The Baptist Bible lowered no comes to you under the direction of Elder Lucero Bradley Junior will and Reggie Junior inviting you to stay tuned for another message of God's sovereign grace me being a free will look to thank all of you who have been faithful to support this ministry through this year.

We appreciate your help in your prayers and I would encourage all of you to remembers with a year-end donation at this time. Our trash is Baptist Bible power box 17/37, Cincinnati, OH 45217 share with you a letter from Alyssa or Mary in Virginia which indicates the kind of mail we received from people who been comforted by the messages that we just a note of thanks to Mr. Koecher Bradley Junior your messages on 91.5 FM radio made to make it through a difficult time during January, February and March 2021 I was staying with my mother at night sometimes she would be up all night long. My sister would care for her during the day sometime, so physically and emotionally drained that I didn't know if I could keep going every night during the drive back.

I would listen to your message on the radio.

It was always the right message for whatever I was going through.

I'm so thankful that God used you to help me through this difficult time. Thank you for your ministry that allowed me to continue on and be a loving and caring daughter during a very difficult time.

Thanks and God bless. So grateful that the Lord has used the messages would brought during this time to be a blessing committee has we come to the end of 2021 we look back, remembering it has been a difficult people all over the world have died from covert. Most of us have had friends or family members died and others who suffered with the deadly virus concerns about the future of our country rapidly rising inflation and rising crime rate have caused many to figure fires in California and tornadoes in West Kentucky brought much sorrow in troubled times. It is important to remember, we are not alone. Lord is our helper and comfort, so I want to use a message today that we had on the air a few years ago, but I feel it is needed at this time.

Never alone. I suppose that all of us at some time along the journey of life have felt a sense of loneliness, the right even the bit in the presence of people who are our friends. But for a variety of reasons. We just felt somewhat isolated, that maybe he really understands our personal struggles we just lack the ability to confide in somebody that could be a real help in a time of need may have turned to others in the past, only to be disappointed. And then sometimes that loneliness can be felt for the person lives on the district trip by the young man in the military sent to another part of the world many miles separate him from family, who many ways in which we may experience loneliness, but we want to look at a portion of Scripture this morning that gives us great consolation in any time that we might feel alone.

Hebrews chapter 13 began with verse five. Let your conversation be without covetousness and be content with such things as you have, for he have said I will never leave me nor forsake the so that we may boldly say the Lord is my helper and I will not fear what man should do to me.

I will never leave the nor forsake the never alone. Writers pulling from the Old Testament several places. In fact, in the Old Testament where the statement is found in Genesis chapter 28 verse 15 these words being addressed to Jacob after he had wrestled with the Lord during that night, season, and behold I am with the I will keep the in all places whither thou goest and will bring big again into this plan for I will not leave the until have I have done that which I have spoken to the dock and leave you going to accomplish all that I have promised on your behalf. So there may be times that question would be raised has gone forgotten apricots is no I will not leave I'm going to fulfill every promise that I have made them look at the book of Deuteronomy chapter 31 verse six. These words given to encourage Jocelyn as he is going into the land of promise, be strong and of a good courage, fear not not be afraid of them for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with the he will not fail leave nor forsake the so you can be of good courage. You need not fear this is something where part of the disk using mental exercise to lose their courage and feel better.

These are genuine promises that are given by God the sovereign ruler of heaven and earth. He will not fail me was on the same the eighth verse of the Lord. Here it is that doth go before the he will be with me, he will not fail.

They need the forsake me, fear not, neither be dismayed by some of these are promises that of the Old Testament. This belong to people of another era. Remember the rock of the book of Hebrews is quoting from the Old Testament, making it valid for us to claim those promises yesterday were given to people long ago, but their hours there for us all. The Scripture may not be to us, but it's for us it's for our benefit.

Now they just promises that the Lord will not forsake us. He will go before she will lead the way, doesn't mean that we going to be exempt from trouble, but it does assure us that we will never be alone than when the troubles come were not by herself. We have the Lord himself with us to sustain us to hold us up to comfort us to give us the strength that we so desperately need. So as we look at this portion in Hebrews chapter 13. Therefore, things I want us to consider. First of all confidence.

Secondly, comfort.

Thirdly, courage, and fourthly, contentment, confidence we can have confidence in the promises of God, and that's in contrast, the promises that are made by human beings who often falter and fail to some I say to you how always be there for you. I want you to know I'm your friend I'm with you always be there and then at the time you need them, they worked they could be found if they could be found. They made it clear they could not or would not be friendships can seem that a friend that understands and always seems to have the right thing to say in their source of encouragement mean so much to have a close friend, but in Psalm 41 verse nine we read of a friend was unfaithful, gave mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

How sad when a trusted friend seeks to do you harm certain we can see the fulfillment of this text in the case of Jesus being the dance by Judas, who'd been one of his followers. From all appearances, he was as much a true disciples and the others, but inwardly there obviously was a great problem. Love Jesus.

