Hi, I met my cohost Rhiannon Michael: I like Mormonism to be brighter than we were told to join us for discussions about our journeys Mormon to Jesus chosen Truth Network podcast started just enjoying sharing most of thinking for listening to The Truth Podcast Network. This is good Truth Network encouraging prayer, God offers open imitation for his people to talk with him anytime about anything urgent prayer. Dr. James Banks, sewing, and many other books on prayer provides weekly physical insight help you learn to mom about discussing talk about hugging, no little about Brown one time when I was a pastor. The young leader came to my study I was reading the book and looked up syrup that I went to a Bible study last night and I learned some really good stuff. I learned that you can't hug us to get back. Good illustration uses some time and went back to my reading hoping she would leave their primary last one there I learned something else. Last night I went to babysit after the Bible study from two-year-old cute pleading about all day. And with this kid I've ever seen. I walked into his room and he lifted up his arms to be hugged. I found the easier to hug you dirty kid stiff. I love that illustration. Tell me something about love certainly does mean sometimes it really can be stiff kids when it comes to Jesus.

Callaway yeah you know that's what I was thinking this morning I was in my study, I believe the Lord really did speak to me of verse seven word actually took me several minutes to realize that I had a lot of things going on my heart and mind pastoring a church in a pandemic can be a challenging thing one sitting there, dwelling on this some words came to mind Jesus work. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid. And like I said before, sometimes when God speaks to me. I'm like the proverbial dinosaur you know I get hit on the tale of five minutes so I'm sitting there and suddenly I realized that was not love it when that happens right and I love those words that Jesus said right before the piece I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give them exactly in many not be afraid. That's really what I want to talk about today… Hugging so much leaning, leaning into that plea as soon as I realize those words were from God. It helped me so much.

I was able to last much after the weekend and I really needed to do that and I realized I just need to lean on, and more. I don't want to be a stiff goblets to hug me. I'm going to let him lean into him and I know that may sound a little touchy-feely for some but the point is Jesus promised us his peace and we avail ourselves of that. Don't and often we don't we choose to handle things in our own strength and go to the data distance from God not mean to be distant but we get so focused on efforts to handle things as if it's all up to that make sense. It makes me think of that old hymn, right leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.

Let's talk about that we lean more. I mean this is where the prayer part comes in writing yeah where it helps you to think about money kid babysitter couldn't refuse. Even though it was, and starts placing ourselves the same way. Realizing that no matter how much of a mess.

We may be really does love us like he wants to pull us closer and that's the very reason Jesus went to the cross for us. He loved us words come to him confessing our sins and turning from them to him that when we lean into him bite meeting how much we need him and realizing that his love for us is perfect. What becomes this his heart matter, knowing that we can come to him, but even though we we may know that conceptually again. It has to become this his heart matter. We have to learn to practice it, moment by moment, and that so let's talk about that and how do we pray and lean at the same time will think about some of the things we say when we lean, we might say all love you so much for it so good to see you. There's a section there. I need to learn to be affectionate with our Abba father. Jesus certainly wasn't.

Think also about how others were with Jesus, like the woman who washed his feet with her hair and kissed him, or Johnny, can you imagine leaning on them all the way through the Last Supper. Yeah, I love that you know Jesus never turned away from that section and it would all love the Lord our God with all our heart and soul, mind and strength.

As the Bible indicates we need to learn that our Savior isn't emotionally distant from us. We really can lead into him in our spirits and declare our dependence on some are downright don't just exactly tell them you love them helmet so good to have them in your life all out name, the name of Jesus just praise his name several times throughout the day, the more the better expression heart.

I believe that such a key part of the way Jesus prayed.

That's why Jesus called the father is tender, familiar, affectionate term. He really modeled this kind prayer for us and you know James, I really believe God blesses us when we do that, it gives us more of himself. Yeah Robbie, I so agree what Jesus said about the woman who anointed his feet with perfume good news about sugared her story would be remembered like you saying that devotion disaffection mark that it's a good thing. Don't hold that wow I'm so glad we had this talk today because it really is how we sense is peace that we do this right. The more we will until James wanted to wrap things up with a prayer asking God to help us lean more safe and secure from all alarms and yellow father raised you and you, Lord Jesus. We lean on you today.

We just affirm how much we need you Holy Spirit love you more and hear more from Pastor James by visiting the website.
