I glad to have with how are you feeling that's what we're about here on the show were glad to hear John Butler is also with us, you know you love mail that is so tall that doesn't really understand the comment of deep into the pool here is wonderful and we were off. Leslie, John, so glad to have you with this. I am a little off every week so we were where it would live stripping on Facebook live if you will be a part of the show and you can follow along Facebook live hope for the caregiver on Facebook and if you'd like to call into the show. That number is 877 principal John 655-6755. I am taking a cough drop because I have a little bit of a cough. I don't believe that is chroma related. I think it is traveling related because I just got back from South Carolina went down to spend a week with my folks.

My mother had a pretty significant fall and some seven weeks ago but she is recovering well. She's doing just fine broken leg but she is healed up. The orthopedist give her a good report and basically cleared her and that has Parkinson's and so I just went out and pulled a shift with them. I have a friend about here and stay with Gracie, but traveling across the continent and go with John in Montana are humidity here really affected. I forgot what South Carolina humidity could be like. I was raised, but don't forget adequate delivered 35 years in Tennessee, but I kinda forgot what it was like July 5 after this you minimal it was like homemade fire on Jan I'm in Nashville and it's been really a precipice, but yet you know, I know it's not like 100 small degrees but it's like 9095 and that's 300% yeah 30% humidity.

So well and I did sit out on the porch one night with my father in Africa forgot John forgot, but the nights are like down there because out here. I don't wear up in the Rockies, and so I don't hear crickets only have to tell a joke a health of no help to go but it's I was out there knew so many different sounds at night on the porch and I have fresh South Carolina peaches and they were so good and boiled peanuts.

Every booking I am anti-world, I'm sorry you think you know somebody minute just got off the track opinion that is likely to know it's okay with you just haven't been properly educated that's okay again. Yeah there's only a couple of foods I don't like but you should always once a year, so go back and try those foods you don't like because now things can change and emphasize the crowbar says it gets really your taste buds. Any vegetation can't take things so there's a silver laughing girl you live or onions. I read some avenues old home week on South Carolina because I guess it's on my show. She's on the line with this and I saw her article in the Christian Post and and it was really grabby because it's something I've been saying for some time we hear on the news vaccine where the mass vaccine where the Mets okay like I get the concept, but it you would you would think they would least be a concerted effort to set give equal time to saying also build up your immune system eat healthier.

You know that kind of thing just take care of your body and you got a fighting chance if you're a healthier person and I don't seem to see that equal time we here comes this wonderful article that hep C and her name is Jenny Brandt.

She she put this out there is that exactly this from her own journey as I posted on my social media pages because I like the article listing okay how I get this lady on the show in their publicist calls me up, she saw that I posted she text me. She said that I know are publicist and I said and she said oh I love to have her on the show and I said I was just thinking that, and then here you do this of this is a little bit spooky. Are you stalking me know I did say that she's wonderful but I never out whatever Google you know. As for when you say something if we ask for the next 10 minutes but anyway Jenny is here with his Jenny Brandt Glick great to have you here and I thank you for taking the time to call show today.

Well listen I'm down in South Carolina. I'm right in the middle where the trees clear match at night.

Are you in Columbia. Now we are in the Clemson Seneca area okay well for Manderson, Manderson Friday I left talking okay that your dad I did. I was I was at Columbia Bible College from 8183 down club is graduate there my head and I both graduated from there and not 76 and 77 when I did were you there when Rob Morgan was a Robert Morgan. You know, I didn't know him well but we were there in the early when Robert McClurkin wife was president and within like I think the 80s that he resigned due to caring for his wife Mary let you me to go there because he didn't think it was the right place for his daughter to go so I had to pay my own way and pay my own way and went there against his wishes with my husband and then my dad ended up going there in the 80 and that's when I saw them there in the my father-in-law was there back in the 50s and I didn't corseted no miss my father. All this was but it's and so we've had a lot of the same folks that we've known but Robert Morgan is a he's been a guest on the show many times and took care of his lovely wife, Katrina, for many, many, many years, but he was a student there back in the 70s and just a brilliant pastor and writer and so we know a lot of the same folks, but I remember the story of your father and him coming there father's Harry didn't course I was you all big things and succulent still am still followed in the appreciate what he brought to the table and now you and here I am to talk to you so that is a real treat would tell me about this first before we get into article before getting your message.

