Everyone thought about the Last Supper, when Jesus the throne of the thing about the Jesus knew why he didn't treat you differently than the other 11 talents welcome to cross the bridge would be date is the senior pastor of the bridge in Kernersville, North Carolina throughout Scripture we find that we are told that luck and not so much in judgment and condemnation.

Find out how we can do that today is Pastor David continues in the book of Romans chapter 2 but before getting to the days to from beginning to end.

The Bible shows the special nature of God's relationship with the nation. What does that have to do with you today. Romans chapter 11 tells us that God's covenant relationship with Israel has implications for to help you understand more.

Pastor David wants to sing his teaching video recorded in the holy land called Israel. The Bible, this powerful resource will encourage strength and learn how connected you are with God's Israel.

The Bible is our gift donations to help more people on this station and beyond cross the bridge from death to life's visit cross the bridge.com to request your copy again cross the bridge now appears they didn't even part three of his teaching judgment. So we are in Romans chapter 2 verse four or do you despise the riches of his goodness and forbearance and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance.

I love that verse.

That verse changed the way I thought of the gospel and the good news because it really is as a messenger of the gospel is a proclaimer of the gospel you Angeles oh the Greek word, we get our word for evangelism for teller of good news.

It is the goodness of God that leads people to repent leads people to come to. I know there's some ministries and some people that would argue this point, but there really arguing with the word of God. Now, does this mean we should never say anybody's done anything wrong or we stand guilty before the Lord, absolutely not. Again, the beauty of the verse by verse teaching, we just came out of chapter 1 where all of us stood condemned, and in the chapter 2 with a self-righteous stand condemned, and there in the balance of it is pulsing but as the goodness of God that leads us to repentance. It draws us to the Lord, the goodness of God is kind of blows away the a lot of us, especially if you grew up in church, you cannot sometimes in churches you can get the wrong picture of God. You can feel like God is somehow to be some big sniper in the sky and you're on the path and he's just wait. He's got you in the crosshairs brother you get a step out. All I is and what the Bible says is that the picture that this verse paints of God. The big sniper in the sky wait for you to get a lot taken takeout thing about I thought about different times and thought about how many and what I would've done about was God. We can both rejoice that I'm not as I know what I adamantly ate the fruit I told you not to eat the fruit very day they ate it yesterday or start again wiped out. And okay and able things will fall apart. Anyways, I'm just taking out early God comes annoyances no man in the world is messed up and here's what happened, or to build our and then he waits 120 years. Over and over and over in the Bible we see this played out Judas betrayed the Lord for 30 pieces of silver. He shows up in the garden of Gethsemane.

No, I've been there and then the Lord and Judas came up to me, that would not been good.

Are you not entity to get tenure sort Judas ferment low exhortation correction but go on with her brother Judas ever thought about this. The Last Supper, when Jesus sits around and says some item number training. The disciples didn't know what thing about this friend Jesus knew who it was but he didn't treat Judas differently than the other 11 what a challenge. I know that in my life treated people differently because what I thought they might do.

Jesus knew not only didn't treat them differently but it's extended grace and mercy every point, even when he came to the garden of Gethsemane Jesus says Fran why have you come. Jesus knew I was there.

It was mortal wanted to do this. Why did you choose this route instead of accepting my grace and my forget extending mercy. Once again, you can bring that into the present day all the stuff is going on with the world. All the hate in the war and all these things, and yet God is still being patient says you grew up with that sniper image from you need to let that go. That is unbeatable. God is merciful God is gracious God is good and if you get caught up if your relationship with the Lord is based on that sniper thing, but what kind of believer are you going to be you going to be better to be cynical to be hateful. You not only gonna think that God deals with you like that, you're going to go around telling everybody else to God is a big diaper in the Scott is waiting to take you the goodness of God leads us to repentance response in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself laugh in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, the power to choose us is an incredible force. Each one of us has the power to choose each one of us. This morning has the power to go God's way to go our way. You have the power to accept Jesus as your Savior or to reject him as your Savior, God has given you that power have heard the question will you know. Why would God create us knowing that we have a bend towards doing wrong and be himself because he loves us so much that he wanted us to choose him rather than build little robot see you guys are here this morning because necessarily you had to be here. I get some of you may have had the baby or spouses know you're going but a lot of people in here made the decision to be to choose. So in essence, you're choosing your choosing God's grace now need to understand different if you reject God's grace what your receipt if you reject is the race if you reject Jesus your choosing judgment to your choice, but that's the AB there's not see there's not the there's not none of the above. It's a or B.

God's grace God's judgment.

