We like to celebrate people of remarkable talent and accomplishment whenever we can. People who are aiming high in all the world of competitive sport where hard-pressed to think of anyone aiming higher than the Manley Cowan will be introducing us to.

You're not a fan of country is impossible not to be a fair amount Stutzman was risen to the highest rankings in the sport. Despite walking to very important for them to figure it out. So ironically, I googled how to teach alarmist land. 11. The athlete who calls himself on Sunday morning will take out this morning of the seemingly never fading popularity of Jeff Lynn's electric light Orchestra. You can count David Pogue among its fans. After 30 years away Jeff Lynn's electric light Orchestra is back. I went to the concert with my family and people were screaming and singing along and always those will the man behind yellow heads on Sunday morning. Years ago this coming Saturday at a rest in the college town of Oberlin, Ohio, trigger demonstrations, boycotts, and a lawsuit that asked what price is a family's reputation worth an issue.

Ted Koppel will explore charges or controversy lingers to it'd taken generations to build this reputation process and in just one day we we lost was served? What is a fair price for a family's reputation with Giles will be visiting best-selling author Mitch album unique family man was charitable work in Haiti has changed any number of lives, including his own. For the last 10 years Mitch album has been four days a month with his kids at the have faith Haiti mission and I didn't have kids and suddenly we have 47 kids, probably somewhere between zero and 47 is the average than normal desired size. But that's okay. I like him. 47.

Now he's written about one of those kids very special finding Chica later on Sunday morning or night and got the sender when art show truly like none other.

Even its name stands out meow Wolf with Morocco will launch a new season of obituary is Steve Hartman shares a very special love story and more coming up when our Sunday morning podcast continues, aiming high is the goal of any participant in a competitive sport but you had to reach further than the Manley Cowan has been watching in action you're looking one of the top-ranked mergers in the country 36-year-old Fairfield the last time you looked into it 1% of archers in the world make a living is not bragging, he's really just that good and yes the accolades to perfect. January 2010 is when I decided the best search of the world by 2011 D made the US team by 2012 what my first games in one and want to sell or write all with his feet yet one of the most celebrated archers in the world was born without arms. When I first started it was like that are not like there to fear the Paralympic games in London where one is silver metal but also able-bodied archers. But he's bested time and time again so that was like my first number one world number one in the world so just how does he do is basically this had to figure this all out manual no-no is only a notation is a strap around his chest which he uses to pull the bowstring back at this point, I'm adjusting my strap to make sure it's the same place.

That way when I draw the bow back up with my leg away from the chest bring my right shoulder up and I said it bring with a SunAmerica release that is so if I can take a bow without modified for me and I can compete against people have arms and beat them at their own sport all in what servant else's excuse mats pretty easy to spot tournament is usually the only one sitting down, he knows he's the center of attention, and believe it or not he actually likes it that way for me. I used to be like that all the time right from us archers are able-bodied and never had that experience. So when it's time to make it count and they get nervous when I don't get the nervousness, like they'd been in the situation my life is you can't tell already single father of three consider himself other time. Just wish you have arms.

No, not one you might find that surprising lunch with his feet was as ordinary as anything right for this is that dog any back of his house.

We watched them change high is prettier not to offer help. The fact was he really didn't need all the Unipart is a quality not as has been the Nissan with the drive with right now. My right foot is on will and my left runs the gap break. None of this is no completely like anybody exactly where he drives.

I have a motorcycle that I can legally ride unmodified motorcycle with my friend started right after Matt was born his birth parents learned something had gone based on what the doctors told them that was too much for them.

They were just overwhelmed.

There is overwhelmed so they put Matt up for he was just two months old and not long after that Jean and Leon spokesman entered his life remember the first time. His son Crilly had blonde head guy. He just sat up as to fill in the this raised them along with her seven other children just like any other kid when they're trying to see them doing something like riding a motorcycle or something in the window and say God protected. They gave my prosthetic limbs. At one point but this on the shelf. Most of the time so they decided not really modify anything was decided not to do this process is to live in the world to live in a world where people just adapt to those things and so that's where philosophy is figure out this way figured out what is meant got older. Despite his abilities and his willingness to try anything. There weren't many willing to give him a try and find a job that will give you a chance like I I even went to try to do a typing job because I was that desperate to try to figure out something soldier mindset of depressed. The amazing thing is nobody will give me a chance to prove myself. It was 2009, at the height of the financial crisis, but it also happened to be deer season and I thought of you just teach himself how to shoot a bow maybe you could at least bag a deer and feed his family went up about the cheapest I could find that your shot a near I am now excited about life again because I had just set a goal one out, putting food on the table little extra cash. He started entering target shooting competitions were one bookmaker actually asked to sponsor pretty exciting right it was until a friend of Matt's told him why and he goes, Matt. The reason why they sponsor you because you have no arms you draw attention to their product and it's not because you're good reality was that wasn't that good and I didn't want to be known as like sideshow or the guy who get stuff does the norms I want to be known as the best searcher in the world. That's right. And that's where it clicked for me like K to prove everybody wrong on the show them that I am the best that I deserve sponsorship because I'm the best, not because I'm unique or different. Aiming for spot at the 2020 Paralympic games in Tokyo is a gold Shirley nice that's always after I started our treatise to provide for my family right but now I've seen. It's much bigger, so some of the disability. Conduct me saying he saw me do this that now they can do that makes me feel good about myself really like the feeling is it's almost better than winning like what is the finding of the best searcher in the world the best archer in the world. Somebody changes the sport makes it better. Changes people that watch make them better in my mind that's considered the best searcher album is more than just a best-selling author is also quite a family man with 47 kids and one very special man right here is Nancy Giles on the first day of school at the have faith Haiti mission in Port-au-Prince, carried on your new school.

