We'd love to have you. You could follow along with us on Facebook and we stream the show through our Facebook page and hope for the caregiver and also our Facebook group and that's also called hope for the caregiver they have to set up for that would edited courses for stuff that hope the caregiver.com. I want to do a couple things here today. I was taught was first for what I would start off with a trivia question that is related to what our subject matters will be about the data figured out will just little trivia questions will actually well I'll explain it after whoever gets it right, but who was it who was the in out gaga had narrowed down to the Old Testament who was it that the angel of the Lord came to and called him a mighty man of valor, mighty warrior, and he said, hail mighty men of valor, valor, hail, mighty warrior Angel got kidnapped set under a tree.

There's an oak tree in the angel the Lord came a set of the tree it said this this guy I know who that is. If you notice, give me a call 888-589-8840 888-589-8840 and I will see how how we do on that when I want to talk a little bit about what's going on with the president and coronavirus, all the things it assumes the present was diagnosed with this admittedly started seeing played out in the media. What we as caregivers wrestle with on a pretty regular basis. What we go to do about this when we go to but that would be good about this how to do this. How was gravity or what could happen here and that the scenarios were bleak and and groom and and and all these things are played out and the man you don't just got diagnosed Eddie's you know that is under treatment so forth that I tested positive for the coronavirus. So much so that I've got the antibodies that have donated plasma convalescent placidly the collet and I am the call begin. They want more. Which would you know what that means.you. That means that there could be people out there about plasma treatment and they're going to receive a goofy sense of humor and world-class TV quality hair that that's what that means inside his but I've I've done this. My wife had a severe case of this and she was pretty sick, but she punch through it.

I've got for family members that all tested positive, but that were able to do pretty well and and get through this thing minimal difficulties in their all in their 80s, late 70s and 80s. So it's not an automatic death sentence. Yes, it is Sears.

I got a buddy Brian who is a very heavy and overage gala underlying health issues. He punch the root but people are freaking out and that brings me to my scripture for today, which is Psalm 105. That word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. We all know this and this verse referred it was a great somber that any granted way back in the 80s and that Michael Smith wrote it all know the song for years of son in the church, and so forth thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light into my path applications.

That is, we deal with the coronavirus note itself reach overplay that require that what is left. I was applications for this note. It doesn't say it's a searchlight it's it's a lamp it's a light we only get sometimes the next step.

The next step in and God does this with us.

We we we are provided with enough information to take one step at a time and it's it's one of those things where we are so busy living in the wreckage of our future. What a good about here with were not even there yet were already were already struggling with that you know about Weiss doubling 50 both of her legs.

You've heard of phantom limb pain right phantom limb pain and that's when an amputee will still fill their limb years after the leg is gone and Gracie will take this and she can still feel the sensation of her foot or ankle and the initiative entity of AA PT for over 25 years and and sometimes it just the way it works is the way our bodies are wired to the nerve endings and so forth, and that we were there experiencing pain of something that is long gone. Not even there. But as caregivers now collectively as a nation, and I think provided this people, we will live in pain that hasn't even happened.

We will live and pay that hasn't even happened to us yet and it's it it it's it's living in that that wreckage of our future is living in that over gosh what we can do about this one good about that but it's not. As we go back and anchor cells in Scripture. That word is a lamp unto my feet about lab got that the entire board is lit up. Everybody was to weigh in on who the angel the Lord said God is with you will mighty warrior hail mighty men of valor, so I'm going to do this in an I got text everybody as everybody seems to know this is but I will start off with Kate and Raleigh Kate good morning how you feeling right this day that's made up so the screen cut off their it's Nate and Raleigh. I how you do about what what's going on with this morning how I am actually traveling from Fuquay Marina, North Carolina. When check that it might recommend in college up there.

Well, that sounds like a marvelous time.

Did you call with a caregiver issue or did you call because you know the answer to the trivia question well say that I know it would be probably a stretch but I know that God does not work with them way we work and I recall reading that Gideon was the one that you and give you a good meeting. Jim, do we have any bills we can cling often that Nate is indeed the winner of this.

This is not a hardwood. Unfortunately, no this is not hard but this is important in that it is a lot of read about this a lot. And for those you on the on the line.

That was way that she welcomes the on will still have you on the show we talk about it but but Nate and Raleigh one. This would right off the bat. I do gotta give a shout out to my friend Betsy who texted me with that she and her husband Tom elicited and she texted you that she didn't call it the way to go Betsy could call but that's okay.

She texted me with it and then I got folks waiting on Facebook say they do so everybody was paying attention this morning to Old Testament information, but one of things I like about this story. Nate and from what I've understood from commentators address research on it that that Gideon was not exactly functioning in that regards.

