What is the Bible have to say that anything in the world that we can look to look at that would give us a clue as to the coming of the Lord Jesus.

How long are we going to be on this earth. How many more generations will be around. Will they be people a thousand years from now preaching the same thing. Remembering those of us who lived in the dark ages.

For those of you who are not get married. Would you ever get to marry zany reason why we should be excited about the second coming of the Lord and when he does come, what precedes his coming. What is the tribulation, who by the way, is the antichrist. What is he going to do. Where is he going to come from. Is there any kind of timeline that God gives to us in his word, can we talk this. Inheritors do we have any hope for tomorrow.

What we do until he comes.

What is God expect of us where we going when he does, and when Jesus comes again. All we already going to be in heaven all we going to actually come back with him. Can you just picture the disciples remember that they were Galileans, folks that Galileans were regarded as kind of the poorer people of Jesus day they were just fishermen. You remember Peter, Matthew and John and all the boys they were just a bunch of fishermen like, hung around the Sea of Galilee and court fission a whole lot of nothing and sat around tables and boot fires at black just chatted together and had a big time they were the country boys of the day. Can you imagine these country boys are gone down to Jerusalem with Jesus that we think well that's too smart to fall but in Jesus day that was a long way and I didn't have motorbikes and airplanes and helicopters. They walk and it was a long way, and it was a difficult way and so I all you Jerusalem, standing there looking at the magnificence of the temple to borrow a phrase folks that were blown away by the enormity and the magnificence of the temple. That's the problem here. That's what they were going to do going to Mark's gospel.

Mark actually reports what they said. Mark says that the disciples looked up and said, wow, Lord. Look at this place. We can hardly believe that anybody could bring the building as magnificent as this. You know it's kind of like standing there looking at an incredible building and signing wow water boarding marble.

What an incredible thing. Can you believe that they would build such a thing. And Jesus looks at the disciples and Jesus who is the cornerstone the marsh.

The Buddha, the one who built the world from before the foundation of the world constructed every senior of the body of mankind who understands the intricacies of things that boggle the minds of human understanding Jesus as always looked at his disciples with great compassion and perhaps a little bit of amusement and he saw this look of bewilderment upon their faces, and he said to them in verse two.

You see all these things are, I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another, every one will be thrown down. The other disciples are looking at this incredible thing and Jesus turns to them and he says something that is raw. The remarkable he says.

I tell you what the truth did you see that their neighbors are tell you the truth.

Why would Jesus who is the truth have to say I tell you the truth. That's why when someone comes up to me and says to me pasta. I promise you I'm going to do this and I want to cite my heart promised me. I believe that the promise me you putting your reputation online you so you going to do this.

But promise me this.

I believe I trust in you. Jesus said I am the truth, but I'm also going to tell you because of your limit as a human being. I'm dying to tell you that I am not only the truth but what I am saying to you is the truth and just to get your attention, I'm going to tell you something. See this incredible temple. I wish I had times to go back and give you the die mentions of the spring folks. It was a magnificent building. It was believable and Jesus turns to the disciples and says boys, let me tell you something that is going to come a time that not one stone going to be (this whole thing is going to come crashing down. There was one little difference. Folks, this was Jesus talking, you need to know about these things because if you don't know them. You not understand anything about what Jesus would say, but he doesn't just leave it. You see, from that point he makes this comment about the temple and then turns around and walks out what happens here in verse three as Jesus was sitting on the Mount of olives, the disciples came to him privately and they said tell us when will this happen. I guess what happens around. I want you to just picture with me quickly. I'm over here at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. By the way when you see it on television. You see that big old golden dome on television. It's a landmark in his that's where the temple was right there on the one side of the eastern side of Jerusalem are and I guess what happened. They walked out of the temple and I took a left and I went to the eastern date and then I went down the hill into the Kidron Valley which runs around the wall of Jerusalem.

When I got through the Kidron Valley.

They went into the garden of Gethsemane. You remember the disciples did not is because it hadn't happened yet that Jesus and the disciples were going to going to the garden of Gethsemane and Jesus was going to play in. The disciples were going to go to sleep and everybody was going to come and arrest Jesus and Peter was going to cut the arrow. One of the soldiers and Jesus was going to be taken and crucified.