You new teachers and at the center of it all Mitch album Yep that Mitch album the guy who wrote Tuesdays with Maury and lots of other bestsellers straightening that talks in doing whatever needs doing year off to a good start. So 10 years ago when it first came to Haiti.

Did you plan to start with a funny. We sat down with Mitch and his wife Janine in late August. I didn't even know where he was on a map.

I was moved by what happened in the earthquake years that terrible devastated Haiti, killing over 100,000 people and leaving millions more injured and homeless, like so many others.

Mitch album wanted to help and we landed up just a few weeks after the earthquake saw people missing arms and legs walking around and covered in white dust and then here was this little oasis where there were these kids. Kids huddled in an orphanage. I saw a kid sleeping on the ground here or not they had parents makeshift foam mattresses not eating anything. He flew home to Detroit but I couldn't leave it alone. I can get out of my head. I mean there were no toilets really.

There was no shower. There was no real kitchen to speak of and and so I said while in Detroit you know we do things with our hands in Detroit and I put a call out 23 people answered the call little T-shirts. We built the first real toilets and showers, kitchen, dining area, I was here for the first shower I'll never forget that no one was ready to turn the water on it was like witnessing the Lord first rains.

They went nuts with the water singing and dancing, pushing off the wall. Now the children of the mission daily classes in English and French study what's your favorite part of school that they have regular medical checkups three healthy meals a day and a lot of dreams out of the doctor and a writer and when Jane Pauley visited with Mitch album five years ago in Detroit, spending days every month with his kids in Haiti. He still does a little girl named special. From the very beginning, mostly kids are shy and mellow in their eyes. Everything is.

She went and I laughed and she laughed and I said well I met my match when she was five. The director noticed something was wrong. I drooped, they found the one MRI scanner and all of Haiti and got this report the child has a mass on her brain.

We don't know what it is whatever it is there's nobody in Haiti who can help and that was basically our clarion call to say she have to come the mark and that changed everything. Everything Mitch and Janine took little Chica into their home and into their heart of the sun. It was Chica. She was there for two years. Together they battled the IPG a rare pediatric brain tumor, and they laughed and became a family and it was a glorious but she wasn't the perfect child that she was perfect for a journey Mitch album has written about in his new book, finding Chica families are like pieces of art you can make them almost anything any kind of material and sometimes they look like you and sometimes they don't. Something computer DNA, and sometimes they don't. And the only ingredient you need to make a family love unconditional Chica died in each seven but her story continues. The proceeds were Mitch album's book will build a new earthquake proof school for all their other children and I didn't have kids and suddenly we have 47 kids, probably somewhere between zero and 47 is the average than normal desired size. But that's okay.

I like him. 47. Mitch and Janine's two oldest kids, Manel and Sam are now sophomores at McDonagh University. No, it's in Detroit where Mitch can still give them pep talks as he did in Haiti single time he came always all about college and this push me in this, like, okay, okay, maybe I can do it really streams to become a doctor. I want to go back to seen kids going to screen just for this brakes. But, give me strength to go into do whatever I can hear Mitch change because of their relationship. Chica the relationship with the orphanage about this show to show us the at the close of every day.

Mitch album's kids remember Chica by singing her favorite song. All I she's taught a lot of what they need to do with their lives and how precious life taught me when I had to carry her from place to place towards the end of her life was sitting in coloring. I looked at my watch. I jumped up as a chick I got ago. She said no stain color as a chick I have to work this is my job, she crossed her arms away the choice and she said no it isn't your job is carrying me well of course. Of course this point jobless character and my jobs carry them through Barrymore all my goodness, I want to tell you about our new shout to his knees and each episode Nina weekly gastric and other quirky find inspiring and informative stories that exist on the because, well, maybe you do too. From the newest interior design trend Barbie car to the right and wrong way to wash her arm. Also getting the things that you just kind of well probably not able to do in daytime television. So watch out. Tristan is ever you get your podcast on the got no deeper love can be imagined than the one enjoyed all too briefly by one very devoted couple. Steve Hartman has their story. Thank you all for coming to this special occasion. Deep in New York's Adirondack Mountains friends and family gathered to help 59-year-old Christian room to forge pay tribute to her remarkable husband your marriage to Paul was one for the history books. What did you love about him, if anything, you keep one for me me in a pony. Chris and Paul met in 1988 and after dating five years.

They became one of the first companies in the world with down syndrome to get married. I propose to you proposed to him with my Christmas sister Susan. Sharon says it took a lot more than just to get them to.

I do the remarriage class counseling sessions and a whole lot of pushback from supposedly able minded people there really was quite a bit of resistance there was a feeling that it was like children getting married versus two very capable adult today with down syndrome want to get married still face resist there still some question as to whether couples like Chris and Paul love as deeply as the rest, and in fact we saw evidence that maybe they don't that maybe their love is deeper thanks to you and Paul.

Everyone here has seen what true love looks like at the end of the ceremony. Beautiful Chris spread a portion of her husband's ashes near the lake where he loved so much. The rest will be mixed with hers one and buried together as wife Annie. Husband could ever have. It was an intensely intimate moment shared with you to
