This is family policy matter programs produced by the North Carolina family policy Council of profamily research and education organization dedicated to preserving the family and up in the studio here is John Rustin, Pres. North Carolina family policy Council, thank you for joining us this week for family policy matters is a great pleasure to have Gianna Justin with us on the program. Gianna is a pro-life advocate national speaker, writer and singer who was miraculously born alive after her biological mother underwent a yield saline abortion in the late 1970s got his use Gianna's life to inspire a pro-life movie October baby as well as lifesaving legislation such as the federal born alive infant protection act. Gianna has testified before numerous lawmaking bodies both in the United States and abroad, including the U.S. Congress and she most recently appeared before Congress during hearings investigating the gruesome practices employed by Planned Parenthood to harvest and sell the body parts of aborted unborn babies. Gianna is with us today to share her amazing story and were so excited to have her with us. Gianna walking the family policy matters. Thank you so much for having me. Well, it's a great to have you. And now John of the circumstances surrounding your birth are really nothing short of miraculous. Your biological mother was 17 and pregnant when she went to a local abortion clinic saline abortion.

They attempted failed and you were born. Praise the Lord for those who don't know tell us what's involved in assailing abortion and how in the world did you survive well. As she went here at Planned Parenthood. Elder she needed to go after late-term abortion and abortion are failing thought solution injected him.

The mother's womb is to burn baby inside and out, trying to get out there and she is to get rid very bad baby within 24 hours. I I was delivered alive after 18 hours of all of that and in in a Los Angeles County abortion clinic. It even running for me to look down at my medical record and have been thank born during saline abortion. 6 AM to half pound 1977 Los Angeles, California me just absolutely fine going to read that and I should have burned my body and those that me let me of lying, because they say your skin is not currently a flawless skin and then of course my vanity is a woman stubborn like incoming Mark but not really occur, I should say you godless people that God could shield you in the womb just like you did.

Shadrach me shack in the vending the gift of cerebral palsy which is caused by lack of oxygen to my brain while I was providing that very abortion.

Yeah, that's what will thank you for sharing.

The rocket was not used before the abortionist had been at the clinic, you probably would not be here tells more about the I wouldn't be pressure. He was getting coffee or whatever it was so early in the morning and gave her name for a nurse to call an ambulance and transfer kill a hospital where again I would have found that there's no way to save the lives he would have ended my life. The strangulation suffocation or leaving me there he died because his job is to kill a child not doing a thing at this juncture for anyone listening, driving the car where wherever you are. I am not out shame if you had abortion one or more abortions are very involved with abortion and you are just freaking out right now we hear mentally related. Here the name of Jesus and the Christian and the only thing that can relieve so much shame and guilt in your heart and your life. And if you just think it is him, he will. I don't use your academic or anything you are condemned or that you are awful you are not you are beloved of God and I spell and I forgiven my ballads what she's done told her Stella told her I'm a Christian, etc. I just have to get that across.

But I would imagine women here have avoided this issue in their life for 20 years, hearing and freaking out there is a great measure of grace clear so beautifully. Now, as you mentioned you you were born with cerebral palsy been determined that there is a connection between the disability and saline abortion because of the direct lack of oxygen to my brain while I was being burned alive in my mother's room. I would not be disabled alive, which I think is curious because you like, you're the awful argument. If the baby is disabling me to terminate the pregnancy went way down like Adolf Hitler, are you healthy person through your perception, your own perception tried to put on me what my value of life is according to you, I think that we have forgotten how beautiful adversity can be how it is so often the weakest among us that we we learn something sorely lacking in the nation.

At present, which went them and so yeah I have a phenomenal life is easy. No I did not set up for easy I signed up for extraordinary guys come the land of the free and home of the brave and beautiful thing and beautiful lives. Something great. What a great testimony you were adopted when you were four years old.

As I understand it tells about your family to yours and the impact her adoptive mother in particular. How do you like going up. I you ever got my not a good thing.

My my adoption was a broken one, and I had a very very challenging time going back about a minute, emergency foster care treated very well at all and that Holmes has transferred to another foster home of a woman by the name Penny.

By this time I was 17 months 32,000 deadweight and never supposed to walk or move or run any marathon which I I gave cell and honestly saved my my spirit. She the one taught me to lock one and twice after spinal surgery.

It was her daughter that adopted me my beloved any became my grandmother who lived until just a few years ago. She was 91 chicken for 56 foster children as a single woman and I'm just saying that though my adoption was difficult that the reason I believe that the Lord allowed it.

If you knew that I had been torn away from my Penny my my grandmother that I might my heart would've just broken and and never repaired, so she would. She just was amazing and I'm so grateful when you learned about the circumstances surrounding your birth and how to lose impact you really are timing really love your goal and it was Christmas day and I my adoptive mother was making dinner And I I was never satisfied with the answer to this question, which was going.

Why do I have cerebral palsy and she would always say because you are premature baby because you had a traumatic birth to that one as I was adopted after again because I just I just know and she said you really want to know that yeah and she was trying to soften up a little bit you know your biological mother was John yada yada yada. And II just looked at her and this will sound strange, but I believe in the Holy Spirit and his still small voice that can prepare us for really huge thing in my mind it would that I was supported and so I lifted her and I said I was aborted right and she said yes and I said email as a 12-year-old well at least that's cerebral palsy for an interesting read. Then and I went on my way and honor, but I don't think I would.

I knew what abortion was. I don't think I was fully comprehending that and so one. But that's when I found out and that was my reaction to the film really changed you and hope you did you talk about that if you will and tell us what it was about the movie did impart to do the most well was not about my life fired by my life is different and I and I really do appreciate L is very different from my life, but there were a few that I could really relate to you.

There was a scene. Also, where the woman that played the biological mother just fell down the door. We thing over her over what she had done and and really actress Shay Rigby said that was real, that was real because she had an abortion but she says the Lord came to her in that he began to heal her and there was just moment that I could. I can relate to in the film, and I'm and I'm really grateful for that and I really appreciative of the Irwin brothers to put that together.

I think it's a really it's a gentle way of getting the truth across two people in a an issue that people really don't want to discuss. You mentioned that you have forgiven your birth mother Mitchell years ago when she actually approached you what conference, what was that meeting, like for you and for her coming because my adopted mother had met with her and told her my forgiveness that I'm a Christian, but that I respectfully didn't want relationship that I want to know that in and see continue to not have a very high regard for my life. So she came anyway and had been watching me for quite some time at an event waiting for the crimes committed, let me know, and she just came up that I'm your mother and no warning.

Nothing for a pack live as a Christian for doing prior to that was visibly my heart Holy Spirit know what would you your biological mother: to an event but what would you say how would you handle it. What would you do, she disrupted and at this very moment the Lord so clearly in my heart.

Gianna you are a little princess stand up, speak with the authority of one and I stood up and I said ma'am I am a Christian and I forgive you but I will no longer allow you to me in this manner, and I got up and I walked out the reason I tell you that piece of that is because we are a nation come cultivating a nation of victim and I am the victim and I am not the fine by what she said or by what you say or anyone. I am in my am defined by him. So anyone in his bedroom through horrific thing you can choose today to see you to be a victim or not. Praise God for leading you away but just amazing. Just based on the story that you shared with socially credible testimony of your incredible experience in your heart filled dues are unknown for women who have had abortion or maybe in a circumstance where there are even considering that right now.