In fact, if you go back and read the message of the angel appeared to him and he said God is with you will mighty warrior.

He was threshing outside the millions and some people say he was done kind of enough in a pit, they were students. They couldn't be seen from the Midianites and engineers like me that's that's the few times in Scripture that if it seems like God was being a little bit sarcastic hail mighty men of valor as to think and it id and then later on in the late couple verses later guys as you go in the strength is your save Israel from Biddy in heaven. I just sent you an Nvidia Getty is like you, me, and I think that there's out money that you will that does not strike you as being that a tad bit sarcastic from God said, you know, hail my guys that are high not actually you know I I contend that the believer only go astray when number one we forget God is number two, you forget who we are God. We are, and I believe that God will Gideon. He actually was getting importantly like direct human that you are saying. A moment ago about his word being a lamp unto our feet bite into our copy. The only get… Much to be in the state. Gideon.like the rest of it often do God with Diane Powell, your mighty but not in your own power, your mighty when you walk with me. It's almost like Lewis.net so if your mighty you know what you don't know what except for its we don't we don't understand just what it means to be walking in the strength of the Lord and in the strength of the Lord takes us into some very dark places and even even as a nation we can do this.

Certainly, as caregivers we can do this so Nate you want to challenge this morning I how far out are you from your son all I am only an hour at an event trip about three hours left.

What you enjoy the wonderful beautiful morning. Well it is a beautiful day.

I'm sure over there and that the trees are lovely Arthur, they're turning pretty good directly on my front yard… Happy bread is lovely with thank you so much for, thanks for listening.

AFR things was the show this morning were glad to have you with this will get about two minutes you were to punch into some calls are Solomon in Mississippi Solomon good morning how you feeling good morning, how are you alive. Lovely was going on. We are much outgoing answer your question, but I'm a little bit and start putting on that real quick meeting. Gideon was actually it was threshing wheat and alarm press. The bottle said that it Midianites but on this.

To add to something our slaying. I believe the angel of the Lord read our God used Nate Gideon, one of the reasons why is because God is in the business of using quote unquote. Nobody known him saying because if you if you read all when when he had 32,008 a lot back in and God said this to Manny and God said, I can't use that manner because if I do not think Midianites and Yala take the glory against me, and that's what the Bible says I just wanted to add that in their willing slicks is considered not by might not by power but by my low that that sounds that the lower end and that applies to what were dealing with as a family caregivers. We look at the brutal challenges waiting us every day, and now we look at the six as a nation were dealing with. Again it's it's the principle of God doing this and we are being or trusting him minute we go to trust him with the present with his diagnosis of coronavirus were to trust them with our loved one who has a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or Parkinson's or whatever we were entrusted with the loved one who is dealing with alcohol or addiction issue and it's not by might not by power. We cannot squint our eyes real tight didn't in and you know grasp things with clinched fist and make it happen. Were going to have to trust them in it and you brought you brought that this morning, Psalms, and thank you for that great word. Let me go to the next call. Thank you so much touted for calling thankfulness. The show Roger in Arkansas. Good morning Harriet, I assume you got the age of this thing to add to our banter, but I know the right one and I was going to be a little planning on caregiving with now. My mother was my father was mind and was blocking there. And she took care Avenue M always live but he will parse it to how fascinating my Barnett Griffin house nailing down raptors. I worked on Kari. It was absurd by like crazy barking VA back have ballet authorities. He pioneered a gamebreaker by heart, and get dark so the name England but I'm okay real funny story, claimant logic, take a break for the site. He played no part what type of heart break our harmonica harmonica.

Yes, I was say because I was a music major and I had to write out pieces and stuff for harp and playing a harp and a guitar. At the same time would be a little bit challenging and so glad you clarified that Lizzie Adriana Will and it plowed that but W quit for the stories we got it we got a jump real quick's W story map, not wanting our grandmom about this model.

Any help IN the matter met. Alice Tempe that he is good on IPL and he said no less. I believe that bathroom story right word is walk away from that it was good to get hurt and not so much for give me a call. I appreciate that they solicit the show.

