Let's join Wayne see Thomas for today's message will greetings in the name about wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My name is Brian Thomas, and I thank you for joining me today on the God first podcast we are going to discuss the topic that is in the forefront of most people's minds in this nation and even across the world today and that is what we've seen taken place in this year of 2020 is definitely being and very interesting. Very intriguing year to say the least.

With so many different things taking place and I have today with Ami Pastor Bill Jenkins from destiny land church in California and he's coming on to talk with us about the state of things sort of give us an update. We had more lasts about five months ago, when this pandemic was just cranking up getting into high gear and we've seen other things taken place since then, so I want to join have been passed a bill want to thank you for joining us today is your your given us some time to talk about the subjects and have just welcomed you to the podcasts and important right thank you so again we talk with you last about five months ago and the decoded 19 pandemic was just getting started here in the US and so can you update us on the pandemic and how it has affected your church and in your area since we last talked, you know everything in California got down so you know they opened it up a little bit back down again and the third church were not able to, you know how indoor but we are. You know, not letting… From getting the word out will work doing everything will be training through you know doing something outdoor. If not, carry, you don't think a lot of good look at it correctly.

We really allowed better and not better will you mind but got really think of creative ideas to thank you Creek will said I look at what is happening and I think your point is that it is really forced a lot of churches to if you want to still get the word out and that should be your desire to still take the gospel to the nations of the great commission you know is force us to look at other things and so many have gone on line you know our ministry. We been online for 10 years, but there are some ministries that had not been a so it's it really forced him if they wanted to continue in any way to to find the ways to get online to learn it in and to expand and even for churches that were already all line ministries, parachurch ministries, they found ways to even expanded so I see things happening is is quite interesting, but they reminds me of the early church and wished during the time period of persecution. The church grew at its highest rate and that's not to say that during this pandemic. The church is under persecution. Some would argue that some of these executive orders is is a persecution against the church that vessel to be debated.

But you see that that has the has been an expansion of the gospel going to various places through means of online so I'm definitely with you on that in and I'm really glad to see what people are doing and like you said, have the mindset of looking at this as opportunities to expand rather than complain will become computer about was taken place yet you know I'm rolling the web looking at her church website. I'm amazed at how many churches don't even have websites though they are be important for you know either you know and their ministry through social media because whether we like it or not that's sort of what everything is going to anyway so you know we are more churches get involved. You website get involved in training. We help church training so that they can expand and keep their ministry going like you you been doing for 10 years we've been doing it a long time ourselves and so you know we weren't really caught off guard with the training we have good people that you know are in our church and I have an awesome wife who knows all about you know helpless but I think you for your why serpents, and harmless as a great weekend really allow God to expand our ministry during a challenging time. A man always look at that silver lining. Look at the positive side of it.

So what you saw your you're in California and as you mentioned that the governor there is order. Sounds like should shut down of everything. So what what are your thoughts if you are willing to share with us as much as you're comfortable with concerning the state of things in and where the governor stands with the church and for that matter. I guess with all business entities and in that state. No matter what I blame you in the question that's not you know you know we have a First Amendment right in the United States, Vermont America together and to know how you don't worship the Lord.

I understand where the medical pandemic thought, you know church people are not you know that non-careful were careful. But we also have an obligation to follow the rules and the laws of the church is very challenging. You know, Mike/my three Chicago five right thing and let you know.

Call the bank and Britta Warlick called revolution but the bottom line is I'm not so sure that you know going to be a good place for me to focus my energy and effort. What were trying to focus in our energy and effort to get more people to watch the framing.

We do radio program by doing minute matters every single day on photo media like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and fragrant tick-tock YouTube for one minute little video devotional work finding ways for combat. You know the Bible publicly ruffle, not against flesh and blood.

Ultimately, our battle is not with the government, the goblin battle against the enemy against principality power grew. The wickedness in high places, and that's what we need to focus on and not allow things like the governor, you know, or the government practice from our folk though. Do I like every night at but also the commoner and the Bible publicly after effects open 40 and you know it's not that were not willing to go again I'm not willing to meet with people that I haven't had the opportunity to read because they think were rebellion so I don't want to come across people that were trying to reach a negative black. I still want to be able to have that Britt felt they needed The good thing about that they will know that death like a great place. The company would like get little untrained laying yes yes yes an excellent perspective because you can you see people on both sides of the debate. We know there are some pastors that have chosen to defy the governor's orders in an open anyway. In California, and in some of the places of the country right now here in my state.

We do not have a governor's order that churches cannot open that was in place at one point in time.

But then there was a lawsuit that was made by a collection of pastors and so they decided to back off of that order and allow churches to assemble in order to sort of basically keep this lawsuit from going forward. So things are sort of sealed still a bit in flux, but for the most part, the majority of churches in my area are still not opening on the making that decision themselves and for the ones that have opening from had to have open for what I've been told. The majority are having less than the 50% turnout but to your point that again like we stated earlier, we can still get the word out.