Well that went out through the garden of Gethsemane Postel letters date trees and every and went up onto the Mount of olives, where Jesus was ultimately going to seem to be seated at the right hand of the father but the disciples didn't know that. And you can just imagine that they are going for those walk all the way down the hill.

They whispering to each other. What in the blue Matthew spent some just don't think the Lord hear me but did you hear what he said about the temple booting say some stuff but that some staff what you mean. I mean the heavy authority they get up on the Mount of olives and the Bible says Jesus was sitting on the Mount of olives. Why was he sitting because that was one of the ways Jesus taught. But he was also arrested. He had probably walk and I can just see Jesus sitting there might be on a tree trunk around the rock respond and the disciples walkover raw. They couldn't quite get it together. They weren't quite willing to accept the fact that Jesus have to die first and be buried in the grave and then appear to over 500 and Dana seem to be seated at the right hand of the father, followed by an entire then followed by the tribulation, the Antichrist, before Jesus would come again but had no idea. For then there will be great distress unequaled from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be equaled again that I guess what Jesus did hear the disciples on the Mount of olives that gone through this temporal experience in Jesus is about to tell us about three things about the destruction of the temple about the signs of his coming and about the end of the age. He says you need to look at the Jews.

You need to look at the Jews value with the Jews. The Jews were the people that were the people of the Lord Jesus. Jesus was a Jew.

The disciples were Jews. They lived among the Jews.

They understood the Jewish culture that came out of the Jewish religious persuasion, let me tell you something about the Jews of Jesus day folks. The Jews of Jesus day knew their religion.

They were in school all a very deeply religious people and there is one thing that you can say about the Jewish people, folks they know their Bible. What is the Jewish Bible.

It is the book of Albert. It is the Old Testament. The Jews missed out on just one very significant life-changing event.

They never got beyond the Old Testament they never got to Calvary they never stood at the feet of Jesus. They never accepted the fact that this Messiah is the son of the living God gave his life for us became sin for us, even though he knew the same. The Jewish people in all their religiosity.

They couldn't see beyond their oppression and their suppression at the hands of the Roman intimidated but they knew the Scriptures bothering you the script and time without number right through the Old Testament and the prophets you read the prophecies concerning this one, the Messiah, the deliverance of the Jews, the one who is coming the rise and fall of nations, even the tribulation. The Jews understood and believed and I was looking for a Messiah Jesus was telling the disciples, if you want to understand the onset to these questions and if you want to know some clues to my coming you better begin to look at your own people what of the Jews believe number one.

They believe that he is coming. The coming of our Lord would be preceded by time of tribulation.

That's what the Old Testament says in Revelation confirms that they believed in the second place that a forerunner would appear to announce the coming of the Messiah. Well, who was therefore what was his name John the Baptist. John the Baptist was great. He came in he announced he stood up there on these pulpit in between bites of locusts and honey, and he said there is one who comes off to me for whom I'm not worthy to tie his shoes.

They believed in the third place from the Old Testament that a Messiah would appear in person.

The historical writings of the Jewish people that nations would rise up against the Messiah. Revelation tells us that Jesus will confirm that they believed in the first place that these nations would be destroyed. While the book of Revelation shows us that mom going to show you that nations will rise up again to calm the armies are going to march against the Lord Jesus Christ.

But the Bible says that the Lamb will come riding on a white horse, and he's going to march to the battle of Armageddon and he's going to defeat the nations of the world. To the extent that the blood is going to flow up to the level of the blitzing horses mouth Jews believed in the six place the Jerusalem would be restored. That's exactly what happened.

The Bible says that when Jesus comes again that he's going to set up his thousand year reign right there in the holy city. They believed in the seventh place the Jews would come back together again. Yes, we understand them now because of 1948 we read about the league of Nations and the United Nations organization. We understand that but the Jews could not see these things that they would come back together again. But they understood it ate instance. They believe that Palestine would become the center of the world. All what an incredible thing. It's a small little drop in the bucket. It's a tiny nation and without modern amenities.
