Helen Wright, pastor, Bible teacher and author of his latest book, the power to bless when we must feel like giving is all said the moment we most need the grace to not give up because you usually right at that moment. I think the spiritual is right at the moment we feel like giving your probably right on the edge of an all breaking through excited for you to hear the teaching today. In the series 2nd wind is presented with an old church in North Carolina not able to throughout the entire program to make sure you know how to get our special resource right now. More on that later in the program but now let's get started with today's teaching here is my tired and you might feel like you can't run another lab that allow that if you hold all if you wait and hope a little longer you find your second wind.

Second, land fill in the Lord has given me. Just you know one word is the seed for a new sermon series just like been seeking for weeks and then finally heard in my spirit as her the word persevere.

Isn't that what we are learning. One of the things through a pandemic, a long, long time is into her, don't give up, and there is Mendez grace available for that and I want to learn all about it from from God's perspective especially go through long seasons that there's a great temptation to just to just give up Sylvester Stallone's movie in the 70s was unlikely to become a big hit. I spent only a million original Rocky. It won best picture. The story of of Rocky Balboa who was sort of a two bit fighter and was trying to prove it is not just a bomb and get set up to fight and sort of a mock bout with the heavyweight champion of the world Apollo Creed and Balboa was too stubborn to just go down and get knocked out like everybody else that Apollo Creed ever fights so it's just become iconic famous training. See punching me in the freezer and these running status in Philadelphia and then he comes into the fight and this this this big long financing is so dramatic and gets to the to the round, the second to the in the penultimate round and and it is been enduring all the way and then he gets knocked down and he's been so beaten and even as managers of their stay downstate out but he pulls himself on the on the ropes and any somehow stands up makes it through the round sits in the in his corner and his eyes are so swollen.

He does get that famous like a minute you know is like no you need to give you know evenly had voices and give up any goes back out and out of nowhere. Suddenly he just just has like this renewed strength for one final round starts landing some punches into creeds and drift and and he makes it to the in loses in a split decision point of the movie was.

He didn't have to when boxing match, he just needed to in order to the end because that was the victory he was looking for. Not to get knocked out not to give and so easy he he he loses money when it's all cares about it and it is famous below and never forget iconic. There is some time in life where it feels like every voice around you and inside you is saying give but like the story of Rocky and so many others we know often times the mark of victory. The real place of fruitfulness. The real success that the real breakthrough. It might just be one more round away.

It might just be one more lap you might just be one more step and there's a spiritual principle that seems to just be aware that when when we most feel like giving up is often the moment that we most need the grace to not give up because you usually right at that moment. I think the spiritual warfare think is right that moment when you feel like giving up your probably right on the edge of it all. Breaking through and just read all the stories in the Bible website about where you are looking coming weeks about how God promised to give the promised land to his people.

Little by little battle after battle or he might say Joshua march around Jericho, seven times, you know that there's a bunch of people about on the fifth or sixth time going. This is the dumbest thing I've ever done. Nothing is happening, which is marching around in there laughing at us.

A Syrian commander named name and leprosy and went to visit a prophet of God, who told him the word of the Lord was good in the Jordan River seven times.

Don't you know about the fourth or fifth or sixth time that this sophisticated general is like this is the dumbest thing I've ever done. How many people didn't quite make it to the seventh lap around Jericho. How many times did we stop and quit and give up right before there was going to be the real breakthrough in this something profound about the bearing underneath a difficult weight and not giving up. There's something happening inside there there. One of our prayer. Mrs. it is in added in the waiting is the blessing to good SQL. It is like bearing under under a weight that is pretty do sink 888 a kind of of of of perseverance and you and endurance in you. That leads to character, stealing your spirit that then build a whole mentality of hope for the future. Suffering produces perseverance. Perseverance, character, character, hope. Paul said, so the waiting expectantly, not just waiting like on his way, no waiting hopefully enduring expectantly there something powerful happening. There's a phenomenon that runners especially experience, but I think many athletes report. I have felt this at times before, where you get to where you just feel exhausted and it almost is like my muscles of the lockup runners experience this and they somehow they progress through a little pain and then on the other side of it. There's a strange feeling of rejuvenation and they call it getting their second wind meaning like I get my breath back.

I get in and assigned to study this. There's a probably a physiological explanation about something that happened with lactic acid in the body of the with impacting the muscles. I'm not sure, but what I'm saying is that there is likewise something in the spirit where if you hold on.

If you wait expectantly. Then there will be a second wind. Those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength and they will mount up like wings wings like eagles so I can't think of a more beautiful start to series on what it means to persevere and find your second wind in Isaiah chapter 40 the whole chapter but these some of the most beautiful poetic words in Hebrew and all the Bible. This prophecy, the word of the Lord in Isaiah 40 verse 28 have you not known, have you not heard the Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth is not faint or grow weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength use shelf faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted.