God's grace God's wrath. The life lesson here God's wrath is revealed when God's grace is reject God's wrath is revealed when God's grace is reject you know what I do and it teaches and I want to equip you guys to have conversations because you guys go to school is a good word different places including neighborhood you have opportunities to have conversations. I will never try to deal with something. One thing that I've heard is this hate will of God is a God of love. How can a God of love and work in them somebody to hell. How can a God of love, send people to hell. You understand something, God will not send any one to hell. God will do it now not a universal time and that everybody goes to heaven teaching in the church in some churches today that everybody got him whether Islamic with the Buddhist weather whatever agnostic and atheistic it whatever it right when I have another that some of the bottles but God will not send anybody but some people will choose the make that choice. You need understand hell wasn't even created for people were told that the Bible Matthew 2541 says then the King will turn to those on the left and safe way with you. You curse ones into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons is not for people, but some people when they reject Jesus or say it now. I would rather be judged according to the Bible. That's not a good place.

Courses been rocked highway to hell than other songs off all were just going to go down there and party and I don't think so. The Bible talks about it being a place of darkness in a place of pain don't know if you've ever been in a place of darkness for any long. It's extremely uncomfortable part about the gnashing of teeth either harsh things, but we get to choose senior year in here today if your lesson judgment good to it doesn't matter where you are right now you could be rejecting Jesus say no I don't I don't believe that I don't want to follow it and look what God is doing to you right weather here.

Whether you're watching television, listen to radio, Internet, whatever God has been good to you sent. Look, here's my grace take my grace don't reject my grace and I hope you're here and God is been so good to especially here in this country. There's people in the world that will eat today. People that don't have medical care at all the people that don't have clean water here you are, and got up and so good to you and I know it's a great academic procession. The safe, what about the people who haven't heard from them talking to you and you are hearing and God has been good to you. The question is not what will somebody do that hasn't heard is what will you do with what you have for is the real question.

The other thing smokescreen you're listening to Pastor David McGee on cross the bridge to be back with more powerful insight from God's word in just a moment but first, God's grace and mercy is greater than any of us could ever fathom. That's why he's been so faithful to the nation of Israel throughout the ages.

He's not finished. He's promised to remain true to them to the end.

We want to show you what God's faithfulness toward Israel says about his relationship with you by sending you Pastor David's teaching video Israel the Bible and you in this exciting teaching recorded in the heart of the holy land.

Pastor David unpacks important truths from God's relationships with Israel that impact your life today. Israel the Bible and you is our gift to thank you for your donation to help more people on this station and beyond cross the bridge from death to life. So visit cross the bridge.com to request yours again. That website is cross the bridge.com. Now back to today's teaching verse six, who will render to each one according to his deeds interesting verse that we need understand something because God gives us grace and mercy and I absolutely believe in the grace of God that we come to salvation by grace through faith not of works, Bible talks about the but we need understand because I've had frequent conversations like the one alluded to before four slices will say I'm not going to church on time and I'm not certain about doing anything until the budget is not doing it read my Bible not doing anything is like okay there is a biblical concept that were supposed to be doing things for God. Once we come to that acceptance of grace.

You don't earn that grace and that favor the one to receive that grace.

Once you understand the goodness of God. Fran, it is natural spiritually for you to begin to do things for the Lord and according to the Bible, we will be judged according to what we do for the Lord. Let me give you some verses second Corinthians 510 for we must all all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body according to what he is done, whether good or bad and Jesus talks about rewards. Matthew 512 says rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 546 for if you love those who love you, what reward have you do not even the tax collectors do the same as a cutting person is ears around you know what, here's the thing you you folks may be on you for your your lovable you're just we're just lovely easy to what most of it's easy to love most of you really.

Some of you, God still working in those emails or help so we love each other and we've had, you know, one of the things that we hear a lot staff and leadership is people coming again never sensed this community.

This feeling this love this acceptance that genuine thing that happens here that's like music to my ears. And if you're struggling like I'm struggling to love somebody here Jesus saying you know what you doing get anything for love and somebody here. There is no reward. The rewards come when you begin to love the unlovable. That's a challenge when you begin to love people forget in your face calling you names accusing you of this is that God can allow you supernatural he's done it in my life and ministry. Sometimes I'm so challenge of this is one minute we might all your worlds best pastor now such love you is like two days later. Your call later.

I hate you, filled with demons. You notice like did I change that much in two days are good enough to challenge know what his mom says this is the love Priscilla not just when they love me. But even when they don't love me and got to Jean and give your reward for Matthew 61 take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound the trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, but they may have glory for men assuredly SAB. They have the rewards when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. The church is the may be done in secret, and your father who sees in secret will himself reward you openly. So apparently this rewards ceremony in heaven will be a very public one will be done behind closed doors and in that moment of time. Friend, you think you're going to wish that perhaps you've done more for the Lord sometimes play this out in my head as I realized when I get there.

