Mark Mix National Right to Work discusses the efforts by the progressives to use Unions to make our nation communist through control of the labor market and total indoctrination in every area of our country.

Beatrice Gonzalez and her brother Bob Gonzalez give us an update on the effects of Hurricane Ian. Beatrice's ex-husband lives just outside Naples and spent 12 harrowing hours in a safe room in his home as the rest of his house was destroyed by the hurricane. How much that means if we don't get our country back. If we don't turn our country back to God were going to be in trouble are liberties. Our freedoms are guaranteed rights. We the people have been given from God into us, not out here handed to us, but literally put inside of us. Life, liberty and the desire to pursue happiness to to be the best that we can be God put that desire inside of us to want to be our very best for him. It's pretty cool thing. And then of course what we do with our work in India we have 550 pastors that I oversee in Punjab, India, 32 freshwater wells. We have a sewing school for widows. We just launched our fifth, sixth and seventh schools together 64 women so far that we have trained who are now able because of the sewing machines in the training we've given them to provide for their children and their family.

We have an opportunity through a program of buying rickshaws to be able to put Christians to work as rickshaw taxi drivers there in the area around omelettes are and around Punjab, India, and then of course our Bible students in our Bible school and orphanage. Mr. Mark mix joins me mark welcome good to have you family again basher. Thanks for the opportunity to talk about this.

You know, these are interesting times your perspective about how my narrative just a little bit what's happening probably about 32 days or so and and talk a little bit about what's at stake for the American worker in the American workplace. Thanks for the opportunity to do that absolutely well and and we and we gotta talk about, you know. Look, if if America is not here I was last weekend had a chance to sit down. I went to one of my favorite restaurants. Just about 30 miles down the road. Great little Italian place and and it's owned by some fellows from Serbia actually and not Serbia Albania's usually Albania and and and one of their friends was visiting from Albania so I got a chance to sit down on the patio and have a conversation with him and he said you know, listen, if the United States of America were not our friend and were not in existence. I would be dead and there would be no Albanians. The Serbians that's why say excuse me pardon me, the stated but the Serbians would've killed us.

We would all be dead except that they know that were friends with America and he said and coming here sitting here talking with you. There is a dramatic difference between being in my country versus being in your country and I sense the difference and I mentioned to him I said you know were were were the frog in the boiling water.

Right now Mark and and and I think that's a great meaning for you to speak to because that's really where we are yeah actually you know there is a strength that helped found America. We know that's where they came from, you know, there are rights that are ordained by God and no you made any comment in the intro about we people and that's a section important statement right now because if were concerned about the direction of the country concerned about the radical nature – infiltrated our government school system and infiltrated culture. Then when you first get up in the morning we look in the mirror because we the people getting the government we deserve.

And I know there's active forces out there and I know there's someone that probably like a lion but all in this in his constitutional public that we have and one of the important things we do is we get involved.

We get engaged. We get educated and we hold those that we loan power to accountable to do that every two years and some people are often some people do it more often than they should all go down arrow. It is important that we remember that it is this grand experiment that is self-government working government we deserve. And if were not engaged people are engaged and were not keeping track of what's happening were going to continue to get the government we deserve and certainly government is exactly what your friend was talking about the out on the patio is freedom liberty is individual responsibility and individual rights.

And that's a rarity. When you look at the go here in America it's on its tenuous situation in a difficult situation and one of the manifestations of that is the idea that the government actually uses and uses force when it comes to small businesses and individual workers employees is this forcing compulsion that really has brought the union movement down to a place where there really radicalized the leadership of the unions in this country. They are so I talked with rank-and-file workers across the land is extraordinary and hopefully hopefully we have this conversation could talk a little bit about that and the importance of how we basically respond to this compulsion, the federal government grant to this really unique private organization is Our portion of their numbers. It's interesting that as your mentioning that I think about you know when when we think about.

For example, two-party system, the Republicans and the Democrats only think about how the Democratic Party has been taken over by a very radical element that is for all intensive purposes. Communism and that is not who the Democratic Party was the Democratic Party was identified as house, the working class party the you know that that would release in the blue-collar right you know the workers right okay and that's where unions came in and there was a role at a certain point in time for the unions to come in and kinda say hey wait a minute you know some individuals need some specific rights and they need some protection and they need to organize because there are certain elements that have gotten a little out of control.

On the other side of that public body II ironically was not the party of big business.

It was actually the party of racial equality. That was the purpose of the Republican Party initially course that's been lost in the mix but but now when you talk about this now the unions have morphed into something that is entirely different from their original intended purpose. And that's something I think that you're really touching on yeah actually, this is based, union officials, because they between the rank and file workers in the growing wider and wider, particularly when it comes to these regulations.

