What I will do it from well kinda what you gotta read the context.

What you will abide in me and my words abide in you, you see the difference because it did not abide in him and his word is not abide in you is what you desire, and the God part of the growth process for a believer in Christ is learning how to conform to God's will exchange her own desires for his desires.

Hello and welcome to Destin for victory with pastor Paul Sheppard were always glad to have you join us so let me ask you you gotten to a point in your walk with Christ that you've laid down your own will, in favor of his today pastor Paul encourages you to seek God's desire that shows you how to discover what God's desire is to stay with us here or visit pastor Paul.net any time to listen to Destin for victory on demand. John 15 seven Jesus said, what is your and it shall be done for you, but it has a text and what I will do it for well kinda what you gotta read the contents what's the context you will abide in me and my words abide in you, you see the difference because it did not abide in him and is not abide in you is what you desire God to do it because you didn't meet the condition about a seed that you can't just grab what you desire what I desire, no. Are you abiding in him abide means well. I live my life in him.

I live my life would kingdom values. I live my life to glorify him. I live my life to advance his kingdom. I want only what God wants. And in that context abide in him and is not what you don't know ask Beth why do gotta come the chart just like you got a personal prayer life and that's why you need to show soap in the word of God. If you don't know what you are biblically illiterate and therefore you don't know how to ask properly aligned about to get me on that. That's one example of a good example to form says and the peace of God which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus have peace to understand claiming that well before you go to claimant read the verses that preceded rejoice in the Lord always again I will say, rejoice. If you're not a rejoice or you don't get to walk in peace. If you walk in complaint. You can't walk in peace. If you walk in my mind.

You can't walk in peace walk and rejoicing get to walk and rejoice always. Sometimes posted rejoice in the Lord always say it again rejoice.

Verse five let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

So you gotta love not only rejoicing but you got a person who is the Spirit being cultivated in your life.

You are a person who walks in gentleness. One of the front of the spirit. You gotta learn to be meek, not weak but meek handle things with gentleness.

Gotta learn that it's not worth getting all worked up over walk in gentleness, especially as you handle other people.

Some of you don't get to walk in peace because you're always abrasive with other people. Some of you need to teach your cell how to talk how to behave in a way that isn't unnecessarily brought in abrasive, you can be persuasive without being abrasive, you can learn to get your point over the backup. If you want to hear rain don't come at me like you are an enemy so we almost wound up always come in football okay not to put someone on the road looked down.

You can figure out who it is always come in for some might say if they get don't do that gentle, make sure you recognize the Lord in him all is well everything will work out and then look at what else precedes the promise verse six be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. That's a big one if you want to walk in peace. You gotta rejoice. You gotta be gentle and now you gotta learn to quit. What about stuff. Be anxious for nothing. The Bible is saying you have no business as a child of God being a life characterized by worry worry is a futile emotion and has no place in the life of a child of God.

You know what goes where he got dog thing you see how, so yes sir will say darn the other. The war was not going, what about the shock you like I had taught myself there words you can use the words that would cause an issue you just understand it doesn't do what you want about something did something positive, worry is not needed in the life of a child of God.

Don't worry about anything that sounds impracticable know people reading about everything. I replaced worry with prayer. That's why all the time so I don't worry all the time. Not only do you read two chapters or whatever you read today and you get the word in you and you pray you talk to God. Your prayer day.

All of that, even when you're in the shower you start praying about stuff you won't worry about when you're driving about stuff you won't worry about when you walk in the office and you see somebody who would be worry some old Jesus Lord help me right now I'm walking to my face, Lord, did in my countenance.

Me represent you give me the grace to bring out some foolishness. Lord help me. That's how you keep talking about everything you pull up to the house.

All seems abide and automatically they look wrong, you pull ability, Lord, what is all right Jesus come home with me on Morgan's house and I'm giving it to God. I'm praying about everything.

Help me not to act out. Help me not to come for folk unnecessarily. Help me not to catch a case, whatever it is selves. People call the case. Catch know how to pray and hand behind the back and says Rabbi we can all everybody was made that mistake knows what it is. In retrospect, they thought only I had done this instead of we all have the chance to do this but you gotta play so the Holy Spirit can do this to do so you'll get to just claim the peace without doing the work that the previous verses tell you one more illustration of this point about the importance of the context go to the Old Testament. Psalm 91. This is a Psalm of Moses, David, and write all the songs there are the psalmist and this is a Psalm actually of Moses. Here are some wonderful plans that hurtful quote beginning with verse three. Surely he will deliver you from the snare of the Fowler and from the perilous pestilence and he will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings shall take refuge be your shield and buckler. You won't be afraid of the terror by night or the arrow that flies by day, nor pestilence that walks in darkness, no destruction that lays waste at noon day and they expressly love this with a thousand may fall at your side and 10,000 at your right hand, but it shall not come near you in her life will try to claim that claimant for the filing will fall at my side and down the right hand but is not come near me. I got a question, did you happen to read verse one, because verse one says he will do well in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. If you are not in the sacred place natural side right hand down why I'm going down because I'm not in the secret place where all that can be fulfilled in my life in the secret place with the Lord. He's got me covered so you don't grab a promise and leave off the condition condition is what drives the so you can ignore the context and grab what the Scriptures are teaching us so don't try to claim all the promises when you haven't met the conditions we have to be mindful of the contents coming up next. Did you know that you can forgive people even if they don't ask for it. It's true is pastor Paul and the rest of today's message praying about personal needs and desires. Jesus is helping us learn how to praise. He's helping us learn how to petition on behalf of others MDs principles that I've given you will help guide you in the giving of your personal request. Make sure you mindful of those four things we mentioned they will teach you how to pray and pray correctly how to give your personal request and do so in a correct manner.