They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they show run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. They will in the spirit get their second this long. A pandemic and lots of waiting is not wasted is not wasted if indeed persevering through it is doing something inside us and that's worth thinking about it, that's Alan Wright will have more teaching moment from today's important series. Glad you heard about it with you, and you believed in my experience in the left but never myself love story from beginning to end spiritual bride of Christ, the perfect bike. The Bible tells my mom to walk with her anymore. It's gonna member the woman tasted the sweet love for you this night when he was searched for 255 what can only be found fully and Dr. the five love languages size incredible reality that God pursues us in life comes to F myself ancient biblical accounts explode in the extent this proposal and showing his embrace of gravel in his live after the match made in Rev. my soul right. We will send you a special offer. We are happy to send this to you as I thanked him Alan Wright Ministries, seven 877-544-4860 877-544-4861 come to our website pastor.like today's teaching you once again is my favorite inspirational stories hilarious find at least every few years so you been around for a long time. You've heard me tell you about Ruben Gonzalez.

He was a college soccer player who described himself above average athletic ability. He aspired to be an Olympic athlete problem was that he wasn't that good of an athlete and he didn't have a sport in which he could compete in the Olympics, so he decided that he would look at all the Olympics for starting with the summer sports all the track and field competitions.

Realizing no way would ever be athletic enough to run fast enough jump high enough to be strong enough to do any of the summer activities, and so he started looking at winter sports even though he didn't even grow up in an area where there was any snow and he called the Olympic Committee and the winter Olympic Committee training facility and he said hi want to compete to become part of the Olympic team and they said what is your score. And he said well I know I don't have a sport yet and the official said. What are you talking about the Olympics and their support is what what time is it. Well, he said no. I got a little more inclined towards the summer sports but not good enough rate is different sports on the Olympic made in the wintertime and there's time to not sports like into the sport of louche this skinny little sled goes down believably fast speeds on icy track and got really interested in the louche and know you understand you don't want to lose it is the most dangerous Olympics for about is there is no you don't understand.

Most people very very skilled in the louche, parent training and break multiple bones while training is official said you don't understand is said 9/10 people that come up here to train and try to make the Olympic team and louche quit before they even get to the end of the training is because I'm not a very good athlete but I never give up. So I'm not out of 10 people give me the & says dollars goes around saying if 10 people give before the and you just don't give no matter how skilled you are here already. Gonzalez went on to compete not only in the 1988 Olympics, but also in 19 92,002 and he made her come back in 2010. 90% of people give up before they get to the ends of you, don't give then you're already in the top 10% as part of the promise of blessing for those who persevere. There's a great promise runs through the Scripture is interesting what you begin to see something the word of God and look for see it everywhere as a perseverance, but is give you some sampling. Galatians 69. Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap we will reap say that with me. We will that's a promise. Don't give up will reap. Don't quit sowing the seed don't quit sowing seed don't quit sowing seed just because you haven't seen it sprout yet don't quit praying for the person you love don't stop blessing the person who doesn't yet get it, keep sowing in due season we will reap. There are so many blessings of fruitfulness just take time people give up way too early. Romans five. I've already mentioned, look at it again. We rejoice in our sufferings rejoice in suffering because there's a process know because what we know about suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame does not disappoint.

The NIV says because God's love is important in our hearts. So you're moving towards a character that up by and hope which is expectant certainty of good things from God that we were aiming is that we live in that kind of character and the more you endure through difficult times more that character gets built in their that's what God saying here. James 112 Blessed is the man who remain steadfast under trial when he is cast he will receive the crown of life which God has promised to those who are huge promise for those who persevere second Timothy two verse 11. The saying is trustworthy, for if we have died with him. We also live with him. If we endure, we will also reign with him.

If we just endure all… Keep going.

36 for you have need of rents so that when you done the will of God. You may receive what is promised. You see the theme over and over and over so many of the promises of God are made manifest in our lives simply by our capacity to persevere. Hebrews 10 Revelation 2 the whole of Revelation. In many ways the whole of Revelation, which little parentheses the way your appetite this summer really preach the book of Revelation is gonna be fun and what you wear your hip whole book of Revelation is really written to a people that are suffering under a heavy weight of adversity to say into her, and Revelation choose one example verse 25. Hold fast what you have until I come.

The one who conquers and keeps my works until the end.

Listen to this I would give authority over the nations. Isaiah 40. Here's our verse is they who wait for the Lord hears the promise shall renew their strength to mount up with wings like eagles Alan Wright, today's good news message for the weird in our series. Second with past relatives back with us in the studio shearing is boarding good news thought the day. Glad you believed my experience in the left but not of myself as a love story from beginning to end spiritual brown house, the perfect bike. The Bible tells Fremont Hispano member.