The silver lining.

If there was one article silver lining. There was the fact that parents got an opportunity to look over the shoulder their kids watch them as the ideas that that parent had no idea what was happening in schools is exposed radical nature of the highest levels of the teachers you national education Association, American Federation of teachers and what we found out his parents and his Players is there is also a lot of trouble. The government school system and change that show really the disconnect between the so-called leadership of these organizations that granted this government to force their Association. All of these teachers across the country and basically use that buyer and a loudspeaker to cow's radical agenda got clean out I think were working on it in.

There's nowhere to be studied in Virginia, where Gov. Glenn Young again defeated Terry McAuliffe called was basically almost inaugurated when the Paulino early on in the campaign.)

When Virginia made a mistake. He said I don't think the parents to be involved in decisions around their children's education, while Maddie woke up a lot of errors and I Glenn Young and said no parent should be involved in any form from our perspective McAuliffe that he would repeal the right to work on Virginia forcing workers back into compulsory unionism, forcing the pay union dues in order to work, grab a few young and one surviving.

I think that same thing is happening across the country to see Mike shortly and like really. I mean, I think. I think that you know they they overplayed their hand when it comes to these you know to these messages that they were bringing in Bay and they essentially you know that they revealed who they really are we knowing that this is who these folks are for years but but they really had got they got so overconfident in. I mean look when you can take a guy that doesn't even campaign and claimed that he got 81 million votes and put them in the White House and and his son Ian. Okay can be a a an absolute bona fide criminal. The whole family. I mean it's on tape.

The things that this guy did and and he can still win the White House. I mean that your kinda sitting there thinking yourself were untouchable. We can do whatever we want and and they really they really show their cards right I would say they showed you said that's exactly the right definition no means you know you have and you got get a little aggressive actually revealing what you have is a whole different thing in the it revealed who they were. When their agenda was in what they were pushing America to be and I think the American people to stand up and we have to stand up to your point is time and we have to be involved and engaged union officials. Another example you talk about Joe Biden being in the White House senior operating engineer running tobacco on the Keystone line project, which is one of the big energy private projects that present problems for your money your money that you donate to goes into the back account and the union officials of the operating. And here's use that intellectual binder White House in the first week of his administration put you on the unemployment line. There's a disconnect that is really excellent example of the case study and everything know the rank-and-file members strong workers rights, lower taxes, smaller government union officials are promoting exactly the well and and not only does it impact that guy who is that his unit was making a really nice wage, but then his family can go out and you know my furniture by cars you know by accessories for their home go to the local restaurants. All the money that they would put into that local economy also evaporates and that is what kills small business to talk more about this coming up national right to work Pres. My very special guest national right to work Pres. Mark mix is where this mark when you when you look at the landscape from the election process. I know one of the big ones that were looking at is the senatorial race in Ohio between JD Vincennes.

Some guy name Ryan but but talk to me about what it is that Ryan is pushing because he's not the only Democrat that's that's trying to push this and it's called the pro act was that about right is currently which means stands for protecting the right to organize, which is written into federal law back in the 1930s the right to organize, especially protected their statutory protections for workers that want to join together voluntarily. Actually, it was silly voluntarily when unions can compel them to join together and associate amplify their voice. Federal statutes Artie recognize that what this is about you and protecting the rights organize what you do about his union officials more power to force more workers into unions and will start with the really first piece of legislation is the repeal of all 27 right to work laws across country. 27 states have laws that say Texas, Virginia, where we are says you have the right to choose whether or not you want to financially support labor union protection right to join a union participating unit associate with union you can lose your job you can still get a job you don't pay union dues or fees so the person doesn't write about 27 right so Tim Ryan and Val Dennings and Catherine Cortez master Ellen Martelli and I see in New Hampshire. They are all supported this bill to wipe outright works to impose 14 and across the entire country again change the way unions are certified for elections by used by eliminating the secret ballot election.

They want to get rid of the private go union officials the power to get you to sign a car, your house at night two or three or maybe four people say you sign this card because you want to be in the union and use a lot not really used in the union. I have other ideas about that and you know that intimidation thing happens out there in the so-called marketplace and so they want to go that route and certifying units and they want to find small business people want to find $50,000 for first offense for an unfair labor charge hundred thousand dollars for small business person violates labor union officials and by the ministration debacle is only for small businesses but the workers and function understand that what they do is is that they actually will send people into your organization and they'll get in there they'll get hired Bill start working for you and about 2 to 3 months in all the sudden you will discover that you've got a Judas working inside of your organization and they'll start creating and and making accusations and you know that the showing up late at night that that almost sounds like what is that that federal Bureau of instigation. I think right. This does not shut us off right away so you know when you talk about Martelli to thankfully Blake Masters. It looks like is is making a run back into this race in Arizona again. It looks like he's closing the gap and and and make up some distance over there right that's what it indicates the color very close very important election and you know Kelly really hasn't had time to become incumbent after winning a special election. Blake Masters is making the right move. For example, he supports Arizona's right to work law and he supports the idea that workers should be able to join you as they want to, but should be about Martelli on the other side of that is trying to remain silent.