You know it Lord's done incredible work in this church in and through this ministry, but I think when the rewards start getting out and handed out as far as reward people openly trying to be a people to pray for me on a regular basis in the vertical. But Jesus will call for first and I'll probably stand up TV and radio.

You there words openly met call for the people are praying for you and the sounds of the works behind closed doors through a few more Matthew chapter 10 verse 46 says. And whoever gives one of these little ones only a couple: in the name of a disciple. Assuredly, I say to you, they shall by no means lose his reward someone to do something good for God.

According to the Bible, you can lose it you're storing if you do something good in the name of the Lord your storing up these rewards if you encourage somebody in the Lord that I reward doublethink give somebody a couple: how easy is God's as I reward you for first Corinthians 3 that you plant new waters are one each one will receive his own reward according to his all labor Jim Moses look forward to the rewards of doing what he did for the bodices Hebrews chapter 1124 by faith Moses when he became of age refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God and enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt, for he looked to the reward to see them talk about the rewards legal.

You should be should be focused on reward was about to talk about what about all from God's as I reward you because we are motivated by rewards and that's not always a bad thing. So you went into work tomorrow morning your boss to take this new program will be doing at work and guess what, you're not getting a paycheck and what what will you do. God bless you, and there's no reward for going to work. You probably will stay there long as some of you may be blessed, and blessed positions were in no you do it anyway.

If something happened and I was told that I'd be here next Sunday I you and must be where did this for like a year and 1/2 full time before I even accepted us out. But see, I can't really say I'm not doing that without reward right so I understand. I'm sort of heavenly reward affect in the closing verses about Revelation 2212 and, behold, I am this is Jesus big time.

Come quickly and my reward is with me to give to everyone according to his work is closing verses is like a closing play close of the book the close of the teaching can get to the more important part right there and you say hey you know I'm common, I've got to get whoever is done much on the final lifeless things that we do for the Lord's heavenly rewards things that we do for the Lord harness heavenly reward.

We understand about yes were saved by grace between innocent. According to the bottom were rewarded for what we do for the Lord not talk about serving in the church and firmly believe that I do not believe in spectator Christianity. I do not believe that something that you watch other people do. Jesus says is people come into his presence in heaven is say well done, thou good and faithful spectator. Well done, thou good and faithful servant friend you want to hear those words. I know I do. I want to be standing there on that day going home with no God.

I interviewed and come back when you did it right side of her spark get Volvos. I got I thought about doing that VBS thing to lay and I'm telling you this openly because the I don't want you to get there and then got to hand out reward reward 20, rewards got a look at you boy you go to church.

Did your pastor never tell you about this concept of family reward. I don't happen to me.

So in love is not only anymore, but here's a reality going.

We have the ability the authority, the power to change the world and we have the decision whether to use if somebody has a cure for a deadly disease that It at home in the closet walked up never showed it to anybody you think about that person. But there's a disease that killed far more than any human diseases put together that disease is called sin. There's only one cure friend and asked Jesus and his winning the lost and the unbelieving people filled with shame and guilt and fear was important to Jesus should be important if you're here this morning and you're hearing all this is okay so so God wants me to do a bunch of stuff for appointment when first thing God wants from you is not your deeds. You want your heart.

You want your life and if you're sitting here this morning and you rejected the Lord you've not asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins, God is not interested in your deeds you want your heart. You want your life is matter fact you may have never heard a pastor say this God is that if you don't believe in him. If you rejected him as your Savior and is Jesus. He's not interested in your money.

I don't care what any teaching pastor or television show says the God wants your heart want your whole life. If you're here this morning and there is any doubt in your mind there's any wondering in your mind whether you know Jesus as your Savior, for need to settle that this morning.

Maybe even thinking well I just cannot know God is interested in my good works and I was hoping that I would do the best I could and in my good would outweigh my bad. When I get to them of this like that's not what this book says this book says plainly here. Good will never outweigh your back.

You gotta come to him understanding his merciful and he's graceful and he wants to forget again as we spoke once you come to you I should begin the change should begin doing the things that we talked about this morning, friend.

You know for sure that your sins have been forgiven. You can know right now own Legion. A short simple prayer simply telling God you're sorry and asking him to help you to live for him. God wants you to pray this prayer so much that he died to give you the opportunity and the ability to ask him to forgive you.

Please pray this prayer with me out loud right now. Dear Jesus, I believe you died for me that I could be forgiven and I believe you were raised from the dead that I can have a new life not done wrong things I have sent and I'm sorry. Please forgive me of all those things.

Please give me the power to live for you. All of my days in Jesus name, amen friend.
