Pastor author and Bible teacher Alan Wright Solomon's Temple all arrived in Jerusalem is sacked and then destroyed that holy temple are stolen away some treasure trove of Nebuchadnezzar, never to be seen. People who had lost everything and know which way to turn people who would go about saying to one another. We could just haven't been Temple although if we could just go back home if we just had the ark of the covenant again that's faster.

G or call 877-5448 60 really be more on all this later in the program but right now let's dig in and get started with today's teaching here is Alan Wright. Psalm 139 will tell you where can I go to flee from his presence. If I were to rise on the wings of the dawn, and travel to the uttermost parts of the sea. Still, you are with me. If I were to make my bed and she all thou art there is understood can't everywhere but they also understand what makes sense to us that there is a way that you can know that God is with you because of his promise to be with you and because of his nature, and because of all that is imparted to you, but there's something that is very different about being with him in a way that is palpable. That is manifest. So, my sweet mother who's going to heaven this week and is a real sense in which shall always be with me in a real sense right because when people love you the way she's let me people have done for you what she's done for me and blessed me like she's blessed me that doesn't go away. MM God's sweet irony. We we buried her on the day that I was born and you know that's beautiful because she she she gave me life.

That's what my daughter Abby calls her mother show writer life giver, how you doing today good to pause and remember you're not here except for somebody else gave you that life and so for me to be able to stand Margrave on the day that I remember that she taught me in this world and I celebrate her going to the next. You can't say that in that sense she's ever gone for me because she not only brought me in the world and again you life, but she's the one that led me to new life through her all three of the boys we all came to Christ because our I don't know why does so in a very real sense you could say she's always with me and she will pick but in another sense, by God's grace and I were able to be there when she taken a sudden turn for the worse and get there in time. Early Tuesday so that we could be holding her hand very sweet not been very good to me in that way, very good to me have asked him for that. I asked him for that and she was like a beautiful light on a dimmer switch that just slowly just softly and there's a moment you know if you've ever been in that holy moment before there's a moment where someone is with you on this earth and then in a breath they're not. Oh she's forever with me but in terms of her. Me holding her hand she holding my and knowing her heart beat and feeling her breasts that ended because there also is a thing that we know and this is why we grieve her palpable presence, her manifest presence her presence that I can touch that I can feel that I can experience that loss is what I'm grieving this week and what the people of God knew about the ark of the covenant was at their priest, their high priest on Yom Kippur was going behind that veil, and in those those moments that he was back there. On behalf of all of them that he wasn't experiencing the theoretical presence of the Lord. It wasn't experiencing God in the way that we all experience him because his Majesty is in the heavens and his principles of truth, abide with us. It was not theoretical.

It was it was personal. It was intimate.

It was manifest. It was close. It was experiential was the very breathing, heart beating presence of the living Yahweh they had in the between those cherubim wings in the shadow of their glorious outstretched opinions in the mist of incense. God spoke in whispers and shouts and he met with man ark is about the purity of God like no other. The is about the presence of God and what they also knew about the ark and why they treasured it so that represented the piece of God with people the peace of God, what has happened in the ark of the covenant is astonishing in itself that God who is supreme in every place at all times either immense and infinite would come and meet in a confined space as Paul had said in Philippians 2 of Christ himself, though he was in the form of God did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on the cross. What I'm saying is it what God did every Yom Kippur taking his great immensity and humbling himself to meet with man in time and space foreshadows our Savior, such as the love of God who did not want to remain distant from his people, though they were idolatrous.

Remember the context we spoke. God says my heart feels like a husband whose wife has been unfaithful night after that the heart of God says, and yet not going to stay angry and I'm going to forgive you and I want to be near to you.

So I'm making it possible. So what would happen on Yom Kippur is the priest would come and he would minister the forgiving atoning work of God by on behalf of the people receiving it as he sprinkled blood on that mercy seat because that's what has happened.

We talk about peace all the time as if it is like the absence of conflict or no peace is much deeper than talent right will have more teaching moment from today's important series. Many Christians in America today.

You're starting a nation's culture has turned away from God values in our country have changed.