We make sure try to make sure that Arizonans know where the candidates stand on those issues is really important to discussing when one of the thing will quicken the bed and then to read about you and never going to be kind to come to an end of our time together but the other thing is national teachers union. That's another one you know when you talk about folks, if you're a parent out there and you're concerned about the indoctrination that is happening to your kids and Mark and I were talking in the break about Gov. Newsom having signed the bill so that California can steal your child away from you.

The teachers can indoctrinate your six, seven and eight-year-old to make him want to take hormone changing drugs and chop up their body. They can steal them, kidnap them to come to California. Folks, this is the national teachers union. This is why this is such an important election. Mark final thoughts yeah easier time I was salting where they send someone an agent of the union to work in your place, and involuntarily. But here we are. I mean we have an election that has lots of different issues that are paramount and we believe that one of the most important issues individual liberty and freedom in the workplace and right work text that doesn't stop you from joining unions so we thank you. I know where the candidates stand the idea forcing you to associate and pay a private organization for the right to work. We think if you make of that minute I believe is wrong is wrong better. I think you believe it's wrong to well I do so real quickly. Your website working folks get more information and start getting emails to stay up to date with where each of these candidates sit yeah. For information about the candidates in legislation your state committee's website and our TWC.org and RTW.org.

Well, I'm very pleased to welcome my next two guests to the program Bob Gonzales you be familiar with ease. The off author of this cool little fishing book flicker in the water and you are also well were pleasure to welcome his sister Beatrice to the program. They are in Florida.

Beatrice and Hannah and her family live down in will, in the very severely damaged area of Florida and want to get an update from them on what's going on over there in the efforts that are being made to restore this from this tragic damage that's been done by hurricane and so I welcome both you Bob Beatrice.

Good to have you with me that's a good well let's let's start Beatrice we could with you.

Welcome to the program. I thank you so much for being with us today. You have taken a trip down and and and seems that some of this devastation of close and personal. Can you tell us about your your initial impressions as you as you drove down into the area where were the damages been done yeah well it's about an 8 Hour Dr. from Destin so the storm is last Wednesday. On Friday, 60 days later, so driving down there you having the whole trip behind us. It was me and my son. He was up here at the times we go down together with only at the exit we would take out Sumter that takes you to Northport Northwest to exit Sumter is the northern one we passed Sumter.

It was closed because it was completely flooded. There was no way to get offer on today as they got to 75. From there, so it was, so it was still underwater. Yeah okay underwater and it was daylight.

Still, as we were driving so as were driving and we look to our right right you can the exit and it was just completely impassable. We decided to go you and of course the only option is to take the southern exit or Northport Toledo about 2 miles maybe a mile and 1/2 from that exit when traffic came to a screeching halt and nobody was laying in all lanes are full of traffic, nobody's heading north on the North 75 hotel their people start getting out of their cars walking around and rumor had it that something had broken something had given way so yeah okay I we going in both directions and people on the southbound lanes start making a U-turn driving north on the shoulders.

It was terrible. The cars in both directions. Everyone trying to turn around and I've actually had that experience on Tamiami years ago I used to live in Clearwater and we had restaurants on both coasts and so I used to have to go through alligator Alley and and and if there was a racket it was two lanes at that time. So if there was a rack on alligator Alley. There you were. You and now you and the alligators and eat you kindly tended to want to stay in your car just in case you didn't get 875 two lanes with ease to the Lansdowne area.

Please tell your story. I'm sorry I just I wanted you to understand that I know II understand what you're talking about. Yeah, she said even tractor-trailers were doing U-turn's big semi crazy so we turned around and we couldn't get to North, but there was no way in, so we decide let's head north and you do is you try to call the hotel and they're telling us know the closest you might be able to find B Tampa no way yeah that's about. That's a few hours north yes yes right right is used to tell us when you go down there and you really go across. You know you get stuck on the middle and then say well you know you go, but you know the only other way across up in Orlando the tribe all the way up to Orlando to go down the South Florida 95. Anyway, my son. Unfortunately he has a warehouse up there so we just we just stay there. Okay the next day and we were able to we were able to take that second exit Toledo Blade Sumter was still close but heading over to my cousins house they had barricaded parts of the main street that he was off the price so we drove to the barricade heater is American on the other side required looking for each other right which we don't see where you barricaded in several spots at seeds other okay so so now describe for me and my audience. If you could this what you see.