We can still get the gospel out and I know there are people out there. The argue and say we we should be allowed to assemble in and I can certainly get the Scriptures in which he talks about Phil not to assemble.

I totally understand that, but at the same time we is is not as though we are being told we cannot preach the gospel. We still have the means to do so on the Internet, social media, radio all kinds of means that we have in our hands and and I think that it is showing us now that that we can do that and use those means to to go even further with the gospel of Jesus Christ and him and I like to write this article, it well. I think we're doing the right thing now for me to find. I'm a fighter by nature a man you know I don't mind. I'm not afraid. You know, but the bottom line is I don't know if that's a good witness and so you know my thing reach the people around me. I'm in a liberal state and so you know I'm trying to do everything I can to keep the word out there tell people about the Lord, show them the love of God. We can do and follow Burke think about it will be able to look someone of turkey and combine that and we have been doing but the greater platform for the work. More people to be our goal. In the long run absolutely absolute yet. We should come out of this works even stronger and more robust church so I certainly agree with you on that. Now there are those out there. There's a lot of things when it comes to this pandemic of it being politicized and that's unfortunate because when it comes to the health of the nation when it comes to the health of society for for humankind. Everyone should be in it for the best interests understand they're going to be different opinions. You can go to two different doctors for particular illness and in they may give you two different opinions as to how to treat it so they're still given their best effort. But we see now there's some obvious politicizing going on in terms of between the political parties as to what should be done which should not be done. Do you personally believe that there is fear mongering going on when it comes to this pandemic I you know when you record like that, you know, I nailed my opinion of the truth and yet I didn't think I know there are people who you know you know Dr. by million more more by fear and so I think I do preach about John on day one Christian and you know I talked about fear and how no fear of the root of unbelief and you know here if you're not careful, can become a Revelation 21 eight.

The first meant there is tearful people.

People don't like to think about fear being although it may not start out and then if you allow fear to rule and dominate your life and dictate your decision to become a plaintiff like the other.

Revelation 21 birthday so we have to be careful to not allow clear to create even a greater pandemic virus that I do take it real. I do think that we need to take with caution, but I think we need to wash our hands but ethically wash our hands before the pandemic and think we need to open while cleaner and cleaner turkey five more than one way. You know what I think a lot of that. You know, you know, Yuko, intent, and even wearing some of the map got people say well it does now… You don't you think you can prepare helper. You know, maybe someone else from getting where the man that my favorite thing and I think the map report told that from dates like this. I think we need to be careful to make sure that we are following some other guideline in order to protect other we don't like what I did about felt like I think weighing more people out.

And I think whether it be individual whether it be political party on everybody trying to gain an advantage. That's not what the comment about about our own personal agenda or personal right not good for everybody. Understanding always wanted help for every one you never do without one will soon.

This just makes your head spin, but the other thing that we've seen in the forefront is the racial tension the rioting, the lawlessness bears are so many things that have blown up in the country over the last several months. Even in the midst of this pandemic.

So the past to be what are your thoughts may mean I'm just going to leave it wide open to to share your thoughts, your feelings as to what is going on with the rioting, the looting and in all of this division of lawlessness that we see in our nation. What you really know you know I love you know but all of the heartbreaking. You know what happening.

It's been going on in my lifetime I have hope in the Lord, but not but here I have a lot of hoping people don't we come to the point were all about got the finger and start drawing a circle and let the water park rights in Chicago. I hung out with more panic than black people than I ever did white people I didn't even know the right. In a lot of ways and probably combined with full impact and then while my eyes were opened. I think train, but the way that I live my life when I will try out all the crap that I'm not against public people have a right to protest, but when they take the next level looting and hurting other people.

People they probably went from before.

Now they're going to take whatever they want to have a right to do that. I think we have to raise the moral standard and we have to raise standard in our government would not believe not let the people get away with it. Please let them get away with doing more but I think we have to be very careful in the days that we live in whatever we can to make sure that law will not prevail.

The Bible public and the landscape that there's going to be quite well and happy and you know the racial divide in our world seemingly is getting wider, but we need to do our part to bring people together look good white people. I know that white people I know good black people. I know that black people, I don't. Good sleep. I don't get that we could go on and on about a certain group or type of collar race of people that individual, group, I think we need to come together.

You're my brother you still bleed red-blooded what color you are not. I love your heart I love your voice I think you need to be doing voiceover and making millions of dollars to your office and I don't care what color you are. You don't you treat me with you. I think that's the way it ought to be, you know, we have in the template critique center. We have a melting pot of people, black people Panic people I with people of every race, color and creed. And that's what I like.

I don't want an all white white people can be glory and I must secrete the caller and I love the creek you know they then forget those were thought pattern. Every different group or type of people and we need to learn how to accept the fact that we can be one and not the thing my wife of the married 22 years. We want but were not.