Suddenly, most people don't go to church or had a difficult one to make you feel like an alien in your own culture. There's a lot to learn from Danielle when he was exiled to the pagan man. Through our special office not you can learn to live under the favor of God in Aryan culture the way Daniel did you give before the end in mind. The senior Pastor Alan's idea series, Daniel favored for you may feel like a stranger in this world that is God should favor to Daniel and his four man God's grace is upon you as well. Nation will not only help you through these troubling times. It will also help someone else links for your partnership with our night ministry.

We missed us at 877-544-4860 877-544-4861 come to our website pastor.org today's teaching now. Can you once again is peace is actually the reconciliation that is only possible when there is authentic forgiveness. As is true in any relationship is that not any married person can tell you this, if one has offended the other, as I've done it more than I like to have, and you find yourself in that proverbial doghouse and you find yourself experiencing that cold sheet of ice.

This between the two of you and know I'm talking about well yell all St. John never experienced but I have and and you wonder how we can have peace. Well, you know the temptation and what would try to do is what can I do to make it up to you and I'm not saying you should try to make it up sometimes write maximum if you need to, but let's just be honest there's no peace in the relationship to the offended party forgets and only in that healing is there peace is what this is what the priest in Leviticus chapter 16 verse 14 he shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the front of the mercy seat on the east side in the front of the mercy seat shall sprinkle some. The blood with his finger seven times remember from our study of Revelation 7 is the perfect number of completion and then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering that is for the people and bring his blood inside taken NSF animal slayers who didn't deserve to die and bring that blood you see in as he did with the blood of the bowl sprinkling it over the mercy seat in front of the mercy seat. Thus, he shall make atonement for the holy place because of the uncleanliness is of the people of Israel and because of their transgressions.

All the sends so he should do for the tent of the meeting was strolls with them in the midst of their uncleanliness so they live with our because it was the purity of God and reminded them that they were set apart under God and they love art because it was the meeting place of God and man, the very presence of God. But I love that art because it was the place where God enabled peace with his people. Forgiveness of their sentence atonement, at least for another year of their sentence are covered in God would not abandon peace possible only at that park because they loved and then it should be mentioned finally that everyone knew that this ark represented the power and glory of God. The people understood that because the ark was the presence of God that the purity of the most high God that it had a great impact but not not that it was itself in any way magical.

Not that it was in itself is a piece of furniture, something that had its own inherent mystical power, but associated with it was the very power of God. So we rated numbers 1035 whenever the ark set out, Moses said, arise, O Lord, let your enemies be scattered with those who hate you flee before you and care that are with. They cared it when they stepped into the Jordan River and they put their foot in and then the waters parted as they had the ark and they care that Oregon is polls around Jericho's thick walls for seven days in a row and on the seventh day they walked around seven times care in the ark all the soldiers of Jericho were looking down at this strange golden chest with a golden cherubim only shouted the walls came down. There was a reputation developed about the ark of the covenant, the enemies of God seared because God allowed his power to be manifest at the heart the purity of God in the presence of God and the peace of God and the power of God were all symbolize in this holy artifact, the ark of the covenant and they loved that park and that's why it's so astounding that Jeremiah would say what he said maybe remember when David became king more than anything what he wanted was get that art back. Second Samuel 612 bits told King David Lord blessed the household of over the them all the blogs them because ark of God. So some guy name Obed Edom had been keeping the ark of the covenant's house and he's getting rich and saying healthy living long and David finally after all the years of persecution running for his life.

He finally is coming into Jerusalem to take this loan and first thing he wants to do is bring in our so David went and brought up the ark of God from the house OBM. The city of David with rejoicing.

It said 30,000 people to go get it said 30,000 soldiers to bring an end. And when they use those who bore the ark of the Lord.

All six that the ark a sacrifice, and oxen of fat and animal and David danced before the Lord with all his might.

So every six steps they'd stop and have another worship service is there, bring in art back into Jerusalem and they brought verse 15 by all the house of Israel brought up the article was shouting and with the sound of the Lord.