Because I'm thinking okay we just barricade, but your your talk. I mean damaged buildings, the flooded streets. Give me give me a sense of what of that what that visual looks like okay well as we approached we stop the coming power lines down everywhere you see parts of Bruce turnoff. You see the pool cage external turn away. Okay trees and using some large trees to when you see the roots okay. Broken windows are are there are there are that are the broken windows on the fronts of the buildings and things of that nature side Saturn glass okay okay shutters. Of course sometimes they put what some easy pieces of wood covering some people's windows to at this point nobody really had tarps or anything yet on the roots. So everything was still pretty fresh.

Okay okay so we parked as close he could and we we start walking towards where my ex-husband when he's walking towards us and he lives a little like a bridge or stream really almost like a creek. It's not a big body of water, but it goes underneath part of it had been washed out why barricaded yeah and the water was so high they had city workers there looking at it and assessing it and just part of the blacktop is completely washed away. People can walk over it right but allowing any cars.

It was dangerous for cars. No, I imagine they would just sink or or slide for who knows yeah and end up in the water right we see people as a Publix about 2 miles down the road so people are pushing shopping carts to and from away and towards the public, you empty ones are going back is going in only wise to get him right right bringing an empty cart back hate you mind if I borrow your card. We walked as far as we could and that was it. Not so where did you see was there much like any looting or any of that kind of stuff going on a war or or did it seem like people were just kinda more orderly. Just trying to you know survive orderly. I really don't know. At least in that area. I never went any looting in his neighborhood at all okay. His neighbors reported that either so you know I don't know that's a little bit overhyped. Yeah, I guess I just wondered I you know I mean you know II remember during the you know the Oakland the big Oakland earthquake in 89 right you know there were there were some areas were that was going on, but there were other areas where there is no American just came together and help one another.

You know, I mean they they all work together remember with Katrina was the same way you know you had some areas where you had some problems we had other areas where you know where people work together describe if you can what you saw are relative to the neighborhood. No topic is everything felt through biblical passes. Malay special guests Bob Gonzales and Beatrice Gonzales, brother and stir and Bob is a course, the author of this great fishing book of Flickr in the water.

You know Bob, I what I'll do is this. We will all I'll get you scheduled on to just talk about your book, as I know you had you on, we kinda mentioned the book but we haven't really gotten deep into the book because well and that the timing was such that we were kind of focused on this little hurricane thing that happened to Florida was a little thing called a little thing called Ian is so Beatrice, what were your your kinda describing you know exits blocked exits, where you know there used to be an offramp, and now there's a lake you know you know blocks traffic finally getting off sleeping in a warehouse getting down there. Not being able to reach your asked to bring them the inference that supplies because of all of the barricades and so on broken windows, broken shutters roofs torn off trees pulled out of the ground. That means that that that sounds like a scene out of a disaster movie to me it looks like writing on 75 to the highway, you would see that that water was up to the roof to the highway. Yeah, my goodness it did.

I remember we had a flood when I was living out in California in in Modesto and I remember standing actually on one of the bridges and CNN was showing they had a train trestle and and they had on the on the train car. Oh I forget what you call my goodness anyway. They were trying to pull the lumber out because it was going to literally knock the mornings out that were in a holding that that bridge up.

We were standing on one bridge looking at it. CNN was actually there filming it and I watched as the water rose up over the street sign while we were there now and and you know that at the point that it went over the street sign. AI said to my kids okay with the shows over get in the car and head out here just in case you know you know we had, you know that that wouldn't happen. This is the levees that are broken in Tracy and so we ended up with this big giant flood in Modesto. This was back in 1996, but I remember how surreal it seemed to me watching these events take place did you experience that same thing that it seems somewhat surreal well or have you been through the eye dysfunction understand you have a little background on this tells about the other major hurricane that you live through hurricane Andrew which came in as a five living in Miami at the time someone has never experienced something like that. I think it might be a little bit difficult to identify unit to understand what it is to go through these because my last so long.

It hour after hour after hour where you're sitting there and it the wind and just everything is so loud. To me it sounded like a train track right over your head on the roof of the house where we were in Miami for example, when Andrew came through your train and you feel the house rumbling shaking for hour after hour after hour.

