One of the newest members of good morning football. The Emmy award-winning morning show on NFL network. Jamie you are an incredible faker. It looks like you're having a total blast on your new show so seriously how much fun are you having with good morning football now three hours a day, so no I really can't believe my luck and the trajectory of my career have gone in it. I have found myself in the chair and there are so many reasons why and whenever you II only what ever that I didn't like what I was doing.

Yes, I think everything I did for eight years and led me in being able to do the job on an incredibly creative on the job and it very lightly because I don't want to follow the NFL every day and it just snowballed and it know your ideas off each other and it just conversation with three friends and everybody else is happened to be listening to the sound. We know the power of the NFL were you blown away by the reaction though because when the announcer was made up just seem like it was the biggest story going that day. I am really glad why some people are legitimately like oh okay for myself and a prominent role yoke football P word and then it would look like a reminder like in the NFL on crawling all over the foul so there's so much crossover there competent, the ability to print out like a think creatively and you will personally so much of it had to do with no home. I have two kids under three-year-old, a one-year-old and my three-year-old who understand the meaning now that I like to keep away no don't like that pining like that and then for date and it was incredible that the career and for higher infighting care. Later admire about him in the last 72 is the fact that really hard for him to wait and watch training camp unfold watch the game start. Look, you look like I am so happy to not be faker either.

I think having a burst appendix the beginning of the event a couple days back in action.

The fence at the Joe Burrell moment before appendix was angry at him that occurred about a year and I like your pup showed a man wow players are difficult to toss that part. We know Jamie dollars. The new host of medical networks, Emmy award-winning show good morning football airs Monday through Friday 7 AM Eastern time. It's after hours here on CBS sports radio.

I read a quote in which you said, I think five or eight years ago I would've thought I could do this job but I bet I wouldn't have been as good at it as I probably will be today before you started to the athletic when you think about that you what were you referring to, why is this the time where you were ready to step into this role while euro one.

Three.

You owe it and sell it on any point in my career I probably could have given me to a March madness tournament on hindsight that you realize that while it no great work ethic believe that you can do a lot of stuff ready for it and whether or not you can execute the job very differently. I think that being able to go to and you'll find you know not been around, even for four football years ago I had not watched you know that essentially up-and-coming birth of Joe Burrell and all heat at all that he had become on five years ago I had not work for more and life and work on the job.

I learned so much football high level high-quality football gear and in particular Alabama that I wouldn't come to me when the show started to hear the person and I feel so incredibly grateful for all that experience because it helped me help when it… Undrafted guy on this day and I just know when and how all that you find knowledge to help you be better and you just can't think experience you can't in any job in any court, athlete, nothing you can't get and felt that's what I meant.

I guess I said that you know I'm sure I can read from 35 years ago. But I didn't know what I know now and on. I feel like the right time to be able to do this so it's funny because when I talked Alabama product so guys who went to Alabama but are now in the NFL will tell me very explicitly that the training at Alabama was actually tougher. They felt like the rigors and the pressure Alabama were actually more than what they feel in the NFL to talk about the training your cutter right in the middle of that the SEC because it is the highest level of college football and the microscope and the pressure certainly does prepare you. In addition to what you see and what you learn approximating right now you turn you come prepared in any way year and whether you run your running in the hallway meeting or at halftime and fell.

I love listening to talk about football. No are great but what built their methodology that he is crafted to create this program.

I find so incredible and eating how he goes about it and you know you and or translate the guys I mean like they're everywhere. There are only I think there is one example, the professional football player that you really don't hear much about like oh he's not the first time, the building or he's not longer at like they were already doing that for 3 to 5 years.

That's not hard at dollars with us from medical networks good morning football it's after hours here on CBS sports radio.

As you can to change and take this corner in your career what's been the biggest challenge for you probably Frank, I really order and traveling on South to a certain lifestyle of when you got to know the material so well. I have to be on the fever for years is like nothing I could do the job in my down to a science. I pocketed guy now and and I know my work a bulk of my work was accomplished on the road with little to no that really lend itself to a nice way to go about my life but the apartment was. I was on the road so it comes along and you are shallow with the like.

Our show is set up the night before Glover in the morning and we go on here and questioned about like which he went to I think you know is to be a Cinderella story and it's like bedtime.

I have to learn a new year and it is not a bad like this is a different lifestyle and I'm still getting used to it, but I think first and foremost I just love the daily daily aspect of working game that you have a four hour shot on Saturday afternoon to get your stuff on the air and sometimes the game go the way that is not length of the lend itself toward all the work you've done toward stories good but sometimes it can be frustrating but 15 hours of football that you have the time to get all your stuff out there things that I love about having a daily show. Yes, there's a lot that goes into it is very intense but when you have one that you're not particularly proud of. Almost like an athlete, you have to flush it. You have to get rid of it because there is one the next day.