Tell me about your health. My health is great.

I am five years out from the cancer journey when it was first diagnosed maybe 5 1/2 years and from the moment I finished chemotherapy six weeks later, the doctors tell me different unheard at my red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets were back in normal ranges and that usually takes several years or more. But again, these lifestyle changes to talk about today is what made the difference while they were having to attack an aggressive cancer with the work chemotherapy known to mankind.

I would doing everything I could to promote healing and my body into build my immune system instead of just being the patient that says the doctor, Dr. kill my cancer. Yeah that is something you and I have a little bit of experience with that with Gracie, who has they kept flooding her body with all kinds been about you getting infections throughout her medical journey and everything was just trashed with her and then she started on nutrition program of rebuilding her immune system and then it it just it like change for her for that because it I think. I think you would kill her many many years ago.

I think we sometimes work, you wind up killing the patient to kill the disease trailer and save your your life that you don't take them unless necessary. And if you do have to take it you have to realize it killed off all the good bacteria in your gut, and 70% of your immune system is in your gut. So at the chemotherapy it's killing my got off. I am protecting it and rebuilding it and then when it's over, I come I want on all out mission to rebuild that got my immune system would be strong will and sadly all out mission to build my gut but that's a different start working on metallurgy right working on it.

I got the cord being 15, I think, but it's so you you as you face this. What are some of the things that you specifically did to build up that immune system.

The first thing I learned why I needed to be properly hydrated and I upped my hydration during chemotherapy because it lacks an act, but when you look at what it does for your immune system enhancement Apri body system in your in your body and it increases your immune function. There is a mucous lining in your nasal cavity and your respiratory system and it needs to be empowered by water and if a coca germ happens to go into your nasal cavity, then your mucous lining can take care. Most of the time okay know. Again, defense is this immune system and the mask wearing and the social distancing is to limit your exposure.

Don't forget that this means that God created to heal itself.

In most cases, it must function properly and many times we are what in the way that is preventing and a major cause of cancer is dehydration of the cell. A major cause of what my father died from Alzheimer's disease is dehydration. The body and everything else needs it.

We talk about this on the show so many times about drink to think in and the importance of water and I drink with John is inspired me because he is such a water enthusiast and then Gracie if she's drinking 72, sometimes even 100 ounces a day of water and she just looks at Dale and John where we yeah I get up every morning. That's the first thing I do is just down the glass of water every year we take organic chemistry or anything like that is not just humans. This is every critter out there every chemical reaction that we do. It's Assumed Take Pl. in Berkeley solution know it's just water is everything to all of the processes of the body, and anything that's important something I didn't do did you get the virus I have not gotten a virus and to be perfectly honest, since this whole thing started.

We were getting ready go to Spain and we had to cancel because the flights from Spain coming back were canceled and we didn't want to get stranded, but I have been for the birth of the grand and I went up to Maryland.

I've been down to Florida did a TV interview I had been all over during co-pay 19 well I done it carefully because I learned how to do it when they were packing my immune system with the chemotherapy and I knew how to wear a mask and outerwear clock and how not to touch what other people attached enough, I learned that the cancer journey will that's that's the thing about bosses with grace. Gracie did and she was it was you went to a prosthetic appointment. We think that's how she got there about city. We live way out in the country in Montana and but she got it, but one of the things that I think helped her fight back. This is this what I liked your article so much. So here's a here's a proven case of your axiom about your immune system because Gracie had been working so hard to build up her immune system. Her liver function because she took so many so much acetaminophen, but it was just that and think, such as that which was trashing her liver and so she want to do a lot of natural stuff to build up her body. She's got a lot of programs usually you could go sing of those missing vanilla healthier life for you if you want to go see what she's done a healthier life for you.com and but Gracie drink so much water and its good spray butter from out here where we are. We have will offer is good Springwater drink so much water to help, keep keep her system hydrated and in the fresh air on a fresh air where we live in. So just open up the windows and get that fresh air so that something that that's what piqued my interest about your article and to sleep which is another thing that they tell me in the cancer journey with what were doing to your body.

It will not be able to recover. If you do not get beat consistent sleep every night because while were talking our body performs miracles while were not even thinking about it, but when we are in deep sleep at night are those miracles go up exponentially because our body detoxes and repairs itself when we are indeed great and that's when that melatonin hormone goes off.