So it's very nerve-racking I fight or flight related 12 hours nonstop. This is what your ex-husband experience because he was in that safe room with this thing going directly little pretty much directly over the top of him yes and he was in Northport he never got the eyes of the I usually get a little break, rethink, settle down, and then you get the other side of the storm come through.

I only stayed touched south of where he was never so it was him and he got two dogs. So with him in the two dogs in this little room.

It's a laundry room, and it's not that big and he literally sat there with the two dogs for all those hours.

It was about 12 hours altogether. You know he heard that the windows had broken in the house and he could hear train the house right right which that in and of itself.

You know you know your thinking okay something in a come through the wall. I mean you know and write something good to God you know could come through the wall and and you know 12 hours that mean you're trying to figure out bathroom situations you're trying to figure out you know maybe you know you mean you gotta maintain your senses. You gotta eat a little something drink a little something you gotta have some of those supplies going on there as well. So as you were looking at this situation then give me give me a sense if you could, as to what are they saying is going to be in the amount of time that it's going to take to you not to start running. Obviously, this way they can even start repairs right there. They're still trying to draw water out in an and remove debris.

Yeah, there's a lot of debris we the three days that I was there removing debris even on a double lot. He has his house in an additional lot vacant lot next to him so he had an awful lot of trees and just branches and we were there for three days.

He has cancel well in one big tree fell on the well and he was really wanting to get that one okay it's what's the well so he is trying to get that would stop in and remove so it wouldn't damage the well so we were able to do that okay so in those three days of taking out all those branches and all those dead trees and so on.

Still hold a lot more so hopefully in a little group of volunteers and helping with that right right right damage so they didn't talk the roof. It took about three days to have people cannot do that but they were able to finally do that which is nice. Yeah just texted you a picture best to Greg of the 2 x 4 through a palm tree, the wind like a speeder. My goodness, there's a yeah I also heard another story. This this person was telling me that you know the flexible shingles. He said it will read through a coconut. Holy smokes. You believe that yeah he also told me that it's not as hurricane Katrina.

He was down in Key West and it was at about that time and the hurricane went through the airplane hangars and a lot of the Cessna airplanes were flying in the sky upside down as they were swept up from you know I can't even imagine what it would be like to be out on a boat in the middle of something like you know like this. I mean, you know I showed you know some of the pictures of the docks and the boats you know you mentioned your boat being you know tossed up and and and sitting on a road future same. I'm curious, did you did you see how close to any Marina or anything like that is the area that you are in a little bit and ran in and things like that but it's a little bit in land so I didn't really see too much of that time around. So this time around. Right. So say that you didn't notice any boats that that that had that had made it up on the 75 no bugs being, you know, coconut Grove and is yeah upside down.

Yeah yet or what now, Ian came aboard as as a four right is that correct right borderline fine. I think it was maybe 2 miles an hour winds 2 miles an hour's I have of hitting a five okay okay which so I mean it's it's it's still it said that some monumental storm and inputting that into perspective.

Time in a minute but putting that in the perspective how would you describe that AAN in it. You know to to someone who's never experienced something like that. What what what what would be the best word description give that to both you Bob. Maybe you know you can use your your your your authorship. That idea, but, but, however however, but described to me how you would visualize that in in words you said it best when he said it's like a nuclear bomb had been dropped this and that's what it looks like afterwards the landscape is totally unrecognizable. You feel like you're in another world. Like you said, surreal. Yeah, it's like you're on a whole another world where you were previous to the start Beatrice. This is an area by the way some folks are said to this scenario, the you you and had lived in for number of years and when he is an area that you are very familiar with. So as you looked at it, going back into that area. What struck you initially about what we got about that 50 seconds left, but at what what really struck you.

I didn't realize how much water damage there would be here how much blockage in on the streets.

From this one that was that was kind of surprised, but I would say one word that comes to mind.

Really if you look through, it sounds a little extreme, but really it's terror because when you're sitting there like our terrifying pastor and he was with the two dogs and his Bible with the little flashlight, but it is terror when you don't know if the roof is indicated on you in any moment right right you you you you don't know if this is it right and and the difference. I was in a catastrophic car accident you in my situation I went out so you know my injuries were such that they took me out there that took me out of the equation, but in this situation you're fully aware of what's happening around you, but you don't know if any minute. You will be taken out right and that's yeah that's that's that's kind of a devastating situation. I thank you so much for sharing with us. I'm I'm I'm glad that said that he is that he is okay. Obviously you know the house and things of that nature. All that stuff can be replaced but but life life is a different story. And so were grateful for that.

Grateful for for your son that that he's okay as well, and that that he was safe and that you were safe as well. So well were were very grateful for that. Folks were anywhere take a break will be back our number three coming up and will continue to follow the story as well that this is far from over.