You also know that okay I get to go back tomorrow and do it again and do it better. So I understand we are talking about the daily grind you good to continue to practice what you love one shell so on. Okay about like everything you put out there really great show shall pick me up by know the ones that would like what I'm feeling is that I didn't realize I will not Monday, Wednesday and training my brain out of know how to give myself feedback how to write, you know what I your hundred miles an hour when you're on the road and that when you're home at 1515 and 45 right now and it is a different challenge in and of itself is turn this role into one that people may appoint a television personality, her knowledge, what did you hear from her. As you cut it took over in this role, yet incredibly purported to me personally and answering questions about the people that are on the show both on notebook died but also the people behind how much production support. You are given an creative freedom that you're getting an wonderful and I think it I think it an honor or to be in care for them and goes off and gets her own show on and on a new channel. I think like you sent her knowledge and willingness to be herself on it (further incredible and I'm not trying to and I don't think she ever told me like you acquired the networking of her mouth. Never was even it was just like I remember your man for this job. So what you're supposed to be doing and II thought I thought that was so incredibly flattering to consider like people don't have to do things her thinking you have to say that the phone but he did and I appreciate that much about her for people who were used to her style and to get used to my file and I don't think either one is right or wrong. And that's the thing about this show. It is Larry thinking about football help beyond the on the field and I think people like people like that together you with five years with a perfect and you know it would take minimally you are beloved already a rotating chair there for a while with you would like to think the turnaround I think you gorgeous are like you're not happening everyone to go through growing pains. Both myself and the viewer is after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio GB a couple moments from the show that I already have to ask you about.

They've made me laugh out loud. One of them out of the streets of New York City, a segment that you called stop the clock where football being thrown directly at you a good past mind you around and ran from it. Were you never going to catch the ball. Were you trying to get the ball. What going on there.

Okay no child when I get out there.

You are able to keep their maturity. In fact, Kyle and I think that Proctor be damned likely to want to play football and snow. Not alcohol and go out for a Pat and I will say I love thrown the ball around.

I'm pretty good about what I looked up and dine with like paintings straight all I can think all I think would like to get a black eye on like and what would have been incredible PD for like 15 second, it would not like 15 days so I feel I bailed out like Top Gun Maverick is not good, far away that I possibly could and you know what I think about the effect of earth on television. I would make all know I don't you like people to write out this blew up not just your twitter but other twitter really supercool you guys got to be part of a category on Jeopardy. How does that come together well. All Michael been through a lot over the last couple years recently to become the executive printer on Jeopardy Delta connection therebetween. Essentially, our godfather television Michael Dean even felt they knew they were you in NFL segment and a dream to clue you in hindsight it that with her birthday. We got there like 20 years. I'll read your Jeopardy clouds like God and so were the first world with with the growth that we eye witness that might not care on that tiny Jeopardy clue was so cool to me feels like one of those crossover moments that okay myself. I made it maybe a step further than I was before my family, my mother a lot like my mom would love that you know you don't realize how far it reaches your doing. Yes, my grandmother watched it every single night Jeopardy was her jam. Also, I have to tell you people asked me all the time what my favorite friends episode is and I respond with my absolute one. I hope one of the naked man in the crop or I think my favorite food eating contest (the out category like me. I hate to do it for you, but you probably a friend that's a mix of funds that were not one-dimensional. We don't all work in sports. That's not the only do we do we know all focus on Apple all the time. So that's great, but will do little football just wrap up James what are couple of things that jump out at you is we actually are now kicking off weeks to wow really, really quite the pride involved in general I know I would've thought like a storyline perspective on all of that verbal form can work in alignment. On and on. Attleboro was running for his life and so I was a really fluky effect from day for them. I then bounced back, I will all seem to do that and I never I will never doubt Mike Tomlin whatsoever. Go and I think I'm looking forward to seeing three land not in a monsoon yell for as much as we talked about him and I am glad that there haven't been up for about 49 are losing again in Chicago because everyone understands that that was a total anomaly of R in an environment and challenging all around their week one.

When just make sure we give three land deal and on and finally just to fill my gut next break lived up to the billing unintended all the locks them unfold to see that I can't figure out what else they could possibly deal but it was just absolutely electric.

It definitely was not just week number one.

Nothing says the public uproar that is a great word.

Everything turns into a massive uproar so you can all are you getting is that you be back know it's perfect. Jamie earned all ERD AHL and she is part of good morning football Monday through Friday 7 o'clock Eastern time. I now host with the three other just incredible characters for this Emmy award-winning so it's okay to catch up with you. James thanks much for a couple of minutes and again congratulations
