her husband all the challenges she went through with with him and with just just her stories. A powerful story.

She puts it all out there but that's when I think that's what makes your humor so much richer because for just a quick punchline.

I want to see people that can weave the tapestry of life in their some of the funniest moments of grace you have had have been in the midst of you noticed crazy stuff. I mean, you know she'll write we pulled up at a traffic light one time and she had her put her leg off she was giving her limo rest so she took her prosthetic leg up that she held it up to the gun next to us.

Register here with the foot of each. If you didn't know just so this will scratch that's funny we don't care who you are. This is funny and I love I love the way you have chosen to leave your pain into this when you write comedy when you do these things when you are going through this process do you work for. You didn't go off by yourself or do you just say something just fine.

Just wanted a quicker work server now there walking my just watching people go back to Walmart will observation Dick coffee bar with a big window to go stronger than coffee which was 11 believer Christian farm called real romantic well the only holy temporary marker where he motions to work all around you and your people are your your motion. Motion motion going on in your life and then we better talk to one of the things I love about you is that you are pushing the envelope and helping churches quit putting their own doctrines on peoples processing their own grief and pain that is document about you know and that's what were supposed to do so. That is, that's the filter thing and what will the driving principles of the show's were looking for healthy caregivers looking for people to live a healthier life than we could laugh even while tears in her cheeks and in no Gracie has about us goofier sense of humor is anybody in and she lives with more heartache and tragedy. And that's just be married to me and but she's learning to she she has when she left she left like a drunk Viking is an you and I kid you not, but that's but that's what is supposed to be with her for her versus a 12 month, I will boast all the more gladly. My weakness and Shonda have blessed us today. I'm sorry. Time is up, and I wish I could just when you come back to boxes to buckshot I am so grateful for you Shonda Pierce and she is just a deer them up with this on the podcast will link to website everything else.

This speed Rosenberger never helped somebody walk for the first time I've had the privilege many times through our organization. Standing with hope when my wife Gracie gave up both of her legs follow this horrible Rick that she had as a teenager and she try to save them for years and if it just wouldn't work out. And finally she relinquished him and thought well this is that I'm not happy legs anymore. What can God do with that and then she had this vision for using prosthetic limbs as a means of sharing the gospel to put legs on her fellow amputees and that's what we been doing now since 2005 was standing with hope. We work in the West African country of Ghana and you can be a part of that through supplies through supporting team members through supporting the work that were doing over there. You could designate a limb all kinds of ways that you can be a part of giving the gift that keeps on walking and standing with hope.com would you take a moment ago understanding with hope.com and see how you can give they go walking and leaping and praising God. You could be a part of that@standingwithhope.com