He thought about himself. He was interested in money.

He was interested in advancing himself in any way that he could so he betrayed Jesus. The trail by friend is a heartbreaking experience.

The apostle Paul said Dimas had forsaken me, having loved this present thing of the privilege. This man had of laboring with working side-by-side with the apostle Paul, but he turns away that goes to the world but why we cannot have absolute confidence in the promises made by human beings.

Knowing that they are often open, you can have total confidence in the promise when looking at here. God himself says you'll never be alone.

I will never leave you.

I will never forsake you that have confidence in the cause of the one who's making the promise Titus chapter 1 verse two says, in the hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot live, promised before the world began because God is holy, it is impossible for him to live is holy in all of the stalls on those actions. All of his works as a dark side to God. So when God says something you can absolutely count is as good as done.

God cannot lie. Then in Hebrews chapter 6 we see emphasis upon this fact that we can totally rely on the promises of God. Hebrews chapter 6 verse 13. For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater if you swear by himself. Verse 17. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise, the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before him. So when the covenant was to be confirmed. God could swear by no greater joy swore by himself, our God is immutable. Therefore, we have absolute confidence in what he promises and further in that 13th chapter of the book of Hebrews verse eight it says Jesus Christ the same yesterday today and forever. Is that good to know that whatever you find in your fellowship with him today and will be the same tomorrow. He has an chain that we change. We have our ups and downs in our backsliding's and all of those things that are so evident in our feeble wall here. We change, we change physically we change spiritually, but he doesn't change these the same the same yesterday today and forever, for the we can have confidence in his promise, because not only has he made the promise he has demonstrated that he will remember that he will fulfill it. Old Testament is just with one story after another and acting to start on account of what God did to support and defend his people he was with them and going into battle.

He was with them in providing for them in the most desperate of circumstances.

That was the case in the wilderness where he rained down from heaven brought water out of a rock. Bless them in the most unique ways. Here is Gideon going out to meet the enemy and he has 32,000 and his army probably thought about that and God says there's a problem. You've got to be and if you win the battle of the men themselves and say, look what we did we really put the animate of life.

They want to brag on themselves, and God says I'm not going to bless you under those circumstances, I said, but everybody that's afraid to go home and 22,000 men packed up and went so there was a significant reduction in the size of the Army that he gives another test.

By the way, they would break water to indicate whether there commitment was truly the battle whether they were thinking of their own self interest.

Now the number is down to 300 from the human vantage point. Things do not look nearly so favorable as they had in the beginning.

I'm sure it same if I was going to be in charge of an army going out the battle and feel a lot better with 32,000 and I would 300, but what made the difference was that God says I'm going to be with you.

I'm going to bless you to win the three of those 300 were divided into three camps of 100 each. The Lord that say that the find the best weapons among you find the longest shot swords to go places no, I want you to take the light covered over with a picture so it can't be seen at first and pick a topic so you can blow it to the given signal at least three bands surround the enemy and at the given signal blasts the trumpet they break picture and they shined the light and knows that there were as sleep in their tents come out and see light surrounding them together sword start one another and getting an enzyme. He just wants it might when God works his way always.

Sometimes look at our feeble resources and say well, even 300 and be all right.

We look at ourselves and we say how can I move forward. How can I overcome conflicts in my own life.

The challenges that face but here is clear evidence that this God who says I will not forsake you, and then there to defend and bless his people. In years gone by. Think of David when he was going out to face Goliath's authority on put on his armor, David Sinnott had no experience with that. But I have had experience with God blessed me as I was caring for my father's sheep and one day I killed the line in the know they have barren soap not to give this listing into my hands in first Samuel 1745. He says I come to the in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom Beth testified so we come.

Knowing the battle is the Lord's coming in the name of the Lord most high God blessed him so that Wendy directed that sling toward the giant thing rock hit him square in the forehead and knocking down the government vision battle unfolding like this. I believe that some of those Israelite soldiers that watch this young lad going out there cringe to think this is a little bit mass we really hate the watch is he going to be slaughtered by this giant but God gave him the victory. Now why these things recorded in Scripture that there for our benefit there there to remind us that when we read in Hebrews that the Lord will not forsake us.

We have clear evidence that's been the case through the years God had not forsake his people. The second thing that we think about is comfort.