David was a shepherd after God's own heart. They wanted God's purity presence and power, and peace. That's how important ark of the covenant was Jeremiah was saying to the people who were who were under the bus home of Babylon was saying to people who were mourning the loss of everything that they knew dear people who would be exiled. People who would experience the ultimate tragedy in their minds that the Temple temple.

The meeting place of God and man would be destroying Solomon's temple overrun is Jerusalem is sacked and they destroy that holy temple are stolen away to some treasure trove of Nebuchadnezzar, never to be seen again. People who had lost everything. You didn't know which way to turn these people would go about saying to one another.

If we could just have the temple. Oh if we could just go back home. We just had the ark of the covenant again and the Lord give Jeremiah this word speak to the people. The time is coming, in which you won't even mention it. The time is coming, in which people will speak of it no more, and it will not be remade. You see how shocking it is. Do not despair is saying the secret is not in the ark.

Something better is coming. There's a time in which nobody will be saying oh if we could staff. I like to think of Pentecost day when the believers were gathered in Jerusalem and suddenly, like a mighty roaring wind, the Holy Spirit began rushing upon every believer and they were dancing than falling, laughing and trembling under tongues of fire and the young and the old began to prophesy in the power of the Holy Spirit and people were speaking out. The good news in languages that they did not know and they were so they were so full of the Holy Spirit that others that were watching thought they were drunk they were there were hardly able to stand up under the glorious presence of God, and I think of what all they might've been saying on that day. I think that you do what drunk people do you hug people you laugh with people you say could you even believe this is happening and you say, oh, isn't this good always at the presence of God, good. Isn't this wonderful Jesus is here, just like he promised. All we are experiencing the power the Holy Spirit what God's going to do from this time Ford is just amazing all look at that person.

They were just healed both look over there. John's prophesy. I never imagine that they look at this that person who's been alive and now suddenly thought they would be saying all kinds of things on Pentecost day limit say one thing they weren't saying nobody was saying if only we had that are why because the purity presence and peace, and power of God had come not just for a high priest behind the veil every single person so that's why say Jesus is the true raider of the lost Ark because he came with only the ark anymore. He is more ark than the ark could ever be.

He is your purity you become his righteousness is your peace. There is one mediator between God and man, Jesus Christ, who is made our peace, we have peace in him peace that passes all understanding, forgiveness with God is the very presence of God the Word became flesh and his spirit dwells within you. He is the power the very spirit of Jesus but do a mess of God. Resurrection power of God is with you. So that's why other than a movie about the ark anymore and that's the gospel, Helen Wright, today's good news message Raiders of the lost and are bringing it from our series remade and stick with his best relatives back here in the studio shearing aborting good news thought for the day for you in just a moment.

Many Christians in America today. Your standby have a nation's culture has turned away from God values in our country have changed. Suddenly, most people don't go to church or had a difficult one to make you feel like an alien in your own culture.

There's a lot to learn from Danielle when he was exiled to the pay command through our special effort is not.

You can learn to live under the favor of God in Aryan culture the way Daniel did you give before the end in mind senior Pastor Alan's idea series, Daniel favored for you may feel like a stranger in this world that is God shared favor to Daniel and his four man race is a timeless plan ordination will not only help you navigate through these troubling times. It will also help someone else links for your partnership with our night ministry team as I don't call us at 877-544-4860 877-544-4861 come to our website pastor.org usury Pastor Alan's sporting good news thought for the day in the overwhelmingly good news that he is with us wherever we are. But can you imagine if we still had to do with the ark today with all of our technology advances. Yeah, we probably mess that up so we would probably we probably would end and there they would be fights over the ark still in there would be and so the old testament is full of what the New Testament call shadows and tightness.

What was God doing God was in the landscape of real history.

He was progressively revealing his redemptive plan, progressively revealing himself so we learned a lot from that ark that symbolize the peace and the power and the presence of God. We don't talk about that ark anymore other than Indiana Jones and we don't talk about that ark because the new has come in every single believer that everyone every listener understand my voice right now you have something better than the arctica you have the very power and presence of God in you the indwelling presence of Christ himself so that makes G Jesus really ultimately your rater of the lost Ark.
