Since I tested positive for COVID19 several months ago and fully recovered (I was virtually asymptomatic), I recently donated plasma to be used as a Convalescent Plasma for those fighting COVID-19.

Brooke Way, Communications Manager for VITALANT  called the show to share the need and how their company is helping.  I couldn't resist asking her if the President received my plasma!!

Perfect Christmas gift. Why not pick the one with the chicken even have a couple of chicken maybe it's not the get for your family but it is the perfect gift for poor family ninja chicken can break the cycle of poverty for poor family yes chicken chickens and provide nourishment for family and they can sell mosaics at the market for income when you donate a chicken or any other gospel for Asia. 100% of what you give goes to the field and get the ball went gospel fundraiser to support family and Jesus family this Christmas, give them six explanation see chickens and camping by Jehovah curator this is Peter Rosenberger. This is the nation's number one supreme was a family caregiver that is my wife Gracie from her record resilient. She is a great job that you can get a copy that today right now if you want hope for the caregiver.calm the caregiver.com.

Sorry John, you know you for this thing called convalescent plasma.

I have this yes you I was this normal theater I tested positive for the. The Rona video where his grace.

Gracie got a full-blown case of this thing and she got pretty sick.

I didn't really get anything a symptom is not a dramatic well and I got I didn't get it from her either because I was with her throughout the whole journey and then months later I got it for some people to came in from out of town evidently or something so I got a call from a company called by talent. They called me up and I said we would like for you to donate your plasma for this convalescent plasma treatment which he can accomplish your precious bodily fluids. They asked and I said well sure what you five bucks. Books about it. I was I was happy to. I went down there. The processes relatively smooth painless. You know when they pulled the needle out. They had put their foot on my chest to yank it out. That was a little uncomfortable, but no, just kidding all night was.

It was outnumbered of donated blood before but never plasma and the different process slightly different yeah well and so I asked that the folks from by talent. This is a national company to come on the show today, and they're here with this. This is Brooke Ray she's the communications manager provide talent. So Brooke, thank you for taking time on Sunday afternoon to call the show. I really do appreciate I tell me this. What are the chances that their treating present truck with my plasma I now feel awesome so awesome.I just would be kind of what one would do this here to have when my here you really have to do this yet. I have a silver head of here how many folks right now you have a serious need for this analysis.

You guys have a significant need for this right now. Now you have valid abundant down there, but now I went down there.

It if you little paperwork things and in the process took roughly about 45 minutes and it was it was you to sit there.

The only thing is is you have to kind of hold your arm out and not move your arms of your your arm muscles are really, really tired afterwards John, you just feels like you kinda you have reset your Arbor syllabus to see if the work you are because you you do like 20 rounds of ping-pong, but it was it was a little bit different but what is was that easiest what what what are some things that people need to know before hand Brooke on this is forest with.

We are they qualified or not, because not everybody test positive coping can necessarily do this requirement. We are not that way you come down great before you know that you are crack.

It takes about an hour compared to normal quicker what it called my friend, your body and then returned the other blood components you are giving your plan. Not that you get to keep things like your hope mix it with saline to come back into your body right you my eating plot grates next to John, this is my next question, the most not for this is that it say is you moving on to something this good is coming out of all this craziness, and in this way we can help and I would encourage the Gracie cannot she take so she can do it. She's on blood thinners so she can do that and I'm sorry for the excess she'd like to do it too, but I think it's a great way for us to pull together as a nation to do these things and they say that what it was about anywhere from 3 to 5 people that would have for people with now to be able to help four different people do this again this month and you can do it I would do it more. But you can still have a's people to come out here that the team that comes to where we overcome remote rural area and so they don't come out as frequent but they are to be here this month and someone to do it again.

I think you can do it. It what once every two weeks or so less helpless. It was the time travel time every 28 a great way to get back to the community. They impacted right now for everyone so comfortable as possible was it was.

Just so you know from your people this way everything was completely clean. We were completely distant from everybody was messed up properly gloves the whole thing and there's no point did I feel like this was kind of rinky-dink or what what what if I got myself into. It was it was real straight up and there was it was a great sense of camaraderie there because you know we knew we were doing something positive against something really really really negative and and I think that's important. So if you can do it and I don't know how.what have you been diagnosed with a view tested positive for this just now now now now if you do come down right now on Welby body 19 able to going tear down a report on a q. week check out if you want to accomplish this it did no because I would've not gotten tested for what I was showing symptomatically and I still don't know that I was really, still because it was about here around horses in the barn and everything else will have hayfever and so and then then they asked me this, it will are you are you fatigued caregiver for 34 years. Yeah, you have headaches caregiver 34 years old, evidently because that's the best assessment know I had a cough that was a little bit persistent but I have had them on and off for 10 years so I did, I wouldn't necessarily gone to the doctor had the Kelly hurst rehearse called me up and say hey you been exposed to somebody and you need to go get tested otherwise I would've gone someone how many people like that that have no clue on whether or not you just went through it with you but so this is a way to find out if you have that you can use this for other stuff to do as well they could donate through you guys. We can blood whatever through other things correct. Think about a car crash, but people with biweekly people who are getting you down and play off and go to help people who are recovering from their treatment and help people situation every patient that he felt important without cross-country kisses.