Thanks, man. The woman you and me one in the eyes of the Lord would anybody understand you one right, but what it might be injected colorblind. I don't care. I white with black brave woman. Let stand up for what is right and the right thing left with allowing the media rather people to dictate to what we need to do and come together. Yeah, I see, was taken place and as you mentioned earlier in the in the podcast that we have to recognize who our true enemy is in the enemy, the true enemy is the devil, and he tries to do all kinds of schemes to get us against one another, and so many people fall for I tell people why do we have in the forefront of our minds that things are racially motivated.

I think there's so many assumptions that people think the motive for doing something. This is racism. And like you stated, when I saw that the George Ford incident, which is what has kicked all of this off in this country.

My thought was, well there is just the inhumane treatment of another human being, did not cross into my minor factor into my mind.

00 will a white man is doing that to a black man so it must be racism, but of course we see the merits of the media and so many and it was really troubled me vestibule is that I've seen a lot of pastors and churches who also jump to that narrative to automatically assume that everything is is racially motivated and I just say will fall in human beings were going to have some differences were going to have conflicts does not mean every time we have a conflict simply because we are of a different race that means is motivated by racism and so what you stated was was, deftly will see a great words of wisdom and image in Chicago where you're from and he will. What are your feelings as far as I just here's the news coming up Chicago with the shootings and I and the children. It seems like they just keep getting younger and younger. I even heard just a week or two ago, a 10 month old that was keeled from just random shooting since the shooting what and what you feel about what you see going on in Chicago today.

Heartbreaking. It would bad but nowhere near what it felt to be on the floor on your new I really good side of town in Chicago. I got a block from Wrigley Field and I'm a pickup without but I had to travel through her on a pretty path to get all everything go back and play. I had I never was a part of the gang but I in different gang landed fivefold from the Latin Kings the black guy pulled different gang.

I had Brandy promote gang health.

You really awarded one on that you know we buy in from way whenever I go back to Chicago with cyclical foreign country so different than when I was a kid and I did something could be done. I wish we could step back after crime.

I think that's where we go wrong in America. We always want to stop you will arrive people and do all that for that. I think people will be punished when they do crime called to think that we have to provide the means of other people back years ago, I met with a group of 33 different gang members and tried to tell them how to get involved in the workplace where maybe they started working at a Burger King with them and help them end up being the owner of that legitimate and melodically and so I think we need to provide good things like that for our society. I think we need to have better reentry programs. When people do you think they'll come back in the help provide a place to live provided job provide some provide counseling, whether it be AA or whether people celebrate recovery continued services outside of the forget now provide money for the you note different groups you are getting involved really have something positive to look forward and their light, heartbreaking month old baby getting shot. You know I do not think an all out war going and I think we need more turkey, more people more Christian provide help spread the word get out there give something positive, provide something for the people to do that can be something good so they don't always have to get in trouble by finding something that absolutely all right in the final minutes will you share with us. We've already touched on it, but the listeners concerning what is happening today with the pandemic with with the lawlessness that we see and the return of Christ.

I know you are very much in tune to the prophetic word and what the Bible says concerning the return of Christ and the climate so share with our listeners what you can concerning that and also for any who have not yet come to know and accept Jesus Christ. Give them a word to why and how they can come to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior while a man like when it first began. As I wrote a book, and the Lord show me that this was sort of like the beginning of you know, doing our job to prepare for the coming of the Lord because I felt like a comfortable Lord. So I wrote a book called the rapture banner and it's all about Chapter 5 in Revelation chapter 20 and that can help people who will not make it the raft before they have to go through the tribulation so hope that I'm to tell you everything that can happen 21 document that the Bible tell the people and have to go to the rapture and felt obviously you cannot wrap to understand that we are all sinners that all the fallen short of the glory of God only one who can help with right on that cross. If there are people listening today in your life is right with God. It is something the back or hold you from walking and fulfilling your destiny. The reason why you looking for the program. I know you do a lot of things we do a lot of things were trying to spread the word if you're GOD has a divine appointment for you and that you understand that God wanted all out for you understand better understand you don't want to conflate applicant forget to turn from your evil way you're willing to do that God is faithful what you've done or how to cleanse you from all of your right that we keep we are live in and the last the last day what we got beat out, but don't know the Lord put playing games and waiting and now the time to come to the Lord, so allow the Lord to be the father that maybe you never had it your life for the father you wanted a good father you starting these words take these words to heart, because the time is near Jesus Christ told us what to look for the city would be as it was in the days of Noah just going about their business and they were not paying attention to what would take place in the judgment came and they were not ready they were lost. So get ready for the return of Jesus Christ. Get excited and and I want to encourage any passes out there. The listening stress this message in churches.

It troubles me that I see so many churches that during this time with what is going on. There is no mention whatsoever concerning the return of Jesus Christ concerning the second coming. We as believers should be excited about him seeing him again seen him return to this earth and being joined with him in there for those who are not excited to me that makes me say will what is there going on with you in your life that causes you not to be excited about Jesus Christ's vestibule.