That can fire in an amine builder will talk about that more would be right back with you to grant the caregiver.com don't go away you ever struggled to trust God when lousy things happen to you. I'm Gracie Rosenberger in 1983 I experienced a horrific car accident leading 80 surgeries in both legs and became I questioned why God allowed something so brutal to happen to me. But over time the questions changed and I discovered courage to trust God that understanding along with an appreciation for quality prosthetic limbs led me to establish standing with help more than a dozen years we been working with the government of Ghana and West Africa, equipping and training local workers to build and maintain quality prosthetic limbs for their own people on a regular basis.

We purchased ship equipment and supplies and with the help of inmates in a Tennessee prison. We also recycle parts from donated lambs. All of this is to point others to Christ. The source of my help and strength, please visit standing with help.com to learn more and participate in lifting others that standing without.com. I'm Gracie. I am staining with help. Glad to have caregiver.com were talking with Ginny, Brett, and she is got her new book out, especially what she's done. Here's called unleash your God-given healing and it's how she was able to take steps to prevent and survive cancer and its extraordinary journey that she's been on because she took care of her mother with cancer then like I mean like right almost right after this, she found that she had cancer and so she with this process and and then Ginny got very aggressive personally on how she was able to to fight back against this and and she went after strengthen her new system and doing all the things naturally that she could well go to the process with the doctors to deal with this. But not just say Dr. heal me.

She's she's working in tandem with this herself in taking this personal responsibility and this is what she feels like it's going to be our best way to fight back against the coven. 19 and I concur wholeheartedly because I'm living with somebody who fought this virus the same way and you don't even if they came up with a vaccine today. The things that can be erratic is going change the way everything but we can't just wait around for somebody to to come up with a vaccine or cure. We have to takes personal responsibility of our own journey healthy caregivers make better caregivers ministers that same as what we talked about on the show and so here comes Ginny with this and I saw her in the article that she had in Christian posted a just really struck me and not like John strikes me, but it struck me in, but it was that I just appreciate the Ginny talk a bit little bit more about this.

You tell it rest in you, build up your immune system, and as you as you do these things. What is been the response to your saying these things to people just won't say well that's nice, or whatever. Are they really you think you think they're taking this seriously as they need to be. I don't think everyone that there are people who are listening and I've been on radio shows around the country and people are saying in a cancer patient for thank you for giving me help that I can have a part in making my prognosis better and in people who are concerned about coded 19 and give them hope. I would walk out the door in my immune system strong. I might be exposed to cold at night keeping my body may take care of it because that's the way got and I think it's a wake-up call for people to realize that if you're not doing anything.

This is the time to start you can rebuild your got within 28 the 30 day you can start hydrating and I mean I'm going to go and the finger you start getting deep sleep.

Your body is gonna heal itself and built that if it's done during deep sleep. So I think it's a wake-up call for us to realize that you know we really not been taking really good care of our body. I would formulate the junkfood clean.

If I could've gotten the title. Not that that's a great title to have but now I understand what it takes to keep my immune system strong.

And it is making a difference. People are letting me know. People are calling me there reading the book and thank thank you for going to the trouble to write this down so that I could benefit you water water doesn't cost much to purchase with you buying everything Fiji water, but you don't have to do that and it's it's not expensive, in fact, sometimes it's more expensive to eat poorly and it certainly is medically speaking but but you don't want to things it just enough advocate on the show a lot for us as fellow characters okay we know we've made bad choices in the past, but that is that doesn't put us in bondage to bring bad choices today and tomorrow. The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, but the second best time is today so I will be in and when you make changes your body will began to change better but still it's never too late, went back to the sleep thing I'm concerned because a lot of people are not getting good sleep want to think about with caregivers is that you'll sleep and rest are two different things that we don't rest very well spiritually and and emotionally, but we also don't sleep very well and I think a lot of caregivers are going undiagnosed with sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea and so forth and understand that sleep apnea. It is that sleep apnea is a killer opening.

This is this is what is is hurting people around the country and they don't even know it because they want to go to sleep with her tired but there but they're not getting good rest because are not getting into good sleep because their bodies stop breathing about every so often. And then they have to jumpstart their bodies to wake up so if this is something going on with you as you listen this thing and you just heard how important sleep is what could happen but you deal with this and somebody said hey you snore really loud or something. Do yourself a favor and get that checked out being.