They solicited AFR. We talked about fear living in the wreckage of our future and as I watched the gym I did something I don't normally I don't recommend anybody do when the president had his diagnosis. I actually checked on twitter. It's of the comments that I decided to get off that really quit because twitter is basically a sewer dysfunction and the hatred that was coming out for the president. All this stuff. I just that I just I'm not there is no need to even swim in that particular pond not undeserved because they it was awful. It really is, and end up but then here's the hear someone take away. I've gotten from this. As I watch people respond to this. You know it when we go to when we did it when we could as believers. This is our time to anchor ourselves in what Scripture has clearly told us to do and affirm this old overview of the most repeated commandment throughout Scripture's fear not, fear not, it's peppered throughout all of Scripture because God knows were fearful people, and it is long as we feel that we got control of our health and our money and everything else in our safety. Then we don't cry out to our Savior because we think we do it ourselves. We feel pretty good about things are power mortgages paid or you would get a full refrigerator and money in the bank and so forth. But in reality we are all one diagnosis away from very very difficult things and as the president himself. That was rest of the summer.

Think about this was that I know is getting oval other than Oval Office got an office that Walter Reed the set up, presidential thing for them still in the hospital and he sees no quarantine under this even with all the trappings of the presidential office is still in the hospital he still deal with this all of you that are any have any kind of skin in the game as a caregiver understand how lonely it can be disorienting to be at the hospital, so he's there right now family struggle with this thereof, there's all kinds of uncertainty. The whole First Family is dealing with things. It you and I know very well so the first thing we know to do is to pray, and we pray that God speaks to him in this and this is not the first leader of a nation that is done through something like this and we can look back at the time as some of you remember when when Reagan was shot, and what that was like for our country and so forth and and and everybody get through all these things into and it interplay of what we can do have a function of having to live with all these kinds of things. But as believers.

This is our time to step up at his caregivers.

We understand this, we had to trust God with uncertainty, for it is a part of our life down the me we get it right every time.

It just means that this is the crux of our battle is are we going to trust him in this thy word is a lamp into my feet and a light unto my path was that mean when you don't know what else to do you look at the word of God. What is it say do we trust, how do we know we can trust because he stretched out his arms and gave his life of the cross your gracious car after this off of the show Gracie scars and she has plenty of him from her racket was horrific wreck. She had 37 years ago next month.

She did a lot of scars on her body, lobsters with everyone of the scars are temporary. One day she will have but his scars.

His scars scars in his hands, his feet and is scars a permanent, they mean something for all of eternity member when he showed up to his disciples and Thomas wasn't there that I said I'm not going to believe until I touch the stars SF is been raised from the dead.

Jesus said here you touch the scores mean something and that's what anchors this is the reality that we can trust admin. These very very difficult circumstances.

At times, and as the world flounders around trying to find any kind of solid ground of stability or anything we as believers now have an opportunity to stand up with clarity, not with sentiment and not with you know Gucci Hallmark card, bumper sticker theology which I really don't like it all. But with the with the conviction and the clarity of the gospel in the midst of whatever's coming her way so that we too can like the song says, when peace like a river attendance belly when sorrows like sea billows roll whatever my lot that was taught me to say it is well with muscle is it went with yourselves.

Is it well with yourselves if not one and we can talk about that. 888-589-8840 888-589-8840.

The whole point of the show.

The whole point of this network is to communicate these truths in this conviction to you in the midst of whatever you're dealing with so many of you are isolated so many of you are feeling incredibly lonely, as if caregiving was isolating enough to dethrone a global pandemic and it just becomes unbearable.

And yet you could turn on the radio.

You can stream it to your phone you can download the podcast. Whatever because this is 24 seven that this network is pushing out to you into that isolation with the message of the gospel you member in the end of World War II that some of you that. And I certainly don't. I wasn't there.

I just look like I'm old enough to be in World War II but not you. You river that that the with the radio it went out there and there were troops scattered all around, and they can think log into the BBC or whatever to be able to hear these things and let them know what was going on because communication was so poor and in people trapped behind enemy lines. The whole thing. That's a great picture of what were dealing with here, and what this entire network is about people really are trapped behind enemy lines and they need to know that there is a war going on that is being waged on their behalf and they are part of that they are not fighting alone in this. And so we want to make sure you know is a caregiver that those lonely moments when you feel so discouraged.

So despond and so fearful that God also extends the invitation to you is this just like did Gideon Hale mighty men of that.

I like what I think was solid in the said that is that you know he sees us the way he designed us. We don't see it that he sees all the way to the core of who we are in him.

I still think there was a tinge of humor and sarcasm. He says that Hale mighty men of valor present.

The gun is a sense of humor.

I'm counting on it because I look at me every day. That word is a lamp into laughing at a light into the comfort that strengthened what does it mean to you as a caregiver when you're looking at things you can look at and talk to friend my last night, her father's on a ventilator very tough situation. Husbands also in the hospital. Brother has no cell is that word is that the morning and hope that you probably right and