There are more people living alone in America today than ever before. That number has increased significantly and so it has raised health and safety concerns for local governments. A lot of research is being done about how to help people who live alone and suffer depression that is me that ever I was living alone is depressed publishing.

There are some that are happy with that situation. There are Christians who find their hope and trust in the Lord from day-to-day, but there are those who experiencing a deep sense of loneliness. The other trend of loneliness is often expressed in Scripture. So if you sometimes feel alone. You're not blazing a new trail you're traveling empathic Christians before you have traveled, but they found hope even in those dark times. Psalm 102, verse six. David says I'm like a pelican of the wilderness. I like how the desert language certainly depicts loneliness. I am, I watch and him as a sparrow alone upon the house. I don't think the picture could be any more graphic than to speak of loneliness little sparrow the top of the house subject to wind and rain and cold alone. David says that's the way I feel. I feel to be alone. Psalm 38 verse 21. Forsake me not all Lord oh my God be not far from me. Thomas expresses concern, Lord, do not forsake me. I feel empty without the I feel alone I feel deserted. I need thy help. Psalm 142 verse four says I looked on my right hand and held and there was no man that would know me refuge fail me no man cared for my soul. Whether ringing seniors here describe looked all around trying to find somebody trying to find a friend to try to find some support, but refuge fail. I was in support of Medicare's no man cared for my soul. I'm in a terrible, dark, desolate situation. Is there a remedy for it coming to understand that loneliness can be dealt with because of a relationship with Jesus Christ in the Psalms.

As I cried under the old Lord has had now part-time refuge had not portion in the land of the living. So if it reaches a place that it's not just what I have a magic but it's a fact. No man cared for my soul. I have to say I still have a hiding place.

I still have a friend I still have a refuge thou art my refuge, thou art my portion vote. If I have the no reason to feel lonely, had no reason to make a complaint had no reason to want cash that I reason every reason to rejoice, rejoice in the Lord. Fear often moves a person feeling a great need for for comfort, their fears of financial loss some labor, some sense of anxiety about that on an ongoing basis yet to find your comfort not in the material things of this world, but in Jesus Christ himself. Then failing health could cause a person to certainly need the comfort that only God can give the uncertainty of it to dread some of the things it must be encountered. The concern that I don't want to be a burden to somebody else feeling a sense of loneliness, the fear of old age. Psalm 71 verse 18 now.

Also, when I am old and gray-headed old godforsaken me not often, as people get older.

So many of their friends of already going on and they find that they be just don't pay that much attention to applicable person who is living alone saline I just would have much company.

Nobody comes to see me. I've heard grandparents make complaint so well. The time it seemed like my grandchildren enjoyed coming to see me now their own so busy with many things that think they care that much about, but certainly some disadvantages to old age.

There's a slowdown. Things don't function just as they once.

Here's the hope that even in declining years are declining health, as the case may be, Lord, do not forsake me, and God has given the promise he will not forsake us, never, never alone.

So the promise of our text should certainly destroy any kind of fear because God says I'm going to be with you heart will not forsake us when our situation is such that we are in a low state. Maybe financial losses that occur, but even if you lost much of what you had to nurse goods is going to California, even in lowly circumstances. Jesus said in the sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapter 6 verse 25 therefore I say and do you take no thought for your life, what you should eat or what you shall drink, or yet for your body, what you shall put all notices take no-fault policy doesn't mean that you become careless and ignore responsibility and safe. I would've quit work and expect God to feed me not always as the man that works worse than an infidel buddy saying that you don't have to worry about a technophobe from the standpoint that you're not worrying about why because he says is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment the whole. The founders of the air, for they sow not need to do they reap, nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly father feet of them. Are ye not much better. They is context care of the birds takes care that week.

They don't barns but depletes them people to take care of you. So he's telling us we must not worry that people try to defend worry about people I would say to me, well just always been a worrier and the point is, I plan to continue to be a worrier. That's me, that's what I do worry but when you're worrying that major not trusting when you're worrying your doubting the promise of God when you're worrying you're not committing your way into his hands and saying what ever he leads and directs his good with me because I trust him. Promise. Then not to leave us in our trials.

I see I may see all the messages been a blessing to you today.

What are difficulty and trial may be no we are not alone can't promise not to leave us nor forsake us, gives us hope, courage and strength, hope that you will like this this week next week to same time with the Lord richly bless you and Amy on the Baptist Bible hour is come to you under the direction of Elder Lucero Bradley Junior address all mailed to the Baptist Bible hour Cincinnati, OH 45217.