Now the next one that everybody wants to accept and forgive us our debts, keep reading, as we forgive our debtors. So you got praise you got petitions on behalf of others. You have personal request.

Now you have part in for your offenders in your prayer life. You gotta add pardon for your offenders. So you keep your accounts short with people you keep making sure you don't have unresolved issues with people why because if you're going to represent Jesus. And if you're going to experience a powerful prayer life. You can't let it get bogged down with personal stuff that's unresolved. So Jesus says as you are receiving the forgiveness we get from the Lord, you've got to give horizontal forgiveness. Some folk not to put somebody on your role once vertical forgiveness every time they seek but horizontally some folk on quite ready to offer that. Now let me help clarify that I do every time I preach on forgiveness because it frees some folks because some folks are no different. They asked for my forgiveness. See receive forgiveness from on high the Lord to forgive me but shaky people did not ask me to forgive them. How can I know this commandment to forgive when they haven't even applied for forgiveness. Glad you asked. Here's the answer. Although they can't receive forgiveness from you because they haven't come to receive the gift you can still have a forgiving heart toward them so that should they change their heart in their mind you are ready to give them because you have already forgiven them in your heart and you, have it on the shelf ready for them to pick up all I gotta do is come pick it up. Got it for you right here. You have to have a forgiving heart pastor when you get a from that don't sound like to make one look at what Jesus did on the cross. Father put them, for they don't know what they're doing. They haven't asked him for his forgiveness but he didn't.

Right between him and the father forgive them. Lord, because they don't know what they're doing. Stephen the first Christian martyr mentioned in Scripture. In acts chapter 7 look at Stephen dying and as he was being stoned.

He says to God, lay not this sin to their charge that killing him asking for forgiveness. They want him dead but Stephen said I'm not going to happen. These people it's a conversation between you and God would be where you'd asked for forgiveness between you and now here's the practical thing I often say because it's really important. How do I receive forgiveness from God, I come to him and asked for if I don't have court he's ready to forgive me but I haven't asked for so how do people get forgiveness from me.

They come and ask for what if they don't acknowledge it. There are some people who will never acknowledge it because it have to admit they were wrong in order to ask you to forgive them that you met him yet there are some people who would never come to you. Some folk were in denial when you tell them what they did not bring us more insulting than somebody trespass against you and when you try to show them their trespassing. Just flat out did Nigel know some people in denial.

People know they didn't glad they did it and the only thing that bothered about the event that they can get your words with those people you can only those people by taking it to God.

What will I get past the how to take it to God.

How do I handle it when they won't come clean about it. But we forget the Greek word translated, forgive here is a Greek word that means to send away. So what I'm doing is taking the time taken their sin against me. I'm thinking how wrong they treated me how wrong they spoke what they try to do to undermine me. Whatever they did. I'm taking it in same time not built to handle this. So Lord forgiving. I'm sending this offense to you.

I'm forwarding this to the Lord because he said, vengeance is here and that frees you because you don't do that, you'll end up being a jailer, you end up keeping people in the jail cell of your heart, could you gotta feed him every day you gotta do some you gotta maintain the jail and using what I would immediately delete what we know in your heart that will die. So you got a minute in jail. And even if you won't send me food. Bread and water anything they still alive in their you know they still alive because every time you see them every time you think of every time you hear the name also.

We all just get registered. How many soon as you have a name soon as you see that base soon as you hear something happening that family soon as you drive by the place where the offense took place, triggers, and suddenly you change people, which is what change so you don't get to ignore them when you release some for your sake. That's how I get to live in freedom. I get this sometime one and the people God wouldn't let me handle it. It would be a very different thing. But since he will give me the right send it to him.

Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. The Bible says don't be envious of the wicked, they will soon be Carl you don't know when someone is so might not be where you get to see it all. In fact, there are some people don't get bears in your lifetime. That's why you have to have given it to him.

That's how you get to live when short accounts because Jesus said if you don't forgive people their trespasses, neither will your heavenly father forgive you yours.

Now you got me real good but you get me so well that I gotta forfeit my forgiveness in order to hold you in on forgiveness. You are not that important.

Yeah, you got me real good.

You didn't roll yet you made things challenging, but I am releasing you because you deserve it but because I deserve to accept the gift of forgiveness.

God gave me to lose my victory over know much power I gotta get it right in my heart. First, or else I will have a jail. I gotta keep you in the bondage of my heart and some might as well be honest, we all have a jail sale with people in Seminole got a whole cellblock just come home to be real. So we all got cellblock C whole bunch of phone got solitary and so you got work to do. Why because you're going to miss the joy of the Lord fool around all those people God got you so that you compromise your walk know I'm giving you to God. Once your free blessings that you will experience there is grace you'll get there's peace you get because you were letting the word of God address those issues, so pardon for your offenders. You want to tell them the forgiven prevailing but you do have to tell but I forgive them for your sake I given that you did they ever come want to get right. Give me the grace offer the gift.