It may not be the main maybe just maybe just had bad sinuses that they whatever but let's not take a chance because if particularly if you have any kind of weight issues.

The chances are that you're dealing with some type of obstruction in your your your breathing passages and that is not going to help you and then you just get further and further behind. Ginny now you are clear from this from cancer for five years. Field everybody come back so far and that's a real victory in Jesus for an aggressive cancer and tell me that you know basically after what my body and through an aggressive nature of my cancer. I am not promised tomorrow. I None if not promised tomorrow and I don't live worrying about that. I live knowing that I am doing the right things now and my body is benefiting the eight step in my book all impact the immune system so they're good for building up your immune system to fight coded 19 preventing Alzheimer's and dementia. Since my father went to that for 10 years and my sister, my mother and I were the caretaker that the most difficult journey I've ever been true, but it's good for heart disease, type II diabetes. So many of these autoimmune disorders that people have.

If they really went after their immune system by doing the things there prognosis would be better. I'm sorry about that with you there, and I hate that was what was a keen mind and an extraordinary individual. He was just like you said, just briefly saw him. I just remember those brief brief encounters but I was always quite impressed and quite truthfully, I'm able to first went on the Columbia and my mother kept talking about your dad. She said oh I think you could get to see him to think you can get so well she was she was afraid as usual for you and if you are in your 20s and he was like 50 when he went though he what the older man on campus that made a lot of friendship with people, half of the date you know. And he kept up his friendship for years, will he certainly made a huge impact on some people's state of South Carolina and you are as well. If people want to get copy this book was the best place to do this. It's probably Amazon. You can go to my website and order it from there but because people are not going to bookstores as much is easy to order it special. If you have Amazon prime Ginny Brandt.com in the book is called. It is unleash your God-given healing eight steps to prevent and survive cancer unleash your God-given him. That's a great title bodily Ginny of doing that because I think it is that we have agency over our own healing process. We can be healthier people in healthcare is better.

Caregivers you have model that beautifully today, so thank you for taking the time. Thank you for having me all right got more to go.

This is Ryan Peter Rosenberg, John Randazzo, you know, do you know that there's a pandemic going on, you know, I read a couple of stories here and there, he saw something on Twitter know I when I went I went to Walmart and is that I do wear a basement from a cool but why. Social peers are not required but face mask evidently are almost as elder. Tell me a little bit ugly but ruddy dangers… Who told Edward to Facebook is the reason I'm referencing that is because you know of our work for New Year's with prosthetic limbs, and we can't go to Ghana right now, but I'll take Gracie over there. We been going to to to Ghana for many many years to help work with deputies over there but we been sitting supplies and were sponsoring more patients but were not sitting pings right now because we just can't. And we've got patients that are lining up that are really needing some quality prosthetic era were contracting out with prosthetic providers there in West Africa. In Dublin there helping these patients that we really are urgently trying to treat get them up walking one of us and you know what of the crutches we have for their patients. John, as we we target children and working age adults, children, students, working age adults and really that order Dodge because we want to give them a fighting chance to have a productive life with the quality prosthetic limb. This is what Gracie envisioned after losing her own legs is not that we don't want help aging or so forth issues that that's that's work parts of it lately. I love these yeah and and we've had a lot of kids. We've had some some students that are getting close to the graduation with a they're constantly needing prostatic adjustments or a new Lego new socket newsletters and sleeve. It will try to ship things over were trying to sponsor things in contract with the workers there do it.

We could use the help. So I'm asking. Standing with hope.com what you just take a moment to go out to standing with hope.com look at the work we do and look what we are seeing and and get involved in in that you could certainly write us and ask us any questions about it.

We would love to have your help today. We really needed today for any donation amount whatever's on your heart doesn't let witnessing a copy of Gracie CD and it went. We just want you to know that this is this is what were serious about doing we been doing this for a long time. We can go over there in person. But guess what, we could still help them get up and walk and you could be a part of that today.

It's a gift that keeps on walking. I came up with that myself to flood walking and grace, with Gracie being a AA beauty herself. When we understand that in and in 154 deal with prosthetic stuff right now with her and she's constantly needing estimates and so forth and so we understand the need and rescue to help with today to go to standing with hope.com today. Excellent