That's where I am in Montana Billings Butte telescope. The Nashville John. John Brooke, I'm sorry I didn't properly John has been with me from the beginning of the show years ago when he he's in from Nashville. I'm in Montana Johnson Nashville and in the got the answers from the engineer. There, he's in Dallas so so I would bet you got a place in Dallas so it I want you to collect when I tell it the T a L a T vital talent.order.com.org well. It's great work that you guys are doing. I get the feeling the Brooke you don't have to come in on this get you in trouble with that.

We probably need to learn to live with this virus because I don't see it going away anytime soon and it's it's not like you know polio or smallpox.

It will be able to eradicate almost radically come thing.

I think this is something you have to learn to live with it as a nation as a people and unfortunately I think a lot of people are going to end up see how it's see how were not all get it at some point somehow. But hopefully we built up of some level of immunities over the vaccine. The treatments inserted with this type of treatment become what you thought your response on the I have lots of thoughts about lots of things. My thoughts are. Is that regardless of how it turns out.

If we go into it with under the with the mindset of you have to live with this for a while that is going to best prepare us for whatever is to come and if then we do get a vaccine that works really really well all that preparation that's great that's great that's great, fantastic, and were better prepared for the next thing becomes more because we as humans are going to have to deal with infectious diseases really nasty plagues leave for you know the foreseeable future of the space to ourselves and this is one way we can and let's don't let these convalescent plasma banks go go empty. Let's let's build this up let's this is a small thing.

It takes very little time it it really is it's very almost a painless process. Yeah if you don't like needles, but it really quickly, they slap you first and then they stick the needle and that's with standard training. Brooke California Peter little stick, but it was a know they were they were really great.

It is a small thing we can do that can make a difference, a Brooke, I would really appreciate if you would dig around and see if I plasma made it to Pres. Trump to call back until the because I'd like to believe me, it would be the best plasma ever. He would have all the other players would be losers. This would be great plasma. Hope all is case manager advised talent of just a great sport to college are doing a great work Brooke. You were very cold. If I tell it.org it's a it's a gift that keeps on giving. Literally.

And let's do it together. Okay Brooke thank you so much for calling.

Hopefully caregiver.com will be right back where I have you ever struggled to trust God when things happen to you. I'm Gracie Rosenberger, 1983 I experienced a horrific car accident leading 80 surgeries in both legs and became questioned why God allowed something so brutal to happen to me. But over time the questions changed and I discovered courage to trust God that understanding along with an appreciation for quality prosthetic limbs led me to establish standing with help more than a dozen years we been working with the government of Ghana and West Africa, equipping and training local workers to build and maintain quality prosthetic limbs for their own people on a regular basis. We purchased ship equipment and supplies and with the help of inmates in Tennessee prison. We also recycle parts from donated lambs.

All of this is to point others to Christ. The source of my help and strength these visits standing with help.com to learn more and participate in lifting others that standing with help.com. I'm Gracie. I am staining with help John Randazzo you know, do you know that there's a pandemic going on, you know, I read a couple of stories here and there, he saw something on Twitter know I when I went I went to Walmart and they said I do wear a basement from a cool but why peers are not required but based best evidently are almost ready to work to face. But the reason I'm referencing that is because you know about work for New Year's with prosthetic limbs, and we can't go to Ghana right now, but I'll take Gracie over there. We been going to to to Ghana for many many years to help work with deputies over there but we been sitting supplies and were sponsoring more patients but were not sitting pings right now because we just can't. And we got patients that are lining up that are really needing some quality prosthetic era were contracting out with prosthetic providers there in West Africa in Ghana and there helping these patients that we really are urgently trying to treat get them up walking one of his crutches we have for the patient's John this week we target children and working age adults, children, students, working age adults and really that order got shot because we want to give them a fighting chance to have a productive life with the quality prosthetic limb. This is what Gracie envisioned after losing her own legs is not that we don't want help aging or so forth issues that this network parts of it lately.

Love these yeah in and out. We've had a lot of kids. We've had some some students that are getting close to the graduation with their personal meeting aesthetic adjustments or a new leg socket newsletter since leave it will try to ship things over were trying to sponsor things in contract with the workers and we could use the help.

So I'm asking staining with help.com which you just take a moment to go out to standing with help.com look at the work we do and look what we are seeing and and get involved in that.

You could certainly write us and ask us any questions about it. We would love to have your help today. We really needed today for any donation amount whatever's on your heart doesn't matter what your copy Gracie CD and we just want you to know that this is this is what were serious about doing we been doing this for a long time. We can go over there in person.

But guess what, we could still help them get up and walk and you could be a part of that today. It's a gift that keeps on walking. I came up with that myself to walking and grace, with Gracie being a AA PT herself. When we understand that in fact were dealing with prosthetic stuff right now with her and she's constantly needing estimates and so forth and so we understand the need and rescue help with today should go to standing with help.com today. Excellent
